Itinerary
The tour begins at Trafalgar Square, the city centre of London. Here we can admire Nelsons Column, maybe take a photo with one of the Lions protecting Lord Nelson.
Walking towards Whitehall, to see where the Prime Minister lives and works. This is also our chance to look around at the many war memorials, hear stories from your guide about the past conflicts that these monuments represent.
Westminster Abbey, this famous church is recognisable from various famous royal weddings, funerals and coronations, it’s hard to ignore the history here! We’ll enter through the cloisters, a great opportunity to appreciate both the age and the scale of this magnificent building. Look around as we walk into the church, you will see many names, some of these you will recognise immediately, others you may remember once your guide links them with stories. Next let’s have a look at one of the oldest pieces of furniture in the United Kingdom. Last used in 1953, the chair patiently waits for the next coronation. Making our way around the church, we will find the sites of many Royal burials around the High alter. Two sisters, step sisters, both Queens but very different personalities. In life they weren’t very fond of each other, yet in death, they are buried here in the same tomb. Westminster Abbey has so much to offer and we will spend about 90 mins here before we move on.
Can you recognise if Her Majesty is home? Buckingham Palace sometimes comes with the chance to see changing of the guards. During certain days and fair weather, we can join the Regiments marching from their Barracks to the Palace. If the guard change is cancelled, don’t panic! This is London, there is always time for traditional pageantry. The horse guards are just around the corner, they are inspected every day, rain or shine.
Walking down The Mall offers a very regal feel and is also a great spot for spectacular pictures. Maybe one palace isn’t enough? St James’s Palace is waiting close by, offering more stories about the Royal Family. If you’ve had enough the Royals, let’s stop by St James’s Park, a beautiful area of serenity in the middle of the city. This is also a great opportunity to spot some local wildlife, with a huge variety of birds and squirrels calling this park home.
Heading now to Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, this provides a great opportunity for iconic pictures of these world renowned sites. How many statues of famous statesman can you recognise? Your Guide will be happy to explain who some of them were and their significance in British history. Next lets ride the bus or tube through the financial district, known as the City of London. This is an ideal opportunity to compare differing architectural styles, both old and new.
Now we visit the area around St Paul’s Cathedral, another beautiful church with its own unique history. Built in just 35 years by one architect in a consistent style, its position in this part of the London skyline is protected by law. Lets walk around the church yard to appreciate this vast structure. Your guide will show you the best spots to take a picture of this church, whether it’s from the Millennium Bridge or the roof terrace at One New Change. There are plenty of places to eat here and its the perfect time to break for lunch. Fancy fish and chips in one of the local pubs?
Lets now continue our journey east towards the Tower of London, a medieval fortress surrounded by modern architecture. We explore this castle both inside and out, meeting the famous ravens of the tower, seeing the Crown Jewels and hearing all the gory stories about this Palace throughout the years. Beefeater, is not just a brand of a gin, it's another name for the Yeoman Warders. You can't miss them, they are always around, proudly wearing their uniforms and always happy to pose for a quick photo.
On exiting the Tower we will have a spectacular view, of the world famous Tower Bridge. Your tour finishes here and your guide will assist you with directions or help you find a taxi to your next adventure. Your tour itinerary will be finalised on the day to make the most of the events on offer and prevailing weather conditions.

Lucy was our guide for Eight hours walking through London to see amazing sights. Her knowledge of the history and the stories that went with each one of these places was phenomenal and fun! She was such a joy to be with! We asked to add going inside Saint Paul's Cathedral. It was extra for the tour. After we paid for that part of the edition, she took us up to the whisper walk and down to the catacombs and gave us a tremendous history. It was fabulous in addition to everything else. Westminster Abbey stories and history were amazing! Her tour of The Tower of London and all of the stories of the 2 boys and the castle and the executions and the kings and successions, and then the explanation of what we would see in the crown jewels were such fun. And so interesting. And Ben, one of the Beefeaters and a good friend of Lucy's made our day with pictures and laughs and stories. We got the inside scoop on what it means to be one of these residential protectors. It's the tower of london. I highly recommend this tour! It is not cheap, yet, it is worth every penny!
Lucy was FANTASTIC! We were late coming from our cruise and she was very accommodating. She is very knowledgeable and has a wonderful way of storytelling.
Our best tour! Lucy was so knowledgeable and made sure we understood what we were seeing and its connection to history. Fully accessible for wheelchair.
Jess is an amazing tour guide! She had a lot of good stories and really made sure to make time for the things we wanted to see and helped us navigate the city.
Wonderful tour. Learned so much. Tour guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this tour.
Great tour, lots of walking but covered great sites and our guide Jess was very knowledgeable. Would recommend for knocking out lots of London sites in a single day.
