Private Cotswold Villages Day Tour See The Beauty Of The Villages

We had the best time with our driver Nick. He had a lovely van that was spacious and he had water bottles/charges for us to use. We saw 5 villages/towns and each one was as beautiful as the last. Nick chose a great place for us to eat and had interesting stories of the area. It was better than I expected and would highly recommend to anyone going to England. It is worth every penny.

Jay our guide was fun and provided lots of history. This is an excellent tour to take if you want to really explore the villages in Cotswolds and see some of the English countryside

Cotswold is beautiful period. I am glad that we booked this tour. I have been imagining this toir as i have seen it from social media, and did not realize I get to see it in person during my trip to England. Douglas is a wonderfil tour guide. He knows what he is doing . He also make the trip enjoyable and fun! I recommend this tour to everyone.

We had a wonderful tour with Kingdom Private Tours. Charles was extremely responsive and kept in touch at the appropriate times with concise information and directions. Nick, our driver/guide, was truly amazing. He gave us a history lesson and made sure every step of way was super easy and carefree. Kingdom Private Tours was the perfect option for our family's visit to England. Charles was able to create a custom tour that fit our desires to see Blenheim Castle as well as visiting a few of the Cotswolds villages all in one day. We had 8 family members ranging in age from 12 to 75. Being picked up directly in front of our London hotel was a prime benefit in selecting a private tour for us. We spent a lot of time walking, taking taxis, buses and the tube as we navigated England. So getting picked up on time right in front of the hotel was a luxury. Our guide for the day, Nick, was the perfect person to introduce us to the area. He was accommodating and enthusiastic about getting to know us as we spent a lot of time driving to our tour sites. He was engaging, friendly and easy to talk with. He also taught us about the places we were visiting which added much to our understanding of what we were looking at. The van itself was very comfortable. I would highly recommend Kingdom Tours to anyone interested in taking a customized tour in the UK.

Christopher was a great guide. Very warm and friendly. Took us to out of the way places like a brewery with honor system beer and a milk dispensing machine on an organic farm. Had time to wade in the water to beat the heat. Great Day!

This was our first visit to The Cotswolds, so my wife and I needed a guide to help us make the most of the day. Peter was an amazing guide. Pickup at the hotel was easy and on-schedule. The drive was smooth and in a beautiful vehicle. Peter was knowledgeable about the area and gave us tips on what to visit and where to eat lunch. He provided the perfect balance of walking with us to help us get acclimated to an area, and then allowing us to explore on our own with a clear meet-up location after we were done. He was available via phone or text at all times. He was a smooth driver, both through London traffic and on curvy country roads. Peter took us to four different towns during the day, and we now have wonderful memories, pictures, and keepsakes for the day. Kingdom Private Tours was also excellent. Charles was proactive in his communication and was able to answer any questions that we had. There were no hiccups or surprises. All in all, it was a wonderful day that exceeded our expectations. We enthusiastically recommend both Peter and Kingdom Private Tours to others.

Our guide David Stubbs made our fabulous trip to The Cotswolds so much richer by not only pointing us to the “must-sees” of the English countryside, but the little-known, off-the-beaten path treasures, as well. In addition, he got us an advanced lunch reservation at the oldest pub in Britain (his idea, and it was lovely) and he gave us must-try-while-here meal recommendations so we could get a true taste of his country. Had we gone it alone, we would have missed so much. We also felt very safe and comfortable with him—very important for a group of four women. No wonder Rick Steves mentions him as a top guide for the London area!

It is difficult to write a review that captures our truly outstanding experience. Booking was easy, communications with tour company was great. The van was clean and roomy, with a very smooth ride the entire way. And our driver/guide -- unbelievable! We have been on many local tours around the U.S. and Europe, both private and group tours, and have NEVER had such a fantastic guide! Nik was friendly, informative, funny, and knowledgeable about a wide range of subjects. We saw Burford, Stow on the Wold, Lower Slaughter, Bourton and Bibury. Yet we never felt rushed, and still managed to fit in a traditional Sunday "Roast Dinner" and a stop for local Cotswold ice cream. Our highest recommendation!!

Douglas was an excellent driver/guide. Very personable and filled with lots of historical facts. The Cotswolds are stunning, with rolling hills, scenic rivers and streams, and beautiful little villages. Some of the villages can get crowded, but Douglas is pretty effective in keeping you out of them. The only reason the rating is not 5 stars is the lunch location selected by Douglas was very average. He also assumed we were buying his lunch, though that is not disclosed in the tour description, so you may want to ask your driver/guide.

Our family of four (two boys, 11 and 8) from the United States had an amazing tour of Oxford and the Cotswolds with our guide Nik. Nik is a proper English gentleman with an abundance of personality and humor. He was engaged the entire day, making sure we prioritized what was most important to us and especially having fun and making it a memorable experience for us and our two boys. We also loved Oxford and the several Cotswolds villages we were able to see. It’s a beautiful area and we were blessed with great weather that day…which also meant larger crowds in some places, but Nik was inventive with managing parking/traffic. He also arranged a pub lunch stop for us that ended up being one of our favorite meals of our entire trip (The Stag at Stow). And as we drove back to London that evening, we had a lovely and wide-ranging conversation with Nik. And he was a safe and aware driver. We did a separate tour on another day with Kingdom Private Tours and had a similarly wonderful experience with a different guide (Jay). We would absolutely recommend Kingdom Private Tours and felt that we received a great value from our experiences.

