Itinerary
Swap the hustle and bustle of London for a gorgeous escape to the English countryside. Take a step back in time at the thrilling Warwick Castle, visit the charming hometown of one of Britain’s most iconic playwrights and wander through the lovely streets of Oxford! Your coach will be departing from Victoria, central London at 8:30am sharp – make sure you are there at least 30 minutes before to check in and prepare for your Great British adventure!
The first stop of the day will be Warwick Castle, a striking place brimming with history and activities. Originally built by William the Conqueror in 1068, this castle is now a highly interactive venue that’s great for all ages. Wander through the beautiful Great Hall and State Rooms, spot peacocks in the landscaped gardens and explore the castle’s towers and ramparts. Meet and greet experience as they arrive at Warwick Castle by a special medieval host as well as an introduction to the spectacular castle. You can enjoy an exclusive private hidden gems tour at Warwick Castle. Led by an expert guide, see rooms that are not generally accessible to the public as you gain deeper insight into the Castle's history.
Your coach will be driving through the beautiful Cotswolds – be prepared for picture-ready views of this breath-taking part of the English countryside! Designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Cotswolds comprises sleepy villages reminiscent of another era, bustling market towns and irresistible scenery.
From an electrifying castle to an idyllic English town – the next part of your adventure will be the scenic Stratford-upon-Avon, known for being the birthplace and gravesite of playwright legend William Shakespeare. You will get to visit the very home where he was born and hear about his formative years in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Featuring cobbled streets, impressive architecture and an infectiously vibrant atmosphere, Oxford is an absolute must-see. As you wander through this University City and take in all the pretty views, your guide will tell you about Oxford’s fascinating history. You’ll also hear about the many renowned individuals that have graced the streets of Oxford while studying at the university – it’s an undoubtedly impressive list of alumni!
Your walking tour includes entry to the stunning 13th century University Church of St Mary the Virgin. Adopted by the University of Oxford as one of its first buildings, this gem is considered to be the spiritual heart of Oxford. Soak in spectacular sights of its unique baroque design and learn about its key role within the university and Oxford community.
Once you’ve explored Oxford, it’ll be time to return to London – to which you will get back to for roughly 7pm.

The guide was very good provided ample information about every attraction. He even gave a short tour of Oxford..The drive was also good a smooth journey. The only exception is there is no Cotswold village stop ..better to check beforehand what’s covered in the tour..Rest all good
fantastic programs with a fantastic guide :)
Noel and Oliver were excellent tour guides. Oliver has the voice and personality that fit his guide persona. The is the second time that we have booked with you. Very enjoyable bot times.
Great Tour with Oliver and Noel— Very Knowledgeable and Entertaining!
Great experience Noel and Oliver were great
Really good trip Noel was a very great driver. Had a great experience.
It was a wonderful day. Our tour guide Josh was incredible with his knowledge. We weren’t rushed which made it better than other tours I have been on. We also had a great driver on the day.
Great experience and beautiful locations
Worst tour ever. There was insufficient time at locations.. unable to do any of the experiences at locations because of the timing. I was so worried about not making it back to the bus on time. I spent even less time doing anything useful. Never again.
Wanted to thank the organizers and guides of our tour! The tour was unforgettable. The most favorable thing was that our guide Oliver and driver Lucian from Golden Tours were really helpful, gave many tips and information. We enjoyed the tour very much!
Was a lot packed into one day but things kept moving and was a good amount of time at each stop. Our guide Oliver provided knowledge and context to the places we visited but also we had personal time to explore at each stop. Highly recommended!
Lucian and Oliver were great. They kept things on schedule and we felt the stops had ample time to explore and shop.
Great! Thank you so much! A blast!
Our guide, Eileen, was knowledgeable and fun, with a great delivery and a fine sense of humor. Kee, the bus driver did a masterful job of navigating the narrow byways of the Cotswolds. In all, this tour is a wonderful way to immerse oneself in English history.
