This is fantastic! I actually booked it for my husband as he’s the much bigger music fan. I had so much fun myself! We did the 4 hours and it went FAST. It’s informative, interesting and fun. Steve has a world of knowledge. If in London again, I will definitely book another tour around different artists with Steve. I see why this tour consistently gets 5/5 stars.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Steve and Rck Cab Tours! My dad and I had the best time on the tour. Steve is an excellent and incredibly passionate guide. He has a wealth of knowledge about London, music, history, and sports and is an excellent storyteller. Steve catered the tour to my dad's musical interests (I arranged the tour as a surprise for him), and even added a stop for me, which was incredibly kind and appreciated. He also provided excellent guidance on how to get the best pictures! Thanks to Steve, I now have a priceless picture of my dad and I walking the Abbey Road crosswalk. This picture is made more special given my dad avoids cameras and pictures of himself at all costs. The cab itself was clean and comfortable and easy for my dad (has knee issues) to get in and out of. We have been home for several weeks and my dad continues to tell stories and share pictures from the tour. Without a doubt, it was the highlight of our trip overseas. Thanks for everything Steve!
A must do if you are a music lover and are in London!! Steve is incredibly knowledgeable about the music scene and is super fun!! My husband and I, took my sister and mother on Steve’s tour in May of 2024 and we had the best time!! It was definitely a highlight of our trip! So much so, that we took our son and daughter-in-law on the same exact tour with Steve while we were in London in October of 2026. Once again, Steve knocked it out of the park!! We had an amazing time and will definitely book with him in the future!! Thanks Steve for a great time and your friendship!!!!
It’s very personal and interactive. The tour is an absolute delight! We so enjoyed the all the knowledge Steve shared with us. Definitely a highlight of our trip!
We had the BEST time on the Music Legends Private Taxi Tour of London with Rock Cab Tours! 🎸🎶 Steve was absolutely awesome! He was so knowledgeable about London's incredible music history, which made the entire experience even more special. Visiting all the historic places connected to some of the greatest music legends was truly unforgettable. Every stop had its own story, and it was amazing to see these iconic locations up close and experience a special part of London's rich musical history. The tour was the perfect combination of history, music, and entertainment! Steve made the experience memorable from beginning to end. If you're visiting London and love music, I highly recommend this tour! It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip and a memory we'll cherish for years to come. Thank you, Steve, and Rock Cab Tours, for such an incredible experience! ❤️
Steve is absolutely brilliant, fantastic, fascinating, and then some! From the moment we stepped into his cab, we were instantly transported back to the 1960s. We spent the tour immersed in the iconic history of legendary bands like The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Queen, Jimi Hendrix, Elton John, Genesis, and many more. Steve took us right to the places where these rock legends lived, recorded, and got their start, sharing intriguing and deeply engaging stories about their journeys in London. His vivid storytelling made us feel like we were right there in the 60s, living through the golden era of rock right along with him. His passion and love for classic rock are truly inspiring. An absolute highlight of the trip was visiting Abbey Road and crossing the famous zebra strip. Of course, Steve was right there to capture the moment and take our photo. If you love rock and roll, do yourself a favor when you are in London and book Steve’s Rock Cab Tour. He is truly one of a kind, and the experience is worth every cent. We couldn't recommend it more highly!
Well what can i say? From the moment we met steve he was absolutely amazing. My brother and I booked this tour for my dads 80th birthday treat. My dad is such a massive music fan and from the moment he met steve they got on like a house on fire. It was brilliant to see him interact with someone who loved music from the 60s onwards as much as my dad does. Steve picked us up from Victoria Station and from the moment we met him his information was fantastic. There was no rush and even when we were driving between locations he was still really chatty. We saw where the Beatles lived , the Rolling stones , Jimmy hendrix. We also saw Abbey road recording studio and walked across the crossing. We even got to see Robbie Williams house and the Beckham house. We had plenty of time for photos and steve was so good with all the information. It was really lovely to be driven around London as well and steve really explained different places. The taxi was lovely and clean and nothing was to much trouble. I would definitely recommend this tour and i will be recommend him to my friends and family and would definitely do another tour with steve. Thank you so much for making my dads day a really memorable 1 love Sarah Anthony and John xx
This tour was absolutely outstanding. Steve knew so much about so many English rock groups-- it was amazing. My family was so appreciative of the places we went to and just Steve's enthusiasm besides his vast knowledge about all these English Rock groups. I also have some mobility challenges which Steve factored into his tour. This was such a great find on Trip Advisor and just learning about all the bands that had shaped our music landscape all these years was terrific. We also went to Abby Road but all I have is the movie of our experience not a still photograph. That was an exciting stop as well.
