Marty our tour guide is a London native and knows so much history of the city. He spent a lot of time showing us highlights of London that we likely would not know about on our own. He was very friendly and made sure we covered as many places as possible with the time we had. Highly recommend!

Kevin showed us hidden gems around the city we never would have seen. He was very polite, had a wicked sense of humor, shared personal stories, and gave us recommendations to do after the tour. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about London’s history.
Lots of walking but very interesting, great restoration of the war rooms, special lesser know sites with Kevin, our guide. Very knowledgable and a great storyteller.
This is a wonderful walking tour, not just for fans of Winston Churchill, but for anyone who is interested in London’s history and culture. Our guide, Stephen, was extremely knowledgeable, and loaded with fascinating details about Winston Churchill, the shops he frequented, but also about life in present day, London. And if you’re at all curious about where where the Beatles played their last concert on that London rooftop, you won’t be disappointed. Stephen has it on this tour. And James Bond fans will be pleased, too. I recommend this tour, especially for people who appreciate having an experienced, enthusiastic guide all to themselves. People who are curious, and like to ask a lot of questions will be more than satisfied with this tour.
Martin took us around from about 9:00 to 2:00 before taking us over to the cabinet war rooms. He was able to tell us a lot about London history, Churchill, and other fun facts. It was a brutally hot day but he was able to keep us in the shade 90% of the time. It was much appreciated!
Kevin was a terrific guide. He took the time to show us lesser-known London attractions in addition to the Churchill tour. He was very engaging and friendly - highly recommend!
Martin was an amazing tour guide!!! He met us in the lobby of out hotel and did a brief overview before we headed out for the day. He was very engaging with my 10 yo son and was full of wonderful stories.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and made the tour a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend to friends!
Kevin, our tour guide, was awesome. He’s extremely knowledgeable and very nice. He had exactly the right pace and has always attentive of our energy level. At the end, he asked us whether we wanted to continue or go directly to the War Rooms. This was very nice of him and we opted to finish the tour before going to the War Rooms. I would highly recommend Kevin to anyone. He anticipated all our questions and provided useful information and suggested other attractions and tour. Overall, we were extremely pleased with Kevin. Regards, Mike.
Many thank to Kevin for the outstanding tour today. We appreciated all the interesting facts and history. The tour exceeded our expectations. We came to learn about Churchill and the War Rooms but came away with so much more. The history of Big Ben, the figures on the face of Westminster Abbey, St James Park, Mayfair, Saville Row and the Burlington Arcade are just a few of the memorable sites. The bits of Beatles and quirky trivia were the cherry on top! I will not spoil all the surprises but suffice it to say that this was no ordinary tour and we have done many in several countries. Thank you again, Kevin. Wishing you a happy new year!
So informative and we so enjoyed our time with Kevin. What knowledge and dedication he has for his natuve country. Highly recommend him. He fit a so well with our family. We enjoy history and he added even more detail to it. Unknowingly, we happened to be staying in a historic hotel Churchill held meetings in!
Martin was phenomenal. We had time crunches and he worked with us still teaching us so much about his beautiful home city of London. Was a wonderful day! 🇬🇧
We had an issue with our flight leaving early. When I explained this, I expected that they would suggest canceling the tour but instead we were given an abbreviated walking tour and given access to the museum earlier. It was very much appreciated. Marty was excellent at showing us as many highlights as possible and getting us to the museum with time to see a good portion of it. Thank you, Marty!
Martin was an exceptional historian. We learned so much in 1/2 day. Plus he was an absolute delight to be around. Highly recommend for any amateur or advanced historian.
Loved this walking tour with Martin of Churchill's haunts and neighborhoods on the way to the War Rooms. Marty has a way of making history come alive!
It was Amazing and Entertaining! Stephen was a wonderful and knowledgable guide who shared a wealth of information and answered all of our questions. We had a travel delay and he was accommodating and kind.
Stephen was fabulous!! What a treat! I thoroughly enjoyed the tour! I will recommend to friends and family!
Very interesting and informative tour. Our guide, Martin, told us many facts and stories about World War 2 and Churchill. You will not be sorry.
Marty was great. We were able to see and hear a lot of things that probably is not on a normal group tour. He made everything very interesting! I would definitely recommend this tour.
This is another good "get your toes wet" tour for first time visitors to London. Not only is insight provided on Sir Winston's life and daily doings, but also an introduction and familiarization to some well known areas of London. A good initiation.
Very immersive tour of history and architectural development of west end of London, combined with history.
We really enjoyed Martin’s, “Marty’s”, expertise on the subject and his personable style. He showed us how to ride the tube and shared an incredible number of historical facts about Churchill, his life and how he came to become the pivotal figure in history that he was. Tour guides aren’t allowed into the war room experience, and we got to spend hours beforehand seeing important sights that were both Churchill related and otherwise.
Martin was an amazing guide for our tour of Piccadilly and sights associated with Churchill and Britains World War II history. It was exactly what I had hoped it would be. My only regrets is that my gratuity was insufficient for a tour that was absolutely perfect for our interests and capabilities.
