This was the second trip my mom and I took with The English Bus, and we absolutely loved it! Jon was our tour guide, and he was so funny and entertaining throughout the trip. One of my favorite moments in the van was when he played a game of "is this Shakespeare or is this from the bible?" I appreciate how small these tour groups are. The van is comfortable, and we were each given a water bottle. Passengers were able to request stops for bathroom breaks if needed. The Cotswolds were so beautiful -- I can't wait to go back! We visited two different villages, and they each had their unique charms. Because we were in the small van, we took the back roads where we could see sheep, beautiful buildings, and gorgeous countryside. Stratford was small but very cute. We had a change to enjoy some gelato while looking at Shakespeare's birth place. The architecture at Oxford was stunning! My mom and I really appreciated the extended time we had to explore the university. Overall, the trip was one of the highlights of our England vacation. It's been almost a month since we went on this tour, and my mom and I talk about how much we enjoyed it almost every day. I 10000% recommend The English Bus! I hope you add more tours in the future, since we plan to take them all!

My husband and I had a wonderful time on the tour! Our tour guide Nolh was very knowledgeable and played fantastic music on the bus! It was a very informative and enjoyable experience, and I would recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in visiting Stratford, Oxford and the Cotswolds.
Had a wonderful day with Nolh, our excellent guide. Great bus and very well organised.
The tour was organised. Tour guide was understanding and humorous. He knew the balance between talking non stop and giving relevant info along with anecdotes.
Took the Cotswolds Villages, Stratford and Oxford tour with Val last week. Can't recommend this trip highly enough. Val is an expert on the sights we visited and a lot of fun too! She provided so much information and passed it along to us in an entertaining fashion every step of the way. The day was fast paced but flew by and we didn't want it to end. Val was professional, highly knowledgeable and just fun to hang out with! Good driver too! Book it if you get the chance!
Lucy our Guide, was very friendly and knowledgeable. The tour was fun and informative. Had plenty of time to stroll on our own.
This was the most informative, friendly, knowledgeable and comprehensive tour I have ever experienced in my 20 plus years of worldwide travel. The tour was conducted in a small but exceedingly comfortable bus. The tour was very intimate in size and handled by Lucy Crane who was impressively knowledgeable, friendly, compassionate , informative and highly intelligent. This is a MUST Take TOUR!
Th all-day trip was great, but our guide Cara Withers was even better! She was super upbeat, sensitive to the groups needs, and very knowledgeable. I would seek her out as guide again, for sure.
It was SO far beyond my expectations! Really!!! It is TOTALLY worth the money! Super knowledgeable tour guide too - knew all the dates and facts and answers, but was just really good at speaking and made it so engaging with her stories and her clear love of her job! She was excited, smart, funny, and so kind! The BEST tour ever!!!
Stratford, Oxford, and the Cotswolds -- a lovely experience. The scenery is lovely, the history of each area is interesting, and the towns are beautiful.
This was an absolutely wonderful Tour! Our Guide Alex picked us up at a designated spot and drove us on a lovely sight-seeing tour regaling us with history and stories of the listed places. My husband and I would highly recommend it!
What a wonderful tour! We learned so much at every stop! Nolh was FANTASTIC!! He made our trip fun and the day flew by! I highly recommend this tour and if you can get Nolh as your guide… that’s a BIG bonus!!
What a fantastic trip to the Cotswolds! Lucy was absolutely amazing in her efforts to make sure we were comfortable and ensured the trip catered for us considering our needs and interests. She went above and beyond and is such an asset to your organisation. In addition to Lucy’s great customer service, incredible knowledge of English history and the region, the towns we visited were simply impressive. Thank you!
Loved the smaller bus. It was a much more intimate experience. Lucy was a fabulous tour guide. She is warm and engaging with so much information.
Our tour with Nolh was amazing! He was incredibly knowledgeable, fun, and hilarious! Our whole family loved him!
