Lucy did an absolutely amazing job. Her knowledge, personality and willingness to adjust to our preferences made this one of our best tours of our week in London. Would love to take another tour with Lucy in the future.

Itinerary
We start our tour at Westminster Abbey, this famous church is recognisable from various famous royal weddings, funerals and coronations, it’s hard to ignore the history here! We’ll enter through the cloisters, a great opportunity to appreciate both the age and the scale of this magnificent building. Look around as we walk into the church, you will see many names, some of these you will recognise immediately, others you may remember once your guide links them with stories. Next let’s have a look at one of the oldest pieces of furniture in the United Kingdom. Last used in 1953, the chair patiently waits for the next coronation. As we pause to admire the coronation chair, listen as your guide paints a picture of the coronation ceremony, imagine the spectacle each time a new monarch is crowned in this very spot. Making our way around the church, we will find the sites of many Royal burials around the High alter. Two sisters, step sisters, both Queens but very different personalities. In life they weren’t very fond of each other, yet in death, they are buried here in the same tomb. Ladies Chapel shows you the hight level of a gothic style with its beautiful fan vaulted ceiling. Now it is time to check out Poets corner and find your favourite writer or a poet. Westminster Abbey has so much to offer and we will spend about 2 hours before we move on.
As we leave the Abbey, we arrive immediately into Parliament square, this a great opportunity to take a picture in front of houses of Parliament. How many statues of famous statesman can you recognise? Your Guide will be happy to explain who some of them were and their significance in British history.
This being London, there is always time for traditional pageantry. The horse guards are just around the corner. Here we see the Guards, proudly siting on their horses keeping this royal area safe. They are inspected every day, rain or shine. Time for another quick picture? Watch out though the horses can bite!
Leaving the famous buildings behind for a moment let’s wander through St James Park. Home to not only a lovely display of plants and flowers but also many birds. Any ornithologist would be in heaven here, black swans, white swans, pelicans, geese and many more species call St James Park their home. If you have children in your group then let’s take a few minutes to stop and feed the birds and the ever hungry squirrels!
Our next stop needs little introduction, Buckingham palace, a grand building and royal residence. If we get close to the gate, you will see the guards looking after her majesty. Your guide will help you figure out if Her Majesty is at home today. Perhaps you’d like a photo next to one of the most famous sights in the world?
We finish our tour on Trafalgar square, the very city centre of London. From here you are ideally placed to visit Leicester square and Covent Garden. Your guide Will be happy to help with any directions and suggestions for the rest of your stay.