My mother and I visited London on September 18th, and one of the highlights of our trip was our Rock Cab Tour with Steve. From the moment we met him, he was so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely excited to share his love of London and its incredible rock ’n’ roll history with us. Steve’s knowledge was absolutely incredible. He didn’t just know the famous stories—he knew the names, dates, places, and details behind them, often answering questions right off the top of his head. It was amazing to hear him talk about the history of the music, the artists, and the places that helped shape rock ’n’ roll in London. You could tell this wasn’t just information he had memorized; he truly has a passion for the history and the stories behind it. What made it even more special was how personable Steve was. He made my mother and me feel like we were spending the day exploring London with an old friend rather than simply taking a tour. He was patient, funny, engaging, and made sure we were enjoying every stop along the way. Since this was our first real introduction to London, I can honestly say Steve set the bar incredibly high! He gave us such a wonderful first impression of the city and helped make our mother-daughter trip even more memorable. We came to London looking forward to seeing the sights, but we left with stories, laughter, and memories we’ll be talking about for years. If you’re a music lover—or even just someone who loves a great story—do yourself a favor and book Rock Cab Tours. And if you get Steve as your guide, you’ve hit the jackpot! Thank you, Steve, for making our first day in London so special. We absolutely loved it! 🇬🇧🎸❤️
We thoroughly enjoyed our rock tour with Steve. He customised our tour to our music choice, was knowledgeable and made the trip entertaining. Steve is an A1 tour guide and an all round top guy. Would highly recommend this tour.
Our Rock Cab Tour was one of the highlights of our recent trip to London. Steve was absolutely meticulous about details, initially contacting me about a week ahead to confirm our booking, and again after we had arrived in London. Our meeting went without a hitch, and off we went in the London Black Cab, following in the footsteps of such legends as the Rolling Stones, Beatles, Freddie Mercury, and Jimmy Page. Steve has an encyclopedic knowledge of rock history and made every stop come alive with tales of the rock and rollers who shaped music history. If you love rock and roll, you'll love this tour!
STEVE—> Last Thursday, we had the pleasure to spend 4 hours with Steve! The problem was that we EASILY could’ve spent 4 days with him 👯♀️🇬🇧🎸 Knowledgeable ✔️ Kind ✔️ Great Communicator/ Storyteller and a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🚕 driver ‼️ #WorthIt

Absolutely fantastic experience with Rock Cab Tours! We took the Music Legends Private Taxi Tour of London with Steve, the owner and our guide, and it was truly one of the highlights of our time in London. Steve is incredibly knowledgeable about London’s music history, but what really made the tour special was his passion and enthusiasm. He didn’t simply take us to locations—he brought the stories behind them to life. You could tell that this is much more than a business to Steve; he genuinely loves the music, the history, and sharing it with others. Seeing the iconic locations connected to some of the greatest music legends was an unforgettable experience. The private taxi tour made it feel very personal and relaxed, and Steve made sure we had a wonderful time throughout the entire experience. I highly recommend Rock Cab Tours to anyone who loves music, music history, or simply wants to experience a completely different and fascinating side of London. Steve is an exceptional host and guide, and you can tell how much pride he takes in what he does. This is definitely a tour we will remember for a long time. If you’re visiting London, put this one on your list—you won’t regret it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
It was a great experience.Fees were fine and the tour length was very generous. The taxi was a great size for a group of 2 or 4. We had rain, but it did not take away from our fun. Stephen is a very good host. We informally played Rock and Roll trivia. I’m sure it was a draw. For me, the Stones, Beatles, Zeppelin and Hendrix sites were the highlights. There were also some great Queen stops. Photo 1 Jimmy Paige home and 2 Abbey Road
A wonderful experience. Steve is such a friendly, informative guide. We had a great time comfortably touring around London and hearing insightful stories about the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Freddie Mercury, David Bowie and more. It’s also a great way to see London neighborhoods. It truly exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this tour.
Steve, our driver and expert extraordinaire, was absolutely amazing!! We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and personalization that Steve provided!! We highly recommend this experience and would suggest you ask for Steve!!
