It was great to explore the city by bike, we really liked how easy it was to bike and the stories in each stop ! Highly recommend

Itinerary
Your tour will meet at 189 Hercules Road (SE17LD). Tally Ho guides will then bring you over to the bicycle storage location to get kitted up with a bike and helmet or tweed flat cap (optional). Secure bag storage is available.
Your ride starts with a loop of Archbishop's Park to get comfortable with your bike and to make any adjustments. The park is a popular spot for Lambeth residents and hosts a Zipwire in the summer months.
Lambeth Palace is home to the Archbishop of Canterbury and located on the south side of the River Thames, across from the Houses of Parliament.
You'll stop on the south side of the River Thames to see one of the best views of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.
Explore the quaint backstreets of Westminster, home to politicians, air raid shelters, and Lawrence of Arabia.
Pass through the ancient grounds of one of London's 'public schools' and find out what Winnie-the-Pooh and Shane Macgowan have in common.
Stand in front of Westminster Abbey, home of Coronations and Royal Weddings. *Note; Westminster Abbey is a paid attraction and we do not have time to enter it on this ride.
You will be cycling around the park and you will be back at the Beckham Palace to see the changing of the guard
Stand in the middle of Horseguards Parade where military parades take place each year and see the Downing Street garden and impressive Old Admiralty Building. You may also catch part of the Horseguards changeover.
You will have a relaxing moment and hear the history of the BUCKINGHAM PALACE
Ride under this pretty arch that marks the boundary of 'Royal London', and find the secret stone nose located underneath.
Trafalgar Square is the home of many iconic monuments, including Nelsons Column and the National Gallery. It's also the technical centre of London.
Stop for a pint of local beer (optional) at the Lamb & Flag pub in Covent Garden. Once know as the 'bucket of blood' due to its connect with bare-knuckle boxing, the pub is older than the USA and a favourite with locals. The pub offer a selection of seasonal craft beers and soft drinks which can be purchased direct. Alternatively, if you'd rather take a break in Covent Garden Market that is also possible.
Ride up the Mall to Buckingham Palace home of the Queen. Hear tales of Royal history and gossip from your guide. And catch the best parts of the Changing of the Guard (on certain dates). *please note we do not go inside the Palace as its a paid attraction and there isn't time *the Mall is closed to cars on Sundays making it an extra special cycling experience.
Visit London's only Italian style piazza, Covent Garden Market, bustling with shops and restaurants.
Stop by an ancient Egyptian obelisk on the River Thames to also discover the story of London's amazing Victorian sewage system.
Ride past London's iconic ferris wheel, the London Eye. You'll stop briefly at the best place for a photo. *please note we do not go on the London Eye as its a paid attraction and there isn't time
Cross the River Thames using a bike lane over Westminster Bridge. You'll cycle right underneath Big Ben!
Visit the Graffiti Tunnel under Waterloo Station, made famous by Banksy, and see street artists painting amazing murals. This is the only 'legal' graffiti zone in the area. And you'll also get to try graffiti yourself as spray paint is provided in the tour.

Our family had an incredible bike tour with James! He is exceptionally animated, engaging, and gifted at bringing history to life through storytelling. What could have been a simple tour became a fascinating journey filled with memorable stories, historical insights, and entertaining anecdotes. James has a true talent for captivating an audience of all ages. Even our 6-year-old twin boys were completely engaged (which is no small feat)! His enthusiasm, knowledge, and ability to make history both fun and accessible made this one of the highlights of our trip. We learned so much, laughed often, and left with a much deeper appreciation for London and its history. We highly recommend to anyone looking for an informative, entertaining, and unforgettable tour experience.
Excellent tour. Edward was very knowledgeable and engaging and kept the childrenβs interest by asking questions. Enjoyed all of the tour and cycling was at a good pace.
We recently spent 5 days in London. We planned a family biking tour with Tally Ho and were so lucky to spend our time with the fabulous Katie! She is knowledgeable, funny and joy to be around. We were traveling with 2 kids (11 and 9). She was able to keep them engaged and wanting more! I was originally afraid it would be too much riding, but it was a perfect balance of riding and then stopping and talking about attractions. This was our overall favorite experience in London! Totally worth it.