Fantastic Private Tour with Lucy Learned so much history with our guide, perfect amount of walking. Fun!!
My Dad has always wanted to see Westminster Abbey, so I arranged a tour for just the two of us. I knew my Dad would have a lot of questions! Dan was an amazing tour guide! He was patient and knew so much about the monarchy, the abbey's history, and London in general. He also has a wicked sense of humor! Thanks for a great experience, Dan!
Ben was awesome! Funny, very articulate, and knowledgeable. Gave us far more information than we would have gotten had we done the self-guided tour. Little known items such as the story behind the Newton and Hawking markings probably would have been missed had we depended on the self-guided tour. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Marina was amazing and kept the whole family engaged! She is so knowledgeable and patient. We loved her and will try to request her next time!
We had a delightful time with Denisa! She was very knowledgeable and made the tour so pleasant. We appreciate the time she took with us showing this amazing piece of history.
This is a walking tour with history and a chance to ask questions. We saw parliament, changing of the guards, Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey. Guide was amazing at navigating to avoid crowds and maximize our time. Very knowledgable!
Marina was an outstanding, knowledgeable tour guide! She helped us understand the importance and history of all the places we visited. Her story telling made the history of the locations come alive! I definitely recommend this tour and Marina!
We unfortunately had travel issues and missed a part of this experience, but guide Denisa did not let us down! She demonstrated welcoming flexibility offering us several options to reschedule. Our time with her in the Tower of London was one of favorite days in London. Denisa is a fabulous storyteller that will keep you entertained and learning for hours. A true professional at what she does... and even reveals her subtle sense of humor on occasion ;-) Thanks Denisa for a wonderful afternoon.
Lucy was absolutely delightful ! As a guide she is unsurpassed. She had a fantastic balance of personality & character, along with an abundance of detailed knowledge and passion. You knew she loved her work based on the manner in which she was dressed. A proper cape, signage & skirt. Throughout she checked to see if we needed clarification or wanted to see anything in particular. A beautiful memory !
This was my favorite tour during my 5 days in London. Lucy greeted us in the rain with the happiest personality and designed the tour to maximize what we wanted to see. Her knowledge about the Abbey and surrounding area was incredible and made our experience amazing.
Denisa was an absolute delight. So knowledgeable and friendly, we felt like we were walking around London with a friend.
Best tour I have ever taken. Our tour guide Lucy was simply extraordinary. She was extremely knowledgeable and added so much to our experience. We don't always do private tours, but this is a good place to do one and get around some of the bigger crowds. Absolutely wonderful!
Truly an amazing experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable. Westminster Abbey was absolutely breathtaking.
Private tour of Westminster Abbey and walking tour of surrounding area with view of guards and gardens. Fabulous attention from our tour guide Marina who was kind and knowledgeable! Highly recommend her for a great day! The way she navigated things we never felt like there were big crowds around or had to wait for things.
Galina was a great tour guide, very informative and open to making the tour as suitable for us as possible
Lucy was such a superb guide. She knew so much, and was knowledgable professional and so kind to my mother and I as this was our first trip to London. It really makes a difference having a guide. One day my mom and I went to buckingham palace alone to see the front of the palace and we got totally lost. We had booked the Westminister Abbey tour the next day and it was so amazing and a contrast to our day by ourselves. Lucy took us on the tube (we had never done this!) and we got to westminister abbey and she spent much time talking about the church, and went into depth about royalty and the rich English history. I had no idea so many famous people like Newton, and Queen Elizabeth the first, are buried in Westminister. Mother and I were very impressed with Lucy and her knowledge. In addition, she was kind enough after Westminister to take us to Parliament Square, St James Park and walk to Buckingham Palace (the front of it). This time, having her (as compared to the day prior when we did not), made our visit to the grounds of Buckingham Palace (the outside only) more memorable because she told us about Clarence House, the statue of Queen Victoria, and other details of the outside of the Palace we had no idea of. We also were in better spirits because we felt like we were learning so much and getting more from our trip with having a guide like Lucy. We feel really lucky to have had Lucy as our guide. Thank you so much Lucy you made our trip and impression of England so wonderful.
We so loved and appreciated this tour and experience, we’ll remember and treasure it forever! Dan was the best guide, so knowledgeable and answered all our questions!
Galena was very informative. She was kind and attentive throughout the tour. I learned so much about the area. Would not hesitate to book another tour.
Lucy did an amazing job. She fit the tour to what we cared about. Highly recommend. It is obvious she cares about her career and it shows in her actions.
Our tour guide Denisa was exceptional. She was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our many questions with thorough and thoughtful information. She knew how to maximize our time and avoid the crowds. Highly recommend this private tour experience!
Best tour guide in the world and definitely in London. Would recommend to anyone who wants a great tour experience.
Denisa was an excellent guide. She was a font of information on Westminster Abbey and nearby sites. A highlight was her positioning us in a perfect spot to see King Charles in his Rolls Royce leaving his residence.
Uour guide was the same as the day before and got to know my family well and our interests, She captured some essential facts on the Abbey and made them memorable.
Our guide, Catherine was awesome, funny, & extremely knowledgeable and helpful. we had a great time with her.

Ainura was a wonderful tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and personable. We had a great experience and highly recommend this private walking tour.
Astonishing! Lucy was cheerful, enthusiastic, historically passionate and a joy to spend the tour with! Very informative!
It was too long - history lesson. Very informative but just too long in the abbey. Guide was very knowledgeable would not recommend to older folks or families with young children.
Our Tour with Trudy was amazing. She’s a delightful person who made the experience at Westminster really memorable. She knows the history so well and really helped us understand everything we saw. She was funny and energetic and full of great stories about the Abbey. Highly recommend this tour and especially Trudy.
Our guide, “I” was amazing. She went out of her way to answer and explain any questions we had. She was very knowledgeable and professional. Would ask for her again.
Wonderful tour. Our guide Ainara was most knalegeble and attentive. It was a defiantly a highlight of our trip to London
We did our tour with Lucy and after taking dozens of private tours in dozens of cities with private tour guides, by far Lucy has been the best! Lucy was prompt, professional, super accommodating, and of course most knowledgeable. Brava Lucy!!!
Our tour guide was fabulous!! Highly recommend!!! Very informative and kept my teens very interested!!!
Certainly one of the most amazing experiences in London. A building more than a thousand years old and adored by Christians to this day. One of the most important buildings in the UK. Much wealth in gold.
Muy buena experiencia. Nuestra guía conocía mucho e hizo muy agradable el tour. Buena forma de conocer más sobre Londres y la monarquía.