I highly recommend this tour. Steve is amazing and you will have a great time.
This was a fabulous tour! Steve was so informative and friendly. We went to many different spots in London and he shared so much rock trivia along the way. I highly recommend it
What a fabulous tour! Steve picked us up at our hotel and the fun began. My husband and son are huge music fans and Steve knew trivia even they didn’t know. I am not a music trivia fan and yet found the tour absolutely wonderful. His communication before, during and after the tour was great! I highly recommend this tour
Steve was a knowledgeable and engaging tour guide who took us from the swinging London 60’s forward. Stones, Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Bowie, Yes… we hit it all! Worth every penny, we had a fun day tripping down our musical memory lane and seeing where rock history happened. Thank you!
I highly recommend Steve if you're interested in a Rock music black cab. My boyfriend & I booked Steve for a private tour. What an awesome experience! Steve was on-time, very friendly, knowledgeable, came prepared with photos, videos, notes & fantastic stories. Steve customized our tour to the bands we like most and also gave us insights & highlights on additional bands we enjoy listening to. We are in the process of planning our next trip to London and will be booking with Steve again. Book time with Steve! You wont be disappointed.
If you are even a little into the history of London rock and roll you will really like this tour. If you are REALLY into the history of London rock and roll you will absolutely love this tour. My wife and I had an amazing time with Steve! He is very communicative up front, and tailored our tour to our respective tastes, and even changed things up on the fly upon request if he could. I can't say enough good things about him. He was a wealth of knowledge, fun, kind, and everything you would want in a guide for a tour like this. Next time in London we will definitely be booking again as there is so much more to see, and more stories to hear. The rock cab tour was my personal highlight from our five days in London.
My girlfriend and I booked a private music tour with Steve several months in advance, and it turned out to be one of the absolute highlights of our time in London. From the time we booked, Steve stayed in touch with us to confirm the details and make sure everything was set. On the day of the tour, he arrived right on time, was incredibly friendly and enthusiastic, and came extremely well prepared. It became obvious very quickly that music and its history aren’t simply subjects Steve knows about—they’re a genuine passion of his. Steve immediately noticed our Pink Floyd and Rolling Stones shirts and began asking about our individual music tastes. Rather than following a set itinerary, he tailored the tour to our interests as we went. When he realized how much we liked Pink Floyd, he adjusted the route to include Battersea Power Station, famous from the cover of Animals. Since it was a little farther out of the way, he made it our first stop and then planned the rest of the route back through London. That willingness to adapt the tour to us continued throughout the day. One of the things that really set Steve’s tour apart was how prepared he was. He brought laminated historical photographs, videos, notes and plenty of stories. At many of the locations, he showed us photographs of the musicians standing in the exact places where we were now standing, often lining up the old photograph with the buildings and streets behind it. Seeing the past and present together really brought the history to life. We covered an incredible amount of music history, visiting places connected with Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Freddie Mercury and others. We saw the former Marquee Club, The Ship, Paul McCartney’s home, Jimmy Page’s home, Freddie Mercury’s former home, Abbey Road and the location of The Beatles’ famous rooftop performance. As we traveled between stops, Steve continued pointing out interesting locations and homes associated with other well-known people, including Adele and David Beckham. Abbey Road was especially memorable. Steve knew exactly where to go and how to get the photographs we wanted. He even parked his black cab in the same spot where the police vehicle appears in the historic Abbey Road photos so we could recreate the scene. He also came prepared with Sharpies so we could sign the wall. Those little details showed his experience and how much thought he puts into making the tour memorable. Steve was also fantastic about taking photos of the two of us throughout the day. He knew the locations, where to position us and which angles worked best. Our pictures came out extremely well, and we ended up with some wonderful photos of the two of us together that we’ll be able to look back on for years. Another thing that stood out was Steve’s relationship with the people and places along the route. He knew staff at various stops and made sure we were welcomed and treated well. It gave the experience a personal feel that you simply wouldn’t get by visiting these locations on your own. Most importantly, Steve was just a pleasure to spend the day with. He is extremely knowledgeable without ever making the tour feel like a lecture. He listened to what interested us, answered our questions, shared great stories and genuinely seemed to enjoy talking about the music as much as we did. By the end of the tour, it felt less like we’d spent the day with a tour guide and more like we’d been riding around London with an old friend talking about music. We would highly recommend Steve to anyone interested in British rock and music history. His knowledge, preparation, flexibility and personal approach made the experience exceptional from beginning to end. If you want more than just a sightseeing tour and instead want to truly experience the stories behind the music in a way that feels personal, immersive and unforgettable, Steve is exactly the person to do it with.
