It is directly across the river from St Paul's Cathedral. The power station closed in 1981

Originally a meat, poultry and game market, it is now home to a number of boutique retailers, restaurants, cafes, wine bars and an award-winning pub. Starting as the site of a manor, Leadenhall Market has survived changes in use, rebuilding, and even the Great Fire to become a popular destination for city residents, visitors and workers.
Take a stroll down Brick lane Street Market and sample some of the delicious meals they have to offer
Dive into the Spitalfields Market and enjoy the fragrant smells of all the delicious food your about to eat
See the 1000 year old tower as we pass by and marvel at the strength of the structure which was built on the site of a Roman Fort

Liza was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and we enjoyed every minute of it!
Great tour with a great guide - had a great time learned a allot of history about London and its markets as well as the architecture of London proper and the old side of the city Guide was very welcoming, had great conversations as I was a solo participant on the tour Would recommend the tour
It was a very nice stroll through the city. Adam has been a wonderful guide, told us bits of history along the way. Overall a pleasant time and completly worth it.
Great tour, guide was very informative.
Chris was very nice and gave us lots of history along our way to the markets. Borough Market allowed us to get some food, which was great. Leadenhall (lots of restaurants) and Old Spitalfields (a variety of goods) were more quick informational stops than places for food, which was unexpected on what we thought was a food tour. The restaurant at the end was quite nice, and we did get a meal, but we expected a bit more eating along the way.
Really nice tour, full of funny stories and little details. Completely recommend.
We had a great time with Maddy, wandering around Borough, the City and the three markets. Lots of little stories made the walk so interesting and fun! Would definitely recommend!
My guide Chris was very friendly, told me a lot of interesting things while we were walking and also answered all my questions that came popping up in my head :-) The food in the Indian restaurant was also very tasty!
We were the only ones who booked this tour so it became a private your for us. John was very welcoming, knowledgeable and told us the stories about the city which kept us engaged throughout the tour. Weather was OK considering it is London. I highly recommend the tour.
Beck was a great tour guide. She kept the tour moving at an enjoyable pace, gave us super interesting facts (with pictures) along the way, and was very friendly and upbeat. We enjoyed it!
Although it was just myself on the tour and I wasn’t disappointed. John was an amazing tour guide, full of interesting stories and he regularly pointed out historical landmarks that even most Londoners would probably just walk by without knowing its significance. The food at the end of the tour was yummy. Would recommend this tour
Very nice tour. Very nice markets and hadden treasures. Pady, our tourguide was amazing. Hope to see him soon on another trip. Greatings Bob & Marion from Belgium.
We lived Maddie. She was so knowledgeable and personable. We went to 3 awesome markets and the Indian lunch was so good. If you want a combination of history and food etc..this is the tour for you
Probably the smallest tour party of the year as it was just the two of us and Chris. This meant we got all of Chris' attention which was excellent as he was able to give us the low down on absolutely every aspect of London from the ferryman chair to the architecture of the Lloyd's of London building. Very tired feet at the end of the day. The only letdown was Aladin's restaurant, the food was OK but the service and cleanliness left a lot to be desired.
Amazing & insightful. Chris was warm, welcoming and incredibly knowledgeable. Would recommend to everyone exploring London!
Lucked out and our group was the only ones on our tour. Guide Patty was fantastic, knew lots of history, had such an interesting take on the spots of the tour, personalized to our group, and was a fantastic storyteller. Such a great way to see the city, the markets were incredible, and got some delish food both in samples/purchases at the markets, and at the sit-down meal at the end. One of the best values on the Go City pass. You will walk a lot over the course of 2.5 hours or so, but was easy walk with lots of stopping. Highly recommend, especially if you can get Patty!
It was fun. The markets are amazing, I wish we would have had a little more time to see them. There's so much ground to cover that it feels a little rushed. Our guide Carey was very knowledgeable.
I am giving this tour 2 stars because our tour guide was nice and did a great job providing information on the sites we visited. I decided to take this tour because I really enjoy Indian food. What a disappointment! Aladin is the worst restaurant I have ever been to. The place was dirty, the food was tasteless, and the portions were small. TTT should strongly consider parting ways with Aladin Indian Restaurant.
Title is misleading. Not a walking and tasting tour of Indian food. Guide did not wait for those at the back of the group to arrive before starting to speak and was difficult to hear even if you were close by since the route was highly congested and he didn’t have a voice that carried. Pretty poor views of some of the “sights” he was pointing out. Disappointing.
Except the food at the Aladdin restraunt, everything else was good. Guide was excellent and well knowledgeable. Thanks
Loved all the back alleys we explored! The markets were fun and the food delicious! Also met some new friends!
Enjoyed the information shared by Chris. Good stories and some interesting perspectives on food. Perhaps should be described as food themed as many in the group expected a food tasting tour. Meal at the end was nice but not spectacular.
Excellent tour! Our guide, Paddy, was funny and engaging. He fascinated us with many stories about the markets we visited, and all kinds of landmarks in the east end. Loved the spice about Shakespeare and the tales of Old Tom. We were thoroughly entertained. The meal was delicious and generous. We enjoyed our morning so much, we signed up for another tour with Paddy tomorrow!
