Enjoyed the trip very much. Anna and Corey did a great job guiding and driving. Anna, our guide, was very helpful and friendly. Day trip to Oxford and Stratford upon Avon

Itinerary
Over a thousand years of history are waiting to be discovered at this fantastic medieval castle. Set against the River Avon within 64 acres of landscaped parkland, this beautiful castle once belonged to the most powerful man in England, The Earl of Warwick. Learn how the 'Kingmaker' was the only man who dared defy the King, and how he defeated the armies of King Edward IV in battle before taking the King himself as a prisoner. Explore the lavishly decorated State Rooms and 17th-century Great Hall; a room boasting an impressive collection of artefacts including suits of armour and medieval weapons. In the castle's 14th-century gaol, the original dungeon, see graffiti left behind by prisoners hundreds of years ago. How many names can you spot?
This picturesque market town is most famous for being the birthplace of William Shakespeare, widely regarded to be the greatest writer in English literature and the world's preeminent dramatist.
This ancient market town is perhaps most famous for being the birthplace of William Shakespeare, widely regarded to be the greatest writer in English literature and the world's greatest ever dramatist. You'll have the option to visit the 16th-century half-timbered house where Shakespeare was born in 1564 and grew up. Enjoy a fascinating insight into tales of his family life and admire rare artefacts on displays from the Shakespeare Trust's world-class collections.
Covering almost 800 square miles and no fewer than five English counties, the Cotswolds are the single largest designated Area of Natural Beauty in the UK. Get your cameras at the ready as we drive through the unremittingly pretty countryside on our way to our next destination. Please note that we do not stop any of villages in the Cotswolds.
Our final stop, also known as 'The City of Dreaming Spires', is the UK's most famous university town and home to the oldest university in the English-speaking world, the University of Oxford. Enjoy a walking tour through the city with your expert guide, who will bring the charm and history of this incredible city to life. Oxford is the only place in the country where you will find examples of every architectural period going as far back as Saxon times. Little surprise, then, that this beautiful city has been the filming location for countless movies and TV series over the years, including the Harry Potter film series. As you wander its cobbled streets with your guide, you will see sights including Bridge of Sighs, Trinity College, the Ashmolean Museum and The Sheldonian Theatre.
In Christ Church college, you will be visiting one of the University's most prestigious colleges. Founded by Henry VIII in 1532, Christ Church also functions as the UK's smallest cathedral. Its beautiful architecture has seen it featured in movies such as Harry Potter and The Golden Compass, while it has also inspired replicas around the world. The famous dining hall, for example, has been reproduced in Cornell University & the University of Chicago. The dining hall in all Harry Potter movies is modelled on the Christchurch dining hall!
Hertford Bridge, often called "the Bridge of Sighs", is a skyway joining two parts of Hertford College over New College Lane in Oxford, England. Its distinctive design makes it a city landmark.
The Bodleian Library is the main research library of the University of Oxford, and is one of the oldest libraries in Europe. With over 12 million items, it is the second-largest library in Britain after the British Library.

Highly recommend. Well worth time and money to tour outside of London. Shiela provided a lot of history and information about the sights visited and places passed through.
We did the Warwick castle, Cotswold/stratford upon Avon and Oxford tour and Sheila did a great job as our tour guide giving us background and keeping us moving. She had many great insights to offer. Highly recommend.
Great tour overall and we got to see a lot of different places and sights outside of London for the day. The buses were nice and comfortable and clean. It was a rainy day but we still had a great time and saw everything on the list. Our guide and driver were great, shout out to Godfrey and Lucian!
We had a wonderful time exploring Warwick Castle, Stratford-Upon-Avon, and Oxford! Loved getting to see the Cotswolds and the scenic country side on the way. Godfrey and Lucian were wonderful guiding us along the way. Highly recommend if you want to see a little bit of everything on a Day trip out of London!
Had so much fun! Tour guide (Godfrey) was very friendly and entertaining and shared many funny stories throughout :)
Our guide, Angela, was knowledgeable and efficient. Lovely to see Warwick Castle, Stratford-Upon-Avon, and Oxford. The driver was great and kept us safe.
The tour was very good. Angela our guide was terrific the amount of information she had was fantastic. I would say that this had to be the best tour my wife and I have been on. Our driver kept us on time. Driving around London and area appears challenging. He done it with great skill.
We really loved this day trip. Saul our tour master was great. So much knowledge. Plus we were lucky with the weather too. I do wish we had a bit more time for lunch.
Tour was great. The fish and chips wasn't too good.
This was a great tour. I wasn’t sure what to expect when we went to Oxford or Warwick. There were so many details about Oxford we didn’t know. Warwick was a fun castle turned into a family fun amusement place. We really enjoyed it. It would be great with kids. We wish we would’ve had more time here.
This was a great day out with our guide Robert. Warwick castle was amazing. Robert gave us a quick orientation, made a few suggestions, then cut us free. We had the perfect amount of time there. Then on to Stratford-upon-Avon and Shakespeare's birthplace and a quick lunch. We closed out at Oxford, which was incredible. Robert gave us a superb walking tour- some history, some architecture, and even a little Harry Potter! He definitely knows his stuff. I waffled about doing this tour but I am very happy that I did.
