Great tour. The tourist guide was very informative, friendly and knowledgeable. She gave a quick 15 minute walking tour through Oxford and that really helped get us you our destination.

We had a wonderful time. Our guide Fraya was amazing and had so many wonderful suggestions. The weather was not the best but she made it fun and entertaining. Our driver Rohan was fantastic and friendly. Definitely recommend London Day Tours.
Had a amazing day and were so lucky with the weather The audio app for the details of the Site was a must have to get the most out of the walk around The timing of this tour was spot on and we were lucky to be in the first visitors for the day You must try the tasting of the mead at the gift shop, so good The trip to Oxford was worth the time and what a amazing place so much history and the architecture is amazing Heaps of food options We went to a historic little pub called the Bear for a pint And later had a wonderful coffee and cake at a little hidden Jen called the Organic Deli Cafe a local family owned cafe Big day and worth every minute We got back at the pick up spot and the traffic was crazy so we went to a local recommended pub called the Hereford inn for dinner Great food and local feel Gave enough time for the traffic to settle down for the trip back to the hotel
Excellent experience, blessed with good weather which made all the outdoor walking more manageable. A great choice if travellers look for a good-for-value day trip to Stonehenge and Oxford. I was lucky to have Freya as the tour guide and Eddie the driver, both of whom are professional and friendly. Freya knows a lot about Stonehenge and Oxford, providing us with extra factual details that I find interesting and useful. Eddie is a skilled driver. I was particularly impressed with the way he manoeuvred the coach and made a U-turn in the middle of a road in Oxford to avoid a traffic standstill. On the whole, I was more than 100% satisfied and happy with this day trip.
Giles was an amazing tour guide! It was the perfect amount of time at each spot. We really enjoyed this tour!
This was a great experience. Tiger was my guide and Tony was our driver. Everything was on time, had plenty of stops to use the restroom/get food, and loads of interesting facts and commentary throughout. It was great going to Stonehenge in early September when the crowds were not a problem. Then at Oxford we started with a walking tour to get acquainted with the area and plenty of time to explore independently. The bus was comfortable and had a place to charge devices. Highly recommend doing Stonehenge and Oxford as a combination trip.
An easy day trip from London to Stonehenge and Oxford. Thanks to Louise and John for making this an engaging and relaxing journey out of London. Good photo opportunities and plenty of free time.
John the driver was very nice and kept us all safe. Louise was pure delight! she was outstanding in every way and her sense of humor was perfect for the group! We recommend her 100% to anyone needing a tour guide. She was knowledgeable and made both Stonehenge and especially Oxford a pleasure to visit, she answered every question, was helpful suggesting places to eat local dishes, friendly in all the best ways!
It was an amazing day out! Our tour guide, Samuel, was very informative, knowledgeable, and entertaining. He was absolutely fantastic. Our driver, Simon, was professional, and his driving was very smooth and comfortable. We had an amazing day, and I highly recommend this tour for families.
Had a fantastic Stonehenge tour from London! Our guide and driver, Simon, was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the journey really enjoyable. Everything was well organised, and Simon gave us great information throughout the trip. Thank you!!!
The vist and guide tour Dayse was amazing. We loved it. The visit to Oxford was great and very full of história.
Great tour. The tour guide Trish was wonderful. Very informative, engaging and helpful. The drive itself was smooth; zero issues. Nice bus with comfortable seats. Just the right amount of time at Stonehenge but I do wish we could have spent DAYS in Oxford, it was so cute.
Had a great trip with Sinead and Elijah. Both were very organized and were able to keep all of us on a schedule to make the most of the entire day. Sinead had a great sense of humor and provided lots of facts and info about both places. She provided guidance on how to get the most of the time in both places and how to best approach the visits! I would go again!
An incredible way to see a bit of England outside London! Freya and Laura were amazing hosts and guides. I’d recommend it to anyone!
The trip was well organized and executed with impeccable time management by the guide Ms. Phoebe and driver Mr. Rowan. Both the staff were very kind. Phoebe is very knowledgeable about History.
A very well organized tour. Our tour guide Amy was very informative and gave clear instructions for the day. We were in the very back of the bus which unfortunately got very hot on the trip back despite air conditioning. Stonehenge was impressive & Oxford very beautiful. Amy’s tour thru Oxford was interesting and she gave good recommendations for activities in our own. We had lunch in the covered market area and then walked to Kemble College which was very pretty
This is a great opportunity to get to see Stonehenge and Oxford. Our tour guide (Louise) had a lot of recommendations for London and sites to see on Oxford. However, this is ALOT of driving time. About 6 hours of this tour is in a bus. And, this is not a guided tour at all. Once you get to the locations, you are on your own.