Oscar was an excellent guide and provided a lot of interesting history about the places we visited. He was also very helpful about pointing out landmarks and giving us clear reference points so we could easily find our way back to the pickup locations. However, the biggest issue with this tour was that it was conducted in both English and Spanish, and this was not disclosed in the reservation when I booked. Had I known it was a bilingual tour, I would have specifically looked for an English-only option. Having every piece of information repeated in Spanish after it was given in English took up a significant amount of the tour time. If a bilingual tour is necessary, I strongly recommend providing individual headsets rather than having both languages spoken over the bus intercom. That would allow everyone to receive the information they need without taking time away from the actual sightseeing experience. I also felt that Stratford and Oxford were rushed. I knew the scheduled times when I booked, so this isn’t a complaint about the tour operator failing to follow the itinerary. However, in my opinion, another 30 minutes at each location would have made a significant difference and allowed us to experience more of these cities rather than simply getting a quick overview. If you are booking this tour specifically to explore Stratford and Oxford, be aware that the time there is limited. Warwick Castle, on the other hand, had plenty of time and felt much more comfortably paced. Bottom line: Oscar was knowledgeable, personable, and did a very good job as a guide. My 3-star rating is primarily because the unexpected bilingual format substantially affected the experience, combined with the limited time in Stratford and Oxford. I would recommend that the tour description clearly disclose the bilingual format so travelers can make an informed decision before booking.
Fantastic day Oxford was my highlight of the day great experience
Both Oliver our tour guide and our bus driver Lucian were amazing people. Loved the History and sites that we got to see. Daniel and Nicole
Tours were good. Bus a little uncomfortable but felt safe the whole time. Informative. Also had plenty of time to our own
We took the Spanish-language tour to Oxford, Stratford, the Cotswolds, and Warwick Castle. It was a very comprehensive tour; our guide provided historical details about every place we visited and made the whole experience very enjoyable. Highly recommended.
It was a good tour, it rained at the end and we didn’t get to visit the Harry Potter library in Oxford but everything else, the driver and guide were good.
Our all day tour to Warwick castle, Stratford-Upon-Avon, and then Oxford, was conducted by Oliver Twisted and Rapi (the driver). Both these distinguished gentlemen were amazing and Oliver's sense of humor had grinning the entire time. Both ran a great tour, one getting us from place to place efficiently and safely, and the other being very informative with local history and other tidbits of information, some of which served very useful, particularly for London. I highly recommend taking a tour from Oliver and Rapi and I would again if I had the chance. I feel bad I couldn't tip because I don't carry cash, but they both deserved it. Best wishes from the Texans!
Delightful all day tour with guide Oscar and bus driver Lucian. Timely pick up and drop off. Professional and organized tour. Just enough time at each location. Oscar friendly, clear, thorough, and my guess is that he added even more information than standard. Lucian a safe, expert driver. Would use this company again.
Great way to visit multiple locations in the same day, very friendly guide, everything was perfect, including the weather 😁
Okay-to address a couple of things other people have complained about: 1) They're pretty clear that you won't stop in the Cotswolds in the description, and that's right-you won't. People complained about that on our tour, but that's on them for not reading. If that's important to you, pick another tour. 2) The tour guide took some people to task for being late, but he was VERY clear about times they needed to be back, and honestly-they WERE late. I had no problem with him being mad as the whole bus was mad at them for it, even if it was "only" about 8 minutes late. That being said, this is not a good tour. The tour guide Oliver did not engage at all on the Cotswolds leg of the tour; he did not point out photo opportunities as we were driving through, seemed unengaged with why this is unique/interesting, or really talk about this part of the trip. Without that, it was difficult to really get much out of the Cotswolds even if the description clearly stated we wouldn't stop for photos. Oxford, though, we DID stop, but his very quick walk through the city felt blasé with seeing the sites, never really letting people have time for pictures or actually guide us through it. We had an hour to walk around afterward, but we didn't have any idea of how to get around. We wanted to see the cathedral, but we had no idea how to get to it after a quick walking tour of the city, and ended up only being greeted by gates so we never even got to see it as Oxford is tricky to navigate without help (hence why we booked this tour). It was deeply frustrating; he also didn't share where any of the public bathrooms were (just a bathroom you had to buy dinner to use). Warwick was really fun, and Stanford was fine (if rushed), but the other two were so bad, and honestly given most people can only afford to do this once in a lifetime given the expense, this is not the tour to go on if you're on a trip where it's a dream to see these places, specifically given the risk of a bad guide.
Very disappointed with Golden Tours. The Warwick Castle tour was extremely rushed, and the guide was unnecessarily rude and disrespectful. Guests were made to feel embarrassed over a minor delay, which was completely disproportionate and lacked basic courtesy. The Cotswolds was also not shown, despite being mentioned in the written/WhatsApp communication when the tour was booked. What should have been an enjoyable day turned into a stressful and upsetting experience. Unfortunately, the overall experience was far below expectations.
