There's only one word to describe my mom and I's experience on this tour: magical. It was my mom's first time traveling abroad, and we were a bit nervous since it was just the two of us. However, we felt very safe, comfortable, and had an amazing time with The English Bus. We chose the DoubleTree by Hilton London - Victoria pickup option, which was a great choice, as we had a great breakfast up until the van arrived. I highly recommend their hot chocolate! Val was our tour guide for the day. Val is incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining! She was truly an amazing guide for this tour. Stongehenge was awe-inspiring. Bath was beautiful -- something from a fairytale. The secret place was definitely a surprise, and we had a great time there! My mom and I really appreciated the mix of time as a group and also time to explore on our own. While in Stongehenge, we fully maximized our time in front of the stones, taking as many selfies and pictures before heading back to the van. In Bath, we chose to go to the museum and enjoyed some time at a local bakery. I won't give away the secret place, but again, we appreciated having some time with just the two of us! The tour was so organized, fun, and one of the highlights of our England vacation. We really loved how small the group was and how comfortable the van was. It was so nice that we booked another tour with The English Bus, which we took the very next day! It's been almost a month since our tour, and my mom and I constantly talk about how much we enjoyed it. We'll definitely take more tours with The English Bus next time we travel to London.

Itinerary
Visit one of the world's most famous and celebrated prehistoric sites. The 5000 year old Stonehenge. A prehistoric marvel, your tour guide will provide a detailed historic introduction to the site. Discuss archaeological findings, theories and the mystery of this magical stone circle. You'll have plenty of time to soak in the atmosphere, take photographs and visit the Stoenhenge visitor centre, complete with exhibition, archaeological display and cafe serving a good range of hot and cold food.
We spend 2 - 2.5 hours on the ground here with an optional walking tour with your tour guide available to those who choose to join. As well as our time on the ground - we also provide a panoramic driving tour around some of Bath's very finest and most beautiful streets. Bath is the most beautiful small city in England. With history dating back to the Celts 3000 years ago, settled by the Romans 2000 years ago, and shaped into the architectural wonder it is today by the Georgians 250 years ago.
Admire Bath's beautiful 15th century Abbey, standing on the site of a medieval church that saw the coronation of the very first King of England. King Edgar - crowned in 973AD.
Admire Bath's stunning Pulteney Bridge. One of a handful of bridges around the world with working buildings on top of the bridge. This was a rejected design for the famous Ponte Vecchio in Florence, Italy
On our panoramic driving tour of Bath, see Bath's finest street - the incredibly grand, and enormous semi circular Royal Crescent. An icon of opulent Georgian Britain and home to houses worth many millions of pounds. We will have an on the ground photo opportunity here and your guide will accompany on the ground to give you the historical and cultural background to this incredible street and green surrounds.

Cara W was absolutely the best guide and driver and a history buff. Delightful British Bath native to guide us through Stonehenge, Bath and the secret place. Such a worthy trip! Excellent in all aspects.
My husband and I truly enjoyed the private tour to Stonehenge, Bath, and the Secret Place. Nohl made sure the five of us had a great time. He even created a song about us and our dear friend “Smokey Grey”. I have never laughed so hard on a tour. Nohl was so knowledgeable, entertaining and witty. He made the tour complete and set the bar high for any tours in the future. The small private tour group allowed more time at all the locations and it was a much better experience than the one I did this past May in which I was on a big bus.
Tony the driver was knowledgeable and very helpful. The seats are a bit narrow so not like a big bus. We loved Bath and the museum. The whole city deserves more time. The secret place was of no interest to our whole bus. We expected something different from the reviews. They imply that there are multiple choices and your guide selects the best based on his riders. If there was more than one choice , we were never asked for our preferences. Our entire bus went into the bar , rather than explore.
What a wonderful and magical trip! Our guide Val made all the difference! She was a wealth of knowledge and could be a comedian - we were wowed and laughed all day!
Val is a rock star! A delightful, cheeky history buff whose genuine interest shows in her fascination with prehistoric discovery, modern legend, and historical record. She's overflowing with delightful tidbits. She ties it all together to show you how disparate world societies really are linked together. Plus, she's hilarious. If you're lucky enough to have her as your guide, then you're in for a GREAT day! Thank you so much, Val!
We had a fantastic day with The English Bus! Jon was an excellent guide — incredibly knowledgeable, enthusiastic and full of great stories that kept us entertained throughout the day. It’s a long tour, but the time flew by. Stonehenge and Bath were wonderful, but we especially loved the “secret place” at the end of the tour. I won’t spoil the surprise, but Jon made that part of the day feel particularly special. A really memorable experience and a great way to see so much outside London in one day. Highly recommend and a big thank you to Jon!
