Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and showed us displays we would have missed had he not been with us. He also filled in stories of the history behind the displays and how they actually got there.

Robert Miller was an outstanding and knowledgeable guide!!
Robert was a brilliant guide. His enthusiasm and deep knowledge made our tour a highlight of our trip. He was thoughtful in choosing the exhibits and items to show us, answered our questions and provided an excellent overview of the history of the building. I highly recommend this tour or any others with Robert as your guide.
You should book this tour and not miss a minute of a wonderful experience. To appreciate art and history in this way was absolutely amazing!
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. We had a private tour and Robert, our guide, was very informative. He was enthusiastic and it was evident that he enjoyed his job. He showed us some if the highlights of the museum. I would highly recommend this tour, especially if you are an art lover.
My guide Robert Miller was fabulous! He was so knowledgeable, personable and he asked me my interests so he could make the tour personalized. I loved my 3 hour tour and very much enjoyed chatting with him. I really learned so very much from Robert.
Robert was absolutely fantastic! He was so incredibly knowledgeable about so many interconnecting themes and histories and made the galleries come alive. I appreciated his background on the formation of the V&A and how the collection was gathered over time. Robert also shared some “secrets” about the treasures that are hidden in plain sight…items that could easily be glossed over by visitors. I’m so thankful I got to experience the V&A through the eyes and informed experience of someone like Robert. Thank you so much for a memorable experience!
Based on prior reviews, I booked this tour knowing it would be guided by Robert Miller. I booked him for two other London Viator museum tours as well. Best decisions I have made in quite some time. I’m 70 and have traveled the world. Robert is the best guide I have ever had. He has an encyclopedic memory and is warm and friendly. The 3 hours flew by. The V&A is such an expansive museum that my wife and I would have wasted all kinds of time trying to figure out where to go and what to see on our own. Robert gave us a rundown on the zillion collections in the museum, and after telling him our areas of interest, off we went. Trust me, you will never regret hiring him.
We weren't really sure what we wanted to see and Robert started with the history of the museum and what we needed to see. Would definitely go on another tour with him.
My family and I sat over dinner and talked about all we learned from Robert on our tour of the V&A Museum in London. He was the most passionate and informed tour guide we have ever hired. What a pleasure - it was more than we could have hoped for.
Robert - was great with a vast amount Of knowledge. Would definitely use him again on our next trip to London
Our tour guide Robert was fantastic! The V&A is massive, so there is no way to get in everything. Robert selected an item or two in many of the rooms and provided an in depth history lesson of each. He pointed out things we absolutely would have missed if touring by ourselves (like a $36M tiny bowl). We found out he previously worked at Sothebys, and it made total sense! We would highly recommend!
Our tour guide Robert was amazing. Having a guide in this enormous museum made our experience so much better. Robert's expertise about art history provided us with a much richer experience than just simply wandering about with no clue to what we were observing and the incredible history of the building itself. I would not hesitate to book this tour or any other museum tour with him. Fabulous insight into British history and the origins of the displays here.
Robert has a vast knowledge of the V&A museum. The museum is extensive and overwhelming but Robert’s expertise made it all accessible and interesting. Our 3 hours with him flew by and we loved every minute. He made our time there a wonderful experience. Would highly recommend Robert as a guide.
Robert was such a delight. His knowledge and expertise of the museum and its vast contents were immense and impressive. His explanations and attention to details made the exhibits come to life. I highly recommend a guide, Robert especially due to the size and vast contents of this amazing museum.
Robert was a skilled, gracious guide and incredibly knowledgeable. The three hour tour flew by and then we were free to explore on our own. I highly recommend this tour. The V&A is massive and with a guide, no time is wasted.
Very informative, Robert was so knowledgeable about the museum and history! We will definitely book with him again! 3 hours flew by! Really appreciate him and all he shared with us. We would have missed some really gems of the museum without him!
Our guide Robert was excellent. He knew the museum very well and his knowledge of history was fantastic. It was a great 3 hours and the V and A museum is a must see
Robert was accommodating to our interests and extremely knowledgeable. I would recommend him or use him again on any trip to a London museum
Robert was a great guide. Great breadth of knowledge friendly and fun. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to engage visit to V&A.
This magnificent museum is massive in scale and lit is virtually impossible to see everything in one day, or even several days. You can find about anything of interest there which consists of a vast array of art, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, and so much more from all around the world and collected over many, many decades. Choosing to use a personal guide was the best decision we made, and our guide Robert was the absolute best guide we ever could have wished for. The three hours spent with him made our experience wonderful and extremely enlightening as well. Thank you Robert for a fabulous educational experience and when we return to London again to further explore the V&A we will definitely request Robert again. Best tour experience in London!
Robert was outstanding very gracious and incredibly knowledgeable. We have traveled extensively and the V&A tour may have been one of the best private museum tours we have experienced.
Having a guide keeps you focused on your visit Doing the museum without a guide would be too overwhelming.
The V&A is massive. Too much to be able to see you in a couple of hours by yourself. It really helped to have a knowledgeable tour guide who could show us some highlights and tell us stories about important things. Highly recommend.
Our private tour of the Victoria and Albert Museum with Robert was absolutely outstanding. He was friendly, warm and welcoming from the start, and his incredible depth of knowledge across every exhibition we visited was truly impressive. What made the experience even more special was his willingness to tailor the tour to our areas of interest. Robert uncovered so many unexpected treasures that we would never have found on our own, and the time simply flew by. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, and I would not hesitate to recommend Robert as a tour guide to anyone looking to make the most of their visit to the V&A. A truly memorable highlight of our time in London.
Our tour of the Victoria & Albert Museum, with Robert Miller of Art Guides was the highlight of our 5 day trip to London. Robert’s depth of knowledge gave us a whole new perspective about what we were seeing in the museum. It made for a fabulous morning.