Mohammad (Mo) drove us to Cotswold outside of London. He was a good driver, but had no historical information to share with us regarding the location. The cost of the tour for four people was 1365 pounds. Absolutely a waste of money as he was a glorified bus driver. The last time that I went to Cotswold on a tour I had a fabulous driver who had excellent historical information regarding the various towns and Cotswold. I had booked it through our hotel. I wish I had booked it through our hotel this time in 2025. I will never, ever book another trip through Viator. I asked for a partial refund, but they wouldn’t give it to me. We travel a lot and I will tell everyone I know to never ever book through Viator. Completely disappointed and completely ripped off.

This tour was great. Moe was our driver and he was kind, helpful with my Mom, who is older, and very knowledgeable on the area. The villages were cute and I am glad we got out of the city to explore.

Peter collected me from my hotel right on time. Then we drove to the Cotswold around three villages after passing by the bucolic green fields. I was in a wheelchair but Peter easily managed to wheel me around the crowded sidewalks. It was my birthday so I treated him to lunch @ a pub which didn’t open til noon. The food was outstanding & I told the owner if I were a Michelin Man I would give this place 3 stars. He sent me 64 beautiful shots of the Cotswold to my phone & I took several more too. Then I asked him to take me to a place where I could buy post cards which was spot on & they International stamps. A perfect birthday present for me. D. Thompson San Francisco

We were lucky enough to visit the Cotswolds with Nik on a beautiful sunny day while in London. The tour was perfectly timed. With a great lunch area, perfect recommendations. The van was spotless and comfortable. Nik is professional but entertaining and not a boring moment the whole day!! Great day and I wish I had a second day available to tour somewhere else with him!

Long day of driving, so be sure you know beforehand if you want to hit all five stops. Otherwise a lovely day and enjoyed ourselves.

Booking the trip via email was easy and communication by the team was top notch, even when I had a last minute request and several changes throughout. On the day of thr tour, we were picked up on time in a pristine vehicle. Our guide Nik was hilarious and kept the family and teens engaged their entire time. He kept things going and was an integral part of the experience.

Peter was an amazing driver guide and gave us lot of history plus took us to the most picturesque spots and took lots of pictures of us. Very nice large Mercedes van with water and mini fridge provided. Excellent service and would 10/10 recommend.

I am back home in the States and have been reflecting on our European vacation. A time that truly stands out is the day we spent with Pete Szwabski. Pete led us on the Private Cotswold Villages Day Tour. What a great local guide! He had loads of interesting information, was full of humor, thoughtful, and has wonderful positive spirit! Starting the day our tour guide, Doug, was very communicative and actually got us started a little early. Doug was very knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and made sure we knew all our options. We were able to get insight we never would have been privy to as well as some amazing photo locations and if Doug hangs up his touring, he could easily become a photographer. He gave us the proper amount of time on our own as well as with him. Well worth the private time and we had an amazing day. It should also be noted that he has plenty of space in a very clean vehicle! He has any gadget you may need. Cheers!

We spent two days with Kingdom Private Tours. Both days were great. The first day was with Pete. He took us to Windsor Castle and Stonehenge. It is a full day and Pete kept us on schedule. Pete was so kind and we enjoyed spending the day with him. Second day was with Douglas. He took us to the Cotswolds. It was an awesome day. He knew the right places for pictures and an excellent pub. We had an amazing day in the Cotswolds with Nik He is a wealth of information about the area and just UK history in general. We laughed and learned so much He gave us great advice on the best sights in each area and a good lunch suggestion too He timed the day well to allow us a stop at Blenheim Palace so we really got to do exactly what we wanted I highly recommend Nik and his company for whatever you want to see around the London area. Our driver, Lynton, was the best! Made the day and informative. We learned a lot in a fun way! We saw five beautiful villages and enjoyed a fantastic lunch in Stowe that Lynton arranged in advance. 3 couples and we all loved the tour, and especially Lynton! Highly recommend!!

Our trip to the Cotswold villages was hands down the favorite part of our vacation. All communication with Kingdom tours was friendly, fast and very detailed. The cost of the trip, while an investment, was absolutely worth every penny. I want to give a huge shout out to our tour guide Nic. He took our trip from great to absolute perfection! Conversation was a blast and he was a wealth of historical knowledge! I'm convinced Nic could have toured us on the toilets of London and it still would have been the favorite part of our trip! Nic was an excellent tour guide! He was informative, funny, charming, and kept us laughing. He went over and beyond what was expected. When he heard my husband’s family was from the Upper Slaughters he felt it was important enough to do a quick detour to visit St Peter’s Church where the family crest is on display. He took many beautiful photos of us in front of the river, at a church, etc that will bring back many memories of the Cotswolds and of Nic.

Amazing tour, but even better guide!!! We had a fantastic time with my spouse and 4 children exploring 5 beautiful quintessential villages and towns in the Cotswolds. Firstly, Nik is simply the best! He was so kind, informative, energetic, and generally fun to be with all day, providing the perfect balance of guidance and freedom to roam. We have been on many tours all over Europe (both private and group), and I can honestly say without hesitation that Nik is the BEST guide we’ve ever had hands down! He truly made us feel like lifelong friends, and we created memories that will last a lifetime. The Cotswolds were as gorgeous as advertised with their individual charm and personality. We realized our early January trip was off-season, so the towns were almost empty! So if you’re willing to brave the cold, this time of year is much less crowded. Lastly, the van was super comfortable for 6 of us, ultra clean and well kept, with plenty of legroom and waters/phone chargers provided! Don’t hesitate to book this tour. And ask for Nik!!!!

Nick, our guide was absolutely brilliant. He was knowledgeable and interesting. He set up lunch for us at a great pub. The Cotswolds are fabulous. If I had to say something negative, it would be we didn’t have enough time check out all the little shops. But, I will go back! I highly recommend this tour and Nick.
