Excellent! My husband and I had a great tour on Friday with our guide, Saleha. It was a beautiful day, and she made it such a fun tour, with lots of interesting facts. I was surprised to find out that there are still things I didn't know about Harry Potter ! I would recommend the tour for any fan. Great fun !

Itinerary
It’s been here since 2016 and has links to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
Cecil Court, a charming pedestrian street in London's Covent Garden, is often associated with the Harry Potter series due to its resemblance to Diagon Alley. In the heart of London since the 17th century: the West End’s most distinctive shopping street, full of art, antiques, books, culture, and curiosities.
On July 7, 2011, Trafalgar Square hosted the world premiere of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2," the final installment of the film series.
Former headquarters of London’s Metropolitan Police, this historic location is linked to scenes inspiring the Ministry of Magic’s secret entrances. Guides often share how filmmakers used real London locations to blend the magical world seamlessly into the modern city.
J.K. Rowling, the author of the "Harry Potter" series, has acknowledged the influence of Shakespeare's works on her writing. This connection is highlighted during Harry Potter-themed walking tours in London, which often include stops at the Globe Theatre to discuss Shakespeare's impact on Rowling's storytelling.
The Millennium Bridge in London holds a notable place in the Harry Potter film series. In "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" (2009), the bridge is depicted collapsing following an attack by Death Eaters, symbolizing the growing threat to both the wizarding and Muggle worlds.
One of London’s oldest prisons, dating back to medieval times. Its dark history and narrow surrounding streets evoke the atmosphere of the wizarding world’s more mysterious corners, helping visitors imagine the darker side of magical London.
Borough Market in London holds a special place in the Harry Potter film series. In "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" (2004), the market's vicinity was used to depict the entrance to the Leaky Cauldron, the gateway to the wizarding world. Specifically, a small flower shop at 7 Stoney Street, known as Chez Michele, served as the filming location for this iconic entrance.

We recently took a Harry Potter walking tour, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite meet our expectations. The tour started off on the right foot with a friendly guide, and she immediately set a fun tone, making us excited for the journey ahead. She was full of enthusiasm, and had plenty of interesting behind-the-scenes details about the films that we really appreciated. Honestly, talking to her was one of the highlights of the day, and we had a great time exchanging thoughts on the books and movies. However, as the tour went on, things started to feel a bit off. The itinerary didn’t seem to flow as well as we’d hoped, and towards the end, we were surprised when we were sent off on our own to explore King's Cross Station. We expected to be guided through the iconic locations with more structure, but instead, we were essentially left to navigate the area ourselves. It was a bit of an anticlimax, especially after the guide had built up so much excitement. All that said, the tour did have its moments, and our guide was truly fantastic. She made sure to engage everyone in the group and was happy to answer any questions we had. Even though we were let down by the latter part of the tour, we still enjoyed the time spent with her. Would I recommend? No, don’t waste your time, you could perhaps take the same tour but with a different company.
Very fun tour! Connor was engaging and enthusiastic. He provided a lot of useful information and was very good at his job. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
Fun tour with lots of information. Inspired me to read the Harry Potter books and watch the movies. Lots more walking than I expected.
The tour was absolutely amazing! As a huge Harry Potter fan, every single filming spot that Anna showed me felt like a hidden gem in London. She shared film footage from each location along with captivating stories, which gave me goosebumps. The tour truly made me feel like I was in the movie, and it was an overwhelming experience! I've been on several tours before, but this one was by far one of the best.
Ana our guide was full of knowledge about Harry Potter and JK Rowling. We learned a great deal and she lead us all over London. It turned out to be a private tour which was really wonderful. We spent some extra time and she took some great pictures of us. I would recommend this tour and Ana to anyone who loves Harry Potter and is going to London.
No one was there to meet us. Never took the tour. It was cold and rainy, 3 other people showed up at the same time so it wasn't just us.
our guide Anna was amazing. Knew her Harry Potter inside and out. Made the tour all that more interesting. She was happy to be flexible and take the time to show and tell those places we had particularly interest in. Went with my family of 4.
Received wrong direction, so was not able to ho on tour. Make sure you receive correct locstion(s). Will try again next year
Our tour guide was fabulous. She was knowledgeable and made the experience fun. However, I am disappointed in the false advertisement of going to platform 9 3/4. It is not part of the tour, altjoigh it clearly says so in the description.
We loved visiting the places that inspired scenes in the Harry Potter books and films! Our guide was lovely. She paid a lot of attention to my grandson, which made him comfortable with her. I highly recommend this tour to those who love Harry Potter.
