Rocket Rebel London Speedboat Experience

Brilliant experience, would highly recommend as a fun way to see/hear about the history of the buildings on the Thames. Well worth it!

Tour guide was super nice and funny

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Thames Rockets and would recommend this to anyone who wants to get a little adrenaline pumping and then have some entertaining commentary on some of the river history as you head back through the slower speed zone. Even though you’re hurtling along at a decent speed there are some very witty songs being played at the same time so listen out for those. Ed is a very entertaining host and AJ handles the boat capably and confidently. All in all a bucket list item checked off and a fun day had by two sons, grandson and I.

Do it!! So much fun!! Put your phone away during the speed part because it goes fast and fun!

I booked this for my nephew for his 40th birthday gift, as I had done the trip last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. He did the trip with my partner and it was just as good. I would recommend this to anyone who likes a bit of adventure and fun.

After meeting at the given point( near the London eye) we were given a warm welcome and shown how to fit our life jackets..We were offered paka Mack's ( not needed for the ride but the inclement weather). Ginger jack was out guide and Bill was the skipper..while light hearted jack was very informative both ways of travel on the Thames... You travel down while doing The speed limit ( yes very slow ) while jack pointed out sites and little stories until you reach the part of the Thames that they can speed right up while twisting and turning playing music like James bond theme tune ect....it was good fun and my wife laughed all the way through the higher speed stuff , totally enjoying that experience.. Wish it could have lasted longer but as they say all good things come to an end.. Would recommend doing this with anyone that likes a laugh and a bit of higher speed travel. Well done Team..

Amazing time with Charleen and Rocky. Rocky’s tour knowledge was fantastic and presentation was fun and seamless. Think the pair of them did a Great job at making it fun for everyone. Also Tower Bridge opened up whilst on the tour which only happens 240 times a year.

O.M.G.! What an absolutely thrilling,exciting, exhilarating, high-octane, blistering experience. Seriously. Let alone the speedboat ride I can't praise this company enough. Their customer service is second to none, exemplary. I went with my daughter and granddaughter on a pre booked visit. Unfortunately my daughter had a slight accident which prevented us from doing our booked time slot. Jack called me 10 minutes from launch time, I explained the situation and he was very sympathetic and concerned. He went to check with the booking team and arranged for us to do a later trip, tick I am very limited in my mobility and often use a wheelchair, as i did that day. Life jacket was put on, insructions given and i was assisted onto the boat safely,tick Stacey and Phil were our crew. Stacey's commentary was informative and fun filled and Phils command of the boat was awesome.! tick oh, and a banging soundtrack. tick This is a true 100% description . Do it and have a fantastic day - you won't regret it, and worth every single penny!

Fantastic, thrilling and exhilarating experience piloted by AJ and great commentary and entertainment from James! A great way to see the sights of London from the Thames. Learnt so much on the journey out and had a blast on the high speed journey back! Lots of fun, felt safe, valued as a customer and because the boats are speed boats it is a small group of passengers. Great value and a must do activity when visiting London. Thanks James - the perfect host!

We had an absolutely fantastic time with Ed and Steve from Thames Rockets! They were incredibly attentive and engaging throughout, making the experience feel fun, relaxed and personal. We loved hearing all the fascinating facts and stories about London while zipping down the Thames — such a brilliant way to see the city from a completely different perspective. The music was also absolutely spot on and really added to the fun and energy of the experience. Ed and Steve were fantastic hosts, and we’d highly recommend Thames Rockets to anyone looking for a fun, exciting and memorable way to experience London! Was great to be able to use our Tesco Clubcard vouchers for this experience, a really affordable way to complete the experience.

Absolutely must do! Such a unique, exhilarating and fun experience. Several friends recommended it and it did not disappoint. My 10 year old son’s favorite part of our trip. Midgy and Ben were fantastic pair guiding us through our time on the Rocket.

From the moment we arrived, we were catered for. We were a little early. We were all allowed to get ourselves ready with the lifejackets, then we boarded. Joey was the tour guide and very knowledgeable. we learned a few fun facts about London. He was very engaging and entertaining. He then took a step back and let Charlene carry out her boat manoeuvres. Wow!! What a thrill. Mission impossible music too! Very good value for money.

Absolutely brilliant from start to finish would highly recommend jacks knowledge and witty commentary was fantastic not so much his singing voice though and as for Charlene who was steering the boat she was absolutely fantastic the ride was absolutely brilliant couldn't fault at all we were on the 2.15 ride today

This is an amazing experience, we loved every minute of it, our guide Joey and captain Bill were fantastic, it really is a must do trip when you are in London. It is great value for money and it lasted just over an hour, the boat goes slowly because of the speed restrictions until after Tower Bridge then it is full throttle and a real thrill ride! On the way back Joey did a great commentary of what we were seeing along the river. I would definitely do it again, I'm still smiling 3 days after it!

For a couple with a 13-year old this tour was excellent and will be one of our collective favorite memories from London. There are city elements you can only see from a boat, and at about 50 minutes the length was just perfect for everybody, plus you get the fun of the speedboat experience. Our guides were Rocky and Bill, they were absolutely wonderful

Steve and Phil made the experience amazing. Perfect level of commentary, both informative and witty. Loved the addition of the music to add to the atmosphere. A real experience that had you ear to ear smiling, squealing and laughing. Definitley recommend. Thanks Steve and Phil!