Alex was the best tour guide. He went out of his way to make the excursion exceptional.
This was an excellent tour! Alex was great! It is a full day, but it was informative, informational and entertaining. My personal needs request was met, and I am so grateful! Thankyou! The special place was such a beautiful bonus! It was in my wish list.
A small group and a good guide is a great way to see Stonehenge and Bath. The secret place blew us away, but if I said more it wouldn’t be a secret. Alex was friendly, informative, and helpful. We appreciated the drive by of Woodhenge and commentary on other sites we passed. The only downside of a tour like this is the conflict between wanting to spend more time in each place and what can realistically fit in a day trip. Kudos to @theenglishbus for convenient pickup and willingness to drop off each group near their hotels when returning to London.
I had so much fun on this tour! Our guide, Tony, made a bus full of strangers feel like family for the day. I've been on many bus tours over the years, and the camaraderie on this tour was unmatched. Tony provided clear directions, fun facts, and plenty of laughs. I enjoyed the ride through the English countryside on their comfortable bus. I appreciated the single seats for us solo travelers. I hope to return to England in the future and do another tour with The English Bus!
Best small group tour. Loved our guide, Cara. She was fun, knowledgeable, and made the outing a perfect day. Touring in a small van versus a big coach is absolutely the best way to go. Not being a fan of large tour groups this was perfect. Comfortable and clean . Best guide made for a phenomenal experience. Plus we went to a secret place which was one of the highlights of our trip. Use The English Bus for your next tour, you will find it to be quite enjoyable.👍🥰
This was a great excursion! Cara was our guide. She was so personable and fun! So much knowledge about all of the history everywhere we went. The surprise stop was awesome. The group is small and the sound system great you could hear everything well as we traveled and she talked. Would definitely do this again!
Awesome day! Cara was a fantastic guide, full of very useful and interesting info, with fantastic humor injected also. The bus was excellent and comfortable, and each of the stops were tim d perfectly, and a very fittingly interesting “secret place.” Great job, Cara!
This was a wonderful and informative tour! Our guide Jon was charming, cheerful, funny and quite knowledgeable! Seeing Stonehenge was the experience I had hoped for! Bath was just beautiful and the secret place was delightful! I would definitely book with them again!
we would have preferred seeing Stongehenge only, no interest in the Roman baths. Our guide did an excellent job.
This trip was simply amazing! We were lucky enough to get Jon as our guide. Jon is an actual historian! He had stories that made everything we got to see come to life and he clearly loves his job. He was a font of knowledge, easy going and understanding with our group of travelers, and genuinely kind. He really made Stonehenge and Bath so much more than we expected. Seeing the sites in a small van was perfect. We got to drive down narrow country roads and see places and things that larger buses simply cannot navigate. Pick up and drop off was smooth. The van was very comfortable, offers USB charging ports, and large windows (even the ceiling) so we could all see everything. The English Bus is a small company and it shows in the way they treat their customers. This was the second tour we took with this company. Both were spectacular.

Had a great day. This was my second time to Stonehenge— the first time with a big group tour. I enjoyed the smaller group size of this tour much more. Bath is beautiful and the secret place was a fantastic surprise. Alex was an awesome guide with a friendly and approachable attitude. Really tried to make your visits wonderful and memorable—- succeeded.
Absolutely wonderful! My daughter (17) and I took this tour, it was more than I wanted to spend but it was soooo worth it! Our driver and guide was Val -- she was so articulate, so engaged, so interesting and she has the best subtle sense of humor! She shared the most interesting stories, antedotes and details related to England, Stonehenge, Bath. She really connected our current humanity to the past, long ago, and today, which gave the tour a relateable and more personal experience. At the end of the day, Val also took us the scenic route back to London - she asked the group if it was something we wanted and we all said YES...it so was so beautiful, so relaxing, the entire day just so full of depth, a wealth of knowledge bestowed upon us. I highly recommend!
Tour was great. Our guide Tony was informed and awesome. Tour does not include entrance fee to Stonehenge or the Roman baths. Be prepared to pay those fees.
Val was an excellent guide with an in depth knowledge of the history of Stonehenge and Bath. She added immense value to this tour with her humor and expertise. It was a very full day - be prepared to spend 12+ hours touring!
We had a wonderful time on our tour. Our tour guide and driver, Val, was extremely informative and knowledgeable during our tour. Val was also very accommodating to everyone and addressed everyone's concerns. We felt this tour was very worthwhile as we had plenty of places to visit and sufficient time to see everything we wanted. The group size was also comfortable and not crowded. All in all we would highly recommend this tour and wouldn't hesitate to book any other tourings provided by Val and her tour company.
