I was a little disappointed with the overall experience. I mistakenly thought The Larch restaurant and Sky Garden were in the same building, so there was some confusion about what to expect. It was also hard to find . Unfortunately, I didn’t feel the food at The Larch was worth the price. The atmosphere felt more like a casual pizza joint than the dining experience I was expecting. As for Sky Garden, I pictured just a beautiful greenhouse-style space filled with plants and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking London. I wasn’t expecting such a lively atmosphere with a full bar and DJ. While the views of the city were nice, the overall vibe wasn’t quite what I had imagined. It may be enjoyable for those looking for more of a bar or nightlife experience, but it wasn’t what I was hoping for.

Highly recommend we had the best food at dinner and the VIEW of the sky garden was amazing something we remember forever!
Great experience, wonderful view….. ……….. Family loved it…………………………………………………………. 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕…….,,,
The food at Larch was very good and filling. While the service was slow, overall we liked it. The second half was really a highly situated bar with great views that were challenging to access because of the crowd. We didn't go to the top floor as it was a travel day and we felt to tired to climb the formidable and lengthy staircase, which was also crowded with people trying to take pictures. Also, don't expect anyone to guide you or check in on you. Not misrepresented in the add copy but less than we expected.
Be warned: the Larch restaurant is NOT inside Sky Garden. It’s a wonky little place on the ground floor with a dazzling view of a concrete corridor. This was not apparent to us via the description of the booking. You’re much better off choosing a nearby restaurant for dinner and buying a Sky Garden ticket separately, or booking a table within the restaurant that’s actually in Sky Garden. We ended up missing the sunset because we were stuck downstairs eating the worst meal of the trip.
Never go there in dinner full of crowd in restaurant are of deck no view at night totaly waste of money and time and at larch huge line for dinner even after givin Time slot.
It's an amazing view from the Sky Garden well worth the money to get that great view. The food was lovely and got a free desert.
The Sky Garden is awesome everyone should go. I loved looking out on every side. I enjoyed a beer and watched the sunset. I did not have a good time at the restaurant.
The garden is spectacular, with unmatched views of the city. Dinner was delicious I would definitely go again!.
Very disappointed! We thought we got a dinner reservation at sky garden instead We got the Larch a restraunt next to sky garden at the bottom floor. So EXSPENSIVE to charge for that and not even be at the sky garden. Rip off. We also requested to change our reservation from 4 people to 2 and TripAdvisor declined.
The Larch restaurant was marginally ok. The fixed menu was not inspiring. The “garden “ was basically non existent. A bunch of plants in big pots. It’s really only a big bar. And there was an event scheduled so access was limited Would definitely not recommend this experience.
The food was good the service was excellent I did not realize based on the ad that the restaurant was not in the sky garden.
Lovely meal and the Sky Gardens was fabulous. Amazing views, live music, great atmosphere. Not much greenery but the views keep your attention.
Not worth the money not worth the experience !! Very disappointed ! The photos and advertisement are not what you see and the food on the package is not what is served. There was no aircon on the ground floor and it was a sauna! The plants are not taken care off ….
Amazing experience everyone was so friendly and helpful food was amazing and I highly recommend to do this
We visited Sky Garden for an à la carte dinner on 1 August. I really dislike leaving negative reviews, particularly as there were things I genuinely liked, but unfortunately the service left a lasting impression for the wrong reasons. The setting itself is beautiful. The greenery, huge windows and views across London make it a lovely place to visit, and I imagine it is even more impressive at night. I would actually like to return one evening for that reason. The atmosphere outside the restaurant was more mixed. It was extremely busy around the bar and seating areas, with people constantly moving around those trying to sit and have a drink. The choice of music also felt slightly out of keeping with the surroundings, although obviously that is personal preference. Unfortunately, the drinks were disappointing. We weren't given a cocktail menu at the bar, and the cocktails we received were genuinely poor. Given the prices, I would expect consistently well-made cocktails from appropriately trained bar staff. The restaurant itself was where the experience really fell down. The food was OK – I wouldn't call it bad, but equally I couldn't call it particularly good. It didn't feel worth the price based on the food alone, although I appreciate you are partly paying for the location and views. There was also a small fly repeatedly bothering guests and our food during the meal. Perhaps the amount of plant life makes this more difficult to avoid, but it isn't something I would expect while dining in a restaurant of this level. My biggest disappointment, however, was the service. At one point I was specifically asked whether I was enjoying my food. I answered honestly: “No.” Rather