we visited on a saturday night and we were in for a treat, the cocktails were amazing and the staff were excellent. Alex looked after us for most of the evening and he really knew his stuff

I travelled all the way from Australia with this awesome place at the top of our list. I want to say it did not disappoint one bit. The Staff are fabulous. The drinks are to die for and food is glorious. If you like the good old espresso martini, their tiramisu cocktail is 100% better. Definitely worth a visit or 10. 10/10
This has been my favourite cocktail bar in London since they started as a pop-up on Brick Lane. Great selection of drinks and snacks, their afternoon tea is amazing as well. Lovely team, good music & vibes. The perfect spot for a night out with your friends. Only disclaimer: you have to be chocoholic :D
We just walked in here as we were passing and it was near to our hotel. It wasn't very busy for a Saturday afternoon but the staff were really friendly and the drinks were excellent. I imagine as it's a Cocktail bar it must get much busier in the evening but we enjoyed our experience. We only stayed for two cocktails each as despite liking chocolate there is only so much chocolate you can drink in one go. But for chocolate lovers it would be heaven.
Came here as part of our 11 year anniversary celebration. What an awesome venue. Drinks to absolutely die for. Great value. Every single cocktail my wife and I drank were amazing and tasted exactly as they sounded. If you love chocolate and alcohol, then this is the place for you. Already planning our next visit. Rachel, one of the owners was awesome with her recommendations too. Do not think twice about visiting.
Beautiful cocktails, very understanding about an allergy (substitutions were offered). Great food. Amazing staff. Would highly recommend. We came as a pre-drinks before theatre.
Well I had been waiting a few years for the opportunity to visit here. Seeing our group had a few hours to spare before our evening meal, we booked one Sunday morning for a 1:30pm session for 4 . It did not disappoint. The location was 5 mins from Farringdon. The atmosphere was great with club tunes playing, the interior was warm and welcoming just like the two ladies who looked after us. We could upgrade our drinks from the £11.50 ones which was fab.We had the Toblerone, The Ferrero, Schmazing Strawberry, Bakewell Tart for round 1 drinks . Then Round 2 we moved onto Clockwork Orange, Bakewell Tart again, Jaffa Cake and Dancing in the dark- all again delicious. Round 3 was Rolo shots and our final round 4 was Kinder Shots. We really didn't want to leave. We watched others enjoy their afternoon teas which will have us returning to this great place. The toilets were great out back and clean. No complaints at all so no idea why the recent TripAdvisor reviews were shirty because our experience was excellent. Thank you to the staff there for making my partners 61st birthday afternoon so special, so fun and delicious. See you soon!
Went in with my sister in law. Was fantastic. Had a lovely warm scone with some jam and butter and my sister in law loved how it was nice and warm. Drinks were fantastic also.
We booked for a friend’s birthday present. We walked in the venue and noticed a horrible smell. Ant powder everywhere The sandwiches were hard where they were left out. I found a long hair inside the scone just as I cut it open. Toilets outside in the cold Ruined the afternoon
Firstly, the cocktail I had was nice. So why the poor review? To book a table, you have to pay £11.50 per person which gets you an £11.50 cocktail. There are only about 5 £11.50 cocktails on their menu and if you don't like one, that's touch. My wife really wanted a £12 cocktail but we were told she couldn't;t have one until she drank one of the £11.50 ones. So nearly 2/3 of the drinks menu is only accessible after you are made to choose from one of their cheaper cocktails. We asked to upgrade and pay the difference and they refused. You can downgrade to a mocktail which is ok but the website doesn't make it clear you can't upgrade. The staff person just said 'There's literally nothing I can do' (which wasn't true) and that 'It's in the T&Cs...which it actually isn't). We asked to leave but they wouldn't refund. In the end, my wife had a cocktail she just didn't want and then we left quickly. I've never been to a small food/drink restaurant where the staff are so unhelpful and rigid in trying to make you enjoy the experience or become a retuning customer. The irony is that we were planning on returning with friends before we visited and now we won't go back. We just didn't enjoy the experience at all
We had an amazing time at The Chocolate Cocktail Club, the cocktails are unreal, best chocolate martinis I've ever had. The venue is sweet, with wonderful staff, they couldn't do enough for you. Couldn't recommend highly enough!
Awful experience, the whole place smelt really badly of what can only be described as wet dog. The cocktails tasted like nesquick made with water, my second cocktail was meant to be pistachio but had no resemblance to pistachio at all. My friend couldn’t even drink her cocktails at all. I asked where the toilet was and the lady who was serving us said “don’t take your coat off it’s outside” and it was pretty dire. The whole experience was definitely not one I would repeat.
Not impressed. Place was cute, staff was great but drinks were all sugar and water down, never felt the buzz. I don't think I will come back.