Know that people can no longer go right up to the stones. One can clearly see them from a short distance, but a photo leaning against them is no longer possible b
My wife and I did the Stonehenge, Bath and Secret Place tour with Nolh during the London heat wave and it truly was a fantastic experience. Nolh went out of his way to make sure that the van was cool and comfortable, He also made total strangers feel comfortable by asking everyone to share a bit about themselves ... and his infectious wit and humor made the long drives of the day easy and enjoyable. He is definitely a gifted "people person." His knowledge of the sites and their history also was impressive. Stonehenge and Bath were both terrific and well-worth the visit. And the Secret Place was an unexpected, but really fun, experience. This tour was a highlight of our time in London and we highly recommend it.
The family and I came over from the US with a desire to see Stonehenge up close and were so glad we picked this tour group. The small fleet vibe gave the trip a personal touch that was right up our alley. Lucy was a legend and superbly knowledgeable of the Stones histories and MANY other subjects about Great Britain. We went down some hilariously entertaining rabbit holes and learned a ton. It's not a short drive so she paced herself well; quiet downtime with blocks of stories. She was clear in instructions and made sure we had what we needed. Her secret spot was truly a treat. The routes back even had some more surprises. 10/10. Would ride again. Thanks, Lucy! You're a gem and a half. Sincerely, Kris Kringle
The day was fun, easy, and well organized. Jon, our guide and driver, was fantastic. He shared a great combination of history and modern everyday trivia. We had the option of staying together as a group much of the time or going out on our own. The secret place was a nice end to the day and well worth it. The bus was comfortable and cool despite the warmer July temperatures.
My friends and I booked the Small Group Stonehenge, Bath and a Secret Place tour with Lucy as our guide. Although some of us had already been to London, this was our first time to see Stonehenge. It was my first time in Europe. Lucy was not only funny and entertaining but her background made her an amazing tour guide with all the knowledge and facts she had to share. The size of the group was perfect and we had plenty of time to explore each stop along the way. Without giving anything away, I was completely blown away by the secret place which Lucy chose based on her observations of the tour group and what she thought we would enjoy. I highly recommend taking a tour with The English Bus and especially with Lucy. Thanks for such a fabulous day and intro to England!
Our driver and guide on The English Bus was Cara. She was absolutely fantastic. We felt safe and comfortable. Cara was very friendly and knowledgeable. We purchased the Stonehenge, Bath, and a secret place tour. It was a fun 11.5 hour day that felt like much less time. Stonehenge was amazing. Bath is a beautiful city. The Roman Bath museum was very interesting. Just an fyi, enrty tickets to enter each of these 2 World Heritage UNESCO sites are separate from the tour price. But well worth it. Cara said she was originally from Bath and offered a walking tour. Along with many suggestions on what to see and where to eat while visiting. She allowed a good amount of time for individuals to explore on their own. She also took a scenic route to the secret 3rd destination. So we got to see even more than we thought would. I highly recommend The English Bus tours. Pick up and drop off points for the tour were very convenient. The pacing was not too rushed. We felt that we had enough time in each place that we visited. The tour is well thought out and timed for such a long day. It was truly enjoyable. My family and I did the Stonehenge, Bath and Secret Place tour with Nolh and it truly was a fantastic experience. We did three day tours (two with another company) during our trip and this was hands down our most favorite of the three. The van was comfortable, Nolh created a community by taking the time to get to learn a little bit about each person which made the day more enjoyable. He combined humor and wit to his commentary that was much appreciated. This was without a doubt one of our favorite activities of our trip.
Alex is very knowledgeable about all things with London and all the places we visited. He was very interactive and also wanted to know our knowledge of British history during the ride. I really enjoyed his sense of humor. Alex is an excellent driver and was very attentive to our needs and comfort. I highly recommend The English Bus Tour!
Meeting place & time were well defined. Two busses showed up for two different tours. Both operators were well organized, knew exactly who was on which tour, and provided the standard safety briefing. Our operator was Val. She has in-depth knowledge of the sites we went to and her presentation style is enthusiastic. She mentioned one of her interests was history and it showed during her presentations. Not only does she know the facts, but she also has knowledge of the more recent discoveries, studies, and the impacts. Val gave clear cut instructions at each site as to how to access it, the return time and location. Driving to/from the sites was uneventful and she professionally navigated the London traffic with ease. Val is truly a guide and its up to you to discover beyond that. She did offer a short walking tour in Bath. We went to Stone Henge, Bath, and a "Secret Place". Be aware this is an all day excursion. Trying to fit Windsor into this tour in a single day is too much.
This tour was so much fun! The drive was not too long—our guide was not overbearing and answered questions you were thinking about so you didn’t even have to ask. The time spent at the locations was well balanced- I do lots of tours, and this was by far one of my favorites. I would rebook this tour if I ever came back to England!