My family went on a private "landmarks and gems" tour with Bryan. He did an excellent job of fitting equipment for us and ensuring we were comfortable with operation. We were taken to a large number of interesting sites, many that were off the beaten trail. He was very well versed in explaining the various landmarks and answering questions we had. He made sure that everyone was safe throughout the trip. The terrain was very manageable for all levels of cyclists. I highly recommend this tour to start your visit to London. Everyone in my family agreed that this was one of the highlights of our trip.
We had the pleasure of having Tom as our guide. He did an excellent job providing a safe, fun and informative tour for my family. Would recommend!
This was my second tour with Tally Ho, and this time I brought the family. We had a fabulous morning ride, just as informative and witty as the first time. Would definitely recommend for anyone who wants to get up close to London in a hurry, get some fresh air, and learn some interesting history along the way.
Best way to see London, easy ride , great guide , we went to all the important landmarks where you can take lots of pictures, recommended!!
Private Family Bike Tour of London is definitely 5 stars! This was one of our very favorite things from our London vacation. Teens and adults enjoyed it. We loved having Katie as our guide- perfect mix of history, fun and interesting stories, sight-seeing and bike riding. I was a little concerned in advance about navigating London traffic on a bike, but we felt perfectly safe the entire time. My son especially got a kick out of the graffiti tunnel. Bikes were comfortable and easy to ride.
What a TOUR!! Kate was a ***** 10***** out of 5 stars!! She was energetic, helpful & incredibly knowledgeable on the London area! We biked here & there on our London made antique-type bikes with Kate making every aspect of the tour interesting & enjoyable! She is a wealth of knowledge!! Request her & you will not be disappointed!! The best tour we had this week!
Awesome way to explore London. We have been to London a few times but this bike tour provided a unique and different perspective to immerse yourselves in this vibrant city. Jason, our tour guide, provided some musical jingle with his fantastic voice. He was completely flexible with our travel plans and was amenable to all of our requests. Jason provided an immense knowledge of the city and its rich history. We all loved his humor and wit. Thx Jason for an exciting tour.
Katie is the BEST! She is so knowledgeable about the local area and history. The bikes (Pashley - Made in England) are super smooth rides, the pace was comfortable, and guides and nice and engaging. I highly recommend this tour!
So much fun!! My kids had a great time. Great pace, informative and the perfect way to see the city. The bikes were great and we were even able to have my four and six year old along for the ride!
My children (8 and 10) were not overly enthusiastic about the idea of riding bikes on the busy streets of London but from the moment we arrived our guide, Eduard, was amazing. He wove in humor, storytelling, and an impressive amount of history into our tour. He had fun pop quizzes for the kids and when we told him they liked Harry Potter he pointed out sights theyβd recognize. The whole ride was great and really accessible to even younger riders. The only hazard that caught us was the gravel outside the Household Cavalry Museum near 10 Downing Street. Other than that, it was relatively flat and well paved for the whole ride. My kids loved ringing their bells and cruising through city streets. The graffiti at the end was the cherry on top of a great experience
Our private family bike tour with Tally Ho in London was an absolute delight! Our guide Jason was the best!! He was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly engaging, making the tour enjoyable for both kids (ages 9, 13, and 15) and adults. We explored iconic landmarks like Buckingham Palace and hidden gems, all while cycling safely through dedicated bike lanes. The guide shared fascinating stories, including quirky facts that kept the kids entertained. We even had a chance to try graffiti art! This adventure was a highlight of our trip, creating lasting memories and fantastic family photos. Highly recommend this experience for families visiting London!