surprisingly, the response was essentially a smile, an acknowledgement and then carrying on with the service. Nobody asked what was wrong, whether anything could be improved or whether there was anything they could do. This happened with both the starter and the main. That became particularly significant at the end of the meal. I chose not to pay the discretionary service charge because, quite simply, I did not feel the service warranted it. Only after this was communicated to a senior member of staff did there suddenly appear to be considerable interest in why I had been unhappy. Unfortunately, the manner in which I was repeatedly questioned felt confrontational rather than concerned. To be clear, I have absolutely no issue with direct questions – asking why a customer was unhappy or chose not to pay the service charge is entirely reasonable. The problem was the delivery. There was a level of passive-aggressiveness in the tone and body language that completely changed what could have been a perfectly reasonable conversation. It felt less like, “We genuinely want to understand what went wrong,” and considerably more like, “Why haven't you paid our service charge?” Nobody was aggressive, but there is a sizeable space between aggression and good hospitality, and unfortunately this interaction landed firmly in it. That is a very important difference. I actually tried to de-escalate the situation by asking for an email address or another way of providing my feedback privately. I did this deliberately because I didn't think it was appropriate to have that conversation in front of other diners or embarrass members of staff. I didn't receive an answer to this and was instead left with what felt like an angry response. Ironically, I felt I was showing the discretion and sensitivity in that moment that I would have expected to receive as the customer. There was a perfectly reasonable opportunity earlier in the evening to ask for feedback: when I was asked whether I was enjoying my meal and explicitly said “No”. A simple, “I'm sorry to hear that – can I ask what isn't working for you, and is there anything we can do?” would have demonstrated genuine concern. Waiting until the service charge was declined unfortunately created a very different impression. I also think venues need to be particularly thoughtful about questioning customers over discretionary service charges. Not everyone is comfortable speaking up for themselves, and putting somebody on the spot in front of other diners can leave them feeling pressured or embarrassed into paying something that is supposed to be optional and, in this case, was not reflective of the experience received. Overall, Sky Garden is undeniably a beautiful place. The plants, natural light and London skyline make it somewhere worth experiencing, and I would still like to see it at night. The food was unremarkable and the drinks disappointing, but honestly neither would have prompted me to write this review. It was the service – and particularly how my decision not to pay the service charge was handled – that turned a mediocre dining experience into a genuinely disappointing one. I hope management takes that distinction seriously. Good hospitality isn't demonstrated by asking what went wrong once the service charge disappears; it's demonstrated by caring about the answer when a customer first tells you something is wrong.
Dinner at The Larch was fantastic and seeing the Sky Garden was the cherry on top! Absolutely beautiful experience!
Beautiful view, GREAT Italian meal. Super friendly people. Would totally go again. Such a fun evening!
Really enjoyed the food and sat out on the terrace. Lovely atmosphere and very friendly professional staff. Sky garden is really worth visiting too. Amazing views at the top and really buzzing atmosphere. Great fun and recommend to all travelkers
We will only allowed evening entry. This was not clearly stated in the details when we booked. The place was quite disappointing.
Brilliant! What a great night out - the restaurant service was excellent, as was the meal. And we chose the finest night to enjoy the sunset at the Sky Gardens, the musicians were great. My sister and her husband were very pleased their special anniversary present!
Overall we had a good time. Know that 1) the restaurant is not up in the tower (they are much more expensive!) but at ground level, 2) you will need age ID (over 18) if you want to go up after 18:00, 3) it is cheaper to book direct with operator, and 4) the drinks up in the sky garden are expensive (of course) and mostly ice! However, all staff were lovely, the food was reasonable (nothing special but fine, fairly good atmosphere), and the sky garden itself....well it is just a few large plant beds and some of the plants were a little sad...but the views and the party atmosphere were great! Honestly worth it for the views and feeling special. Magnificent. You can linger and enjoy.
Entry to sky garden is free. So not sure why it is mentioned as a deal. Meal is from a limited menu so not much choice.
The Larch restaurant is not at top of sky garden and across street at bottom. NOT at top. Viator are False advertising and conning people. There is a restaurant at top called Fenchurch restaurant. Dont be fooled by this con used by viator.
Larch restaurant 1 star. Sky garden 5 star.
The dinner was served promptly & food was OK. Easy access to the sky garden deck was achieved by showing our signed restaurant docket. Although the sky deck was closed great views of the Thames & London were available from the Sky Garden.
