I purchased three Wowcher vouchers for a family trip on the Great British Tea Bus, expecting a lovely family experience. Unfortunately, the whole experience has been frustrating from start to finish. Initially, Claire was happy to help when I emailed to enquire about dates. However, things quickly changed. Communication became poor, emails went unanswered and I was constantly left chasing for clear information about available dates. The information I was given was also confusing. When trying to arrange a Saturday booking, I was told that the only tour available was at 1pm, which was already sold out, and that all Saturday Wowcher allocations were fully booked until January. There was very little flexibility or choice for Wowcher customers. I even phoned to try to arrange the booking and was told it was fine, only to be left chasing again afterwards. Eventually, after all the back and forth, I received an email saying they understood I was unhappy with their service and had agreed that a refund would be the best resolution. They confirmed that all three vouchers were unused and that they had contacted Wowcher to request a refund. It’s a shame because this was supposed to be a nice family day out. Instead, it’s been nothing but hassle, confusion and disappointment. The customer service was extremely poor, communication was unprofessional and I shouldn’t have had to spend so much time chasing a company just to arrange a booking. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend booking with them.

Piccadilly Circus is a road junction and public space of London's West End in the City of Westminster. It was built in 1819 to connect Regent Street with Piccadilly. In this context, a circus, from the Latin word meaning "circle", is a round open space at a street junction. The Circus is particularly known for its video display and neon signs mounted on the corner building on the northern side, as well as the Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain and statue of Anteros.
Trafalgar Square is a public square in the City of Westminster, Central London, established in the early 19th century around the area formerly known as Charing Cross. The square is named after the Battle of Trafalgar, a British naval victory in the Napoleonic Wars with France and Spain that took place on 21 October 1805 off the coast of Cape Trafalgar, southwest Spain, although it was not named as such until 1835. Nelson's Column is in the centre of the square, flanked by fountains and guarded by four monumental bronze lions. At the top of the column is a statue of Horatio Nelson, who commanded the British Navy at the Battle of Trafalgar.
The Tower of London, officially His Majesty's Royal Palace and Fortress of the Tower of London, is a historic citadel and castle on the north bank of the River Thames in central London & the city's most visited tourist attraction.
One of London's most defining landmarks. Tower Bridge is a Grade I listed combined bascule, suspension, and, until 1960, cantilever bridge in London, built between 1886 and 1894, designed by Horace Jones. he bridge was constructed to connect the 39 per cent of London's population that lived east of London Bridge, equivalent to the populations of "Manchester on the one side, and Liverpool on the other", while allowing shipping to access the Pool of London between the Tower of London and London Bridge.

We got a very generic message before our tour stating that other times were cancelled. I tried to call, emailed and got on Viator chat-no one had answers as to whether our tour was cancelled or not. A refund was requested from Viator. We are very disappointed that our final day in London was ruined.
What a Fantastic afternoon tea bus tour, Great selection of cakes, sandwiches and drinks On board staff, guide and driver of beautiful and eye catching Routemaster were brilliant and friendly Made my wife (The Birthday girl) and daughter loved it Highly Recommend Thank you again Richard, Vicky and Evelyn-Rose
A lovely treat for my friend’s birthday. Our afternoon tea was beautiful and our tour commentary was entertaining and informative. A thoroughly nice experience.
Theo was a fabulous narrator for the trip. All of the cakes and sweets were fabulous, clotted cream is the most amazing invention of all time. We felt like celebrities with all of the pictures being taken of the bus.
Fabulous way to see the sights of London. It was so relaxing enjoying in a wonderful afternoon tea on a double decker bus. The staff were amazing and made sure you had plenty of tea or whatever you choice to drink was. There are no toilets on the bus but public toilets are located just near the embarkation point.
The tour was cancelled 4 hours before the designated time, with no explanation. It was very disappointing, we were very looking forward to the tour.
Lucy and Patcja were fabulous!!! A proper tea was served. Enjoyed the tour and great information provided by Lucy. I wish I could buy a guidebook of the places pointed out.
Very fun and great way to see the city while having a delicious tea. Unlimited beverages, great choices.
Superb food Knowlegable crew Great way yo see a few sights& enjoy time together The bakes& sambos were top notch Lily& cameron kept us fillwd up on teas& coffees Excellent value
We booked this experience for a Christmas present. Food great, tour guides Will Cameron and the bus driver Alec were fantastic. 10 out of 10!