A highly enjoyable, well run and memorable experience with Thames Rockets yesterday evening. Instruction of where and how to find the craft was accurate and we were met by a nice guy who confirmed our booking (two people c£150), on the last launch of the day. Our guide (Jack) was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and kept the atmosphere light for the duration. The craft was half fun and very well controlled - at no point did we feel in danger (although the speed elements clearly required a high level of training). 50 minutes went by very quickly and I would highly recommend this event. There is some very slight river spray (you don't get wet), ensure you have onto your phone, and please don't carry a bag or rucksack as there is nowhere to store it. Nice work Thames Rockets!

This tour was so much fun, not only was the actual speedboat experience fun and exciting but the tour guide Jay made it interesting and hilarious. The driver Tom was very good, the tour was thrilling but also felt completely safe and controlled. The journey back was full of interesting facts and comedy which made the journey even better. The tour guide Jay made an effort to get to know every passenger and made good conversation throughout, which made the trip enjoyable but also felt more personalized, it also meant that we slightly got to know other passengers which was good. The atmosphere was very nice, the amount of people was good, it was not overcrowded, the music playing made the experience even more enjoyable. I would love to be able to do this for even longer next time. Overall, I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for something fun and unique to do in London City Centre. Thank you!

What a great introduction to London! We were exhausted with traveling overnight to get here and this was the perfect thing to do with our multigenerational group (youngest is 9). We all perked right up when the speed went up, plus we had some nice sightseeing from the river. Jay was our guide and both informative and entertaining. Tom did a great job driving the boat. I enjoyed the music selection and you are welcome to bring your own playlist if you wish. Plus the guys on the dock that checked us in were super nice and understanding. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful times with my daughter! The back row is very loud and it’s hard to hear the funny guide, but we had a great time passing all the snail-pace boats on Thames! 😀

Great experience. Family of 4 ( kids age 9 & 12). We had a brilliant trip and I would highly recommend. Interesting to see the sights from the water. Our guide Sofi was excellent. After the guided tour the boat gets to speed up which we all enjoyed. Would go It all again

Fantastic experience. The skilled captain (Charlene) took us on a thrilling high speed trip along the Thames while the guide (Geoff) kept us all howling with laughter. I thoroughly recommend this for all ages.

We were in London for a long weekend, hot weather so wanted an outdoor activity for Sunday. We thought a boat trip and this caught our eyes!! So glad we booked it. I was text about updates about our booking , where to meet and what times . On the day we were 15 mins early so checked in. When it was nearly our time we were shown how to wear out life jackets and had a health and safety talk. We were called forward and onto the boat . Sophia welcomed us and she talked to us about the boat . Our driver was Charlene and Bill too. Fabulous team. Going out we had music and once by the police ‘station’ on the river, we let Rip!! James Bond music and away we went, twisting and turning. Fabulous. A great trip , just wish it was longer. Thankyou Team 🥰

This was a beautiful experience left on time Sandy. I believe her name was was very nice. Did a great job being a tour guide. Great comedy. Funny engaging hospitable Ben was the driver. Did a great job. Didn't talk but so I don't know that much about it. But overall the tour was one of the better things we did in London

Superb experience. So much fun and great guides. An absolute must when you love speed and a good time. Jay, sharlene and AJ were absolutely fabulous

For the majority of the trip the boat went very slowly. I actually dozed off. I was sitting in the very back and could not hear or understand one word the guide said. I would not recommend this experience!

Really cool & great fun for adults & kids. The first 20 mins and last 20 mins are at normal speed then they let rip after the police station when the speed limit increases, but only for about 10-15 minutes in total is fast. The fast bit was really exciting though. Our tour guide Jordan was funny and knowledgeable.

40 min trip and you go 35 mph for 5 mins and rest is at idle speed for the other 35 mins. Our group of 7 was very disappointed!

Starts off with our friendly guide and comedian Rocky getting to know the crowd, then goes into the really fun speed section. Loved the music during this part! Then, we slowed down and had a spoken tour. Rocky was very knowledgeable about the buildings in London and he was very friendly and sociable with the group. Would recommend, especially in the summer months!

Had an awesome Hour. Ed was our very engaging guide. Could not wipe the smile off our faces for several hours after. A great mix of nice to see London from a different angle to Woo-hoo exhilaration, and then fun information on the route back.

Incredible experiance me and my partner enjoyed it so much so helpful with my partner transferring in to the boat. From wheel chair our guides where lovely rocky tom and cant remember other guy but we was on 11.15 Sunday 31st Highly rcommended Word of warning hold on tight and hold your belongings :)

Had a few hours to kill while in London. Having been on a "bay to remember" rhib ride in Cardigan and loved it, what better than to take a tour on the Rebel rocket. One of the most exciting and fun things you can do in London. The Thames Rockets Rocket Rebel tour is an absolute thrill from start to finish. The sheer power and acceleration of the boat make it feel like a rollercoaster on water, slicing through the Thames with exhilarating speed. What really elevates the experience is the perfectly chosen music - high-energy tracks that sync brilliantly with every twist, turn, and burst of acceleration. The combination of speed, scenery, and soundtrack makes this one of the most exciting and memorable ways to see the city. I've done it a few times now and it's always a blast. Shout out to Rocky who I've had the pleasure of travelling with several times, and Matt who is a wizard at the wheel.
