Private Half-day Tour Of Windsor Castle

Mark was outstanding - gave us really good insight to what we were going to see on the way as well us descibing the history of what we were looking at.

We had a great guide in Mark! He knew great photo spots and extra bits of info about Windsor. Travel to and from was all taken care of for us from hotel and back

Mark is an excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable and a great conversationalist. He greeted us at our hotel in a beautiful Mercedes and our drive to Windsor Castle was most enjoyable. Once we arrived at the castle he led us to the various points of interest and provided expert commentary. Upon the conclusion of our visit to the castle he led us through the charming Windsor High Street back to the car for our return to our hotel. Could not have been better! 🥳🥳🥳

We had a fantastic guided tour that started with our driver/guide Gareth picking us up from our Airbnb. Gareth is extremely professional and personable. The tour of the chapel, state apartments and the grounds was amazing. Gareth was incredibly knowledgeable and guided us at a pace that was sensitive to one of our family member’s mobility challenges. This guided tour was the highlight of our stay in London.

Our guide was knowledgeable and helpful and the private transportation was essential given the crowds. We saw all the highlights and had a nice lunch in town. Only negative was we invited our guide to join us for lunch and he started talking politics with us … ugh .., we travelled to get away from that. Anyway we nodded and ignored him. Otherwise a great day.

Our tour at Windsor Castle could not have been better. Our guide was knowledgeable and pleasant and fun to be with. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who has the slightest interest in English history or the royal family.

Gareth our tour driver and guide arrived early and patiently waited for us. Gareth provided excellent information and had an excellent knowledge of all things. He was extremely helpful and very friendly and explained many things on the journey. At the castle he guided us through each section and was able to point out specific. Things we would have missed. He was extremely helpful and patient with my husband who struggled with the walking around the castle. Gareth was very good and waited with us for rest breaks. An absolutely great day out and an excellent tour guide.

Excellent tour by Gareth! Starting with a seamless pickup at our hotel and an educational ride to Windsor…Gareth was an excellent host for the day. He spent time giving us a thorough tour of the castle making sure our teenage boys stayed engage and we ended the tour with a nice stroll through the town of Windsor. We had an amazing half day tour to Windsor Castle with Mark. From the moment we got into his vehicle, which was spotless. He was engaging, friendly and full of information. He took plenty of pictures of our family and supplied us with lots of antidotes as well as history. I cannot speak Highly enough of him. If you are looking for a top-notch guide, Mark is the one.

This was one of the best tours I’ve ever had! Our amazing tour guide Mark made it easy on my parents and me (in our jet-lagged state) by picking us up from our hotel in his luxurious private car. He went on to share so much knowledge with us en route to Windsor. When we got there we watched the changing of the guards — it was all perfectly timed! Once inside the grounds Mark accompanied us through St. George’s and the estate rooms, providing us with a wealth of historical information to digest at our leisurely pace. The day flew by and really couldn’t have gone any better! If you have a chance to take this tour you won’t regret it. In fact, it’s sure to be a highlight of your London travels. Really enjoyable visit with my older mother and college aged daughter. Initially a slight snag as booked with another family ( which would have been fine), Went above and beyond to accommodate us and make it all work. Ended up having a private tour after all, Had. friendly sweet driver ( Walter) who was very kind. Has a wonderfully pleasant and knowledgable guide ( Sian) who we enjoyed so much. She gave so much information not just about history, the castle and the times but shared much about present times in England. We just had a wonderful visit and day. Thanks so much . We just got done having the most amazing day with Mark! Absolutely hilarious and so knowledgeable! We toured Windsor Castle then made our way around town. My wife and I will definitely make sure to use Mark when we come back to London!!

This was an absolutely fantastic tour. Mark is an amazing driver and guide. He is very knowledgeable. He was great with my 17y.o. and 15y.o. He answered all of our questions and really brought the castle to life. I would highly recommend this tour. My mother, daughter and I enjoyed our time with Mark immensely! He was personable, knowlegeable and had wonderful information and stores to tell! He found a shady spot for my mom to watch the changing of the guard, which pleased her greatly! We invited Mark to join us for a delicious meal at one of the local pubs, which gave us more time to absorb Mark's knowledge. Plenty of time to explore Windsor Castle and town, with a nice walk to the river. We will definitely call on Mark the next time we are in London!

My 2 grandsons, aged 11 and 2, and myself spent the day touring Windsor Castle today. Mark, our guide is extremely personable and knowledgeable. He tailored this tour to keep it interesting for both my grandsons and myself. His knowledge of the castle and history make for a fascinating day. From the marching guards to St. George’s hall Mark kept our interest. We all learned from out tour. At the end of our tour we also fed the swans which my grandsons really enjoyed. If i could give this tour 10 stars I would. If you are looking for a tour of Windsor Castle this is the one to do!