I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Westminster Abbey. We spent enough time to get the highlights and not feel rushed. The guide, Galina, was thorough and informative. She was very professional and made sure to time everything thoroughly while checking about our comfort and needs. You will be happy you did this tour with her.
our tour guide was awesome and the day was so great. Westminster Abbey was absolutely the best. The whole tour fit exactly what we wanted to be able to fit in in one day in London. And it was 72°.
We had a private tour with Lucy and she was the best guide we had in all London. She was so knowledgeable, pleasant and we highly recommend her. She arrived early as did we, and we finished up a bit early.
Lucy was an excellent guide! We loved our tour with her. She made us laugh - and cry - with her stories. We highly recommend this tour and Lucy as a guide! We even got to meet a Beefeater! Such a fun and educational day!
Picked up at hotel- transported in cab while Marina entertained us with an educational card game- fabulous! With our characters integrated throughout her conversations- making history more memorable. Personalized experience, educational and fun!
Marina was an excellent, extremely knowledgeable guide. She accommodated our request to tour St. Paul’s Cathedral even though it was not in the tour description. Highly recommend!
Marina provided an excellent, fun, and informative experience during our tour of Westminster, Parliament Square, the London Tower, and other sites. She answered our many questions and kept the tour enjoyable for the kids, even using a deck of cards to help teach the curious history of royalty. We highly recommend Marina for others who want to learn about British history from a kind, patient, and knowledgeable guide.
With Marina as a tour guide you can not go wrong she was a wealth of knowledge and a absolute great person to have show us around.
The experience was enlightening. Mariana was so professional and personable - especially thoughtful as we created an otherwise challenge with a wheelchair in a busy venue. We were not rushed but fully allowed to absorb the historical relevance of the sites.
Denise was fantastic. She took us to all the major highlights in London. She had everything timed just right to get to see the Royal Guards parade. I would recommend this excursion for anyone who really wants to see & learn about London.
So much knowledge one would otherwise have no idea about! Galina was our guide and was #1 in all respects!
Galina was very knowledgeable and we had an amazing time. We spent a full day together exploring London.
Lucy was amazing! So well informed and pleasant to chat with. I would highly recommend her and will request her next time we’re in London.
Great tour. Lucy, our guide, was very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of London and the monarchy. She was able to cover a lot of ground, while also giving us time for breaks with the kids. She was very helpful in navigating the Changing of the Guard, and knew just where to stand and what the best time was to see all of the places to avoid crowds.
BEYOND INCREDIBLE!!!!! Wonderful, relaxing, rich, diverse experience seeing all of the highlights London has to offer in a private, relaxed tour with Denisa!!! The day one tours, depends on what you will experience - we toured on a FRIDAY which gave us front row seats to The Changing of the Guards, less crowds, and the ability to walk right into the Westminster Abbey, Tower of London, the Parks, everywhere! The great thing about this tour, and this tour guide - Denisa - is that our tour was curated to our tastes, what we wanted to do, what we wanted to see. I simply emailed Denisa indicating what we wanted to see, and she made it happen! We did not wait for tickets, she had them for us. We did not wait in lines, with her credentials, we were able to walk right in. It was a super fun day, everyone in our family learned so much from the tour, Denisa's expertise, and had an incredible time!!!! So worth it, if you have a half of day in London to tour!!!!!! Thank you so much, Denisa!!! You are AMAZING!!!! :) We had the BEST TIME because of you!!!!
Amber was fantastic! Kept my daughters (13 and 10) engaged the whole time. Sights were great and tour was very informative.
Our guide, Galinda was informative, enjoyable, acccomdating. Both my teen and myself had a wonderful day.
Excellent tour. Lucy our tour guide was very knowledgeable and was an expert in this field. We learned so much.
In all honesty this has been the best tour I've taken ever. Galina, our tour guide was wonderful!!! She was right on time, very knowledgeable, handled time perfectly, and was super nice. All the information provided was interesting and out of the box; even though she also knew the history behind the every monument and sight. We wanted to see a couple more places in the route that were not included in thenitinerary and Galina went out of her way to please us. She integrated my daughter to the conversations and was always attentive to her. Wonderful tour and wonderful guide!!!
Our day with Galena was wonderful. Her knowledge of history and the locations we visited is incredible. We started at Westminster Abbey where Galena made sure we saw everything important and guided us efficiently through the crowds. We took the tube and stopped at St. Paul’s which was a beautiful area with more history and stories. We enjoyed our tour of London Tower and Galena’s knowledge and storytelling kept us engaged all afternoon. Having a private tour with a knowledgeable guide is the way to go for these two historical sites. We would’ve been overwhelmed and wasted a lot of time on our own. Highly recommend!
A full day seeing the best of London! Our guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. We would recommend this to anyone visiting London.