The trip was wonderful, and our tour guide Oliver was funny and knowledgeable, and our driver Kieran was excellent. The only thing that keeps it from five stars is the fact that the title is misleading. We do not stop at Cotswolds, but only drive by it, which I was not aware of. I believe it’s a bit misleading to add it to the title and not stop there, when we stopped at all the other places listed. Why even add it to the title if it’s not an actual part of the trip??
The tour told it goes to Cotswold and title is written as well but doesn’t stop at the Cotswold , giving people false information and doing wrong marketing . Waste of money . The tour guide is nice but The driver is rude and not understanding
Oliver and Karen did an amazing job with transport and the historical knowledgeable of the places we visited. We would recommend this tour when touring outside of London. There is alot to see so time is of the essence!
A great way to spend the day. Oliver (tour guide) and Patrick (driver) were nice and approachable.
Nice day trip to see many places via coach from London. Oliver was humorous and knowledgeable about the locations including their history and some lesser known facts. He kept the group moving quickly to stay on time. I appreciated that he was conscientious about explaining local norms to everyone in our tour group to not be bothersome. Our driver Patrick was safe and efficient in getting us to many places in one day.
Oliver, our guide, was highly knowledgeable; he revealed locations I would not have discovered alone. Spending time with him was a pleasure, and I would recommend this tour with walks.
The trip was great and enjoyable. Patrick and Oliver were great, everything went smoothly and the information given Wes useful. Thanks for the both of driver and guide. I recommended
We enjoyed it! It's a full day for sure but I really liked the stops. Oscar was very friendly and engaging and he shared lots of interesting history.
It was interesting to see how the villages have managed to stay relevant across centuries, without the industrial evolution having much impact on them.
First time booking with Golden Tours, they were easy to find on the day of our tour and had a nice waiting room for us to wait until our bus was ready. Our tour guide Oliver and driver V were an amazing duo together. It was a very pleasant tour throughout England and I would book another tour with them!
Oliver and Jiorel were amazing guide and driver.
Well paced tour overall. Managed to complete the tour on time.
John and Oliver were both fantastic and friendly. It was a perfect amount of time in each place. A great balance of guided touring and time to wander on your own
Great trip, i enjoyed this journey, John and Oliver vere helpfull and friendly, I'll come back in future to the next trip.
Was a good trip… but would have loved if we stopped in Cotswold for a whole instead of just driving through. Guide John was a little rushed with an unnecessary sense of forced humour
Really enjoyed the way Oliver explained the history and legends of the places we visited. And John was a great driver.
What a wonderful day out from the start to the finish. This tour started in Victoria on a comfortable clean coach. We were welcomed by Oscar our tour guide and Noel our driver. From the start we were kept informed of what the day would entail. Before each stop and at the start of each stop we were given a rundown of the history of the place we were to visit and told how long we had to explore the area. I had already visted Warwick Castle, Stratford upon Avon and Oxford but this was the first time with a tour guide and Oscar mad it educational and enjoyable, adding to what I already knew. Oscar's commentary during the drive through the Cotswolds was great, pointing out key buildings especially the thatched roofs. Noel our driver was extremely polite and friendly, he drove our coach safely and with care and attention for his passengers. We arrived back at Gloucester Road, different to where we started but Oscar explained this before we set off, he even recommended places to eat in and around the area as well as where the nearest transport was from the drop off point. Thank you so much Oscar and Noel you made my day memorable.
Our guide Den was great! She was full of Historical and geographical information. Made the day very enjoyable and informative! Our driver Patrick kept us nice and safe.
Worst tour operator around. They have no courtesy for anyone. Won’t wait, won’t communicate! Avoid this operator at all costs
Quick visit to locations allows you to make a plan for subsequent visits
Great destinations but prepare for weather interference. A poncho, raincoat, or sturdy umbrella just might help you make the most of trekking outdoors during the freeroam segments, even if the forecast suggests clear skies. Our guide was knowledgeable and entertaining, invited questions and had high charisma. Our driver was also excellent and very adaptive on the road. Lots of time granted to explore and check out landmarks, do some shopping or drop by a spot for a snack or drink.
We had an amazing time touring and had a safe journey going to our 4 destinations and home. A big thanks to Mr. Oliver and Mr. Kee!!! We had a lot of fun and facts! I’ll definitely recommend this tour to our family and friends visiting the UK. <3
Oliver has charisma to spare and Key was a great driver
Very Good Experiences Josh the guide very professional. He speaks spanish fluente y.