Steve is absolutely an amazing tour guide and provided a top notch experience from the very beginning. His communication pre-tour was stellar and his knowledge on the tour was astounding. Steve is both outstanding at his job and is genuinely excited to share his knowledge and experience. That combination led to a special trip for all three in our party. Highly recommended; book with confidence knowing that you’ll have a great time.
If you are any kind of fan of British music you MUST book this tour with Steve! Honestly, it was one of the greatest vacation days I have ever had. He spent years in record promotions and has now been running this tour for over a decade, so the the things he knows and the stories he has to share are unbelievable. I literally could spend a week with Steve just listening to him! Be sure to book at least 4 hours, because I promise that any less will simply not be enough time.
The Rock Cab Tour was an amazing experience! It was a personalized tour, and Steve was able to research an obscure musician that my husband is a fan of. His knowledge of rock history is encyclopedic. He had both laminated photos to re-create, plus tablet photos. He was able to deal well with my mobility issues, too. This is a must-do for any rock music fan!
This tour is a must on your visit to London. Steve is a great host and has an infinite amount of information. He will even tailor your tour toward your particular interests. The time went by too fast but we have lots of pictures to remind us of the great time we had
Steve has an unbelievable amount of knowledge and we became instant friends. He will tailor the tour to your particular interests. He has countless stories and the time went by very quickly. We would recommend this tour to anyone interested in the UK’s & London’s innumerable contributions to the music scene.
This is a great tour for anyone who is a fan of the British music scene as it relates to the city of London. From the Beatles and Rolling Stones to the Clash and Amy Winehouse guide Steve knows his history and provides some great background stories that you won't hear anywhere else. Many sites along the route where some luminaries still live, did live, or played music at. Highly recommend!
Absolute must tour when in London - Steve is a brilliant guide who is very knowledgeable and made for a great afternoon - would highly rey
This was the best tour I have ever been on! Steve picks you up, takes you on an amazing 4 hour tour, then drops you off at your hotel, etc. You spend those hours in a comfy cab with A/C. Steve imparts a world of knowledge and cool stories about the rock scene in London and other interesting facts about the city. You make periodic stops to take pictures at relevant spots, including Abbey Road Studios! We had a blast and learned so much! Highly, highly recommend!
Always a great time! This was my second time in the Rock Cab! Steve is so accommodating and laid back. He's so knowledgeable and truly loves his job! The stops are fun and a part of music history! Will book again in the future.
Steve is a joy full of rock-n-roll stories and in his element while tootling through London in the back of his taxi. I was surprised by the amount of content he packed in complete with laminated pictures and others from his iPad. It’s a million times more satisfying hearing geodesic dome stories and more outside Sir Paul’s wooden gate than just snapping a photo and staring at the gate. Thank you for the lovely afternoon, Steve!
My husband and I are both huge fans of the Beatles and artists from the 60s and 70s. We saw all the sights connected with them such as Abbey Road, EMI, Paul’s house in St John’s Wood plus many others too numerous to mention. It was also great to see some sights of London we wouldn’t have if not for Steve pointing them out. Highlight of our short time in London. Thanks so much Steve - we are your biggest fans!
Rock Cab Tours was a blast! Steve was very attentive and communicative all throughout the process. He contacted me before the tour just to confirm everything was still a go. He picked us up directly at our hotel. Once we started the tour, he was so informative about all the locations we went to. It was really fun talking with him about the history of all the London rock legends! Lots of stops along the way to get out and take pictures. I’m a huge Beatles fan and Steve took a video of us walking across Abbey Road and gave us plenty of time to visit the Abbey Road gift shop. He even supplied us with sharpies to write on the wall! Steve provided pictures of the legends in the iconic places we went to such as the Rolling Stones house, Ringo’s house (where Jimi Hendrix stayed for a while), Jimmy Page’s house, and lots more. The pictures added a nice dimension to what we were seeing-then and now! Steve was extremely personable and you can tell he has fun talking about the rock legends and history. It was really fun bantering with him about all the history. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this enjoyable and informative tour!
Outstanding! Funny, Charming, Insightful and an encyclopedia of UK Music History. A treasure and a memory for a lifetime! The highlight of our visit.
