The tour guide Oliver was very creative and engaging in the helpful information and guidance he provided. Both Bath and Stonehenge offered different and varied experiences. Stonehenge was a place of peace and inner connection. While Bath was a city rich in history and quaint shops and tea houses. A very nice combination of experiences.

Itinerary
Standing proudly on the slopes of the River Avon, beautiful Bath was the first city in England to be a designated UNESCO World Heritage site in its entirety. The city’s stunning honey-coloured Georgian architecture, the gorgeous 15th century Bath Abbey and the romantic Pulteney Bridge (modelled on Florence's Ponte Vecchio) are all sights you’ll want to linger on!
The Royal Crescent is a series of 30 terraced buildings in Bath, England, built out in a sweeping crescent. It is a Grade I listed structure that was designed by architect John Wood, the Younger and erected between 1767 and 1774. It is one of the best examples of Georgian architecture in the UK. Although the numerous interiors have seen significant changes throughout the years, the Georgian stone exterior has remained largely unchanged since its construction. The 500-foot-long crescent features 114 Ionic columns on the first floor and a Palladian-style entablature above. With its views over the parkland opposite, it was the first crescent of terraced dwellings to be built and an example of "rus in urbe." Since it was created over 240 years ago, many noteworthy people have lived or stayed in the Royal Crescent, and some are honoured on unique plaques affixed to the respective buildings.

The city’s stunning honey-coloured Georgian architecture, the gorgeous 15th century Bath Abbey and the romantic Pulteney Bridge (modelled on Florence's Ponte Vecchio) are all sights you’ll want to linger on! Founded in the 7th century, Bath Abbey is a former Benedictine monastery in Bath, Somerset, England. Bath Abbey is one of the most impressive examples of Perpendicular Gothic architecture in the British Isles. The mediaeval abbey church served as a bishop's cathedral at times.
Bath, the gorgeous city of Bath was the first city in England to be designated an UNESCO World Heritage site. Standing on the banks of the picturesque River Avon, explore all the city has to offer, including the gorgeous 15th century Bath Abbey, the spectacular Georgian architecture and, modelled on Florence's Ponte Vecchio, the romantic Pulteney Bridge.
Roman Baths and Pump Rooms, a visit to the Roman Baths is an absolute must when visiting the city that is named after them. This beautiful and well-preserved bathing complex still flows with water from Britain’s only hot spring. Watch the twinkling torch–lighting ceremony as dusk falls (not applicable in summer) and have a taste of Bath’s healing waters in the Pump Room, a stunning neo–classical salon.
Mysterious Stonehenge, we may never get to discover the true meaning of the ancient, awe-inspiring structure of Stonehenge. Perhaps the stone circle was a temple for sun worship, a place for healing, a massive calendar or a sacred burial site? Marvel at the beauty and speculate about how our ancestors managed to transport these mighty stones and erect this amazing structure? Shrouded by mystery and magic, Stonehenge will never fail to impress. Estimated arrival time back in London is around 7pm.

We had a wonderful experience on the Stonehenge and Bath day tour! Everything was well organised, from the pick-up to the drop-off, and the locations were convenient and easy to find. A special mention to our tour guide, Oliver, who was absolutely lovely, patient, friendly and helpful throughout the journey. He shared interesting information and made the tour enjoyable with his pleasant manner. His patience and attentiveness really made a difference to the overall experience. Many thanks as well to our coach captain, Paulina, for her excellent driving and thoughtful arrangements. She always parked at convenient locations that were easy to access and locate, making the journey and transitions between stops smooth and hassle-free. Both Oliver and Paulina did a fantastic job, and their professionalism and friendly attitudes made the day even more enjoyable. We truly appreciate their efforts and would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to visit Stonehenge and Bath! Thank you for making it such a memorable day!
Booked a tour and had oliver and paulina as tour guide and coach driver. they were amazing and fantastic. experience was fun and enjoyable. Time well spent.