We had a lovely afternoon visiting the Chocolate Cocktail Club. It's a lovely atmosphere with 80s music and decor and the cocktails were delicious. My friend and I had 2 each and I loved the signature Chocatini! Excellent service from Holly and the bar staff and a magical little haven away from the busier side of London. Thank you!
My daughter bought me a voucher as a gift. Hubby and I had previously visited the pop-up in Shoreditch so were looking forward to this visit. Unfortunately the bar in Farringdon is tiny with seating really close to other guests so much so that I felt the sneeze from the woman on my right and could hear the whole conversations of everyone around me. The website states that you can choose from three options for your first cocktail. The waiter however said we had to have a chocotini and asked me to show him where I saw a choice of three on the website. I duly obliged. The cocktails were very nice but the food was tasteless. A waitress later approached our table and announced loudly: ‘I’m afraid I’m going to have to give you your half hour warning now.’ A warning? Seriously? There must be a more polite way to say there’s only half an hour remaining of our ninety minutes slot. Then a different waiter approached our table to ask if we’d like to order another drink. I told him we’d have no time to drink it as we’d already been given a warning. The website tells customers to ‘lick the rim’ and the people to my right did just that. It wasn’t pleasant to see a lady licking both the inner and outer rim of her glass while her friend scooped out the remains of her drink with her fingers whilst shouting that what she really needed was a spoon. Not a great experience at all, sadly.
We had such a lovely time here. If you love chocolate this is definitely the place for you! All our drinks were superb and Alex was a great host taking our orders. Would highly recommend for something different to do in London
Lovely visit to the chocolate cocktail club. Great service and unique drinks at a great price. We will be back. Thank you!
Had a fantastic afternoon here with a friend! She booked the afternoon tea for my birthday and we had the best time. The afternoon tea was delicious with a variety of sandwiches and lots of chocolatey treats! We also had a cocktail included but we still sampled more. Would definitely recommend!
We had a wonderful afternoon celebrating our chocoholic friends birthday. But why oh why did the music have to be so loud. We did ask if they could turn it down but their answer was its pre set . Such a shame as it could have been a perfect afternoon
My partner recently won an Easter competition at The Chocolate Cocktail Club. This was our third time visiting & it was amazing yet again. Anne Marie especially was brilliant, my partner has recently been diagnosed with coeliac disease & she could not have been more helpful with this, she provided a separate menu showing the gluten free options & detailing what my partner could have & explained everything in detail putting my partner at ease. Great atmosphere, service, music & not forgetting the yummiest cocktails! We’ll definitely be visiting again!
Amazing menu of delightful chocolate cocktails! The Easter menu looked amazing, the regular menu also had loads of choices, we had a few each and still wanted more! Flavourful and different types of chocolate. They also have food on the menu, which I didn't realise before going here. Great vibes in general inside.
Absolutely amazing. I adored every drink I had. The service was amazing, I didn't catch his name but the Scottish server was lovely and helpful. I will definitely be back in the future.
Did the chocolate cocktail making after seeing the chocolate cocktail club on dragons’ den. Really enjoyed making the cocktails and the small group of us - a group of 4 - 2 Mums and two daughters and two couples got to know one another a bit. Oliver our cocktail making teacher was really sweet and gave us all the kits and talk through so we could make two delicious cocktails each. We also ordered the Black Forest Old Fashioned, which was just fantastic! Would love to go back again and enjoy with friends. A hidden gem! Enjoy!
A very warm welcome and a fantastic atmosphere for a hen party. Great food, gorgeous drinks, fantastic service. Recommended.
Great place for a night if you like chocolate a must visit. Staff go above and beyond. Will definitely be going back.
Went here yesterday for some drinks, I'd highly recommend booking as it goes get full and they were having to turn people away. Our server Anne Marie was super friendly and helpful and gave recommendations for drinks to try. I'd absolutely recommend the Rolo Shot, it's a better version of a baby Guinness imo. Fave drink was the Tipsy Tiramisu. Will definitely be visiting again.
We were quite excited to visit but it was sadly a bit of a disappointment which is a shame Firstly we were advised the previous day that we’d need to book on-line. We did and were charged £2 in order to do so!! Rip-off. Then you’re told, post payment of your booking on-line that the cocktail that’s included in the fee is from a very minor choice of cocktails!! Couldn’t really taste any alcohol ie they were quite weak. For our second cocktail we had the Cherry Bakewell which was nice but again, little alcohol. And a Black Forest Old Fashioned which was ok. Friendly service but it’s hard to see the chocolate theme in the bar. I think this is a novelty place and the novelty will wear off.
Smaller space than expected but it made the experience very intimate and sweet. Me and her shared a few of the drinks which some may find too sweet but it is all abo it the chocolate! Pleasant staff who gave lots of recommendatoins
Pre booked online as from what the website says was best to ensure we got a table. We very quiet when we came which was mid afternoon so need not have paid in advance. Had two cocktails each. These were ok but just like drinking cold milkshake in our opinion. Nicely presented though. Only visited after seeing on dragons den. Very little atmosphere in the location and my main peeve was service charge when billed! Made the cocktails very pricey. I would have happily walked to the bar each drink to order. Sadly one visit is enough for us.