Steve picked us up at 9 am sharp and was waiting for us. Friendly, knowledgeable and Rock passionate for sure. There were so many stories and info which was fantastic. We would highly recommend!!
Steve, the rock and roll cabbie was the highlight of my trip! Book him early and you’ll have an amazing time hearing stories from the 60’s, 70’s 80’s and beyond while seeing so many cool historical sites and famous homes. He’s so fun to hang with, and his love for London and music is infectious.
We did the Rock Tour this week & Steve is the best Tour guide! His knowledge of rock music & also the city of London is unmatched. Taking this tour with Steve was like cruising around with an old friend- don’t hesitate to book this tour!
Our rock-and-roll tour of London was the highlite of our visit. Riding through the city while learning about its incredible musical history brought London's legendary rock scene to life. From the stories of Jimmy Hendrix, Freddy Mercury, and the Beatles to visiting the venues where iconic performances took place, the neighborhoods where these artists lived, and launched their careers, every step was fascinating. Whaat truly made the experience exceptional was our guide, Steve. He was friendly, personable, and clearly passionate about both London and its music history. His knowlege was impressive, and he knew exactly where to park so we could maximize our time at each location. Steve's great sense of humor, professionalism and engaging storytelling kept the tour entertaining from start to finish. Whether you are a lifelong rock fan or simply interested in London's cultural history, this tour is a fantastic experience. We left with a deeper appreciation for the city's enormous influence on rock music and a collection of memories well be talking about for years. Highly recommended and if you are lucky enogh to get Steve as your guide, you're in for a real treat.
We did our first tour with Steve in July 2024 and had so much fun that we knew we'd be back! Steve showed us so much more on this 2nd tour including Marylebone Station (where a Hard Day's Night was filmed), Olympic Studios (so historic!), a stop at Olympic Records, Chiswick House Gardens were the Beatles filmed the promo video for Paperback Writer, the Hammersmith Odeon, and the very place where Marc Bolan died plus the memorial and SO much more. This tour was incredible and I was so glad to have this time again with my parents! Don't hesitate, book with Steve. He is so fun and you feel like you're hanging out with an old friend. His stories are so interesting and you really feel like you're going back in time. I'll be back hopefully soon to do the regular tour to show my young daughters some Beatles history! Thanks, Steve...you are the best in the business!!
What can we say except this has been one of the major highlights of our 3 month trip Steve was a knowledgable and wonderful guide. We saw the homes of the Rolling Stones where it all began, the home of Jimmy Page and Robbie Williams and Freddie Mercury. The major highlight was seeing where the Beatles Members lived and the opportunity to visit the Abby Road and the crossing Plenty of time to take photos and we loved the stories. Great tour and highly recommend this to any music fans.
Prepare for an awesome Rock n Roll adventure, you won't be disappointed! We loved every minute and will definitely book this experience again. Steve was the perfect host and his breadth of knowledge is commendable. He's also a really nice bloke and treated us like VIPs! This tour has been the highlight of our visit to the UK.
Steve was an incredible guide. Brought us to historic sites but also included fascinating stories. Very knowledgeable and personable. Couldn’t be happier that I chose this tour. Worth the money and more!!!
We booked Steve for a fantastic tour full of UK Rock history! Seeing houses and sights which could tell a lot of histories, hearing stories all about rock legends and going back in history with old fotos showing the spots where rock history in UK was made! It's a MUST, thank you Steve for this rocktastic ride!
Our first full day in London we did the Rock Cab Tour with Steve- and had a great time. You can tell he loves what he does and his enthusiasm was fantastic. We toured all over London seeing the history of so many amazing artists. Steve was great about taking photos of us, and was flexible in dropping us off in Soho at the end of our tour. The rest of our week in London when we would drive through different boroughs my husband and I would point out places we saw with Steve! I would highly recommend booking this this tour!
Fantastic!! If you live music you won't be disappointed. We would do it again in a heartbeat! The stories he tells at the stops are fun and fascinating.
We just spent the most enjoyable fascinating, entertaining afternoon with Steve from rock cab tours! Highly recommended for anyone with an interest in music and/or history. Steve will regale you with amazing stories while ensuring you get an understanding of the people and places who made the sixties and seventies such a formative time for music. A fabulous way to spend an afternoon in London! One of the best tours we have ever experienced