We booked this Stonehenge and Bath tour for our family of three at short notice, after another operator cancelled on us while we were already in London. Golden Tours turned a stressful situation into one of the highlights of our trip. Our tour guide was excellent. She gave us genuinely useful tips, including which shops and places to avoid, and at every stop she told us clearly when and where to regroup, so we never felt rushed or worried about missing the coach. Her commentary on the history of Stonehenge and Bath was interesting and well told, and she struck a great balance between talking and giving everyone some peace and quiet on the long drive. The driver was also very good. His driving was safe and smooth, never aggressive or rushed, and not too slow either. The check-in at Victoria was well organised, and the day ran on time from start to finish. Highly recommended if you want to see Stonehenge and Bath in one day without the hassle of planning it yourself.
Unfortunately the day of our tour the weather was not cooperative, no fault of the tour company! Our visit to Stonehenge was very wet, windy and cold so we walked around very quickly to get back on the bus. The town of Bath was fun to walk around. We did not add the tour of the Roman Baths to our trip so we had plenty of time to walk around, stop for hot chocolate and a sweet treat.
We had such a good day with our knowledgeable guide, Jason and our highly skilled driver, Luan. It was the perfect way for us to enjoy some time in Bath as well as marvel at the mystery of Stonehenge.
David and elvio did a great job. David was the tour guide and elvio was the driver. I would highly recommend them to anyone interested is a tour. It is a fast trip
Our half day tour to Stonehenge and Bath was cancelled but we were offered the full day tour instead which added Windsor Castle to the itinerary. This was a very long day and we only had about 90 minutes at each location. Bruce and Noel took us in reverse order, starting at Bath and ending at Windsor which made for the longest drive at the start rather than at the end. Overall we really enjoyed the tour, but we were definitely worn out by the end. They offered a bagged lunch for purchase as we queued up to leave in the morning but we passed. There really wasn’t time to eat at any of the stops. Thankfully we brought snacks which got us through the day. Food and drinks are allowed on the bus, but nothing hot that will smell up the bus.
Very good, charismatic guide and driver
The trip was really very good, thanks to the guide
The experience was good overall, however there are a few points as feedback: about half the guests were Chinese, so the tour was given with English and Chinese explanations. That’s fine, I don’t mind it, but the accent of our guide Amanda made it difficult to understand what she was saying. There was a group of people first in the queue for the departure of the tour, however, the guide went straight to the Chinese people without acknowledging the rest and let the Chinese group in first. Again, I wouldn’t have minded but the order of the queue should have been followed and it would’ve been nice to at least be given an explanation of what was happening, since we thought maybe we were in the wrong queue. Overall, the time spent in each stop felt a little rushed, especially at Bath. Amanda and Lucien were very nice, patient, and funny, I would just consider splitting the group by language since I understood about just 40% of the explanations given, and give more time to explore Bath.
We had a great day trip to Stonehenge and Bath. Our guide David and driver Patrick were friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. David provided good commentary and insights throughout the day, and Patrick ensured smooth, safe driving. Despite on-and-off rain, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Worth it!
It was a great experience. Highly recommend!!
Great tour - everyone should visit Bath and Stonehenge at least once in their lives. The tour made it easy for us to stop by both in the same day. Unfortunately, we lost an hour in Bath due to a closed road, but David did a good job keeping us informed of the situation and Romeo kept us moving. Recommended this tour!
So fun! David was our tour guide and he was very informative, Romeo was a lovely driver!
It was a good tour overall. The guide shared helpful tips during the bus ride, but once we arrived, we were mostly on our own. I wish the guide had accompanied us at Stonehenge and Bath to explain the history and facts in person.
Excellent day tour. Just the perfect amount of time at Stonehenge and Bath. Our tour guide, David, was excellent and very knowledgeable. Our driver, Ashley, was great in getting us around. Definitely the way to go if you wish to visit Stonehenge and Batj.
