Comprehensive tour of street art in East London. Our guide Josh was patient and informative. He threw in a lot of local history as well as overall history of street art. My friend and I also did the workshop after the tour and had so much fun.

Absolute awesome tour - MUST DO the workshop afterwards ! Josh : thanks so much for sharing your knowledge + talent.
Very nice and interesting tour. Knowledgeable and entertaining tourguide Gary.
This tour was fascinating. In addition to seeing highly talented street art, our guide provided tremendous insight into the culture and protocols we would never have known without his guidance. It was extremely interesting to hear how street artists get their start, to understand their signature styles, and what drives them. I highly recommend this tour for a totally different way of seeing a piece of London.
We did the Street Art Tour and Spray Painting Workshop led by Josh. It was my friend's 50th Birthday year and I wanted to do something "different" for her. Well a whole new world was opened to us, and we both absolutely loved it ! Even though it was pouring with rain our entire tour, we were both absolutely hooked. Although I can't say we loved all the art on display, we now, I think, "get it" and see it all "as art". So thank you Josh! And the spray painting workshop was super fun!
Brilliant walk around East London seeing some amazing Art, Josh our guide was absolutely fantastic, so knowledgeable and passionate about London Street Art. Josh then facilitated the making of a stencil and the use of spray paints to create our own “street art” in their studio. Really highly recommended and very good value.
A wide range of art, incredibly knowledgeable tour guide, and fun workshop time. As a Londoner, I probably wouldn’t have signed up for a proper street art tour, but my 75 y/o mom wanted to do it and make a “graffiti” tote bag— and it was well worth it! I’m glad we did this tour and highly recommend!
We are a family of 4, ranging from 12-78 yrs old and we all enjoyed the tour and practical street art experience. Laura (herself an artist), is knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide, she was very informative, fun and immensely engaging. She engaged with each member of the group, in fluent English and French, showing awareness and genuine interest in each individual. The content of information was fascinating and well delivered – history and cultural politics and most of all Street Art in abundance of every description and variety of artists. The workshop experience guided by Laura was explained and developed. She encouraged interaction and advice which was both satisfying and fun. A brilliant three hours!
The Tour was very intetesting, also regarding history and some insider :) Nice tour guide. And most fun: the painting Workshop
A super experience walking and talking about art. Our guide was very knowledgeable and had good experience using the spray paints. We had a great time.
We booked this tour to do something a little off the beaten path- something less touristy. It is in an area of London that we may not have thought to venture to on our own. It was a great experience and gives us a new appreciation for street art. We also learned a lot about the area, which we enjoyed. We participated in the workshop at the end and it gives you an appreciation on how difficult it is to make art with spray paint! Ava was a great guide. Definitely take this to explore east London.
We had Gabi as our tour guide and he was amazing! He knew so much about the art and artists and showed us so many amazing pieces, both big and small. The ever changing landscape of London and the art world is incredible to witness and knowing that if we came back next year to do the tour again, most of the art would be different is something that makes me feel like this tour is a must do for everyone, every time they visit London. What an awesome way to experience Brick Lane and learn about the history of graffiti and street art. Fantastic!!
Myself, wife & daughter booked the tour & workshop We had the best time, the tour was funny, informative & more than interesting & inspirational for my daughter We took the enthusiasm back to the studio & my daughter was overflowing with idea If you want to experience a fun afternoon lead by a Passionate & knowledgeable guide/ teacher then do not hesitate
Highly suggest this tour for any art lovers! My 12 yr son and I loved it. Lots of walking. Josh was super knowledgeable and patient.
Natalie was a total legend! Knowledgeable, fun and passionate about street art. Myself and my 10 year old son had a fantastic afternoon. The workshop was amazing, we could have stayed for hours. We might have to do it again! Highly recommend.
Great tour, our guide Natalie was fantastic, very knowledgeable about art and artists. The workshop was also great fun for our kids (11, 13). Thank you
Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and shared interesting stories and facts. My kids are 9 and 11. They wished the tour part was a little shorter and the creating art part was a little longer, but I thought it was a good mix. Even my son who usually isn't into art was quite excited to try it out. Everyone had a great time - definitely one of the most memorable parts of our trip to London.
My 12yr old grandson and I just loved our tour! Ava was so friendly, knowledgeable and interesting to listen to, and we had a fabulous afternoon. We also enjoyed having a go at spray painting ourselves afterwards. This is a great tour to do at any age. I bought it as a present for my grandson, and another grandson now wants to do the same, so I'm delighted to be able to do it again! It was also a bonus to start from Smithfield Market; a lovely place to wander around and get some lunch before the tour.
I learned so much! Josh was so knowledgeable and passionate about the street art community. We were not originally scheduled for the workshop, but we were able to add it onto our experience- after hearing about the history and culture of street art, we wanted to try it out!
Eva was fantastic. The graffiti addin was unexpectedly entertaining. Great for couples and families alike.
Took my kids 13 & 10 and had a brilliant time. We enjoyed learning about the pieces and artists as well as the political messages behind some of them. It’s a beautiful way to see East London and learn about its recent history. Ava our guide was knowledgeable and engaging. The workshop afterwards was really great fun too.
Been to Brick lane and environs on my own several times, but nothing beats getting a local's knowledge of the ins and outs. The dude was a street artist himself and had just the right mix balance of edge and charm needed to make this tour fun and authentic.
