Kayla was a great guide and the tour was informative. The stops were all delicious. Group range 7-34 and all had a good time. The kids thought it was the best part of the day. There was a lot of history discussed beyond the donuts and treats, great tour.
The tour was great! The snacks along the way are amazing! The tour was very laidback and it was like I was chatting with friends rather then a typical tour. The tour guide is very knowledgeable about London andalso made sure we stayed hydrated on the hot afternoon. Would highly recommend!
Absolutely loved this. Luke was so fun and knowledgeable. A perfect end to our London trip. Thank you Luke - would 100% recommend and we'll definitely be up for round 2 next time we're London bound!!
We had a great time eating doughnuts and chatting about London with Sarah! The doughnuts are amazing!!
I don't feel I can leave a proper review as I don't feel our experience was representative - my 12 year old son and I were the only people on the tour and we're probably not really quite in the target audience as I'm a Londoner and have been to the area lots of times (although the tour was more for son). Callum was great however, adapted it a bit for us and I did learn a few new interesting things! My son said that he enjoyed it. It's basically a walking tour of the area with some doughnuts and tea thrown in which I think is actually quite nice rather than being a solid 2 hours of walking tour. The doughnuts and tea are of the takeaway rather than sit-down variety and you are given a bag in case you want to save your doughnuts for later, so it's ok to do it after a large breakfast! It was also nice that coffee was included. The tour itself is a bit of a mix of history with some fun facts. You walk down around Borough Market and then along the river roughly from the Tate Modern to Tower Bridge. It's one of my favourite parts of London and a good part to see if you are visiting London for the first time. It doesn't include Borough Market itself, completely understandably as it is really busy, although it's probably one of the most interesting parts of that area. If you're doing it, I do recommend visiting the market before or after as it'd be shame to go there and not wander through the market.
We had a nice walking tour, learning about Southwark and the market. We sampled some food and tea and saw some sights without feeling rushed.
Ari gave us a good tour of Borough Market and the history of the surrounding area. We stopped at a few food stalls, the Market was packed on a beautiful, sunny Saturday morning. We also wandered around the streets, seeing various historic sites, including the oldest pub in London. Overall the information was great.
We took this tour as part of our Christmas do last week and all of us (group of 7) thoroughly enjoyed. Callum was our guide and as other reviewers have said he was great. He was fun, interesting and laid back and it was lovely just wandering around with him listening to some interesting and amusing stories. The donuts were delicious and the stop at the tea shop was good as well - who knew there were so many interesting flavours. We can thoroughly recommend taking this tour.
The tour guide was really nice and patient with us since we had kids and arrived a bit late but the tour was not what we were expecting. We hardly spent about 10-15 mins inside the borough market and mostly went to shops and sites outside the market area. Wish i had remembered to try the chocolate strawberries. Anyways, not the tour if you are looking to explore inside the borough market. Its more like a history and tasty treats on the way kinds tour. We cut the tour short as we had a limited time. Appreciate the patience of the tour guide.
It was just my husband and I, and our guide was wonderful. We were able to get a historical walk, extra added special spots on our tour because it was just the three of us. Our guide was so wonderful and the donuts were delicious. The tea store was fabulous and we came away with some great goodies.
We really enjoyed this tour. First, our tour guide Andy was fantastic! He was knowledgeable and funny. We enjoyed the donut stops and especially the tea shop he introduced us to. The donuts and tea were wonderful! Andy made stops between the donuts and tea to point out other interesting sites and places. We were a group of mixed energy levels and the walk wasn’t too slow or too fast for any of us. Which was very important for our group. We had a difficult time finding our starting location. Fortunately for us Andy came looking for us!! The only thing I would change is a little more time at the Borough Market. It was such a cool place and I would have loved more time to explore it. Overall, I would highly recommend this tour and Andy in particular. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
Our tour guide Calum was terrific. Very patient, funny, and had great stories. Got a few extra stops that really made the tour. Oh and the donuts were amazing!
10/10 tour experience! Our guides Andy and Oscar were so awesome! Not only did they answer all of our questions but they were so knowledgeable about the area! We had so much fun laughing and are sad it’s over already. A must do if you have the time!!
I usually book a food tour when visiting an international city, but this time I decided to book a shorter food tour to allow time for other excursions. The tour guide had two trainees shadowing him, so it ended up being a private tour for myself and my husband. I'm giving it three stars because of the following reasons. I wanted more time walking around Borough Market, the two donuts was not enough, and there was no option to try coffee (even though it said coffee and/or tea in the tour details. Additionally, he took us to The George Inn where Shakespeare was a regular, but we did not go inside. That was disappointing. We walked around Southwark and ended at the London Bridge. Overall, it was a good experience but there are opportunities for improvement.