Juan was a great tour guide, went a great pace and was clearly passionate about everything Harry Potter. When you’re in London take this tour, you won’t be disappointed. Thanks again Juan
Wonderful tour guide. Very funny and loads of information. Saw lots of places either inspired for the movie or the filming locations and others.
Anna was amazing! So informative. Excellent Harry Potter / London knowledge! Had a blast! Thanks Anna!
Juan was an amazing tour guide, he explained very detailed and patience with the kids. 100% guarantee.
Our tour guide was great. We ended up having him all to ourselves. He took us to a few places that inspired JK and a few filming locations. He was very chatty with my niece and made her feel very important. He was very knowledgeable and I would highly recommend it.
Tour guide didn’t show up. The operator did try and offer us another time but we already had other plans. Disappointing.
Excellent tour, not only for Harry Potter information, but also historical. Very fun time. Easy meeting place.
I would love to say this was a fantastic tour… but unfortunately us and three other families missed the tour. We arrived at our meeting point well before our time and messaged the tour operator when we couldn’t find our guide( we messaged exactly at 12pm start time)- to which the operator didn’t respond until 30 minutes after the tour start time. Extremely dissatisfied by the lack of care or professionalism by tour operator as I was informed “ our guide was there well before twelve and we have pictures to prove it.”
The tour was supposed to be about Harry Potter. We were shown the Sherlock Holmes pub, Brigit Jones’ apartment door and the Batman statue on the top of the Odeon cinema. These have nothing to do with Harry Potter. We were supposed to take a ferry ride via Uber Boat. The coordination was so bad that `1/3 of the people left the tour. Lastly we were supposed to stop at Leadenhall Market, but the tour stopped at Borough Market. The tour guide kept walking ahead chatting with 1 particular person in the tour and didn’t pay attention to the rest of the tour if they were able to catch up.
Amazing tour, we’ve visited places in London we even didn’t know about! My daughter is just happy)))
The guide cancelled our tour the day before, offered another tour that was taking place until several days later, but would not work for us as we would already be back home by then. I have not had a response to my request for a refund.
The tour guide Ana was thorough and personable. I will definitely recommend this tour to my friends and family in the States.
Our party of 5 had our tour guide BRIAN to ourselves. He was very knowledgeable about not only Harry Potter but London also. We had extra time so he walked us over to Buckingham Palace before going on to our final destination platform 9 3/4.
We did the tour yesterday and we had so much fun. Mike, our tour guide, was not only knowledgeable but he was also friendly. He made the tour a lot of fun, especially helped by his enthusiasm for Harry Potter.
As many other reviews have stated, our tour was also canceled day off. Still waiting on refund. Have had good experiences with other viator tours, not sure why this one gets canceled so frequently.
You will not be able to relate to the tour if you don’t know anything about the Harry Potter movie … it was just random places that they shoot the movie
Thank you so much! It was amazing experience! My son and me are both Harry Potter fans and it was a real pleasure to see all the places we were expecting during the tour. Also the tour guide surprised us with some locations we didn’t have in mind! Fantastic tour!
I loved the tour! I am a Harry Potter fan, and the guide was one too, so the vibe was just right for this walk! The guide knew a lot about London, answered questions and suggested places to see outside the tour too. Really loved the boat trip during the tour!
Amazing way to discover London. And I liked the idea of using postcards with the movie scenes during the tour.
We never did go to the pub that inspired the leaky cauldron (description said we would). The tour guide was too quiet and could not recall characters names and events (guides should be fans of the books/movies). The tour abruptly ended at Kings Cross Station even though the description of the tour said that it would end back at Leicester Square where it started. False advertising. Waste of money.
Tourguide did not show up for the tour. After we called the operators ourselves they said he had an accident and was on his way to the hospital. Told us we would get a refund and that they would confirm this in writing but did not receive any email yet.
Great place to visit , the only down side is the gift shop is a joke the prices are well over price just for a key ring you will pay £12 totally rip off
We waited from 11:15-12:25 exactly where the meeting point was. The tour was supposed to start at 12:00! We finally gave up. Later I received an email telling me that the tour guide said we were no shows and our only recourse was to attend the next tour which was after we will have left London! I replied that this was unsatisfactory and never received a response. I will never use viator again.
Unfortunately a scam. No guide showed up. Terrible service from Best Tours. No information or anything. Do not book it! Not worth it.