We had an enjoyable day at both Stonehenge and Bath. The weather held up. The driver Luan was very punctual and professional. Our guide Danxia gave up a good history of the places we visited and very helpful tips on places to go to in Bath. Would recommend.
Very nice experience. The guide Danxia explained everything in a very professional and engaging way, whereas the driver Luan drove us back and forth to London safely. Many thanks for the lovely experience.
A perfect day trip from London! Our driver (Luan) was excellent, and our guide (Danxia) provided very interesting and thorough commentary! The length of time at each location was structured well to give us enough time without feeling rushed.
Great tour Our tour guide, Paul, was exceptional and our driver was excellent
Ales was informative with humour. He made the experience very enjoyable
Guide Kelvin was very detailed in introducing the places we visited and gave us great explanations throughout the trip. The trip was very interesting, enjoyable, and we had a lot of fun. Thank you, Kelvin, for making our trip such a memorable experience!
It was a great tour with our funny, kind and educated guide Kalvin. It was very informative and you’ll learn a lot! The food was great!
Wei and Lucian were great. Would have wanted more time at Windsor Castle, less time at Stonehenge but thats fine.
Thank you David and Patrick for this magic expérience.
Excellent guide and great information!
Loved our day trip with guide Oliver and driver Romeo. Well-paced day to see Stonehenge and the Roman Baths. Bath has much more to offer if you have the time.
A valuable tour, with a very good and experienced guide, Kelvin, and a very good and experienced driver. On our way we were not only informed about Stonehenge and Bath, but also about London and the worth to knows along the road! And, when we were surprised by a strong rainfall, we were all offered a raincape! A valuable and memorable tour, certainly valuing the money!
Tour was Amazing, kelvin our guide was very knowledgeable and informative Kelvin was also a very courteous, funny and made the day more enjoyable
Kelvin as our guide was great. Gave us a lot of amazing insights and advice on the best things to do to enjoy the best of Britain. Very knowledgeable.
We specifically booked and paid for a tour to Stonehenge in Portuguese. However, upon arriving at the departure point, we were informed that the tour was available exclusively in English. In short, a service was sold that simply did not exist that day. To make matters worse, our names were not on the operator's passenger manifest, which caused significant stress and embarrassment during check-in, as we were only permitted to board at the very last minute. Since we were already at the meeting point with our day planned, our only practical option was to join the English tour to avoid losing the entire day. We attempted an amicable resolution with Viator customer service to receive at least partial compensation, but there was no flexibility or goodwill gesture provided. This serves as a warning to future travelers regarding discrepancies between the language advertised on the platform and the actual service delivered on-site.
Nice experience. The price was very reasonable and well worth it. Our guide, Zozo, was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and the driver, Duma, was also excellent.
Amazing experience! Zozo was a great guide, and Duma was a safe and reliable driver. The timing was perfect, and we had plenty of time to explore both Stonehenge and Bath on our own. Highly recommend!
Tour was fantastic. Jason was a great and informative guide. John was great as the driver giving us a great view after leaving Bath. Admission was easy with the option to include admission to both or just one. Tour length was great. Atmosphere was easy and informative. Size of group wasn't too big or too small so couldn't lose your way. Also Jason was good on informing us of the times to be back for the departure of each tour.
Our tour guide Kelvin is amazing. He is so passionate on providing us as much guide andknowledge as possible on the tour, and he is very patient in answering our questions. We really enjoyed the tour.
Amanda was an amazing tour guide. The Bus driver was top notch...probably the most skilled bus driver I have ever seen. The tour was not what we booked. We were told upon arrival that it was now a bi-lingual tour with English and Mandarin. Amanda did well but it felt like she had to share her time and attention. The schedule was not what we booked. We booked a trip where the itinerary was Bath first which would put us at Stonehenge around the time of the Eclipse. We were not told this was changed until we were on the bus. Later we were told Stonehenge closes at 3pm so all schedules were changed. Also, we were not dropped off at the meeting point as shown on the website. We were dropped at a completely different place. Amanda explained this from the beginning. But still, as a tourist from out of the country this can be off-putting. This all should have been updated on the Viator website.
