Excellent choice to book a full day private tour. Westminster Abbey and Tower of London were so much better with a private tour. Grace B was amazing. She was knowledgeable and a great storyteller.

Geo was responsive and I always appreciate that! He helped us set up exactly what we wanted. Charlotte was our guide and she was amazing as well! She made sure our day was spent as we wished. We chose where we went and how long we stayed. I loved that she asked what type of information we wanted wanted to hear - history, facts, fun stories - at each location. Monica, from Private London Tours gave us an 8 hour walking tour of London. We saw the Tower of London and learned the amazing history of that. We met a Beefeater, saw the crown jewels, toured the complex . We saw the Tower Bridge and the unimpressive London Bridge :). We had a lovely lunch in an out of the way restaurant that Monica found for us. Then we went into Westminister Abby, walked through Parliment, and saw Big Ben before walking through the gardens to see Buckingham Palace. It was a FANTASTIC day and compared to other tours I looked at and used -this was a GREAT deal. I highly recommend this tour and Monica

This tour was amazing. Paul was our guide and he kept us all interested and engaged. We did the walking tour and it was quite a hot day but Paul was responsive to our needs. He is very familiar with London, taking us on the tube or a boat whichever was best, to get to different destinations. We had the tours of Westminster Abbey and the Tower of London, as well as seeing the Changing of the Guard. Paul was great. He not only knew all the history but added many anecdotes making the tour very enjoyable

We did 3 tours while in London and they were Cotswold/Bath, Stonehenge/Windsor Castle and London. We had he same tour guide all three days- Mark - and I cant rave enough about his knowledge and an absolute pleasure to be with. Our driver all three days was Sharoff who was also outstanding. Mark's knowledge was amazing and made each and every day so enjoyable. Wee can't recommend enough the value and fun all there of our tours. When we come back we will again be using this tour company an hopefully Mark!

Our recent tour was truly memorable, even though it was a bit exhausting given our age :). We thoroughly enjoyed exploring some of London’s most iconic landmarks, including Big Ben, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Buckingham Palace and the House of Parliament. Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and engaging, sharing fascinating insights about the city that enriched our experience. We left with a deeper appreciation for London and its rich history!

We just returned from Easter break in London and Paris. We used a private tour guide 3 days and it was fabulous (for the 4 of us, kids age 10 & 12, husband and I). Gio was fabulous customizing our days. I love private tours and have found that they make our trips so much more enjoyable and we learn and see so much more. I love to wander some, but I also want to see the highlights. If you figure the cost of flights, hotels, and frustration and time lost trying to find your way around in an unfamiliar place, it is 1000% worth it to me. Also kept my kids engaged and doesn’t cost much more than 4 people on Viator tours. He customized 1) Stonehenge, Windsor Castle, and a stop in Richmond (so I could see Ted Lasso area and store), 2) walking tour of London including Tower of London, St Paul Cathedral, Churchill War rooms, 3) Paris walking tour including Notre Dame, Louvre, Montmartre. For anyone who’s been there, London and Paris have so much to see so you really have to pick and choose your priorities. I think with a tour guide we easily see 1.5-2x what we would on our own. Also no worries about booking tickets at a particular time and you weave through the crowds because the local you are with knows where they are going!! Also tips like, “go to the right on the moving walkway in the Crown Jewels at the Tower of London so you can see the huge diamond and look for the Sword of State among the 10 other swords- it’s the most important piece”. My wife and I travelled to London for our wedding anniversary and booked both the London highlights private tour and the Cotswolds and Bath private tour. We had a great experience in both tours and we really enjoyed our time with our tour guide Mike. He is very knowledgeable and an overall great person. Very easy going and likable. He made us feel at home from the very beginning. I will certainly be booking another tour in the future with London Private Tours. Great company, very professional!

Great tour! My husband and I try to book a walking tour when we visit a new city, and this was a fabulous one. Aaron our guide was so knowledgeable, and gave us a full day of nearly everything we had wanted to see in London - Trafalgar Square, Westminster Abbey, St. Paul's, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, and the Tower of London. I would definitely recommend the tour to anyone interested in getting a full London tourist experience!

Highly recommended! My wife and I spent the whole day with Vicky and she was so nice and knowledgeable. Visited Westminster Abbey, the War room and the changing of the guard. Also dealing with Gio to set this up was a seamless experience.

We did the private walking tour of the Tower of London, St Paul’s Cathedral, and the Churchill War rooms. Gavin was our wonderful leader. We learned so much, rode the tube and a bus, and were introduced to new foods. It was a long day but one I highly recommend especially with Gavin as your guide.