Kevin (tour guide) was excellent, covered the basics, but so much more. Welcomed questions, pointed out very unique points in history and was very accommodative. War room was excellent, wry much enjoyed overall experience.
Martin was very knowledgeable. We enjoyed our tour. We loved the war Rooms. The War Rooms were fascinating. Highly recommend
We loved our tour with Marty. Learned so much about various parts of London, Churchill’s life and place in history, parliament & royals. Everything at a nice pace. Highly recommend!
Great walking tour of central London and the St. James area that finished with entry into the Churchill war rooms.
Our guide, Marty painted a wonderful picture of the old and the new London. The history and architecture of the city is at every turn. The Churchill war room was a perfect ending to our tour. We soaked in every minute. Thanks again to Marty!
Marty brought London to life. We felt like we understood life in the city and how to get around after three tour. Also learned about Winston Churchill and many other famous people.
Worthwhile and very enjoyable. Stephen, our guide, was very accommodating, knowlegdable and engaging.
Fantastic tour to start our trip! Marty was very knowledge guide and made it fun and memorable. Thank you.
Absolutely brilliant. We learned a lot and the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. Happy to adapt the tour to your needs and make it a great experience. Would recommend!
We absolutely enjoyed our personal historical tour of London with Martin. He is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He allows you to ask any questions you may have. One might say he even encourages it. The tour was delightful, insightful and thorough. Well done Marty. Would highly recommend.
Kevin was an exceptional guide who led us through a scenic route of London with expert knowledge and enthusiasm. As we made our way to the war rooms, he shared insights that only a true history enthusiast would know, making the journey feel rich with meaning. His storytelling transformed each piece of information into a captivating narrative, and by the time we arrived at the war rooms, we felt a deeper connection to Churchill and his legacy. Kevin’s patience, in-depth expertise, and engaging manner truly enhanced our experience, making the tour comprehensive, enlightening, and memorable.
This was as good a tour as we have been on anywhere. The star of the your is the legacy of Winston Churchill but that is personified in the person of our tour guide, Kevin. His enthusiastic 3 hour walk through London pointed out things we could’ve never seen. I can say enough nice things about that part of the tour. The Churchill War Rooms are well done. The self guided iPhone/headset was a little clunky and not terribly intuitive. The other part was by then we were hungry. All in all, Kevin made the tour.
Tour was more comprehensive than we expected. Kevin our tour guide was very knowledgeable and professional. He made the tour more fun by adding humor and special points of interest. This was our 3rd visit to London over past 30 yrs. but we learned more about the country's history because of this tour.
Tour was fantastic! Would highly recommend. Our guide Martin was wonderful - very knowledge and made it fun and engaging for my 13 year old son. Learned so much about London!
Martin was exceptional! We have a lovely tour. He was very friendly, accommodating and had expert knowledge of all things London. We especially loved his expert knowledge of the life and times of Winston Churchill. We ended the walking tour with a 90 min tour of the Churchill War Room on our own. Excellent day!
Highly recommend this tour!!! Stephen was absolutely amazing, engaging, and even threw in extra nuggets of history while on the tour. You will not be disappointed, so book this tour!
Stephen was a such guide!! We did have a great experience in Mayfair; visiting all the history and walking through the buildings and stores used by the royal family!! Very good and recommendable!!
Our guide Marty sharing his vast knowledge of Churchill. Anyone who takes this tour should request him. The tour is phenomenal for any WW II history buffs.
Marty was a fabulously entertaining guide. He went into great detail, and thoroughly answered all our questions. If you take this tour, ask for Marty!
Kevin was our guide, delightful cheerful and happy to share his historical knowledge. He embraced questions too. We saw the war room We are happy to say Kevin was also our Knights Templar tour guide.
Excellent tour. Our guide Kevin was very informative. If you’re interested in WWII this is an awesome experience.
Our guide, Martin provided a great tour! He was very knowledgeable. Martin shared stories and insights to life in London during Churchill’s height of power. Excellent!
Our guide was great! Stephen shared information and history at all points on our walk, not just Churchill history. We all enjoyed his company and extensive knowledge.
Traveling through the commercial areas of London and seeing the royal plaques given to merchants who provide goods to the Royal Family. Palaces that we were unaware of that were/are used by royals. Cigar shop frequented by Churchill. The extensive war rooms created by Churchill to conduct the planning of the war effort just outside Parliament. The Horse Guard! Wonderful guide-Martin!
Fantastic tour exceeding our expectations. Martins knowledge of London and Winston Churchill gave us insights into the London world. He was delightful to spend a few hours with and gave us information that we can continue to dig deeper into. Magnificent tour I wouldn’t hesitate doing again as I think we only scratched the surface of Martins knowledge.
Stephen Liddel was the most informed guide we have had on our trip. He told history and shared stories about Churchill we did not know. He was on time and very polite and considerate I highly recommend Stephen if you’re interested in unknown facts and little known information
Martin was fantastic! He gave us such a detailed overview of the various neighborhoods of London and their history. He had a wonderful knowledge of Winston Churchill.
