Reviews
Stonehenge is amazing to look at. This tour would be way better with a guide. Even someone to give theories about what’s going on. Plan on a full day
This was a great short tour. Bus driver Rob was amazing, full of great information and help on getting around London.
Reading other reviews, I was led to believe the driver would give some information as we drove - this was not the case. This was purely a shuttle ride. There were no directions given on how to enter site and driver didn’t announce what time we would leave, so everyone was asking individually and there was some confusion. Some guidance would have been preferred about what to expect. Also, the instructions to find the bus departure spot and where we would be dropped off were unclear on the ticket and not clarified on-site. We remained on schedule which is appreciated. A minor point: No hot drinks allowed on the bus which meant quickly downing my coffee first thing - would have appreciated a heads up as this is unusual. Stonehenge itself is fantastic.
Was the perfect way to see Stonehenge!! Our driver Patrick was very friendly and gave some interesting facts. Though you can’t get close enough to touch the stones we got alot closer than the naysayers made it seem. Glad we did it!
Rob was kind & easy going. It was a great trip & was easy to maneuver. Only wish we had more time there.
Experience was a fulfilment of a buck list item. Very pleased. Walking up close to something that was constructed over 2000 years ago was mind boggling. From research that I have done they think that some of the stones were quarried in Scotland. An amazing fete. What I found hard to cope with was the air conditioning turned up full bore and the fan blasting loudly for both the trips yo and from Stonehenge. The driver was knowledgeable and pointed out places of historical interest which was greatly appreciated.
Rob is an excellent bus driver, funny and very easy to ask questions of very informative.
The tour itself was good, however I’m rating it so low because the speaker on the bus was broken and crackling the ENTIRE ride and it was not a short ride. The poor driver couldn’t even relay any messages properly to the whole bus he had to yell and then come to the back of the bus to let us know the important things. The company really needs to do some maintenance on their buses.
Love our driver/ guide Armondo was amazing. He was fun and informative. Great tour!!!!
Absolutely loved this tour! It was such an easy and stress-free way to visit Stonehenge from London, especially as a solo traveller. The coach ride was comfortable and everything felt really well organised. We had plenty of time at Stonehenge to explore, take photos and actually enjoy the site without feeling too rushed. Seeing it in person was such a surreal experience and absolutely worth the trip. I’m so glad I booked the half-day option because it gave me the experience I wanted while still leaving plenty of the day free once we got back to London. Would definitely recommend!
Richard did a great job driving through traffic plus give us a commentary on places we drove past. Very interesting trip
Armando was great, he provided a lot of information on the drive
This was a fun excursion. The bus timely. The driver Key was professional and informative. I recommend seeing the stones it's a wonderful experience.
While Stonehenge is interesting, once you see it you think, now what? The provided lunch was not something that most people would enjoy ( a Mediterranean bowl) so we ended up having to purchase food at the cafe which was an added expense. I think this tour may be more appealing if combined with another stop However I am glad we saw it once
I wrote the review two weeks ago but wasn't able to add a photo of the bus stop for Stonehenge.
It was very organized, on time, and our driver Rob was sooooo amazing. He was funny and very knowledgeable:) Highly recommend this tour!
The bus was well maintained, clean and comfortable. The tour itself was extremely informative and interesting. Not only was the drive to Stonehenge very smooth, but also it was very interactive. The driver, Richard, who was at our service was very enthusiastic about the whole trip which made it even better.
Great visit. Friendly tour guide. Great information. Lee was our driver and he was hilarious.
Wonderful way to go to Stonehenge from London . Even though it wasn’t a guided tour, driver gave a running commentary about the area.
Finally got to see Stonehenge in person. The weather was perfect and the tour was perfect. We chose not to do the full day tour and timing was just perfect.
There were tremendous lineups to go to the stones by bus so we decided to walk as they said 25 minutes. It wasn't even that close for a 71 year old and with the heat at 29C. So glad the bus back was only a 15 minute wait.
Excellent trip. Driver was amazing!!
Great trip! Driver gave us interesting info on the way out of London and we had the perfect amt of time at Stonehenge. Easy trip w two kids.
Tour bus driver did a nice tour of London on the way to and from Stonehenge, even though it was not a guided tour.
It was great, we left promptly, had ample time to view the stones and got back safely. All I wanted for the experience.