This tour was informative and very enjoyable. Trish (Tour Group Leader) was friendly and very knowledgeable about Stonehenge and Oxford. Luke the Driver drove us there and back very safely. I would take another tour with Trish and Luke.
Good tour but we stood in line to get on the shuttle to get out to Stonehenge & back for most of our allotted time there. We left late waiting for a couple people in London and those minutes mattered....
Not for anyone with interest in history. Very rushed at Stonehenge, only had enough time to snap a couple of photos and get back in the bus. No time to even enter the museum. Oxford was ok. Bus seats are for children, tiny and extremely uncomfortable. Guide (Louise) clearly knows zero British history. Stumbled over the pre-prepared speeches. Gave a ton of incorrect information (e.g. William was king in 1791, was George III). Appeared more familiar with where to eat in London than any other topic. She should be on tours for food or shopping, not history. She made several disparaging remarks about the monuments as well. Far out of her depth. This tour was very low level compared to others I’ve done in the same areas. Would not go with this company again.
I would have expected more for the money value.
I have limited time in England and my companion REALLY wanted to see Stonehenge. I debated trying to arrange our own trip in order to save money. I truly feel like our guide and trip that I selected actually saved us money. Our guide, Giles, had a lot of great information about affordable options on our day trip and after. In addition, it was stress free. Nothing on vacation ever feels stress free, as I’m always the one planning everything. I am glad we selected the day to Stonehenge and Oxford. Any more activities would be too short of time, and only doing one feels like we would have missed out. While in Oxford we had time on our own to do what we choose. We toured St John college and the museum, both for free, in addition to the stores, eating at the covered market etc. There is a near magical garden tucked away in St John’s beyond the courtyard. The museum had a lot of great artifacts and we enjoyed it a lot. Now that the rest of our trip is on me, I’m back to being stressed!
Tiger and Darren were great guides. Tiger had a lot of historical context and mode the trip enjoyable.
We are so glad we took this day trip. I definitely recommend combining Stonehenge with Oxford. Stonehenge on its own is a quick, busy, and touristy experience. Oxford was just magical. It makes us want to visit again on our own. Great tour, very educational, and fantastic tour guides!
There is a lot of walking on uneven surfaces, so wear the appropriate shoes. Take an early tour to avoid the crowds & have an umbrella handy!! Our Oxford tour guide, Amy, was very knowledgeable & I would highly recommend requesting her if possible. She has a great personality & lots of fun-filled stories to keep you entertained & interested.
The entire experience was wonderful. Phoebe and elijah were amazing. Stonehenge and Oxford are places I always wanted to visit!
Louise & Diana were excellent. Louisevery knowledgeable & keep us informed about Stonehenge, Oxford and London. Diana is an excellent driver. Thanks for a great tour
Our guide Amy was excellent. She told us about the areas we were traveling through as well as our two destinations.
Ok experience. Stonehenge impressive. Oxford busy college impressive. Although I had confirmed, left off at totally different spot, I guess for convenience of staff. Really annoying
Trish was absolutely the best tour guide me and my family have ever had. Can’t say enough great things. Thank you so much!
Very interesting trip, well organized and enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommended. Big praise to the guides.
Great tour and tour guide (driver was good too)! Really enjoyed this! Just enough time between stops to grab a quick nap too.
It was a wonderful tour led by Trish! Her enthusiasm was contagious. There seemed to be ample time to see the sights in an organized and delightful way!
Great way to experience Stonehenge and Oxford. Our guide, Trish, did a great job of providing history and giving us enough free time to explore the areas.
Absolutely fantastic day with Day Tours London! Our excursion to Stonehenge and Oxford was incredibly well organized from start to finish. The directions for the bus meet-up spot were clear and easy to follow, which made the morning completely stress-free. A huge highlight of the day was our tour guide, Sinead O’Leary—she was outstanding! So knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely entertaining. She created such a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere while keeping everything running smoothly. Her overview of the day and each location was informative without ever feeling overwhelming, and she shared just the right mix of history, stories, and practical tips. At both Stonehenge and Oxford, we felt well-prepared and had a great balance of guided insight and free time to explore on our own. Sinead also gave helpful recommendations on what to see, where to walk, and how to make the most of our time at each stop. This tour exceeded expectations in every way—professional, seamless, and truly memorable. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to experience these iconic locations in a well-paced and enjoyable way!