On our first ever visit to London, we took one day to do a small group tour to the Cotswolds and were so glad we did! A full day, easy connections, a wonderful guide and iconic places made this an outstanding value and highlight of our trip. Jon was an excellent driver and guide, and shared so many fun stories about the area, historic events, and daily life. We loved that it was a small group and he was able to drive some country lanes that would have been unaccessible to the large coaches. We also had time on our own in each stop, to walk, eat or shop as we chose. The bus was new and very comfortable, with roomy seats and leg space. We highly recommend The English Bus tours!
This tour was our favorite activity while we were in London! Nolh was the best guide! He was charming, knowledgeable, and hilarious- he really made the site come alive and fostered such a sense of family within our group. The coach was comfortable and each stop exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend if you want a smaller group experience to see the English countryside. Thanks Nolh!
This was one of the best tours we embarked upon. The guide was excellent and very friendly. The ride accommodations were very comfortable
Fantastic guide, beautiful scenery, and breathtaking stops. You get to see Stratford-upon-Avon, where Shakespeare lived, two stops in the Cotswolds, and Oxford. Of course, you could spend a whole day in any ONE of these amazing places, but getting to see all in one day gave us a chance to efficiently use time and not worry about the driving. Highly recommend.
I highly recommend this tour and the English Bus Company. I’ve been on numerous tours throughout Europe and this tour was excellent! Our tour guide Tony, was so informative, polite, and accommodating, and he deserves a gold star.
Fantastic experience in all the locations on this tour. This was our second tour with "The English Bus" and we were not disappointed. The Bus was very comfortable and our guide, Cara was very knowledgeable and personable which made the experience very enjoyable and worthwhile. We higly recomend this small group tour.
Jon was an awesome guide with vast knowledge of the areas, a wonderful sense of humor and made it a memorable experience.
Cara is absolutely amazing. Fabulous tour hitting 3 very different experience. Cara kept us entertained and well informed for all of it and then some, anding in lots of insights and fun along the way.
Great trip! Cara was super fun and very knowledgeable. Learned a ton and really enjoyed all the beautiful sites.
We had the best of times with Lucy. She’s super nice, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Going on a small group tour means the mini bus / van can get through those narrow Cotswolds roads you’d otherwise never see. While most operators offer only a drive by experience, we made a few stops and spent a lot of time walking around and snapping tons of pics. The tour ran on time and we had plenty of time at each place. There are two meeting points available, so you can choose the more convenient option, and we were dropped off at a more convenient location for us. Really nice of her! We can’t recommend this operator enough. We love you, Lucy!
Lucy was fantastic! She was fun, informative, helpful, friendly…it was a great day and comfortable tour bus. We will be back!
Of all of the events we have done with Viator, this was by far our favorite. We hope that the English Bus Company is one of Viator’s priority vendors. Lucy, our guide was outstanding - she reached out the evening before the trip to the Cotswalds to be certain we had all details needed for the next day. She arrived exactly on time at the right place and there was no drama meeting the transport. She had a great personality, was extremely knowledgeable and was very friendly - it felt like we had known her for a long time. The allotted free time was perfect, there was plenty of time for shopping, independent site-seeing and dining. She was willing to stop on the way for anyone needing a facility. When we decided to come to London, we wanted to make this trip as one of our highlights and it was everything we wanted and more. Thanks Lucy, Viator and the English Bus Company for a great experience.
Cara was amazing, very nice and informative. Loved the places we went to, specially the Cotswolds, and every stop was timed perfectly. Definitely would recommend this tour to other people.
Stratford-upon-Avon and Oxford were absolutely beautiful and well worth visiting. However, the Cotswolds portion of the tour felt a bit rushed. Bibury, in particular, is somewhere you really want time to slow down and soak in, but with less than 40 minutes—and frequent reminders to hurry—it’s hard to fully enjoy it. Covering three locations in one day inevitably creates a rushed experience, so if you’re after a more relaxed pace, I’d recommend choosing a tour with fewer stops.
Cara was amazing tour guide loved this small group mini bus tour will go again with more family members next trip to London
Compact day in a very comfortable mini-bus with a knowledgable and fun tour guide Lucy. Highly recommend !