There are likely better ways to get there. This did the job but it was cramped and the screens were useless. The commentary may as well not have been given it was mostly notes on traffic and a few obvious observations. Stonehenge though is certainly worth seeing and this wasn’t very expensive. It is nothing but transport but it works.
The timing was perfect: we were able to see Stonehenge without feeling rushed and still return with half a day left to enjoy. Our driver, Armando, was helpful and shared interesting insights about London along the way, which was a pleasant bonus and more than we expected.
This was such a comfortable and easy trip! Regie, our driver, had fantastic commentary on London’s history and infrastructure. He was funny and explained everything very well! Once we got to Stonehenge it was pretty straight forward how to get the shuttle to the stones. There were no long ques, or delays, shuttles were running almost every minute. Overall a great city break! Highly recommend!
Patrick was an excellent guide great day in Stonehenge
Was a lovely driver , and Stonehenge ❣️ was awe inspiring would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting the area !!!
Ideal time for a quick trip. Must see in the vicinity of London. Would have loved the option to stay back for an extended visit. 2 hours at the site is too short, particularly when the weather is good.
Great option for half day trip to stonehenge for families with young children
The bus was easy to find, the drivers were friendly and helpful and the bus amenities made the ride comfortable. All timing was accurate as well.
Nice air conditioned ride, driver was friendly.
The experience was so much fun! Fun, safe, & knowledgeable tour guide! Stonehenge was lovely and enjoyable. Easy booking and convenient.
Our bus driver was warm funny and well-informed. I enjoyed this trip, and I suggest everyone bring layers.😁
The bus driver was not helpful. Going to Stonehenge the bus was stifling hot. Only when I yelled out to get some air did he turn on the air. He did not say anything to us when we started. No welcome aboard or any description of what to expect. He was quiet the whole way except when he got angry at another driver and started yelling at him. We were to have 2 hours at Stonehenge but we only had 1 1/2 hours which was a little tight on time. When we got back to the bus he just looked at us and said nothing. Not friendly at all. Again it became stifling hot and someone asked for air. The driver said he couldn’t turn it on because it would fog up the windshield. So the ride back to London was miserable. I gave it two stars because Stonehenge was great. The rest of it was not.
Travel details , instructions for pickup were clear and accurate Tour driver was professional and courteous and the ride was smooth The tour is excellent and well worth the time and money
What an amazing experience, all thanks to our superb person for the day , ARMANDO , though not in his profile , but he gave us so much information which is not his job , his wit and cordial behaviour took our hearts away . Well recommended to everyone, golden tours rock .
The Stones were amazing. The bus was just okay. The vents wouldn’t adjust, clocks were broken, etc. It wasn’t a guided tour, but a little information, like that there was a toilet on the bus, there is a free shuttle to the stones from the gift shop, your wrist band lets you skip the line, etc would have been helpful.
Well worth it. There was enough time to see Stonehenge and visit the exhibits. I can’t say enough good things about our driver Mario. Besides being an amazing driver he was extremely helpful getting our phone back when we lost it.
Great experience our driver Armando was very nice and gave great insight and facts about the city of London on our way to Stonehenge.
Bus stop 8 is hard to find. More specific directions should be provided like nearest underground stop and a street address.
Wonderful half‑day trip to Stonehenge. The tour ran on time, admission was included, and the coach was comfortable. Big shout‑out to our staff Elvio, who shared lots of fun and insightful facts about London along the way. He made the journey just as enjoyable as the destination.
Our driver was fun and accommodating. The time at Stonehenge was just enough to snap some pictures and visit the shop.
The full amount of time is not enough to learn about the Stonehenge. Also, afternoon could be better than the early morning crowds from all over.
A great way to visit Stonehenge. Convenient start near Victoria bus station area. About 2+ hours each way with almost 2 hours at the Site. Armando was very informative during our drive through London, and again about Stonehenge. He was friendly and fun. He asked if we needed help finding our transport when we got back. There was a toilet on the bus, hurray! The only drawback... seatbelts are required but the bus did not have any seat belt extenders for plus size passengers. Other tours I have been on had these, as well as airlines. The Stonehenge shuttle was great, but there is a lot of walking to circle the stones.
Good experience. Nice day. Te driver, Armando, excelente.
Kirin was a fabulous driver, describing many sites along the way to Stonehenge. My only feedback would be to give better directions as to where stop 8 is located ( past Victoria station near Eccleston ). Otherwise highly recommend this trip!