What an amazing morning with Jason! Our family of 5 (children ages 15, 11, and 11) did a private family bike tour of London. I will start by saying that our younger girls do not bike often and were nervous about riding on roads with traffic. Bike riding in London is so much safer than riding a bike in the States... the bike lane with it's own bike traffic lights make even the nervous rider feel comfortable. Plus our tour guide, Jason, was so patient and amazing! This was our first full day around the city and we hit all the highlights! Jason was informative yet engaging for the kids. The graffiti was an added bonus! Be ready to laugh and see London in such a special way. We have zero regrets for booking this tour and highly recommend it for your family too... and hopefully you will meet Jason because he was amazing!
Highlight of our family trip to London! Our guide, Edward was fantastic and knowledgeable about London and history. We got to see all the landmarks on a super fun activity for our kids! We felt safe and had the time of our lives on beautiful bikes in the city! Absolutely the most highest recommendation!
The very best way to see London! Jason was an incredible guide and showed us all the sights. Even my 17-year-old daughter was happy. Cycling was easy, and Jason's history and humor made the experience. A must do!
Jason was our tour guide and was excellent! He went at a great pace, was knowledgeable and made things fun. We covered a lot of ground in a short period of time, highly recommend!
Our favorite thing we did in London- truly a must-do for anyone looking to maximize their time and have a great time in the process. Katie was the BEST guide, giving us a tour that was entertaining and informative for the entire family (teens to adults). We saw so many sites that would have taken us hours or days via foot but with the bike, it was possible.
This was our favorite London activity of the trip.. Katie was amazing, and so knowledgeable!! HIGHLY recommend.. 5 big stars, hands down!
James is amazing! He was full of historical knowledge and gave great recommendations on places to visit and eat. Well done!!
Katie our tour guide was the BEST! She dressed up like Mary Popins and was very good with the kids! She knew the city, had great facts to share and was an enjoyable tour
Loved the bicycle tour. The guide had great facts and it was a great way to see the city. He told funny stories and it was great for older kids.
Fabulous morning excursion with Edward. I had half a day at the beginning of a work trip to get out, see the highlights and get some fresh air, and this trip was perfect. Edward was knowledgeable, entertaining and great company. I would highly recommend.
We had a wonderful time on our family bike tour with Edward. I loved the cap I got to wear to make me look like a local LOL. It is so nice and fun to be on a bike rather than in a vehicle or on foot. With our group of 3, we always felt safe. It was also nice to have our own photographer in tow! I highly recommend Tally Ho bike Tours and Edward!
Edward the tour guide was a delight. Cycling was easy, even with some kids in the party. Bicycles in good nick, and very comfortable for site seeing.
It was the highlight of the trip! One member of our group who was probably the most reluctant cyclist said halfway through that they didn't want it to end. Katie was an exceptional host. 10/10 would recommend.
The bike tour with Edward was fantastic and a highlight from our trip to London! Our group was 3 couples and it was a bonus to have our own photographer. Edward provided us with great historical information and made the day fun. Loved the changing of the guards, the pub stop, and it was a great day. Thank you Edward!
This was the best experience for all of us. While a bit more expensive than the group tour, it was sooo worth it! We had Olivia, and she was wonderful. So informative and sweet. We met some other guides at the pub who were also great. We toured with our 11 year old, and def wouldn't have enjoyed nearly as much with a huge crew of folks. We had her to ourselves. She also helped us navigate the stressful London streets, but kept us off the main ones as much as possible. Highly recommend!
This tour was the highlight of our family trip to London. Edward was very entertaining and knowledgeable. Thanks for a great experience!!
We just finished our family bike tour with Edward! This was an excellent family adventure and Edward was an exceptional guide, so knowledgeable and patient with our family of six. They have a good range of childrenβs size bicycles and helmets- we used two different child size bikes and a trailer. It was fun, informative, active and entertained our younger children and our teenagers! Thank you Edward!!
Ed was amazing and made it so much fun. We were a family of 5 w three kids and everyone enjoyed it! Thanks again Ed - you made our last day in London amazing!!!!