It was wonderful and calm day trip from London that included scenic and scholastic sightseeing. Lucy and Alex were great tour guides with their kindness and knowledge.
This was an amazing trip. We can’t be happier either Tony, our fabulous tour guide, he not only knowledgeable but a kind soul. Kudos to him.
A comprehensive tour of The Cotswold village and Oxford University. Tony was a great tour guide and driver.
We went on the tour to Stratford on Avon, The Cotswolds, and Oxford yesterday and are so glad we did. Lucy and Alex were so knowledgeable and personable, filling us in on history we would not have learned on our own. It was a great day from London. .
Book this sightseeing trip! It was lovely and we saw so much in one day and it wasn’t too tiring. Our tour guides were fabulous!!!
Wonderful tour !!! Our tour guide Paul was amazing and very knowledgeable! He kept us entertained the whole time. I definitely recommend this tour
This was a great tour of Shakespeare's birthplace, the Cotswalds and Oxford. Lucy was a great tour guide, knowledgeable about all of the areas visited and able to provide a great deal of historical context. Great tour from a personable guide!
Wonderful tour! Lucy was an amazing tour guide. Pick up was as described and on time. There was just us- a family of 3, and 1 other couple on this tour, which was really nice. Bus ride was comfortable. We drove out to Stratford upon Avon first. We had just enough time to visit Shakespears birthplace, and find a restroom. The main street was really cute. Then we were off to the Cotswolds. we drove through several villages and stopped in Stow-on-the-wold first, had a nice lunch at Lucy's tea room. We had a few more minutes to walk around then back on the bus. We drove through some more villages, all with great commentary and history from our tour guide Lucy. We stopped at Birbury, and saw the famous row of cottages and buitful scenery. Even though it was winter, the grass was SO green and scenery still beautiful. After this we headed to Oxford. Lucy did a walking tour- about 30-40 mins, through the university and part of the town, and then we had another 1.5 hours to explore, plenty of time for a sit down dinner. We actually left the tour to go on our own adventure at this point, but the rest of the tour got back on the bus at around 1830 and headed back to London.
Excellent trip Special shout out to Lucy for taking care of my parents. You have been an excellent guide Very much recommended
Val, our guide, was amazing! Extremely knowledgeable and personable, made the day fly by. Beautiful scenery.
They were good. Guide knowledgeable, humorous and attentive to the group
The English Bus and Tony were absolutely wonderful. Tony is a superb guide and travel mate. My only regret is not having more time in Stratford and getting to Oxford when it was getting dark. Thank you for a lovely day.
Our tour guide, Jon, did an incredible job on our tour. When I mentioned that I was a fan of J.R.R. Tolkien, he took the time to mark several locations on the Oxford map to pay special attention to when we visited. This allowed my wife and I to more easily navigate and see some incredible sights. It meant so much to me as we only had a short amount of time to see multiple sights in the area. We were also able to have a beer at the oldest pub in England and see quaint Cotswold villages. I would highly recommend this tour!
Lucy gave a fun and informative dialogue as she drove expertly. It was great to see 3 major attractions in 1 tour. We are very happy with this tour and company and highly recommend them.
This is a really awesome tour, my friend and I highly recommend it! The pacing felt really great, we had plenty of time at each of our stops and didn’t feel rushed at all which we thought was awesome. My favourite part was definitely Oxford and the walking tour that our guides Nolh and Alex gave (also huge shout out to both of them, their commentary and stories throughout the trip were very entertaining and informative). The smaller group size was perfect for this trip and made the whole thing feel a lot more intimate. 10/10 would go again, would give 6 stars if we could.
We had a wonderful tour day with Cara from the English Bus, who was our tour guide and driver extraordinaire. Cara was an amazing tour guide. Thorough, informative, friendly, and funny. Her love of history was contagious! She kept the tour atmosphere light and engaging. We had a good amount of time in each location and didn't feel rushed. While in London, we completed 3 tours with different tour companies, and this was by far the best and most comfortable. Cara even provided us with bottled water and a sweet treat! Would highly recommend!