Excellent experience. Time was very well managed. The three of our tour guides were awesome. You arrive to Stonehenge early enough to avoid big crowds. Oxford is good time to have a feel for the city.
Absolutely spectacular tour! Everything was as described, and our guide and driver were lovely. Would highly recommend this tour -- I wouldn't have wanted any less time at each stop / more things crammed in.
Great experience with a superb tour guide called Phoebe! On time departure and arrival as well. Totally recommend!!
Visiting Stonehenge and Oxford was definitely worth it! The van ride was relaxing and our tour guide, Charlie, was a fantastic source of historical knowledge mixed in with humor and personal experience. It was so interesting to learn about the history of Stonehenge and the various theories about how it originated and evolved over time. Similarly, it was fascinating to learn about the heritage of Oxford and to see all the remarkable buildings that were made possible by alumni. Definitely worth taking the day to trek from London!
We took the Stonehenge and Oxford day trip from London. We started in the early morning in a comfortable tour bus and reached Stonehenge just in time to see the sun peeking out from behind the clouds. It was a glorious experience. After spending a couple of hours at Stonehenge we headed off to Oxford. After a short but comprehensive walking tour lead by our tour guide, the wonderful and knowledgeable Emily we were given a few hours to explore the city and the university by ourselves, after which we headed back to London. Overall it was a very nice experience and a seamless journey. The Oxford trip gave me the inspiration to come back to the city sometime in future with more time in hand so that I can experience its rich history at my pace.
This is one of the most incredible tours I’ve experienced! The level of engagement and dedication the tour guide, Sinead, offers is amazing! Very detailed and fun facts about Stonehenge and Oxford. And the driver was very sweet and caring. Drove us safely from and back. Great team! I will be recommending HIGHLY this tour to my family and friends!
The tour was canceled with less than 24 hours before the event due to lack of sign up by others. Very poor form. If I can not cancel within 24 hours the same rule should apply to the tour group.
We started early but it was worth it because we get to take photos of Stonehenge before it gets crowded. Darren was very nice and gave clear instruction and information of all the places
Lovely day trip in the best hands with guide Ayesha and driver Elijah! The right balance of information and humor coupled with plenty of quiet time to enjoy the countryside. The day started off on time and the drive to Stonehenge was broken up with a quick pit stop at a roadside travel center. We had plenty of time to enjoy Stonehenge at our leisure; visiting the site, perusing the gift store, exploring the exhibits, or getting a bite to eat at the cafe. The drive to Oxford was equally filled with rest time and fun facts… Ayesha is full of fun, interesting facts! Definitely stay with the group for the tour, as there’s plenty of time left afterwards. But don’t miss out on touring one of the many colleges or the Sheldonian Theater on your own! The drive back was uneventful after a busy day, returning us back to London on time! Many compliments to Ayesha for the wonderful information and insight to Elijah for keeping us safe!
Excellent tour with loads of interesting facts given by Ayesha. Also felt very safe while driving with Elijah.
It's a walking tour in Oxford so put on your most comfortable shoes. Our tour guides Bella and the other lady (my apologies as I forgot her name) are very knowledgeable.
We had a wonderful experience on our recent Stonehenge and Oxford trip. Bella was an excellent tour guide, very informative, humorous, and engaging throughout the journey. The tour departed on time and was well organised, making the whole day smooth and enjoyable. We truly had a great experience and would highly recommend this tour.
This tour was superb. It started in a extremely easy spot to get to. Our guides Bella, Aisha, and our driver Craig, were amazing! They kept everyone on time, were friendly, knowledgable and hilarious. The tour of Stonehenge was great, we had the perfect ammount of time to accomplish the epic poses and really take it all in. The tour of Oxford was beautifuly conducted, giving a blend of information and encouragement to discovery. I will say that we would have appreciated more time in Oxford, but we just really liked it there.
We had an incredible time at Stonehenge & Oxford, thanks largely to our wonderful guide, Daisy. She was engaging and full of interesting facts that really brought the history to life. Her enthusiasm was contagious, making the whole trip a joy. Don't hesitate to book this!
Really great trip!! Our group had good time management and we were able to leave on time or even a little early for both stops. Dan was a phenomenal driver and ensured that we got everywhere as efficiently as possible. Gile was a great guide, he was very approachable and funny as well as being very knowledgeable about both Stonehenge and Oxford. Would recommend this day trip to anyone visiting London!
