Fantastic story telling, eerie, and wonderfully contemplative tour! Declan does great at sharing his research and tons of information while also getting everyone in the group to think like a detective about the cases. I loved the participation and in depth look on stories I had not heard of before as well as some iconic ones. It is obvious the information gathering took years of research and you get to hear about some of it in one night. Fascinating tour highly recommend!

Declan was a great guide - super knowledgeable and a great storyteller - plenty of suspense and intrigue! He also made sure the tour was interactive, giving us all the chance to put our detective skills the test, with varying degrees of success! Something I wasn't expecting was the insight into London, wandering streets I would never normally have reason to visit and seeing some historical gems I was previously totally unaware of.

This was an amazing tour and the guide was really knowledgeable and engaging. Got to see some different parts of London and how they related to different killers - but the history was wider. Guide was really good and we will buy his book!!

I will start with the boring stuff: the directions to the start point of our tour were clear and we had no trouble finding Declan outside Barbican underground station. From the get go I knew Declan was the kind of tour guide I love; funny, enthusiastic and very passionate to share his extensive knowledge. We were immediately drawn into the dark and disturbing world of this part of London. I won’t spoil anything because I would recommend this walking tour to everyone but we took in some iconic sites that are infamous for their lurid and disturbing history. Declan was an absolute joy. He has such enthusiasm and genuine eagerness to teach and talk about truly fascinating events in history. In a world where “true crime” can come across as sensationalist, he was factual and entertaining without being ghoulish. Declan knows his stuff, he knows it really well. He is a natural born story teller and I will definitely be buying his book. I can’t wait to read anything else he publishes too. He engaged with us and put some puzzling and brain scratching questions to our group and honestly made us all think. It was excellent. We had a great time. We saw parts of London like The Old Bailey that I had never seen before. I couldn’t recommend this tour highly enough. Think you know the crimes and murderers of London? Think again……

Declan is an eccentric story-teller with vast knowledge of serial killers from both UK & abroad . He creates an exciting atmosphere of suspense whilst giving interesting facts around the winding route you take. The trip from Barbican to Holborn is beautiful and he makes everyone feel included

Declan has a wealth of knowledge about this subject. The tour is not for faint hearted. He keeps you fully engaged in the tour and makes you think . He is also an author on this topic and excellent memory of facts .

My husband and I wanted to book a 'walking tour' of London and booked the 'Serial Killers: The Blood and Tears Walk'. We are not fascinated by serial killers or have any specific interest in this area, but, wanted to know a little more about the history of London and who is not fascinated by 'Jack the Ripper'? We found Declan to be engaging and very knowledgeable about London and serial killers - there were only 6 of us on the tour - so, ideal size to keep us engaged. He knew his subject very well and we all enjoyed a 2 hour walking trip and learning about the depravaties of London many years ago! We would recommend, even if you are not an expert in this area.

Excellent if you like a good murder story

This tour is a great experience for people looking for fascinating, grisly stories from the many historical streets of London. The guide is entertaining, knows his stuff and offers a fascinating answer to the riddle of Jack the Ripper. For people from outside London, it’s also an opportunity to explore one of the most underrated, unexplored areas of the city.

My partner booked this as a gift for me as we both enjoy walking tours and have done a few in and around London. Unlike some this one is more interactive at points compared to the guide just telling you information. As such this is one of the best ones we have done by far and Declan was a fantastic guide. He was informative, approachable and considering the tour subject matter was very discreet and respectful of the victims. Sadly for Declan we were the only 2 on the tour when we did it but it did mean we had a monopoly of his attention. The tour as a whole was structured so well that you were hooked on every part and Declan was personable in a way that made you feel at ease. I have to admit I was eager to get a copy of Declans book. (Which my lovely partner bought me later that evening.) I would recommend the tour and am looking to book another one of Declans tours in the future. (Hopefully Declan finds a copy of 'Bridge across time' a.k.a 'Terror at London Bridge' to watch at some point)

My sisters and I have done lots of walking tours, and we all agreed - Declan was the best guide we’ve ever had! The walk itself was really interesting and full of great stories, but it was Declan’s way of engaging and involving us all that made it fantastic and memorable.

It was so interesting, educational, enigmatic and funny! Sincere reccomendations for all naration lovers, and mind the gap :)

Absolutely loved this , Declan the tour guide was a wealth of knowledge and the psychological side of things he brings to this tour is awesome! Lots of interaction that really involves the guests rather than just having someone spew facts at you as you walk along. I've got ADHD so to keep me so interested for the ENTIRE TOUR is a tribute to Declan .I've left tours halfway through due to boredom but not this one

I've had an amazing time on the walking tour! Got the voucher as a secret Santa present last year and kept putting it off as I believed it would be great for Halloween time! Definitely didn't disappoint. Very immersive, very interesting, I've learned so many new things about an area that is definitely not new to me. Declan was wonderful, knowledgeable and able to pull you into the story fully. I'll recommend to anyone I know! In the end I even bought the book he wrote and I can't wait to read it and learn even more about the many horror stories of London.