I tried four different cocktails and they were all delicious! It’s a small venue but has a lovely ambience. Our server was friendly and knowledgable and the drinks arrived quickly. The venue itself is small but very welcoming and unpretentious. I’ll be returning very soon!
Booked a 4:30pm slot through their website, which takes you to DesignMyNight to handle the booking. Design My Night clearly states that the booking price includes one drink, but only after you have paid does it tell you that it is one of three particular drinks. When we arrived, we asked if we could upgrade the drinks, by paying the difference. We were told that this was not possible, as the bar is usually too busy to allow this. As a special "goodwill gesture", we were told that we would be able to choose an alternative drink costing £10.50 or less, but could not, under any circumstances, buy drinks that were more expensive (and pay the difference). We, and the two customers next to us, were stunned by this. We choose one drink at £10.50 and one at £9.50, drank up quickly, and left (having previously planed to have at least a couple of cocktails each). We left, and went around the corner to a bar that was only too happy to accept our money. Ironically, customers who just walked-in off the street had no such problems: this policy only applies to those that had gone to the trouble of making a booking.
Small cocktail bar located in the city of London, 3 mins walking distance from an underground station. The cocktails were nice, innovative, rich. The service was polite and nice. You need to reserve a table somewhere nice is a small place. You can pay my card. Toilets were clean
Great place, lovely cocktails and amazing service. Would love a cocktail mini tasting sharing option, as so many wonderful cocktails on the menu.
A total scam. In our opinion. The cakes were from packs and disgusting. The chocolate drinks were from Cadbury or the like mixed with water; it was totally undrinkable. The scones were most definitely from a pack and dry. To enjoy this place you need to be drank.
The place is not so crowded on a weekday night. 'Chocotini' is delicious and ice cream is nicely presented in small scoop wrapped in sweet glutinous rice. The lady owner is also friendly and would initiate a chat with the guests. It's one of the pubs to redeem a cocktail for London Pass users (maybe depends on the package).
We had a really fun time at the chocolate cocktail club. The vibe was relaxed and intimate. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. They gave me a full breakdown menu of ingredients, when I said I was vegan. which really helped. The decor was simple but stylish and quirky. We each had several cocktails which were all lovely. I opted for the vegan chocatini and a couple of rum old fashioneds. I was slightly worried the drinks might be too sickly if they were all incredibly chocolate based - but that wasn’t the case at all. Would definitely like to go back soon and try some more!
We have an annual Christmas afternoon tea ritual and chose well. So many can be pretentious but we enjoyed the venue, the food, the drinks and the friendliness of the staff. It’s a small venue, hence the narrow food menu, but it was prepared and presented beautifully and was just the right amount - so much usually gets left. The price reflects that you are served the right amount. The cocktails we had during and after were a great change to the regular types you get on a night out and were my favourite drink combinations!! Thank you - we will be back!!
This is a lovely place to go for some cocktails. Beautiful ambience. Friendly, professional staff and exquisite cocktails. Highly recommend.
We only had time for 2 wonderful tasting and unique chocolate related cocktails. Great friendly staff and just up the road from Farringdon station one stop from Tottenham court road on the queen Elizabeth line , it's very much worth a visit for a great and unique experience
We had afternoon tea here and cocktails. Excellent portion size just enough. Staff very friendly and welcoming if you love chocolate a must visit
We went to the chocolate cocktail club with intentions of having a few drinks but ended up trying almost the whole menu it was that good! If you're looking for sweet indulgent cocktails this is the right place to go. It's a small bar but that's what makes it special providing a certain amount of intimacy to the venue. Cocktails are delicious, and all of the staff were more than welcoming and friendly. A special mention to Anne-Marie who went above and beyond and recommended cocktails tailored to our specific tastes and advised on future special menus making our trip all the more memorable. A fun day/evening/night out and would definitely recommend to others, along with intentions of also returning ourselves at some point in the future to indulge some more❤️.
Lovely way to spend the afternoon! Staff were great, attentive and helpful. What fantastic chocolate inspired cocktails to choose from ....... and we tried many of them. Our favourite was the rolo shot ...... a definite must when visiting!
Very enjoyable evening spent tasting a variety of chocolate cocktails. Friendly helpful staff plus a relaxed atmosphere. A small place with pretty decor. A great selection of drinks on the menu plus food was worth a try too. Highly recommend
Went for my birthday with my friends and had a wonderful time. With your ticket you get a free cocktail which was good. We then brought a couple of more cocktails and shots which was all great and brilliantly priced. Setting was cut and staff were great.