Laura was our excellent guide. We could feel her passion for the art, and it helped make the tour informative and enjoyable. Highly recommend.
Of all the amazing things my son and I did in London, this was THE best! Enjoyed every second, made extra brilliant by the very knowledgeable and personable Natalie! Cannot recommend this tour enough!
This tour was absolutely amazing! Learnt so much about street art, graffiti and history around the city. Highly recommend this tour. Our guide Natalie was amazing!
This was brilliant. Laura was a superb guide and kept our teenage boys interested. The highlight was the spray paint workshop at the end. the older went straight out and bought his own paint!
4 of us had a great time on this walk. Natalie was our guide and she gave us a great insight into the world of street art, graffiti, tags & slaps. I’ve done other walks around Spittlefields & Brick Lane which have also covered street art, but this one was much more interesting. There was more insight into the techniques and materials different artists use and the messages & drivers behind their art. I also found the discussions around the motivation, politics & legalities interesting. I loved that we got to go back to the workshop and use spray cans & stencils afterwards!
Tour was great. The tour guide was patience, informative and nice. I learned alot about street art. Spray painting was lot of fun. Highly recommend.
Absolutely fab tour with Josh. The work shop graffiti session was really good as well People should def book that as well Thankyou.
Natalie rocks! It was an absolute blast and I am looking forward to enjoying more tours with you guys in the future!!! Keep up with the good work!!! Greetings from Lisboa!!!
well done guys! you have smashed it, what a nice experience there. i strongly recommend for all street art culture lovers :)
It was very interesting to hear the history and styles of street art. We also did the hands on spray painting and enjoyed have the opportunity to create.
We went on the Alternative Street Art Walking tour - had a great time! Our guide had some great stories about the art and also some recommendations for other things to do around Brick Lane. Tour is a few hours without stops, so definitely bring some water if you get thirsty.
Tour guide was amazing knew so much stuff and delivered in suc a great way. Workshop at end was also great
Natalie was very knowledgeable and we could tell that she was passionate about street art. I would highly recommend the workshop at the end.
Fantastic tour and great workshop! Kids also enjoyed it a lot! Excellent explanation of the types of art and very friendly atmosphere created by our guide, Josh!
Josh was a very experienced and knowledgeable tour guide. It was interesting to listen to his perspective on street art and the different types of art that can be found in the streets. I loved learning about the etiquette involved in the way street artists treat each other to show respect...or disrespect. We walked for about an hour and a half and saw countless works of street art. Some were still in the process of being made as we were walking by. After the walking tour there was the option to create your own artwork with spray paint. Very well done and thank you for giving me a better understanding of this art form.
The owner did our tour, and it was amazing. Street art is definitely his passion, and he was very informative and personable. The spray painting workshop session was so much fun. It was easily the highlight of our trip.
Our guide was great to interact with and SO KNOWLEDGEABLE! Highly recommend to anyone interested in Street Art or to educate themselves on the culture of the amazing city of London!
Exciting insights into London’s streetart culture spiced up with historical background of the East End. Truly recommending this tour and workshop ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Our guide Josh was very knowledgeable & informative, and I appreciated his passion for street art. The workshop following the tour was hands-on fun, and really emphasized the skill level needed for the street art we saw on the tour. Definitely recommend!
Amazing. Don't miss it. Gary was fantastic, and very welcoming. The tour is very interesting even if you don't know much about the East end of London or street art. I learnt so much about not only street art techniques but the history of this community which Gary cares so much about. It was a freezing and miserable when I did it but I completely forgot about the cold because it was so interesting. You will see amazing creativity and techniques and I highly recommend the taste workshop with the spray cans..super relaxing. All of us enjoyed playing with colours and shapes. One of the best tours I have ever done in London and I've been living here for 25 years. I highly recommend it and it would also be my first choice for team building activities. I will do it again with friends and family. Really brilliant!
My 15 year old loved it! Really interesting, will forever look at street art in a new & enlightened way. Great passionate tour guide & teacher!
Great guided walk around an interesting part of London. A very knowledgeable guy, Gary, gives you an insight to the field of street art and more! He's informative, entertaining, engaging and reads his group wery well. You will see pretty remarkable pieces of art that might not all be there tomorrow! The group has a fair number of people and you can hear all his comments during the walk. In the workshop he is very encouraging and gives good and accurate instructions. All is safe and we had great fun! On the web it says, that a piece of card for your artwork is included, but it wasn't 😶 You can buy a canvas at the workshop which is also fine
Gary is an excellent tour guide. He is very knowledgeable, personable and passionate about the topic. The street are itself is amazing. I have to admit the best part of the day was the spray painting workshop. I highly recommend this tour.
Alice was a fantastic tour guide. It was so great to learn about the history of the street art and then go on to spray paint myself. She went above and beyond by asking me where I was headed next and recommending more street art in the area. Highly recommend this tour!
Brilliant time spent with the Alternative London crew - the walking tour was so interesting and the workshop was really fun. Neither of us are particularly arty but we managed to create two canvases we were super happy with. Would thoroughly recommend.
Great guide. Interesting tour. Fun workshop. Gave an interesting insight to street art in the East End.
Really good Friendly guide and he really knew what he was talking about. Spray painting was fun and I learnt so much! Definitely worth your money.
My 13 year old and I had a lot of fun, specially during the spray paint work shop. Our guide, Josh, fun and knowledgeable. Recommended