I would like to thank Evan Evans Tours for the wonderful one day trip! If I say it was good, I say nothing. It was amazing! Why? First of all, because we had an excellent guide Robert! I have learned a lot of interesting things. Robert's story about Oxford was beyond my expectations! We had a very good driver! Thank you very much, Evan Evans, for organizing our tour! I am looking forward to travelling to other places of interest with you! Kind regards, Tanya Norway
Robert our guide was fantastic. A lot of information and interesting stories about the history of each place we visited. Well worth the money, and was so nice to be picked up and dropped off in London. Saw much more in one day than I could have planned to do on public transport on my own, and it’s nice to share the experience with a group. Coach was comfortable and clean. Thank you :)
Robert was a great tour guide Very informative
What a great day to Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon, and Warwick Castle! Kudos to Simon for his guiding and Ahmed for his driving! Loved walking through Oxford, seeing the architecture and learning the history. Plenty of photographic spots and opportunities. Stratford-upon-Avon had a nice museum with admission part of our fee to see the birthplace of William Shakespeare. Plenty of great souvenirs to shop and a tasty lunch was had on Henley Street. Warwick Castle was a sight! Loved the grounds, various amusement sites including the Horrible Histories Maze. Hilarious! Had such a fun time walking the castle it was tough to leave. Highly recommend this “tasting” tour to learn about these locations if you’re not doing more time at them.
I only had an extra day in London after a business trip and this was a great option to get a quick taste of some points of interest outside the city. It delivers. Simon, our guide, was great. His interesting commentary enhanced the experience.
Drive through cotswolds, no stops. Stratford on avon great. Warwick castle, worthwhile. Disappointed no stops in Cotswolds.
Pablo has been one of the best guides ever. Thanks for driving us Vinnie
Pablo, our guide, and Vinnie, our bus driver, were great. We had a wonderful time on this tour. Oxford was probably the highlight and Pablo did a great job on the walking tour. Stratford upon Avon and Warwick Castle were just ok. Warwick castle is very commercialized and probably great for families, but not that great for adults. Stratford upon Avon is cute but the Shakespeare museum is very small. We had a nice lunch there so that was good. Overall a nice day and a safe travels with Pablo and Vinnie.
It was ok in that it would've taken a lot longer with public transport and the coach was comfortable and air conditioned. I would've liked more time at Stratford-Upon-Avon so I also could've visited Ann Hathaway's cottage and Shakespeare's final resting place. Guide was ok, but not very entertaining and needs to wear something that he can be more easily spotted in. I signed up for the English tour, but because there was a Spanish speaking contingent, it felt like 75% of his narrative was in Spanish.
It was a great experience! ! My favorite stop was Stratford-upon-Avon. I am glad I added the admission price to Shakespeare's house. That made it hassle free. ANA was an excellent guide. She was well-prepared and gave us some background info about our next stop. She was friendly, funny and always open to any questions or concerns. PRAB, our driver, was safe, friendly and maneuvered those tiny roads with ease. I was able to relax and enjoy the ride. Overall, we enjoyed our trip very much! Patricia
Didn’t know it was multi-language. Tour guide did a good job but might have chosen a different, all English tour
Saul was a brilliant and conscientious guide. He was very personable and knowledgeable and made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. He handled little hiccups like a road closure and a cranky guest with confidence and grace and honesty. He gave the tour in Spanish and English. He was a superb communicator making sure we knew exactly what time we needed to meet at the bus and where to meet. He made the day trip fun and engaging. Corey was a safe and excellent driver. He maneuvered traffic circles and needing the turn around in a narrow road due to an unexpected road closure with skill and confidence. They were very organized and worked great as a team! Highly recommend!!!
Great Experience!!! Our Second trip today after yesterday with Evan Evans and it started with the banger most detailed yet easy to understand, informative yet simple by our favorite guide Cameron(The Midland boy) today he made sure we were not left behind and also took us around different colleges in Oxford in no time and then to Stratford upon Avon to legend's birthplace on very balanced informative yet not over exhausting tour of Stratford and gave us enough time to rest and then the mind boggling Warwick Castle. Today's itinerary was well balanced got enough time to rest and see around places experience them and feel them. Thanks Evan Evans but do significantly need improvements on the. Windsor Castle and Bath Stonehenge trip it feels like a hustle. I understand they are far away from each other but rushing the guest won't help to grow though it's an popular one. Last but not the least Prabhy the lovely driver drove us safely to the destination, greeted us well and nice communicated and answered all the question asked by us.
Cameron and prabhy are amazing! Just the right amount of info — not too much, not too little but also entertaining and informative for all age levels. Traveling with three teenagers a 21 year old and myself, all were entertained and learned something too. highly recommend this tour.
Cameron was an amazing and informative guide! Prabhy was an excellent driver, safe and got us around quickly.