Excellent private bike tour with family. We have young kids and we never felt in danger. Very informative and great way for family to explore London. Jason was a great guide and very accommodating for our group
SO. MUCH. FUN! We had a total blast doing this tour. So much so, that we tried to do another one the next day, but they were (understandably) booked. Edward was a FANTASTIC guide. He knew so much about the city, and was a total pro navigating our group (which included an 8 and 10 year old) through central London traffic. I learned a ton about London and enjoyed seeing the sites this way. The route was very easy--my kids did it without issue. The company is very well organized and everything about the experience was great.
Excellent orientation to the city on our first morning in London. Ed was a fantastic guide and was full of entertaining stories, history, anecdotes and fun quizzes. Bikes were gorgeous and well maintained. Ride was easy and we covered a lot of ground.
Tally Ho! gave us a fantastic tour today covering some of Londonβs most iconic places including Big Ben and Parliment, Westminster Abbey, Lambeth Palace, and Buckingham Palace. Edwards, our guide, was personable, knowledgeable, funny, and most importantly, looking out for our safety. He timed our visit perfectly so we got to see the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace - and for the teens, he made a stop with spray paint at the Leake St. tunnel where Banksy and mother street artists display their work. We were serenaded with great singing and had a fantastic time. Thank you Edwards and Tally Ho! BTW- we took the Tally Ho! Tour based on a recommendation by some friends who visited in 2022, so they continue to do a fantastic job!
All the loveliest highlights and photo opportunities with the friendliest most knowledgeable and kind guides ever. I have recently switched medications for an autoimmune disease that makes heat and nausea a horrible side effect. On a hot day tour of London I began to feel faint and nauseous. Jasper and Katie handled the situation with gentle kindness and quickly helped me to recover and find a solution to get me back to the hotel so my family could continue this amazing tour. I was soooo looking forward to it. We are a family of five and have never had such an amazing tour. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
The private family bike tour of London was one of the best experiences of our trip. Edward was a great guide. Would definitely recommend it to anyone! Thanks.
This was the highlight of our trip. We booked a private tour for our family and Edward Ferrow was our amazing guide. We had our two children with us and Edward was entertaining, kind and always made sure we were safe while riding. We learned so much about London that we didn't know. It was the best way to see London without having to walk or take the tube. The highlights for the kids was the changing of the guard and the spray paint tunnel at the end. I cannot recommend this tour enough! Best thing we did while visiting London
Great way to start your visit to London! We came straight from the airport to help push through jet lag. Was a great way to see a lot of the highlights of London and get some exercise under the guidance of a knowledgeable guide. Fantastic guide and great experience! Highly recommend.
Our family bike tour with Stewart was amazing! He was incredibly engaging for the adults and the kids in the group. We learned so much about the history of London and covered so much ground without feeling rushed. Was probably our favorite activity we have done this whole trip. Highly recommend seeing the city via bike, and taking time to ride with Tallyho. They are professional, have great bike equipment and give a phenomenal tour! Well done!
Fantastic biking tour experience in family through London City ! Thanks a lot to our great guide Jason. He told us many interesting stories during the journey. When we come back to London we will do it again for sure π€
What a lovely way to get to know London with 3 teenager boys! We choose the private family tour and had the greatest time and the best guide, unfortunately we forgot his name, heβs originally from Ireland, but knows all the little funny historic anekdotes about London! Heβs just entertaining enough without going over the top! It was perfect! Thanks Tally Ho and many Greetings from βFamily of 5 from Belgiumβ!
We spent 5 days in London as a family in October with our 10-year-old son. We like to take guided tours as well as cycling, but we had some questions about road traffic in London. This visit with Jason was really one of the highlights of our visit. The tour was really exciting with a lot of information and anecdotes, we all loved it. Jason was very open, attentive to our son in road traffic, his anecdotes and history were exciting, a real encyclopedia about the past and present of London. Besides, his French is really excellent! The tour was really well suited, not too long, not too short and easy to access for adults and young alike. We highly recommend the experience!
It was indescribable - secret places - interesting stories - James with his British manner - a tour with a lot of charm.
Great tour! Jason is a great guide who shares his passion for London in impeccable French - ask him to sing under the Duke of York statue.
