I highly recommend Barry Tours UK. We had a lovely tour of Windsor with Barry, who provided a lot of local commentary and historical context. He managed to get us fast-tracked from the long lines to optimize our time. Unbeknownst to us, we were amidst history in the making as King Charles hosted President Zelensky at Windsor Castle while we explored the State Apartments. In the afternoon, we enjoyed a leisurely lunch in Windsor, at a pub on the River Thames. On the way back to London, we made a historic stop at Runnymede, which is not to be missed. Barry was warm, friendly, engaged in his work and quite exceptional.

Barry is a great host for touring London and surrounding areas. He is very accommodating and brings a lot of personal history to the areas we visited. He made every detail (including pictures) of the trip easy and convenient and even made personal reservations for us at a great restaurant on the Thames. We plan on utilizing him again for the next trip to London!

Barry was incredibly knowledgeable, funny and accommodating when he spent the day with our family of 5. He thoughtfully planned our itinerary so that there were no surprises and kept the attention of an 18, 16 and 10 year old simultaneously! We will book him again for our next visit for sure.

My family enjoyed the private Windsor tour with Barry in his London black cab. It was a perfect day! As a London black cab driver, Barry is an iconic, highly trained professional who has passed the rigorous exam to memorize thousands of streets and landmarks. His amazing knowledge was on display during our detailed, personal tour through London on the way there and back and in Windsor castle, Windsor, Eton and Kensington gardens. Barry, hearing that we had just seen Paddington the musical and were big fans, made a quick photo stop at a Paddington bear statue with an iconic phone booth in the background before dropping us home as an extra bonus. He took lots of great family photos throughout the day and made the entire experience very memorable!

5 star guided tour!! Barry is super knowledgeable about Windsor and the Castle. In fact he’s a wealth of knowledge on a lot of topics, some you’ll see in the history books and some you won’t! Barry also gave us a great tour of Belgravia on the way out to Windsor. We also had my 83 year old mum with us and she was getting a bit tired and he took extremely good care of her. We finished up the tour with a fab lunch at the boatman and stopped off to see where the Magna Carta was signed in Runnymede. Highly recommend Barry Tours !!

We booked the private Windsor tour with Barry, who picked us up at our hotel. Barry was very informative and an excellent tour guide, he even took photos of our group at key locations throughout the day. For lunch, Barry had reserved us a spot at the Boatman restaurant in which the food was delicious! Overall, I would highly recommend Barry and his tour for when you visit London. Barry did an excellent job and we were very happy. Due to a State Dinner Windsor castle was closed unexpectedly so Barry was able to shift us to Hampton Court Palace which was just as good. He also drove us by Windsor to see the castle from the outside. He was very knowledgeable and personable. We really enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend him!

Barry provided an outstanding tour experience! We had planned on seeing Windsor castle but due to a state dinner the castle was unexpectedly closed. Barry had an alternate tour ready to go with Hampton Court Palace which was perfect. We really enjoyed seeing the palace and he even added a stop outside Windsor castle so we could see the outside and surrounding village. Barry was highly knowledgeable and very personable. It made for a very good day. Highly recommended!

This was the perfect way to spend a day! Windsor Castle and the town itself are beautiful, and our guide and driver Barry was very knowledgeable and patient answering our many questions. There is a fair bit of walking but it’s all very manageable with Barrynproviding drop off and pick up at all locales. We had lunch at a lovely restaurant on the Thames and then a stop and stroll at Kensington Palace Gardens before being dropped back at our hotel. All in alll we really enjoyed our day and highly recommend the Windsor Castle Tour with Barry as your guide.

Excellent experience with Barry!! He showed up on time at our place and was very knowledgeable about the English history with the castle, along with explaining sites to and from Windsor. He Was great with my two young kids and kept the tour entertaining. Also drops you back off at your residence after a long but fun day! Highly recommend this tour

Our driver/guide, Barry, was excellent, very personable. He came into the castle with us and was our personal guide, explaining the history of everything we were seeing. He picked an excellent place for lunch in Windsor. He paced the day perfectly. We never felt rushed, nor did we feel like there was wasted time. The extra places we visited on the way back rounded out a great day.