Our staff was courteous, entertaining and seeing the major sites was wonderful for a first time tourist. The reason for the rating is that my friend and I were seated at a perfect table however we were asked to move for 2 other guests who needed more space and the 2-seater single bench we were moved to was too small even for us. They truly should only use that seat for a single person. So the first few minutes of the tour were tainted by being asked to move.
Thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon tea bus tour. Came to celebrate a family birthday which they made special. This is a perfect experience for all ages. Will and team were very friendly, knowledgeable and great hosts. Great selection of food/cakes/drinks with good vegetarian options.
Absolute best experience i've had in a very long time! The staff on the bus really know London and the tour was sooo interesting! Everyone on board was oohing and ahhing the whole journey! lol We were laughing the whole journey with the other guests on the bus and with the staff, the prosecco helped! The food was delicious! fresh and very well prepared, the presentation was beautiful! I highly recomend this for anything! Bridal shower, hen do, birthday celebration, corporate event, anniversary celebration and even weddings! It was so much fun, i'm already thinking about when I can book it again!
What a fantastic experience! A tour around the besutiful city whilst eating afternoon tea. The savouries and the cakes were delicious and fine selection of teas and coffees were available, along with cold drink choices. The team on board were very couteous, nothing was too much trouble & the tour itself was very informative and funny in places - would highly recommend this tour!
I recently enjoyed afternoon tea on the The Great British Tea Bus, and it was such a fun and unique way to see London. The vintage bus creates a lovely atmosphere while travelling through central London, passing famous landmarks like Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus. The afternoon tea itself was delicious, with a great selection of cakes and sandwiches beautifully presented. The whole experience was relaxed, well organised and a fantastic way to combine sightseeing with traditional afternoon tea. I would definitely recommend it for visitors or locals looking for something a little different in London.
Absolutely fantastic experience. Beautiful bus with incredible food and brilliant staff. We went for a hen do and the team were great from start to finish. Tour information was really interesting too! Highly recommend, couldn’t have had a better time.
I received this trip as a birthday present from my daughter and we both thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Zoisha welcomed us on board and provided us with drinks throughout the trip. She checked that we were ok and even offered to take our photo together, she was professional, friendly and most importantly she smiled throughout. The food was plentiful and delicious with a lovely selection of cakes. We sat upstairs at the front of the bus so had wonderful views. I have to say the best thing for me was the commentary from Callum. He was very knowledgeable about the area and really funny too, and I definitely learned a few new facts from him. All in all it was a thoroughly entertaining experience and I would happily do it again. One word of warning, don't sit at the front unless you want your photograph taken by dozens of tourists in awe of the sight of a Union Jack painted double decker bus ;)
We visited on a Sunday afternoon and joined this tour! Will was the host who was fantastic, he was attentive and thorough and shared great tidbits about London throughout the tour. He even offered to take photos before we asked. The food was lovely! Really impressed with the quantities and quality of the food as we didn't know what to expect beforehand. The only improvement we would look for would be less of the tour spent in South London! Would have loved to have driven past Buckingham Palace!
A lovely afternoon tea on a London bus all decked out in flowers and bunting. The tour guides were so friendly and the service was amazing. Free flowing hot and cold drinks and the sandwiches, sausage rolls, cakes and scones were delicious. A great tour of some of London’s iconic landmarks made it a really enjoyable experience.
This is our first time to try the London Bus Afternoon Tea tour and it’s amazing. If you are looking for a fun way to do sightseeing at the beginning of your visit, this is worth it. The ladies are super trained and funny as well along the way doing the tour talking. The sweet and savory spread of various tea cakes and sandwiches are so yummy too. Anything you cannot finished can be doggie bag to enjoy further after the tour. Refillable drinks are a plus as well. We loved it and will definitely recommend.
Cancelled the day prior and won’t get the refund for a few more days, leaving us out of pocket to boo another anniversary celebration on time. Unreliable and terrible customer service
This is so much fun and a “must do” on your list of London activities. I was reticent at first because I’ve travelled to London before but booking this tour this was the best decision. We laughed a lot, learned some knew things, and ate yummy treats. My family had such a time and it’s a genuinely fun and engaging way to see many of London’s major landmarks. Many thanks to Alex, Sacha and the rest of the tour gang.
It would’ve been a great tour if we were able to hear the announcer/tour guide but there were tables that weren’t paying attention and were having their own conversations through the whole tour so we missed a lot of what was being said. The food was very mid and not very good. Tea was great but that’s hard to measure up.
