Magical Christmas Lights In London: Private Black Cab Tour

John is an excellent and fun guide! He took us throughout London and took us to see all the beautiful lights. We stopped and took great pictures in all the special displays!

Our family of three thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Seb picked us up at our hotel at 4pm and took us to see many Christmas lights in a variety of areas. He kindly took a few pictures of us too when he could. Because of traffic and the crowds, we may have missed a few spots like Covent Garden, but Seb made up for it by taking us to so many other places. He had a great sense of humor too. We arranged in advance to be dropped off at a restaurant we made a dinner reservation at which was very helpful too. Definitely recommend.

My husband and I had a wonderful time on our tour with Michael. He took us all over the city, and gave us really interesting background details on different areas of town. It felt like we had the inside scoop on the best parts to see in London from a local. And the Christmas parts he took us to were exceptional! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting London at Christmas!

Jaime was our driver and we had a great time with him. He showed us the beautiful festive lights throughout London and took fantastic pictures of us. Jaime provided us with stories and histories of the various sections of London and the sights. He was extremely accommodating of our requests. You will have a great tour with Jaime. We had a wonderful tour with Jon! He was a knowledgeable and personable guide. Jon picked us up at our hotel and dropped us off at our next destination (after the tour). This tour was the perfect way to start our London trip. Jon showed us the prettiest Christmas lights and decor of London as well as highlights of the city. It was raining and crowded (because of the holiday season), but we were still able to see everything in a few hours. If you are short on time, I would highly recommend this tour!

We had a fabulous tour with our very knowledgeable and entertaining driver, Terry. It was a wonderful way to get an overview and bearings of London early in our stay, so that we could revisit things we liked in more detail over the rest of our holiday. Terry’s tips, historical insights and recommendations of things to revisit were outstanding and put to good use later. The lights and Christmas festivities were magnificent and Terry’s ability to navigate the crowds to give us best vantages was really impressive. Thank you Terry and Black Cabs!!

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Tony was an excellent driver and historical guide and took us to many fabulous Christmas lights and hidden gem spots, tailoring the tour to our likes. We stopped several times for photos and short walks. Tony’s knowledge of the history of London was very interesting. Highly recommend.

Make this one of your first tours. It provides a good overview of central London, including famous stores and streets with so many lights.

Guide, Johnny had so much knowledge of the city, we had a great experience. Able to stop off on the way to look at areas and take photos. Well worth doing this tour I would highly recommend.

Our driver, Jonny was great. He took us round all the Xmas lights and stopped for some amazing photo opportunities and his knowledge on some of the London history was so interesting we learnt so much and he also pointed out some great places to visit. Will definitely be using him again Thank you for a fantastic Xmas tour.

Great space and guide! Unfortunately London demonstrations and traffic meant we could not get around really any of the listed destinations which was a bummer! Our guide was great and re routed to find some things around town for the group to enjoy- but was not able to see the listed features. In future would not book on a weekend, as demonstrations and weekend traffic make this experience difficult-

Jeremy was very knowledgeable of areas of history, music, culture; it’s more than a just the lights. He took us places based on our interests, he was a fun tour guide!

Outstanding! I booked this as a surprise for my family and not only was it a surprise, but Hugo (our private tour guide/driver) was amazing! More than our allotted time, we covered the lights all over town and Hugo got out and showed us areas we wouldn’t have seen otherwise!! Such a treat on our last day in town!

Our guide Jeremy is the best! He’s super knowledgeable about the in and out of London, and knows exactly where we need to go at what time. He is super friendly and funny, and has lots of good story to tell. He also customized the tour and made recommendations based on our interests. The highlight is that he took my son, Vincent, to the Vincent Square, and played the song Vincent and had us recorded the moment. It was so creative and special. Wow what an experience! Greg was such an amazing guide. We saw all of London’s magical Christmas lights and displays - even the off-road bits where a bus can’t take you! A night to remember. You have the perfect view from the taxi - front, huge rear window, sides and glass roof! You can stop whenever and wherever for Xmas photos and little walks. 10/10 - the best London experience I’ve ever had - feeling very Christmassy now! Thank you!

Super easy to book and contact in advance. Our driver (Chris) was really friendly, full of knowledge (about the whole of London, not just the lights!) and took us to all of the best spots. Couldn't recommend more for a Xmas treat and a joy to stay warm rather than walking through the cold streets!

What an amazing way to see the London festive lights, hear about the history of the lights and the area from an authentic London cabbie, and never ending gems of information. A night to remember!