The tour was a trove of phenomenal knowledge and I am so thankful we got someone like Oscar as our tour guide! There were trainees on the tour as well and they were very friendly and welcoming to us Americans.
Alex was a tremendous guide. Thoughtful and exceptionally knowledgeable. The tea and donuts were pretty good too!
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Oscar! He was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. He answered all of our curiosities and questions, which were not on the topic of doughnuts! We loved the variety of doughnuts that were offered, and the tea shop was one of a kind. Thank you, Oscar, for all of the history! It was a great day in Borough Market!
Bhavani gave us a wonderful tour of Southwark and the Borough Market. Starting at St John’s Bakery on the Borough High Street with a delicious doughnut, she walked us toward the market commenting on the historical features of the area. We tasted delicious tea at Bird and Tea and then made our way inside the incredible market to explore the wonderful sites inside this extensive area of incredible sights and smells. Bhavani represents the kindness and generosity of the British people at their best.
Delicious donuts and an excellent guided tour to the market and surrounding area. Recommend giving this tour a try when in London.
Alex was great, but we were expecting another donut or another tea, there were only 2 donuts and 1 tea to try.
Alex was a wonderful host! He was knowledgeable about the city and the food and beverage “tastings” were more than expected. We went back after the tour and bought a matcha starter pack!
This was a great tour of London with the added bonus of amazing donuts and tea we likely wouldn’t have found without our tour guide. The donuts were some of the best I’ve ever had and our tour guide, Luke, was very knowledgeable and funny. Highly recommended this tour, great for families and kids as well.
It was amazing! Donuts and tea were so yummy! We saw much more than we thought we would and our tour guide was so kind and awesome! 10/10 recommend
This tour was great fun around a really interesting part of London. Alex was the perfect guide so friendly and also so knowledgeable about the area. I went with my husband and we have lived in London for years but learnt lots of new facts about this area and its history. The doughnuts were fab too! Thank you Alex!!
We were extremely lucky that we basically had a private tour with Luke as we were the only participants! Our gain was definitely others loss. Luke was extremely personable and did well to keep us entertained for the two hour tour. The donuts were amazing 😋 and the visit to @birdandblendtea tea an education - who knew there were so many varieties?! Luke’s knowledge of the area and other places/recommendations were all spot on. To be fair he didn’t look bored when we were rabbiting on about stuff 😂. Thank you very much - we would definitely recommend this tour and look forward to other areas coming on stream soon. A &J
The perfect thing to do after an overnight flight. Fresh air, delicious doughnuts and a great guide in Alex. Recommend!
Did this tour with Luke as our guide. Not only did we get to eat lots of delicious donuts but we learned a lot about the Southwark area of London. This was my kids favorite tour of the week. Luke was a great guide, and kept up a stream of facts and conversation throughout. Would highly recommend.
This tour was great and my kids loved it. Our tour guide Luke was informative, fun and showed us a great hidden side of London. The donuts were amazing too!! I highly recommend!
The London Underground Donut Tour with our guide, Oscar, was a fantastic experience! Oscar was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and great with people of all ages — especially kids. His passion for both London’s history and its donut culture really made the tour stand out. The tour itself was a perfect blend of fun and learning, making it enjoyable for both visitors from America like myself and even our cousins from East London who were familiar with the area. The donuts we tried along the way were delicious, and Oscar shared interesting facts and stories about the stations and neighborhoods we visited. Whether you're new to London or a local, I highly recommend this tour. It’s a unique way to experience the city while satisfying your sweet tooth! Thanks, Oscar, for making it such a memorable experience!
Highly recommend this doughnut tour if you are looking to eat tasty doughnuts and learn about the history of different places in London. Our guide Bhavani was excellent you could tell she was passionate about the job, told us interesting facts about different places we walked past without telling us too much information so making it more of a history tour. We had plenty of time at each doughnut shop to choose our doughnut and even got to do abit of cheese tasting at borough market. I would not hesitate to go again
I was on a wonderful doughnut tour with Bhavani last week. She was friendly, knowledgeable, informative and considerate, all of which made for a very enjoyable end to my stay in London. And yes, the doughnuts were delicious. She also provided interesting info about some non-donut locations.I highly recommend this tour with Bhavani.
Bhavani could not have been a more gracious and kind tour guide! Our trip to London could not have been complete without her masterful knowledge of the area we covered. And the donuts were the best!! Thank you again for providing us with such a generous and thoroughly enjoyable introduction to your beautiful city.