An amazing day trip to Stonehenge and the Roman Baths! Guide Calvin brought incredible energy and rich history to the stops, while the driver kept the long-distance coach ride smooth and safe. Stonehenge felt truly magical, and Bath was gorgeous. Highly recommended for a well-organized adventure!
Wei was an excellent guide and she was well versed with everything around and was a thorough professional. She ensured that our trip was every penny worth. Similarly the driver of the bus Adam was very decent and nice. Wei is a real star of Golden Travels. Her diction of English language and her modulation was perfect. Her funny anecdotes in between ensured that we were all attentive to what she was describing about. Thanks to Wei and Adam again. Great experience. David was an excellent guide, very communicative and clear in the information he gave. Abdul was very friendly and very good behind the wheel. All in all excellent
David and Abdul were absolutely amazing. This was one of the most information-efficient tour which I highly reccommend. You will get a great experience for the money you paid and will broaden your knowledge of prehistoric and Roman UK history.
Peter, our guide, was as excelent as our bus driver, Elvio.
Great tour overall. Calvin the tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. The driver Calvinder took a great scenic route. We arrived to Bath at about 3pm without having any chance to eat lunch and we immediately started the group tour of the Roman Bath house. A suggestion would be to have the tour meet at the Bath house at the end of the time in Bath to give everyone time to eat. The coach was also 15 minutes late to pick up and returned at 8:30pm. But these large group tours are never perfect.
Ales Marius was our guide and he was wonderful! Informative and funny. He was very helpful when we had questions. He is the reason for the 5 stars!
My experience was very nice we had a lot of time to look at and explore the sites. Our guide Ales was also very friendly and funny which made the bus rides feel quite quick.
Amazing tour, worth every penny! Our tour guide went by “Peter Rabbit,” and offered an incredible history of England on the way to Stonehenge. Marius, our driver, was timely and considerate, helping us reach each destination promptly, but without feeling rushed! I highly recommend booking for this tour; it solidified England as a top destination for me!
Kelvin was an excellent guide, funny, informative, and a great storyteller. He painted a picture in my mind of people of the past, and the work and dedication they put in to make Stonehenge happen. He helped me to feel a connection to Stonehenge that I might not have had on another tour. Our driver Adam got us quickly and safely to all of our destinations.
Kalvin is such a fun Tour Guide, full of knowledge & positive energy. He made this full day Tour really enjoyable & truly unforgettable. Lucien, the Bus Driver, did a fantastic job of driving for about 200 km each way smoothly & quickly. Stonehenge was an eye opener, full of mystery & wonder with those solstice stones & surroundings. Bath is a lovely pretty town I’d like to visit again some time soon. Roman Baths are amazing! It’s like a Museum with actual hot springs you can touch & even drink! The audio guide is very good, too. There are many breathtaking sights in Bath & I personally adored The Mad Hatter little cafe/restaurant (see photographs). We left London Victoria Station at 8:30 in the morning & got back at 19:30 so imagine the distance. Amazing, fabulous day well worth time & money!
Kelvin was wonderful and funny, telling us the interesting history of the places we saw, recommending restaurants and stores. Wish we would have had a guided city tour of Bath; otherwise everything was wonderful.
The tour is very well organised and it is an excellent value for money. There is more than enough time to walk around and sightsee both locations and not just run through the places. Kelvin is a wonderful guide with endless energy and a bubbly personality, continuously trying to make everyone comfortable and provide as much info as possible. Lucian, the driver, is also very plesant and punctual. Overall, would be very happy to visit some other sights with Kelvin and Lucian as hosts.