We had a great day with Barry Ivens. On the ride out of Landon he took us by Buckingham and gave us information about it. . He also talked about different architecture of the buildings we passed. Inside Windsor castle he was very knowledgeable and gave us extra stories we would not have heard on a group tour. He took several pictures of us at different places. We could not have done this with selfies. When we were done a Windsor he had set up a reservation for lunch at a very nice restaurant on the banks of the Thames river in Windsor town. Barry told us about the town of Windsor as we drove through. On the way back to our hotel in London he took us to Kensington Palace. Again he was very knowledgeable. Definitely worth it to have personal attention. Much more than just a tour of Windsor castle. I highly recommend any tour with Barry.

Bravo! Barry is an outstanding tour guide. His level of service is impeccable. As soon as our tour was booked, he reached out and thanked us for booking with him. He stayed in contact with us and was timely in all responses. Barry is extremely knowledgeable about all things royal and if he was unable to answer he would find someone that could. He took pictures of us throughout our day and shared them with us through WhatsApp. He made sure we were able to see all the places important to us, and even gave us time in the gift shops. Barry was entertaining, knowledgeable and friendly. It was like taking a tour with your friend who lives in London. The fact that he drives a Black Cab was a special treat to us. Barry made our trip out to Windsor castle fun & informative. He was prompt, kind and professional. Even on the drive to/from Windsor he told us about everything of note we were passing along the way. Also, he kept or two young adult boys engaged & laughing…We highly recommend Barry!

We loved this tour! Barry was a terrific driver & guide; engaging, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and flexible. He communicated with us in advance to confirm the details of our trip, flexed 2 days before the tour to add Stonehenge (for an additional fee) when we decided to extend our day; and really knew his way around the crowd, especially at Windsor Castle. Highly recommend him as a guide and driver, for any of his tours; if the others are half as good as this one, they will also be terrific.

Barry was the best tour guide my family ever had. He was incredibly knowledgeable and warm. He was excellent at communicating and teaching my 12 and 15 yo daughters. They thought he was a ton of fun and learned a lot!!!! My husband and I enjoyed the tour as well. His car is impeccably clean. He took photos of us the whole time and sent to us via WhatsApp. Anyone who travels as a family knows what a treat it is to have photos of all of us together! Barry was everything that we had hoped for and provided more than we expected. He was on time, gracious, funny, knowledgeable and generous. The history and facts he knew were outstanding and even the 1 hr ride to Windsor Castle was filled with little historical tidbits that were entertaining and fascinating! Great tour, even better guide! Barry was early to pick us up at our hotel and so we got an early start. He was a careful driver and had stories to tell us about most of the buildings we passed leaving town. With his quick wit and his sense of humor, we were entertained and the trip to Windsor passed quickly. Once at Windsor he dropped us off at the door, and met us inside. We would have walked by many of the treasures with a quick glance without his expert commentary. After we wound our way through the Castle we took a short walk through the town. From there we drove to the site of the signing of the Magna Carta and JFK Memorial. As a side note I have a heart condition and he shortened my walk by picking us up at another point saving me hundreds of steps. The tour was worth it, but we have to say that Barry was the real star. When we parted I felt as if we had made a new friend.

This was our favorite tour of the trip. Barry was fantastic and provided an exceptional level of service… from our hotel pickup to the actual tour to the drop off at the end, this was definitely a first class experience. This tour was a close-up experience of Windsor Castle which is the largest and oldest occupied castle in the world. It was not a tour with brief recorded messages but rather a guided exploration. Our driver and guide, Barry’s Tours, is dedicated to providing a top notch experience that derives from his deep knowledge and passion. After picking us up punctually, Barry throughly explained our time together. Along our travels we stopped or viewed other interesting relevant sites or points of culture. As we toured the castle, Barry was with us explaining both the history of the room or building and the existing Royal Family’s use of the location. Pointing out various artifacts in the room, he explained their relevance and connection to the room. As luck would have it, we were delighted to look out a window to see King Charles crossing a grassy area with his body guard to go into the family weekend apartments. What a surprise! After our time with Barry we came away with not only digital picture memories of our day (taken at key points by Barry) but moreover a loving appreciation of Windsor Castle and high respect for the Royal Family and their history. We could not be happier with Barry’s Tour. His tour is money well spent. We are grateful to Prince Philip for his leadership in restoring and opening part of the Castle for people from all over the world to experience this treasure.