We had a fantastic evening with Patrick, our Black Cab tour guide. Not only was Patrick very knowledgeable and informative, but he was also very humorous to top it all off. Our family loved it. We were able to see all the beautiful lights throughout the busy city streets and even managed to stop for a few photos. Our entire family recommends this tour! During the tour, I could not find my eyeglasses. We looked in the back of the cab and could not find them. However, the next day, Patrick called to tell me he had found them and would come to our location and drop them off. Impressive and kind. My only regret is that I didn't know more about Black Cab tours before we arrived. I would have loved to take advantage of other tours that are offered. Guess we will have to go back!

Dennis was a great guide and very knowledgeable. We felt like we we saw a lot for our first time in London. We highly recommend this tour and it was even perfect for a rainy evening.

Excellent service from Wesley! This is a must do tour during the holidays. It’s a bit pricey, but it pays off in the end. Wesley was very accommodating with our needs. He is also an excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable of London’a streets and history. He is very respectful, especially to my mother who needed extra hand. 12-18-2023

Lights were beautiful and we loved the fact that we exited the cab for short guided walks. Paul H was a fab guide, offering juicy tidbits of historical facts and taking us off the beaten path.

Our guide Mick was fantastic! He knew so much history of London and as we talked about history, he readjusted the tour so we could see parts of London’s Christmas lights that would be more special to us. We enjoyed this tour!

Jamie provided an excellent Christmas Lights tour for our family. We saw all the “light sights” and were able to hop out and walk around and get a couple of great family pictures. Since we had some extra time Jamie continued to show us some other great areas and since it was our first night in London it gave us a good overview of where things were. Jamie was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable, accommodating and talented. We are still humming his song, It was an Uber crash….. !

Every step of our London Christmas Lights tour with Black Cab Heritage Tours was an excellent experience. I would definitely use them again. Rob Woodford, who kindly helped us with all the information and booking was very quick to respond and very helpful and accommodating throughout the process even when we needed to change the date due to unforeseen circumstances. Barry Ivens, our tour host and guide was funny, informative, and very very enthusiastic. He really went out of his way to make sure we had the best experience and we got to see the best and most places. He took us to lots of interesting places including quite a few hidden/less known spots. He shared interesting information throughout the tour. And he was kind to take plenty of photos throughout the evening. We really had a great time! The electric black cab was very spacious, the glass roof was brilliant to view the Christmas lights. We went on a Christmas lights tour. Our guide Stella was delightful and very clever at working through the traffic so that we could see the wonderful displays. She was also quite knowledgeable about the history and famous figures, and shared a variety of stories. We highly recommend this company. They communicated promptly, made the booking process easy, and exceeded our expectations!

Wonderful night with family sightseeing the London Christmas Lights and attractions and special thanks to driver / guide Rachel and office staff at Black Cab Heritage Tours for making sure all the arrangements were so easy. Rachel was a great host and added to the whole experience with her EV cab decorated with lights and Bluetooth speaker for our Christmas songs! We are all planning some more visits to London based on some of the “hidden gems” discovered and recommendations from Rachel.

We absolutely loved our Christmas Lights tour with Dennis, he was knowledgeable, responded to requests from the children, showed us a load of places I don't think we would have seen otherwise and took loads of family photos of us too! We also loved the panoramic roof. Seeing the lights in this way was a much more relaxing experience than other options, highly recommended!

We had a magical tour of the Christmas lights with Andy! He was very accommodating and extremely knowledgeable. He was great with my two children aged 5 and 6 and also my parents. We had a fantastic evening and saw lights we would not have known about without him. Good mix of in and out of the cab! We would certainly do it again!

From start to finish we had an incredible time. Rachel was incredibly knowledgable, kind, caring and the warmest guide around London we could have asked for. Engaging with our 3 year old with utmost enthusiasm and ensuring our safety every step of the way. We saw all the Christmas lights off the beaten track around central London and even got all the background information on each light setup as well as history of London. Rachel is clearly incredibly knowledgable and enthusiastic about the history of London. She was incredibly accommodating with our movements for pick up and drop off and even bought our boy a selection box as a little magical treat!

Mark went above and beyond to provide a truly delightful and informative tour! He helped us access the Christmas light from angles we would not have known about as tourists. Stellar experience!

It was a stunning tour, with Bill as our driver and guide, showing himself to be extremely chatty and very knowledgeable. The experience was well planned allowing us time to stop, have short discussions and take pictures too. Although we have been to London before, this was certainly one of our top tour experiences. We are definitely going to opt in to a number of other excursions that are on offer. If other guides are of the calibre of the outstanding Bill, we are surely in for a treat!