Well organized tour with 3 stops for 1.5 hours each. Nice amount of time for each and good variation. The guide Cameron was knowledgeable and perfect for my teenager. He kept him paying attention the whole time with his delivery of information. Would def recommend !
I’ve done a few day trips before, but this one genuinely stood out because of Cameron. He wasn’t just giving dates and names—he made history feel like a conversation. I caught myself paying attention the whole journey. And a quick shout-out to Greg as well. Such a lovely driver—friendly, patient, and always had a smile on his face. You could tell he cared about making sure everyone had a good day. Thanks, Cameron and Greg. You made the miles fly by. I’d happily book another tour with you both.
Cameron and Greg were absolutely fantastic with the group. Cameron did a lovely job introducing the group to each and every detail of history along the way. My favorite bit of the day was when Cameron went on a spree listing out the origins of commonly used phrases which was really eye-opening. Great service and professionalism from the two, would definitely recommend.
the experience with evens evens was one of the best tours I been on. Over all Cameron and greg made the experience even more better. Greg was able to get us to places safety and very quick too. Cameron was entertaining, funny and enjoyable to be around. I learned a lot about London and I was very interested the entire way.
Cameron and Greg were tops. Love the cultural reference to the US Marine Corps. Crack on!!!
Cameron and Greg were wonderful
This was a great and easy way to turn your brain off and escape the busy London environment as a tourist! Cameron (our guide) incorporated highlights, fun facts, and phrases so effortlessly in his comical overviews. Greg (our driver) skillfully backed up our bus multiple times when faced with traffic at Warwick. Otherwise the trip itself was quick - if you want to La Dee da around the sites you might want a different trip, but this was perfect for us!
Good day out but disappointed because “Cottswolds” is part of the heading that grabbed me to visit BUT all it was, was a drive through. No stop for photos.
Oxford & Straford on Avon were very interesting - the hot weather put a damper on the tour due to the extreme heat not due to the guide or places. I learned a lot. Would have liked to have seen more of Warwick but heat prevented my experiences. Hope others enjoyed it.
Knowledgeable and friendly guide. Good variety of stops. Would be nice to stop at a village in the Cotswolds and also visit Christchurch in Oxford.
Definitely recommended Evan Evans tour live up to their reputation We have had a tour before with them too It was as usual very Good Tour Guide Mr. Pablo was courteous and very Knowledgeable about history of the places visited and he organised time very efficiently He is very Good
This was a great tour of Oxford, Warwick Castle, William Shakespeare’s house and great scenic views of the Cotswolds. I would recommend this trip to anyone looking to get a great views of Harry Potter scenes and to get out to the English countryside. Warwick castle is great for the kids and huge and well maintained castle. Pablo and Gyula were excellent and went above and beyond to make it great experience for my family!
Pablo the tour guide was awesome, very clear information given and we were comfortable
It's a long day and worth the time to see Oxford, Shakespeare birthplace and the Warwick castle. Pablo was a great guide!
Before I booked our trip I read the reviews ..for the trip in question and EvansEvans had the best reviews and I now know why. First off we were 5 minutes late for an eight o'clock trip to Bath, Warwick Castle, and Stonehenge. Richard the agent at the gate at London Coach station got us another trip that was leaving @8:30...everyone was so kind and helpful. We lucked out we had Cameron as our gregarious, informative, and witty tour guide. He entertained us with Shakespeare and antidotal quips about history , local sayings and corny jokes. What could have been a disaster turned out to be a very enjoyable day. Thank you Richard, Cameron and of course Gary our friendly driver.
Great tour of Oxford, Stratford upon Avon and Warwick. Cameron was a wonderful guide - infectious energy and such wealth of knowledge! We learnt so much about the history of England, and the origin of words and phrases. Gary was the perfect driver - we were on time everywhere!
Cameron was an excellent tour guide with a great sense of humor. He is very knowledgeable and was eager to answer questions. Gary was a wonderful driver who was friendly and safely got us from place to place.
Great weather and a great tour. Cameron and Gary - the two gentlemen of Verona were stellar! I was comfortably numb with the knowledge that this was great value for my Money.
Cameron, our guide, was very entertaining and knowledgeable. Gary was an excellent driver. Highly recommend if you just have one day to get out of the city and want to get a taste of some other parts of England
Our guide Saul was great and we enjoyed the tour and the itinerary! Our driver Corey navigated the roads very well too!
This was a great trip we almost missed looking for the bus location. Instructions should have been more detailed and included an arrival time a little ahead. All we knew was to arrive at 8:00 and we were right on 8 but the bus was full and about to leave without us, after wandering the station for a while trying to find it. Pablo did a good commentary on 2 languages, very knowledgeable, and Achmed was a capable and polite driver.
We came to spend a week in London. Mainly for Wimbledon but had an extra day so decided to book this tour - what a day! Beautiful scenery, grand guided tour by Pablo and great driving by Ahmed. Highly recommend!
Pablo was a great tour guide with lots of knowledge about each of the places we went - he even kept the teens engaged and interested. I enjoyed learning quite a bit that I hadn’t learned on a previous tour!