I took my university students on this tour as an early introduction to London, and it was really fun. It's 2 donut tasting (both delicious, with big servings - we got our own full donut at each) and a stop at a really wonderful tea shop that made us individual teas (many of us chose the strawberry lemonade, which was flavored tea with fresh lemon and strawberries, strawberry syrup, and sparkling water); I was so glad to know this shop for later (I did purchase some tea) and also to discover St. John's bakery, which we really liked. This was more of a walking tour with tastings than a food tour, but I really liked all that we saw and learned. Our guide, Luke, was wonderful! I was especially impressed with his ability to handle 25 people (no east feat) and in the rain, no less. Also it’s clear he did his homework on our university and our state and was able to relate well. I highly recommend this tour!
Was an insightful tour with a little history and delicious treats. Definitely recommend only taking a bite or two of each donut so you can try them all when you are on the tour! Don’t make the same mistake I did and eat the first donut completely, then you won’t want to try the rest! Wouldn’t recommend for large groups as all the places/ stops are small and crowded; it would be hard to hear the guide with a larger group. Overall, a cute experience. Slightly overpriced, but still good.
What a fantastic experience! Luke and Oscar were brilliant guides, and more than just doughnuts they had so many wonderful facts about the local area, the architecture, the history of London... It was a really pleasant walk, and honestly it didn't feel like 2 miles at all! The doughnuts themselves were varied and exciting, with plenty of flavours to choose from, and the tea break was a refreshing moment amidst the adventure. All in all I had a lovely walk, the guides were attentive and friendly, I got to hear about the history of the city, and it was just a really great experience. Thank you!
An absolute delight! The Borough Market doughnut tour exceeded all expectations. Bhavani, our guide, was a fountain of knowledge, making the experience both educational and fun. The inclusion of two free doughnuts and tea was a sweet touch, adding to the overall enjoyment. Highly recommended for doughnut enthusiasts and foodies alike!
Had an amazing time! Bhavani, our guide, was absolutely fantastic – so friendly and knowledgeable. The donuts were delicious, and learning about all the history was really interesting. Definitely recommend it for a fun day out!
My experience of the London doughnut tour was nothing short of fantastic ! Our lovely tour guide Bhavani was so knowledgable and made it so fun !! Cannot recommend enough
Absolutely incredible tour filled with so many fun facts and tasty doughnuts. Bhavani made the trip enjoyable throughout despite the classic British rain! She answered all queries and recommended the best doughnuts and tea!
One of a kind experience, especially if you have Bhavani!! She is a wonderful, easygoing, and knowledgeable tour guide. Thank you for making our experience great
One of the best tours of London I’ve been on! Despite it being very rainy and wet our tour guide Oscar kept our spirits high and treated us to some gorgeous donuts and tea! Definitely worth going on if you have a sweet tooth and want to learn more about London. Thanks Oscar for an amazing morning
Really enjoyed this Donut tour around London. The weather wasn’t great however Oscar did an amazing job to keep spirits high. Oscar is very professional and informative. If you find yourself in the Borough/London Bridge area you must book this tour
The views and information were amazing and the commentary helped create a wonderful overall experience. Topped off with great food and sweet treats.
Such a fun tour! Our guide was great to talk to and very knowledgeable. Even in the rain we had a wonderful time and experienced some fantastic donuts and tea varieties. Great tour for locals or tourists as it has an interesting tidbit for everyone!
A delightful little history trip around the Borough Market area with two amazing doughnuts and a glorious tea. Our guide, Oscar, educated us on the history of the markets just south of the river, how the hops markets worked and various other delightful details. The doughnuts were amazing and both very different. With the first shop having a refreshing lighter option and the second having far decadent offerings. These were split by a stop in a wonderful tea shop with so many flavours and offerings you will find one just to your liking. Thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn about London whilst eating at the same time.
A brilliant experience walking around and learning the history of Borough Market in London. Oscar the tour guide was fantastic! Great knowledge and made it a very friendly and fun time out! The doughnuts were amazing! Can’t recommend this enough!
A fun (and yummy) way to learn about Southwark and London Oscar was great as our guide. Both knowledgable and attentive he made sure all of on the tour were addressed, and had some great history on London and doughnuts. Borough Market was a highlight and if you have never had a crème-brûlée doughnut you are missing out. Well worth the sugar rush!! Great value, and highly recommended.
A beautiful discovery of the neighborhood and beautiful tastings. Our guide Calam was really great!