Was cancelled on Sunday morning but wasn't told till I rung to find out how to get to meeting point and it was a birthday gift so myself and friends travelled from South Wales and didn't get to go on tour
No one turned up luckily I did not travel far but had you traveled miles you would have been massively upset. I absolutely found it disgusting customer service how it was difficult and literally impossible to contact the tour operator. It took me ages to get hold of someone from Viator. Literally no one could careless about the fact I had traveled to London for this tour. All I got was my refund no compensation for my wasted travel and time. I wish I had read the reviews before as it seems they have done this to other people and literally don’t give a dam about people it’s all about trying to take money. I hope this company ends up failing and goes bust. Companies like this don’t deserve customers absolute joke of a company.
The tour was informative and interesting and the tour guide was very pleasant and helpful we found out some interesting facts about London and Harry Potter that we did not know
I had a wonderful time on the tour. Our guide, Nick Longbottom, was fantastic: he was funny, friendly and enthusiastic. I hugely recommend it (for all ages). We got to see some key landmarks, not only in London, but also in the Harry Potter films. (Sophie,11)
AVOID! DO NOT FALL FOR IT. FRAUD! Totally unprofessional and misleading. Firstly our tour guide was very unprofessional giving us little introduction to the tour or information about Harry Potter. Secondly her way of showing historical locations within London were to show grainy footage clips of Harry Potter on her phone and state we do not need to visit that today as you've seen it on the phone. In fact majority of the locations were shown on the phone and the same was stated that we do not need to visit them today as you've now seen them. Thirdly, the "tour guide" hardly spoke, and when she did, she was so quiet that no one could hear her. Fourthly, the tour guide was so eager to cut our tour short, she stated due to seeing most places on her phone, the remaining tour will only take 25mins. At which case I ended it in within 15-20mins as it was clear I had been scammed. There are many other reasons to ilustate why this is a complete fraud. I have contacted Viator for a refund. I am awaiting to hear back.
The tour guide was hard to understand, spoke softly and I think we knew more about the movies than she did. She could not have been nicer but we didn't get much out of it.
The guide was very engaged but the content of the tour was rather poor. We saw some nice places in London.
We booked the Harry Potter Walking Tour hoping to get a good overview of London and see some of the more famous locations from the movies. Our experience was very weird though, and I wouldn't recommend this tour. It was supposed to be a small group tour, but a large class of middle school students from Spain showed up at the meet point. For some reason they thought I was the tour guide, because the real guide was late. When he showed up he was mad because there were too many people on the tour and a bunch of them were kids. He was sarcastic the entire time, and I'm not even sure if he liked Harry Potter. We ended up walking around looking at oddly specific location shots from the movies - many of which I couldn't even remember. The tour ended at King's Cross station for a photo op at Platform 9 3/4. The line was extremely long. Overall this was a bad tour.
Tour operator did not show!! Got no emails or anything to say that the tour would not go ahead. DO NOT buy!!!!
Should have checked the reviews before booking... This experience could be improved by the tour guide showing up, seeing as that didn't happen the only way to improve it now is for the following company: ferry@besttours.com To return the £20 x 2 we paid to sit on a wall next to the TXTS booth for 40 mins (we arrived at 11.50 so as to be sure not to miss the tour, or be late with coffee cups) We ended up in the National Gallery, which was free, well sanitized and had a decent one-way system, so I'd recommend that instead. Please find attached a picture from the Gallery which we have entitled 'Snape on his hols' I await a response from; ferry@besttours.com regarding the return of our £40
It was my sons birthday and we had booked this. Although there was a chance it may not happen due to Covid-19, viator took the payment so we thought it was on and trekked to London. Waited over 30 minutes and nobody showed. Called the number and the lady who answered claimed she had nothing to do With the tour. Terribly disappointed
The walk did not happen My son and I were alone and we did not even received an email and phone. So far I received no apology and await confirmation of repayment or rebooting. This was shambolic
An absolute joke. My family and I showed up in London at the meeting place in 90 degree heat and waited for our tour guide. They never showed up and never contacted us. We waiting for almost an hour. Of course there’s no phone number on the website and the phone number from Apple Maps is disconnected. They even had the nerve to text us asking how our tour guide was. This is a scam and we paid $210 for the family to take this tour. We will be taking action against them.
They no showed on us!! We went to the spot as directed and waited for over 40 minutes asked people and nothing. We called multiple times and no answer just a message in Chinese. I want a full refund. Best Tours of London is a hoax!
No one showed up, after walking the area for over an hour. no one answered the phone after multiple calls answering machine was in some language I don’t recognize, Chinese? Ridiculous!! I want my money!