Deception that the dinner would be in the clouds in skygarden. They are taking advantage of you and charge you with twice of the meals value.
In a nutshell, the staff was extremely helpful, even moved our reservation up a day for our convenience on the spot. Easy access, beautiful gardens and views.
Good food at Larch restaurant, easy to enter Sky Garden great experience. I have tried twice before to get into Sky Garden. It was nice to have a guaranteed entrance.
The food at Larch was good but overpriced. The sky garden has a nice view.
Good - something I could Give or take
The sky garden was beautiful! Had tickets for 630 at the larch. We got in around 615. The wait staff was friendly but our waitress was very slow at helping us. Watched 3 groups come in after us and leave before us. Didn't get out of there till almost 8 which was way too long for only a small 2 course meal. It was very good food. but the tickets for the sky garden started at 730. Line to get into there was long. Didn't actually get in there till almost 830
A little haphazard getting in but eventually ran smoothly. Wonderful views over London though I had expected a bit more garden as it was only a collection of (admittedly quite large) flowerbeds. As entry to sky garden is free anyway (or so I believe), I thought £79.00 for our 2 meals was a bit much as not much choice other than pizza and pasta. Would have preferred a meal actually in sky garden restaurant as this offer was for ground floor restaurant opposite. Would visit sky garden again but probably not on this offer.
The garden was closed but nevertheless the place is not worth visiting because it is just a bar and a little garden on the roof of a building
It was amazing the view was really beautiful and the food at Larch was phenomenal
I have lived and worked in London since 2012. I watched this building being built but have never ever thought of going there. I had a special event happening over the weekend and decided to explore the sky gardens and restaurants with my daughter. We weren’t disappointed. What a lovely space with great views. We ate in one of the restaurants and again we weren’t disappointed. I would highly recommend a visit.
It was great relaxing day, nice walk around drink , took few photos , staff is friendly atmosphere was good
I honestly don’t think our trip was worth the money at all. The food at The Larch was fine, but we ended up standing around for 30 minutes waiting to get up to Sky Garden, only to find out that we needed a table reservation, so we couldn’t sit anywhere. The music was so loud that we couldn’t talk to each other, and the back and highest area of Sky Garden was closed off. We spent maybe 10 minutes up there before going back down again. It was a very disappointing experience and definitely not worth the money. I think it would be fair if we were refunded half of the amount. We definitely won’t be booking this again.
It was not clear that restaurant is not at the top of Skygarden but in another building near Skygarden. You also need to attend restaurant first so we missed the sunlight time.
Nice location. Down side is the food. For the price you pay, the portion size is disappointing and nothing special when it comes to the taste. For dessert which cost around £8, you get 1 scoop of gelato. Terrible.
Just had an unforgettable experience at Sky Garden in London —combining those epic 360-degree views with a proper sit-down made it feel extra special! Perched high up in the “Walkie Talkie” building (20 Fenchurch Street), Sky Garden’s lush indoor garden and panoramic terraces are already amazing for free, but elevating it with dinner turns the visit into a proper evening out.
You have a false advertisement! Larch restaurant is on The street floor but the ad picture the restaurant is on 35th floor! I was upset because I thought we are eating upstairs with view !
Restaurant was good, food good, service good. Sky garden was a let down. Super cold in there, like ice cold. Couldn’t stay it was so cold it was not enjoyable to be there.
Very average food experience with slow, laissez-faire service. We had to send some wine back as it was disgusting. However once you go up to the Sky Garden, it’s pretty cool! A great thing to do with friends!
A pleasant, elegant evening. The Sky Garden is such a wonderful place but with the addition of the dinner, it really makes it such an extraordinary experience. Everything worked out smoothly with no hiccups from booking to our arrival at the Sky Garden. I would do it again if we were in town for longer! A great experience for couples and families!
The dinner may not be the most amazing food of your life but the view just might get close!
Great experience from start to finish! The Sky Garden views were stunning and dinner at Larch was delicious. Smooth entry and well organised, highly recommended.
Bad food. Bad experience. Don’t spend your money here. It’s a tourist trap. You expect dinner in Skygarden, but you eat very bad Italian food opposite the entrance from Skygarden.
Catastrophic, basic place, awful and borderline indigestible food. Avoid at all costs!
They closed the balcony at. 18 and it didn't show. So we had to stand behind two more panes of glass and the view was like that. The food was okay, but standard "fast food" quality. The staff at the restaurant was the best. Very nice