A treasure trove that really needs a knowledgeable guide - and we had one! Robert Miller knew so many good stories and helped us understand the importance of what we were looking at. It is a monumental task and I wouldn’t have known how best to tackle it but we spent three productive hours, saw some of the highlights and know we need to go again, and again…oh and the shop is wonderful!
Our guide, Robert Miller, was exceptional in his knowledge ability to share stories regarding key exhibits at the V&A Museum. It is behemoth of a building and to make the most of our time, having an expert like Robert guide us through the structure as well as share the history of its development and expansion made the best of our time. We had three hours with him which gave us an opportunity to see the best of the V&A. I'd use him again next time we are in London!
We’ve been to the V&A countless times (and we are members!), but seeing it with Robert was on a whole new level! He opened our eyes to so many details and stories we’d never noticed before, and made the visit truly unforgettable. From now on, we’ll never go to a museum without Robert – he’s honestly one of the best guides we’ve ever had!
I had the V&A tour with Robert Miller of ArtGuides. It was beyond my wildest imagination to see history I could relate to. It was as if I was transported back to these extraordinary times Thank you Robert for a wonderful tour of the V&A. I recommend this tour to all.
Robert the tour guide was incredibly knowledgable. The three hours flew by. We strongly recommend for anyone who wants a good museum experience.
Very knowledgeable guide, Robert Miller Took us thru all of the historical ages we were interested in
Robert was amazing. His knowledge was very impressive. He made the tour very entertaining. The time flew by. The facts and stories he told made the exhibits come alive. Highly recommend using him
This museum is too big for one tour, but our guide hit the high spots we were interested in and the three hours went by in a blink. His knowledge was impressive, but it was his style that made the outing memorable. He did not push or condescend, but told facts about the exhibits that made them much more accessible. The place is so overwhelming, you could literally spend days reading all the placards and still not understand fully what you are looking at. With the guide, you were able to cut through a lot of the noise and just get the essence of the exhibit.
Our private guided tour of the Victoria & Albert Museum was top notch. Our guide, Robert, was incredibly knowledgeable and informative. He is also a very nice man and brings the museum to life with his enthusiasm. The museum itself is gorgeous and full of interesting art and artifacts. We hope to return again to this incredible site and to tour other places in London under Robert’s expert tutelage.
Robert is incredibly knowledgeable and the Victoria and Albert museum is massive, highly recommend the tour!
Wonderful. Guide was very knowledgeable and well-rounded with information. Would use him again. Worth every bit of cost.
Robert Miller, from ArtGuides, had my wife and me in thrall for three hours as he guided us through selected treasures in multiple galleries of the V&A. Charming and articulate, he focused on specific items, identifying and explaining exquisite artistry and masterful details whose significance we would simply not have appreciated without his commentary. Added to which, despite (presumably) having given this tour on many previous occasions, he continually showed his own great enthusiasm and admiration for the works on which he focused and why they are so special. We highly recommend others to take a tour with him.
Robert’s passion for art/history was contagious, and he brought the exhibits to life with fascinating stories. The experience felt personal and enriching. Highly recommend booking a tour with him if you want to go beyond just reading the plaques.
Wonderful experience with Robert. He was very knowledgeable, took us to locations that he knew might interest my daughters, and offered lots of anecdotal information about the exhibits. Highly recommend!
Robert Miller was an outstanding guide during our visit to the Victoria & Albert Museum. His deep understanding of the museum’s history and the significance of the artworks brought the experience to life. We were especially captivated by his enthusiasm and expertise in the cast collections—he turned us into fans as well! We highly recommend Robert for anyone looking to gain a richer appreciation of the museum.
Robert was one of the finest guides I ever have had the pleasure of touring with. His knowledge of history was magnificent and every piece he described sprang to life with his stories and descriptions. It was a privilege to listen and learn from him I hope I will meet him again for another tour.
Our private guide, Robert Miller, was excellent. He made the massive amount of art within the V&A approachable. We saw many pieces of art that we would have just walked by with barely a look. Robert explained the pieces and drew us into the works of art.
Amazing museum and even more amazing tour guide! Robert is a legendary tour guide! The V&A is one of the most interesting museums in the world.
We had an outstanding guide and it is a magnificent museum. There is so much to see and without an experienced guide it would be impossible.
Our tour guide, Robert, was outstanding! Truly a walking encyclopedia – but he conveyed much more than facts. He told STORIES that brought the artifacts to life and helped us appreciate the times they represented. We were captivated and amazed, and learned SO much! I would give this tour ten stars I could. And I hope to return to the V&A next time I am in London.
We saw an extensive array of items on display at the V and A. Our favorites were the sculptures, jewelry and the Chinese lacquer table and other Chinese artifacts. Robert was a knowledgeable guide and we never would have enjoyed the experience nearly as much without his insight.
Whether you are an art professional, an aficionado, or simply interested in learning about art, this private tour is a wonderful and interesting experience. The museum itself is beautiful and well laid out, and its collections represent art from all corners of the world, including sculpture, textiles, china and pottery, and paintings. Our guide, Robert Miller, was outstanding. He is clearly very knowledgeable about the V&A and works in it. Even if you’re not sure what you want to see, Robert will give you a comprehensive introduction to the museum and some of its most important pieces.
Excellent tour by Robert Miller he was knowledgeable and kept us engaged in our first visit to the V&A
Robert was extremely knowledgeable and knew exactly what areas of the museum to cover extensively given our stated interests. We were pressed for time to visit another tour and he was sensitive to that and went at a speed that suited us and our timeframe. We came away with a massive appreciation for the Victoria and Albert as first time visitors. The collection was impressive and covered so many different areas of art. The museum itself was very inviting and beautiful.