We traveled with guide Nolh and had a wonderful full day. Nohl way funny and knowledgeable and went out of his way to be accommodating. The back of the bus was a bit stuffy in the warm weather but our day was otherwise perfect.
Our guide Jon was EXCELLENT. He made the tour so worth the trip with his knowledge and friendly approach to the customers. The locations were great to visit and we had enough time to explore as needed and the SECRET PLACE was a wonder !! Thank you
We are incredibly grateful to have been on The English bus tour with Lucy. She was amazingly knowledgeable, personable, funny and shared the best stories on our way out of London (and back). The itinerary was flawless, fun and executed to perfection. The secret place was the cherry on top to the best day. We were in the London area for over a week. This tour with Lucy was by far our favorite!!!! Small group is the way to go to get the best day trip experience!!!
Great opportunity to see Stonehenge, Bath and a secret place! Right size group, and Noeh brought us together easily! Made the day very enjoyable.
Great sites visited with reasonable time at each to build a memorable experience, The coach was comfortable and our guide, Nick was very knowledgeable and entertaining with his stories, humour and easy interaction with the group. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on this tour. For the price, we would have expected entrance to Stonehenge to be included. Nevertheless, highly rate this tour.
Absolutely amazing tour and experience. The operator provided great communication before the tour- where to meet, our driver contact information, what to expect. The driver/tour guide, Tony, went above and beyond. Tony had amazing and informative commentary through the day. He even offered a short walking tour in Bath. The bus was very comfortable and well equipped. Tony provided water, had spare umbrellas for us to use. Stonehenge and Bath were amazing and a beautiful experience. Highly recommend this tour and tour operator - English Bus Tours.
We really enjoyed the bus tour. The bus was clean, nice. Our guide Alex was very knowledgeable. It's a long day, but quite interesting and informative.
Our guide, Alex, was great. He was very knowledgeable and easy to understand. The tour overall was great and filled with interesting sites. The English Bus made it easy to book and find the pickup location. The secret place was awesome.
My husband and I wanted a day trip out of London and this was perfect. It's a smaller company with smaller buses but that allows it to go to :The Secret Place", which was one of the highlights, honestly. Our guide was Alex who was funny, kind and very knowledgeable about the sights. The only thing I thought was odd was that tickets to see Stonehenge had not already been purchased for us already, but I'm sure there's a reason for that (people who cancel last minute and so forth.) I highly recommend this company. Like I said, it's a smaller bus (12 people, I think). In Bath, there were buses that were HUGE. They could not have taken all the small country roads and seen all the quant little villages with thatch roofs on those one lane country roads. This was 9 hours of history and things you will not see with other companies!
A friend and I booked this day trip to have a get away outside of the city and see some additional sights during our stay in London and were so pleased with our choice. We had a wonderful time! Cara was our guide and she was incredibly personable, knowledgeable and clearly loves her job. Not only did she shepherd us through Stone Henge, Bath and the Secret stop, she provided fun and insightful tidbits as we navigated out of and back into London to maximize what we got out of the entire journey. The trip also allowed us to see the beautiful English countryside which was wonderful after several days in the city. Highly recommend this day trip and team! Also- late April was a beautiful time for this trip- everything very green and lots of flowers blooming! We got lucky on a perfectly sunny day and the crowds were not huge.
What an amazing tour! The weather was beautiful, our tour guide Cara was incredible, and the sights were well worth the drive! Cara shared so much information about all the stops, and really took care of all of us on the tour… and the “secret place” was fantastic too! Take this tour, you won’t regret it!
We had a great day with our tour guide, Cara, from "The English Bus." She was energic and very informative. I would definitely book with Cara, again!
Absolutely worth every penny and more! Val was our tour guide but the title doesn't give her credit. Her knowledge and explanation of English history, Stonehenge, architecture, etc. was amazing. We learned a LOT and had a great time. Highly recommend!
This was a wonderful trip. Stonehenge was beyond my expectations. This was hands down the best bus tour I’ve ever been on. Unlike big buses, the small coach was more comfortable. It was expertly driven down country lanes, giving a real feel for the English countryside. Chris, our tour guide (and the company owner) was informative, funny and warm. We had so much fun that we cancelled our trip to Dover and Canterbury with another company and rebooked with The English Bus.
My family and I had a wonderful time on this day trip from London. Val expertly drove us to Stonehenge, Bath, and a secret place, and taught us a lot about British history in a humorous way. It was great to see some of the English countryside, with rolling hills, stone walls and sheep. The group size was perfect, and the bus was very comfortable. I highly recommend this tour and hope to come back!
This was the best tour I have ever taken. The two guides were knowledgeable and fun to boot. They made the trip the best ever. I really loved the commentary and additional hints on what to do.