We had an incredible day tour with Gavin. Born and raised in London, he was a wealth of information and knew every alley of the city. He was an absolute joy and his knowledge of everything we saw was incredible. We walked from our hotel to the Tower of London - on the way he showed us many old sights of London and pointed out some locations where Harry Potter was filmed, which wasn't part of our tour. We then took a black cab to Westminster Abbey where he continued to be an excellent tour guide. He chose an amazing place for us to have lunch (a traditional pub) before we headed to the Churchill War Rooms. Again, his knowledge was detailed and well delivered. He was simply amazing and everything about this tour was excellent, I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

My daughter and I recently did a “London Highlights Private Tour”. Liz was our tour guide and was wonderful and extremely knowledgeable. We were able to tweak our itinerary on the fly to add and skip stops to suit us. We opted for a taxi from the Marriott County Hall to the Tower of London to save time, walked everywhere else but chose to ride the Tube once since we hadn’t yet, and finished with Westminster Abbey. My Apple Watch distance was higher because we walked more after the tour, but I’d guess we walked about 5 miles on the tour. Very doable because it was broken up. We wanted to see and learn about London, but also wanted a casual, flexible day. Liz gave us exactly that!

The best thing was traveling by bus and Underground. We toured the Tower and Westminster. 9 year old was primed and enjoyed it.

We toured the Westminster Abby and the Tower of London. Our guide, Mark, was fantastic. He was incredibly detailed in his work xplanation and knowledge of historical facts and fiction, which was great. He was both informative and entertaining for us all, including our kids, age 15, 12, and 9. So those are tough ages to keep involved, and he did so expertly. We had a great time and saw all the touristy things of London, which was great a once in lifetime event for our kids.

We did a family trip to London and the only thing we had planned for the week was the Harry Potter Warner Brothers tour. I contacted Gio and he planned the entire week for us. Two walking tours around London, day trip to Stonehenge and Bath, day trip to Windsor Castle and Hampton Court and airport pickup and return. We stayed at the Marriott County Hall because of location and my Platinum status. Great location within walking distance of sites and restaurants. Due to my status we also received free breakfast as well as Lounge access for free drinks and snacks. We did not have to really think much on this trip. Our guides met us at our hotel lobby and we were off from there. Lunch locations were prearranged (we paid at time of service) and all sites were already prepaid so no standing in line. I tried to arrange the trip myself reading suggestions online but I wanted VIP service where point a to point b was covered for me. Highly recommend Private London Tours! By the way I found them through AMEX Platinum Travel. They gave me 3 companies and after receiving proposals Private London Tours offered the best package….and I only did this less than 2 weeks before our trip! All guides are Blue Badge certified. BIG shout out to Gavin and Mike. Those two were fantastic!!

I highly recommend this tour company. We had a great time with our guide, Gavin. Not only is he a ton of fun and very engaging, he is full of knowledge and interesting stories from history. We will be back for another visit with Private Tours of London!! My daughter can’t wait to go back. We did the walking tour or London, Windsor Castle and British Museum.

Gavin was our tour guide and he was fabulous. Not only were we able to personalize our day to see what we want, Gavin was full of information. It was so much better not just seeing the sites but learning the history and they stories. Because of Gavin we were at the right place at the right time to see the King drive by. My family and I booked the full walking tour of London with Gavin. We found the itinerary exceptionally flexible; Gavin was delighted to take us to see any number of monuments or locations that we sought to view outside of the original plan. We ended up spending a good amount of time in the used book district, where he was keen to warn us when a vendor seemingly attempted to low-ball and manipulate us. It was an excellent tour that I'd thoroughly recommend.

We took the full day walking tour this week. Gavin was an exceptional tour guide! We covered a lot of ground and his insights and knowledge of at every stop was phenomenal. We were able to see 2 different changing of the guards (St. James and Tower of London). Everything was very walkable, we did take a taxi from the Abbey to the Tower to save a little time. Do yourself a favor and book this tour!

Gio, the Company Director, was so helpful in setting up the perfect tours for us. We started off with the Private Custom Walking Tour, but added two more days, Hampton Court and a Borough Market. We had three different guides, Chris, Janice and Gavin and enjoyed each one of them very much. We can't wait to return to London and will definitely connect with Gio again. The beauty of each tour was it was customized to our taste and desires.

Fantastic guide! So knowledgeable, and very good at adapting the tour despite the very special circumstances regarding the passing of the Queen. I highly recommend this tour if you want to get a lot of information in a short amount of time, and also get to know some hidden gems such as pubs and where to get tickets for musicals etc.

What a wonderful experience this was for our group of 7. After communicating with Gio over more than 2 years and numerous cancellations, changes and suggestions, we finally made it to London. We had the most excellent tour guide, Alex, who showed us the sights of London as well as Westminster, Hampton Court and Windsor Castle over 3 days. We went on many other private shore excursions while on a cruise of the British Isles during this time, but this was the best. Our time with Alex was fun, informative and memorable. She is very knowledgeable and patient. Our coaches were clean and big enough to hold us and all our luggage. It cost a little more than some of the other shore excursions, but well worth it. I would highly recommend Private London Tours.

Trip to London with our granddaughter was greatly enhanced by spending the day with Jonathan. The commentary was good, no waiting in lines and transportation between sites was ready and waiting. Well worth the money…and certainly a highlight of our London visit.