Such a great afternoon. Lovely knowledgeable staff, Callum, Zoisha & Dan were fantastic! Afternoon tea was delicious, plenty to eat & drink. A good 2 hours around London taking in the sights especially at Christmastime 🎄
We had a lovely welcome on to the bus. The food was fab, enough to fill you up but not uncomfortable, plenty of hot drinks. We relaxed while driven around the sights with an informative commentary. Such a lovely afternoon made even nicer with the friendly staff Callum, Zoisha and driver Dan. Highly recommend and will definitely be going again.
Absolutely amazing and an unforgettable experience. One of the best experiences of my life so far. 10/10! Would highly recommend!
Perfect afternoon tea with all the sights of London. Will definitely use again. Food was fresh and plentiful. Lovely young lady served drinks and commentary of the sights.
Perfectly done. Easy to find right outside the Edgewater Tube stop. Can't miss the Union Jack bus! Once on the 3 person staff makes the tour most enjoyable. A decent selection of teas, and a good assortment of finger sandwiches, scones and sweet desserts. Why pay twice the price to sit in a snooty hotel? A terrific experience.
This was so much fun! It combined two things we wanted to do; tea and a double decker bus. It was also a great way to see some of the city and hear more about it. Doing your own wandering around is great, but it's also fun to hear what others have to say. We learned some neat little things about London. The sandwiches, pastries, and tea were all delicious! Do not ask me to choose my favourite! Our tour guide was amazing (and Canadian, which made us feel more at home). I believe her name was Lara (forgive me if that is correct and spelled wrong or I'm just wrong). If you have no desire to experience a British tea, this isn't the thing for you to do.
What’s not to love? A delicious afternoon tea whilst having a guided tour of London and listening to British music through the decades. Definitely recommend!!
We had the best tine on the afternoon tea bus - the food was amazing - really delicious sandwiches and the cakes were to die for. The tour is fantastic and I loved the guide who really brought everything to life, all the staff were so friendly and part of our experience!
Excellent 👍 time! Freshly baked and served afternoon tea time. Unlimited drinks for all the time during the journey. Guide and places driving are true, accurate and make the story. Recommended if you are hungry in a hurry and want to have traditional English afternoon tea and need tour around central London. Two things in one go saves your limited time!
My friend and I had a great time on the Great British Afternoon Tea Bus Tour. The cool vintage Routemaster double-decker from the 1960s set the tone for the whole experience. Sitting at the front of the bus on the upper deck, we had a good view and a more immersive experience. It was terrific to see the sights of London, ride a double-decker bus and enjoy a classic British tradition of afternoon tea all at the same time! They had a wide selection of top-quality (refillable) teas to choose from, served with delicious finger sandwiches, sausage rolls, cakes, pastries and freshly baked scones with jam and clotted cream. The 90-minute bus ride took us through the heart of London, passing by many of the city’s most famous landmarks, including St. Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square, and more. But with all the delicious food in front of us, it was hard to focus on the sights! Although the staff (who were attentive and very helpful) pointed out some interesting things along the way, there wasn’t a full narration on the bus. This experience is more about enjoying the tea, scones, and scenic views, but I think it’s definitely worth it!
The ride was supposed to be 90 minutes, but road construction lengthened it to near twice that much. They should have rerouted. Four male servers and a driver for just 7 women who signed up for the trip (who is the scheduler?!) I will say that the servers were very cordial, and Marco especially was great. Company needs to train new hires better- I asked what cold drinks they had and he couldn't name- had to go ask (there are only 5 choices!) Bus windows should have been emasculate, but there were still remanences of bird poop on the front 2nd level window. I was sat upstairs, and at first I was happy, but as the sun came out, it got very warm. I know those busses don't have air conditioning, but they need to install small fans in each corner to get the air moving. I was sweating and so I passed on the hot tea.. Desserts were tasty. Mimosa was very tasty.
The high tea was amazing. The best lemon cake I've eve had. The crew did a fantastic job of looking after my needs. It's a great way to see London
Very pleasant tour of London. Great guides, great afternoon tea the food was also very good. We were completely satisfied. Thanks Biggi and Utz It is recommended to do the tour at the beginning of a London stay as it provides a pretty good overview.
The bus driver as well as guide Laurin were very nice and the bus really great set up - plus the English pop songs, delicious sandwiches, scones, tea, coffee etc.!