Ben did a fabulous job with our tour navigating multiple street closures due to VE Day celebrations. This was my husband’s first visit to London and he thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Though I had been to Westminster Abbey and the Tower of London decades ago - Ben’s expert knowledge made it a fresh experience with much more depth of meaning. Highly recommend this tour with Ben.
Our guide Lucy was the best! We thoroughly enjoyed the day. We learned so much about English history and loved the tour!
Our guide Lucy was so knowledgeable and insightful. She combined the history of the monarchy into a beautiful narrative while seeing the sights.
This tour was amazing! It was myself and 21 year old twins and we loved seeing all the sites of London in a private setting. Our guide Marina was extremely knowledgeable and super friendly. We really enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend this for anybody.
We went for a 2-day tour with Marina that covered pretty much all the sites in London. Marina was a fantastic tour guide, who is knowledgeable, patient, and kind. At every site, she took time to provide detailed, fun, and in-depth history and context related to the different building, artefacts, and personalities. The tour was organized by Denisa, who was very flexible, responsive, and friendly. If you want a bespoke experience that covers all the key sites in London, and come away with much more appreciation and understanding of the city, then this tour is definitely for you.
From start to finish, Denisa was amazing and so knowledgeable! This tour will forever be one of my favorite memories of our trip to London!
Tour guide was excellent, thorough, patient and very knowledgable. Perfect day. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and so sweet! She was very patient with us, one of the party was Having knee issues.
Ben made our day just perfect. He was very accommodating and told us about a great pub to have lunch at. We can’t say enough about what a great job Ben did.
Excellent Tour by Lucy. Catered to our requests. Incredibly insightful and the stories added great intrigue to the day long tour.
Marina was worth every penny. She knew where to be when to get the best views. Her knowledge was both broad and deep. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with her.
We had a wonderful experience with Ben our tour guy, we started at Westminster Abbey then we did a couple of the parks, followed by watching the changing of the guards, super cool. We took the tube to go towards the Tower of London where we enjoyed a delicious lunch and then we toured the Tower of London were we spend some time and learned all the history behind it. We also got to watch the Changing of the Word. Wow so impressive. It was definitely worth every minute.
The Crown Jewels were absolutely amazing!!! Our tour guide Marina was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed all she had to share! Highly recommend this tour and our guide Marina.
Lucy was a fabulous guide bringing to life the historical events of London with her gifted story telling skills. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and our time with Lucy. She was a wealth of knowledge with a super fun and engaging personality. Highly recommend!
Trudy was one of the BEST tour guides ever!!! I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. She brought so many stories to life. She was attentive to our children and patient with our large family. We thoroughly enjoyed our day!
Our tour guide Denise was excellent Not only was she knowledgeable she gave us interesting insights Get tickets to go inside St. Paul’s cathedral. So beautiful Denise pointed things out that we would have just passed over Also go to London bridge after the towers Thanks Denise you make a day in London a memorable experience
Great experience. Marina was awesome. Incredibly knowledgeable about British history and the locations. Saw a ton of stuff and it was all great!
Our family thoroughly enjoyed this guided tour of London. Denisa was a fabulous guide. The tour started at Westminster Abbey and took us the expected destinations; Parliament, Big Ben, we got to see a shift change of the Horse Guards. We walked through the St James Park to Buckingham Palace. Westminster was closed to tourists on this day, so Denisa substituted a tour of the Cabinet War Rooms. This is where Churchill coordinated the British war efforts of WW2. Pretty cool, as I am a bit of a war/history buff. After a nice lunch at an authentic British Pub, it was a quick tube ride to the Tower of London. Lots of history there as the grounds purpose has changed many times over the years. We witnessed a changing of the Tower Guard and checked out the Crown Jewels. Our tour ended there and even our kids were satisfied.
Our guide, Marina, was exceptional. Her knowledge of London’s history and landmarks was extensive, and she shared it with enthusiasm and charm. Marina's ability to weave historical facts with entertaining anecdotes kept us (my wife, 13 yo twins, and me) engaged throughout the entire day. She was also very attentive, ensuring everyone was comfortable and had their questions answered. If you’re lucky enough to get booked with her, it’ll be worth every penny.
There was not a minute that we didn't enjoy this. Highly recommended! Marina was a fabulous guide who seemed to know everything, right down to the perfect time to see the Crown Jewels.
We loved this tour! Our guide Marina was so knowledgeable about Westminster Abbey, Tower of London, and the city in general. She had a detailed answer to all our questions and made everything so interesting that even our kids were continually engaged during the tour. She took us to a number of other places of interest and filled the day very efficiently. And she was so friendly she made it a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We highly recommend this tour!
Great to have a private tour and go at your own pace. Our Tour guide Lucy was amazing and so knowledgeable. We saw everything we wanted to see. Plenty of time for pictures.