We had a customised day tour of London for 2 adults and 2 children aged 9 and 11. Communication was fantastic from the moment of booking with Gio taking a real interest in our children's wish list and making other suggestions to the itinerary. Our tour guide was Flic and we could not rate her highly enough. Flic was engaging and had a level of knowledge that demonstrated the time and effort she had invested in preparing for our tour. We absolutely appreciated having Flic to guide us around the Tower of London directing us to interesting parts and telling us about the history. We travelled on the tube several times including the new Elizabeth line, seen filming locations for Paddington & Harry Potter and went on the London Eye. There were many other facts and stories shared through our tour and we would not hesitate to arrange another tour with Private London Tours and Flic.

We customized 2 days of private tours for our group of 7 with ages ranging from 84 to 13. It was a wonderful and memorable experience. The communication was frequent both before and after the tours. Day 2 included Windsor castle and Hampton court. Again, fabulous tour guide and driver. We learned so much and saw so much by being with this private tour. Worth every penny (pound 😎). We had a wonderful day with Emily as our guide. At our request we saw The Tower of London, Westminster Abbey and The Churchill War Room. We got more than this as Emily showed as things along the way, even weaving us through many celebrative Londoners so that we could be a part of the Queen’s Jubilee celebration. Emily proved to be warm and knowledgeable. We had a special and memorable day and much of that was because of Emily!

This was my husband and my first trip to London, and we didn’t want to be on what we call “cattle call” tours. We wanted to make it a personal experience and Private London Tours and Gio delivered in ways that went above and beyond our expectations. Working with Gio ahead of time was easy and he even helped with things that weren’t “tour” related since we knew very little about London. We did five days of private tours with Gavin, Georgie, and Michael and we loved them all. Each guide was warm, open, and very knowledgeable. What we valued most was that Gio worked with us ahead of time to find out our interests and convey this to each guide. This allowed the guides to know we were going to take lots of pictures (photography is a hobby of ours) and my husband was going to talk history. We started out with the Imperial War Museum with Michael. My husband is very into WWII history and Michael had the passion to match. Michael and he talked up a storm about both the British view of WWII and the American view. We learned a lot about the blitz and how London and Londoners survived. Gavin was our guide on two different days. The first was the changing of the guards, Westminster Abby, Churchill War Rooms, and West London walking tour. Gavin went above and beyond by not only taking us to the beginning of the changing to the guards at St. James Court for great photos, but as soon as they were marching towards Buckingham Palace, he took us to a second vantage point so we could get photos of the new guards coming out of the barracks. While this was a long day with a lot of information, we had so much fun with Gavin time seemed to fly. The second day with Gavin included Stonehenge inner circle tour and Bath. Gavin once again delivered not only history, but also a caring and genuine interest in us making it seem we were seeing the sights with an old friend instead of a guide. Windsor Castle and Hampton Court with Georgie was another great day. Georgie was able to answer all our questions as we toured both sites, but what made it most enjoyable is Georgie herself. She is enthusiastic about history and making sure we had the best time. Georgie was so excited that the Queen was in residence at Windsor Castle the day we toured, and this excitement just radiated to all we did throughout the day. Hampton Court was just as exciting to Georgie, and she made sure we knew all the tidbits of information about King Henry VIII which made it even more relatable. I could go on and on about each of the guides and how wonderful they were. While there were all different, each one made us feel we were with old friends not just another person they were guiding. We did have a hiccup with the day we did the Tower of London and the Borourgh Food Tour, but it was quickly remedied by Gio, so this doesn’t change our view that touring London with Private London Tours is the best experience you could have in London. We will use Private London Tours again when we return to London without question.

We took a full day tour of London. Admittedly, we were ambitious in that we wanted to see a lot in one day. Gio tailored a tour for us and it was great! Dani, our tour guide, had a lot of energy and an incredible amount of knowledge. It was a long day, but she never stopped telling us stories of the history behind the locations. I even asked her some questions just to mess with her to see if she could answer and she always knew the answer! It was a great day and my family was very happy. I highly recommend the company and Dani as your guide.

Gavin was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable about all things London and focused on the topics we suggested when we first set up the tour. We got the inside view of history from a 5th generation Londoner (especially about his family’s experiences during the two great wars). Our 14 year old daughter said it was a great day … the best part of the day was the tour guide!

Fabulous guide and driver! The guide, Dani, was so informative and enthusiastic. How she could remember all the history and anecdotes is beyond me! Really fabulous and worth every penny. Don’t tour the sights of London with them!

The British Museum 3. Hampton Court with a private car They are all 5+ stars! Our guides were knowledgable and personable. They engaged our 10.5 year old daughter and focused on things that were of interest to her. My husband and I have both visited London many times and we learned many things as well. The guides were so much more than someone who had merely completed a course; they were truly experts and were able to translate that expertise into a presentation that appealed to all three members of our family. It was so easy to be able to make all arrangements through Gio and not have to worry about the timing of booking individual entrances to each site. There were a few sights we weren't able to visit on this trip and I look forward to using Private London Tours again soon!
