Speedboat Sightseeing: Embankment Or Westminster Pier -45 Minutes

What a fantastic experience this was. I went with 2 friends and we had a fantastic time. The lady who advised us about which trip to take was very friendly and helpful. The crew on the boat were knowledgeable whilst giving us tour information. Once we got up to speed it was amazing and exhilarating. Best 45 minutes of my life. Definitely something worth doing if you're in London.

This is the third time I've booked one of these. Always fun and my friend loved it. You get the tourist chat and then fun music when you go fast! Our host was very friendly, cracking jokes and everyone had a great time.

I highly recommend this experience - it was fantastic and we all had a great time. Ed did a very enjoyable presentation.

I booked the Thames RIB experience as a birthday surprise for my partner, and it exceeded all expectations! There were 9 of us in total, and every single one of us had an amazing time from start to finish. Nathan was an excellent skipper, delivering plenty of thrills while keeping everything professional and safe. Justin was a brilliant guide, full of interesting facts and great banter that had us all laughing. Everyone in our group loved it, and it's all we talked about afterwards. The combination of sightseeing, speed, and fun made for a truly memorable experience. It was the highlight of our weekend and a birthday we'll never forget. Highly recommend to anyone visiting London or looking for a unique celebration activity!

We had an amazing trip yesterday. It was the highlight of our London trip for me, my partner and our ten year old daughter. Ed and Akira made the trip on the boat really special, we loved Akira’s historical facts and chat and then Ed kicked it up a gear and span us round the Thames at full speed. We felt safe and excited all at the same time. Thanks to Kai on land for fitting us with our life jackets as well. Highly recommend this trip

We were excited to take this tour on our one day in London. Unfortunately my 8 year old daughter got sick with upset stomach and vomiting. I messaged the tour operator and never received a direct reply. I called Viator who was not helpful. Later I received and email from Viator stating that the tour company is asking for proof in order to provide a refund, such as a hospital note or DEATH CERTIFICATE. Well, the latter fortunately did not apply, and I had no intention of taking my daughter to the hospital with a stomach bug, but I also couldn’t put her on a speed boat for the tour. I would’ve been happy with a credit from the Tour company or a credit from Viator, and I said as much. I wouldn’t trust a company with my safety on a speedboat if they have such little empathy, and do not engage in any communication, with a family with a sick kid.

Fabulous experience throughout. Great communications leading up to experience. Warm friendly greeting on arrival. Clear safety briefing. Lifejackets in good condition and checked well once fitted. Skipper George handled the vessel well, providing exhilarating and safe ride. Kanes commentary was just at the right level with a bit of humour and interesting info. I appreciate when we went that it’s was hotter than usual but something extra to cool the waiting area would be good. Thank you Rikk

I went for my birthday. What an amazing experience and quite an adrenaline time. Also the crew Leo, Kai and Heidi made it all worth while. Very knowledgeable of the buildings and sights and very experienced speed driving. Loved every minute of it

Leo and Dennis were our skipper and host. Leo took us on an amazing tour on the Thames - super fast and fun. Dennis (lovely lad) did a fantastic job telling us facts about London. Overall this is a great jaunt and well worth considering when in London!

They are very strict and unhelpful. The directions or where to get the boat aren’t clear. I couldn’t make it on time and lost all the money. Got there 7 minutes late. I can understand the couldn’t wait my family and me but they only told me sorry, you lost your money. No options for me. A waste of money in my case.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip up the river with Thames Rib Experience. George and Kai were fab. Our original trip did not reach the required numbers but we were contacted the day before and offered another time and free upgrade from our 45 minute trip to the 70 minute trip. It was excellent and I would defo book this again.

Leo and Kai were great. Super fun experience for the family, especially during the warmer weather!

The ride was nice and the two members of the crew were Lovely. The amount of time you go fast is quite minimal and you spend most of the time cruising. The welcome and safety briefing at the pier is was quite unpleasant by a very shouty and unprofessional young lady telling us what to. The change of pier was notified at last minute but with enough information to get close to the departure dock.

Recommended ! Cruised to Tower Bridge seeing the sights with great commentary then put the after burners on and sped down to Canary Wharf. Great experience with great crew.

We really enjoyed the Thames RIB Experience. The high speed ride was a lot of fun and the crew of John and Denis was friendly and did a good job of pointing out all the sights and telling us about each one along the way. We’ve been to London many times and seen all the sights but this trip gave us a totally different view of London looking at the whole city from the outside in vs inside out. Highly recommend!