Fun walk about. Our Guide Chris was fun and knowledgeable. Not a typical food tour. Only one stop at the end for delicious Indian food. Stops at other markets with time to look around a bit. A bit too long? We had a family with a stroller so perhaps that slowed us up?
Bec made this tour an incredible experience. She was fun, friendly, lively and both really passionate and knowledgeable about London and it's history. The timing and amount of walking was good too. Definitely a great tour and we totally recommend it - if you are lucky you will also get Bec as your guide. :-)
Through all our travels, my wife and I have never had a tour guide as friendly, knowledgeable, courteous and willing to share as Bec. We normally dont book guided tours precisely because they lack those qualities, but Bec was fantastic, a must on our next London visit!
Our guide Patty was fantastic - the restaurant was not very good (very mediocre food and an aggressive waiter´s attitude). I still give five stars for the organisation, but I recommand they choose a better restaurant.
Beck, our tour guide is amazing! She is from theatre so extremely knowledgeable and engaging! Lots of stories about history, London, and Shakespeare. The food at the end is also good! Highly recommended.
We did the Tour with Maddie and are both real big fans of her! She is so kind and funny and tried to give us all the extra Information and insights. The tour was really fun with her, we got to see some quite interesting and nice places.
Maddie was our tour guide. She was really good and engaging throughout the tour. We were glad we did the tour. It covered a lot of interesting places and areas we would have missed.
We had a lovely guide named Bec. Full of knowledge and was great fun. It was a fantastic time. Well worth the money. Good meal at the end
A very interesting tour with Chris making a big effort to help us understand as much as possible despite our limited English skills. A very good restaurant at the end of the tour, with a mango latte on top.
Beck was a great guide. She was very knowledgeable and had lots of funny stories to tell during the walk. The food at the end of the tour was wonderful! Highly recommend!
we had so much fun by viewing all these fantastic places, which we wouldn't have seen on our own. Our guide Paddy gave us so interesting information and special anecdodes, it was a wonderful, which will remain in our memories.
Our guide (Paddy... maybe?) was very friendly, told us interesting stories and gave us useful advices. I liked this tour because it let you see places you wouldn't discover otherwise in London. Didn't like that indian restaurant so much but still worth it 👍🏼👍🏼
This was a terrific tour. We learned new things at every stop from the Globe Theater to Borough Market to Leadenhall Market to Old Tom to the names of buildings to Christopher Wren. Our tour guide Paddy was excellent. Very knowledgeable and very personable and very engaged. We highly recommend it. Worth every pence.
Our guide, Maddy, was exceptional. She made each story so lively, I didn't feel like we had spent 3 hours with her! The dinner was at the end of the tour and she left us there. The meal was delicious and I stayed there about 30 min. The whole tour took about 3h30. There was a little boy with us, he obviously didn't want to do the tour but he was brave! That's why I would tell parents to think twice before taking their young kids with them. Overall, I highly recommend this tour, especially ifbyou are lucly enough to do it with Maddy!
Paddy was an awesome guide and very knowledgeable. He shared fun facts that my teenagers even enjoyed. The food was fantastic and we would definitely recommend this tour
Amazing tour. This tour gives you info about 3 different food markets. You also get information about landmarks on the way. At the markets you get some free time to explore the market. the dinner afterwards was also delicious. It was a tasting menu of 3 differents meals.
This guided tour was one of the best I’ve been on! Our guide, Madi, was so personable and so deeply knowledgeable of the area, my partner and I truly enjoyed all of the historical and cultural information we learned from her as we walked from each market to the restaurant!
Paddy was an amazing guide - he had so many great stories to share and was very attentive. We had a good amount of time to explore each market. Our whole group had a fantastic time and we would definitely recommend that you take this tour!
We had a tour with Beck. It was great! Interesting and funny stories, not just facts. Recommend it absolutely! Indian food was very good as well.
The best part of the tour was the number of iconic places we saw along the walk! Financial center in LeadenHall market, Bank of England, monument of great fire of London, not to mention the delicious sausage roll we had at Borough market! Chris , our tour guide, was fantastic! Very knowledgeable about the historic sites.
Beth was very knowledgable and did an excellent job showing us the sites and history of London very enjoyable.food at the restaurant was not too spicy
Being named as a food tour, I felt that there was very less food element in it. It was mostly just extensive walking, and the guide told us some history bits in between. Even the sit down dinner in the end was a disappointment.
Our guide was very dynamic and shiwed us things we would have missed on own . Indian cuisine was delicious! We had a beautiful Experience !
Maddie our tour guide was amazing and told us a lot about the city. We are first time visitors and it was very educational. We’d recommend this tour to our friends.
Sam was an energizing guide -- who gave super commentary. The markets were fantastic! The only thing that was definitely not up to par was the Indian restaurant experience. Only 2 dishes were served -- without naan or anything else. For a tour that features Tasting -- and with so many great Indian restaurants -- this is a real miss.
The tour was nice and our guide Sam was fantastic. He was very informative and we learned a lot of English history that we did know about. I highly recommend