Booked to go on the 'Tower RIB Blast - 20 minute tour' for Tuesday 24th March 2026, whilst down in London. It was really important that I did this as it was one of my dads bucket list items for London, which sadly he didn't get to do. At first when Georgie contacted me and said there were not enough people booked on I was devastated but she worked hard during that 24hrs to pull groups of people together to make an 'Amazing' experience happen (I can't thank you enough Georgie). The actual experience was great, the initial part is very informative about tourist information in London, actually learned a few things that we would like to visit (next time of course) but once you get far enough out the speed ramps up and you get your botox for free by fast wind and water spray but it's 'Fab'we loved it. Our Captain and Skipper - Dennis and George, we're great and really nice, made the experience better and I would highly recommend even thinking of sending the boys on it next time, might go back myself. The best bit, my dad did get to experience it with me (I had some of his ashes with me - not for everyone but ment a lot to me) So a Massive Thanks to Georgia, Dennis and George 👍🌟

Just fantastic. From the managed arrival on the pontoon (London Eye), from a really sweet young lady. To boarding and lively interaction from Jack, who is hysterical and the pilot, Bill. Coasting smoothly along the Thames was really great and THEN… 🎶🎼🎵 Live & Let Die 🎶🎼🎶… OMG… hang on, hang on…. Speeding to 007 music, then Queen…. Later the mission Impossible soundtrack…. Sooo exciting, so exhilarating. We were banking, swerving, looping. The speed was something else. I loved it. So much that I couldn’t help screaming. I wasn’t dying but just enjoying this absolutely thrilling experience. Amazing. Thank you so much. We’re going to rebook.

Great trip, fast, fun and perfect to add into the itinerary for teenagers! Great hosts, enough adrenaline but not terror! Chilly but worth wrapping up and fantastic experience different from the norm!

So fun! We were 2 adults and an 18 year old young man, didn't really know what to expect but it was so much more fun than I thought it would be. Worth mentioning, often I get 'sea sick' on boats, but due to the wind in my face and the speed I was fine. Above all the staff were great and good company. Stupidly, I realised I'd left an item on the boat, the staff made some phone calls and their representative come to the tube station with it - above and beyond. Great customer service.

We did this experience on the 31st August at 13:05. What an amazing experience me and my 8 year old daughter had from start to finish. I went to the Westminster pier which was the wrong location and the ladies over the phone were great with helping direct me to the embankment pier. Due to this we arrived 6mins before the boat was scheduled to leave and they still accommodated us which we were so grateful for. The lady who greeted us and assisted us with our life jackets was so lovely and helpful. I was quite over whelmed when I arrived but her calm energy helped relax me. She also complimented me on my hair which was so nice and was very good with my daughter. She kept telling me not to rush and that I could take my time! THANK YOU!! The crew on the boat were great and very helpful. Me and my daughter was the last to board and there were no seats for us to sit together. They kindly asks the people on board if they could move to allow us to sit together which again I was so grateful for and grateful to the gentlemen who allowed us to be together. The crew were very informative and made the experience so much fun for everyone on board. My 8 year old LOVED IT!!! We will definitely be returning!!! THANK YOU!!

Did a Rib ride around New York a couple of years ago but this tide blew us away, the person in control of the Rib was outstanding the turns he managed were outstanding. Before we got to high speed the commentary about London was first class & the music played during high speed was really good. A nice touch was a young lady's birthday & the music they played was brilliant. Fully recommend you won't be disappointed.

What a fantastic experience. The staff were amazing. The ladies at the kiosk were friendly and helpful. The crew on the boat were informative and made the experience a great time. Would highly recommend and we'll definitely be doing this again! We visited on 31st August at 1.05 and were back just before 2.

This was better than we’d imagined! Once we were under Tower Bridge, throttle was full force and they certainly gave us a ride of our lives!!! Sooooo much fun!!! Didn’t get wet either! Saw so many landmarks and the staff ensured we had an experience on the water!! Would HIGHLY recommend!!! We can’t wait to do again!! Thank you! Our friends visiting had an absolute blast!!! 👏👏👏

It was a lovely day and the river was just rough enough to give us some excitement although more turns would have been fun. The narrative was actually very educational and the music just added to the experience. A great trip for seeing the London skyline from another angle.

What a thrill! This was one of our teenagers’ highlights of our trip. The speedboat gave us the view of London from the River along with the adventure of speeding down the River like we were in a James Bond movie. Highly recommend!!

Overall the experience was good fun and safety was paramount. The young guy on our boat, who was super friendly, was hard to understand whilst talking about the various sights. My friend and I are both Londoner’s born and raised and found it difficult to understand what was being said, so I imagine visitors with limited English would really struggle to understand, coupled with the noise of the craft and the wind. I don’t understand why there is not a clear recorded voice onboard, talking about the sights. That would be so much better for everyone. Also, if the above was in place, you could talk about so many more sights and also put the speaker back on, for the return visit, after passing through Tower Bridge. For example, no mention was made of the Tower of London - a pretty historic landmark!

Great experience, loved every minute, not easy to hear commentary though. The high speed part was a blast, a bit scary at first then got into it!

Matt and Captain Richards showed us a great time. You feel like the coolest kid in school going by those big Uber boats. Your family will have a blast.

We booked the day before, emails received with clear details. Nice waiting room, brand new life jackets and lovely hostess. Boat driver Richard and compair Matt were brilliant. We had a treat of Tower Bridge being fully open when we went underneath and they gave us the opportunity to take a snap shot. The speedy ride was exciting and made us shriek and laugh. We always felt safe and didn't even get that wet !! Great 45 mins to finish our two day trip to London.
