London Christmas Lights Guided Tour By Cab

Yesterday David picked us up from home and we were driven into London in a lovely London black cab. We were driven around London to see all the Xmas lights, including travelling over and back both Waterloo and Westminster Bridge to see the sites, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, St Paul's and The London Eye to name a few. We were given water and sweets to enjoy on our journey. Ive known London for years including many visits but being driven around in a black cab with an exceptionally knowledgeable guide was the icing on the cake. There was no rush at any time and many times we got out for a better look!! I would strongly recommend this experience and would not hesitate to do it again. London Xmas lights were lovely. After a 3 hour tour David drove us home. Stress free. 10/10.

We recently went on the Christmas lights tour and it was fantastic. This is the 5th time for my family, 1st for myself and I will certainly be returning for the 6th. Had the most amazing experience with Hop In and Out Taxi Tours to see the Christmas lights! Dave was absolutely fantastic — so knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about London. He truly made the whole tour feel magical. It was such a unique and special way to see the London at Christmas, completely different to anything I’ve done before. Dave took us to so many beautiful spots, including hidden gems around London that you’d never find on your own. He even provided snacks and waters, and happily let us stop, hop out, and explore whenever we wanted, it made the whole tour feel so VIP, personal, and thoughtfully designed. Dave was a fantastic host and tour guide - he adapted the destinations based on our existing plans in London and we got around so much more than we could have on our own. Dave had also curated lots of the best Christmas displays and could take us directly to them with great stories to go with them - loved the Selfridge’s windows, Cartier and Chanel. Our 3 hrs actually went to 3 1/2 hours as Dave took us to Big Ben and Waterloo Bridge as requested by our kids, so great value and no lost sights due to the (crazy busy) traffic. Lollies and water were provided and we were able to bring our own food in the cab. The cab was able to park in lots of convenient places so we could get out and walk and get photos. highly recommend this experience!

We took our children as there first Christmas experience of December 2025 for a Christmas lights tour of London , Dave was fantastic he surprised the kids with there elf on the shelf in the rear of the cab. He took us on a route which gave us so much more than expected, noticing our son mentioned historical facts a few times he added in some extra sights and places which he knew all about! He timed liberty and Cartier perfectly for some extra treats, the kids loved the Ralph Lauren window with interactive buttons

Fantastic experience that i would highly recommend. Had a great time with our guide Dave seeing the Christmas light of London in his blackcab. There is a real difference in quality when you have a real pro as your guide and it made a big impact. Friendly, knowledgeable, and punctual, can't recommend highly enough.

Had such an amazing experience with Dave he is so relaxed & friendly . The tour was comfortable and we had our little cans to drink, Didn’t rush you at all kept to timings. He manage to get us close to seeing all the lights. Highly recommend the taxi tour.

We had a great time getting to see all of the different parts of London with Dave our Driver. He was also a black cab driver so he was able to park and stop in areas that were totally packed. This allowed us to see more and get out and do some extra walking. He was super friendly and knowledgeable and he helped plan some other events the nvest few days.

What a magical experience! David more then exceeded our expectations not only showing us the amazing Christmas lights but also showing us various landmarks with friendly related commentary. Would highly recommend !!!

Another fantastic tour of London and the glorious Christmas lights with Dave. Cannot recommend Dave highly enough! Always so accommodating with an immaculate cab. His knowledge and interesting facts and trivia only adds to the magic of being ferried around town in comfort and style. He always ensures we see all the crowd pleaser lights along with off the beaten path hidden treasures. We highly recommend Dave’s taxi tours. Dave is a warm, brilliant host who is very considerate and knows so much about London. He is a great communicator when sharing so much information about the major sites as well as some really interesting lesser known ones We are so glad that we found Dave’s tours after completing a lot of research. This is our third tour with Dave. My father has limited mobility, and Dave is always very thoughtful in planning the tours and is attentive to what would work best given the mobility needs and everyone’s interests. Dave is very well organised in the lead-up, and during the tour. The tours have enabled us to see so many sights in London together; which we would not have managed to see otherwise Dave also knows some really lovely and historic London pubs to visit for food! This time we completed a London Christmas Lights tour, and Dave even planned a visit to the cenotaph, and arranged the start of the tour to reach Horse Guards in time for the 4 o’clock inspection, which was a brilliant surprise as my father had hoped to see this. Next, we set off on a wonderful tour of the Christmas lights. Dave knows all the best locations and timings to see the unforgettable lights of London. Thank you very much Dave, for another fantastic day with you and for all your considerate planning and time. It has given us so many lovely memories. We are looking forward to the next one now.

I did lots of research before booking a London lights taxi tour for a family of 6 including my son with Autism. I’m so glad and lucky we found Dave. I can honestly say he couldn’t have been more helpful, friendly and thoughtful. Brilliant communication beforehand , spotless taxi and even extra cushions for us to sit on to make the journey more comfortable. It was a brilliant day. I couldn’t recommend Dave enough and if your thinking about booking a tour don’t hesitate to book this one.

Even though this was our 3rd Xmas Lights tour with other drivers, Dave still managed to think of some sights we hadn’t seen before. His knowledge of London and its history is fantastic Taxi spotless and comfortable Everyone loved seeing the beautiful New Bond Street, from my 84 year old Father to my 10 year old daughter - great evening out 🎅🏼

This was our second time with Dave and it was once again a superb experience. Our elderly mother hadn’t been to London for a long time and has mobility issues. Dave’s service allowed her to go and see areas that she would never had got to under her own steam. We saw the best of Londons Christmas lights with superb running commentary from Dave. Not sure how I can summarise our trip round London with Dave. We went to see the lights and it was amazing, knowledgeable, perfection and relaxed. Dave is the perfect host, he is a mine of information and a joy to have as a host. We are already getting dates together for further trips with him for new adventures.

The London Christmas Lights Tour with Dave was a huge highlight on our trip from New Zealand. Dave's knowledge of London, both associated with the lights and in general, made the evening extra special. And the fact that we were in our very own private black cab added yet another layer to the experience. The lights were incredible, the number of places Dave stopped so we could take photos and see the lights up close, the comfort and luxury of the cab... the entire experience was truly amazing!!! We've already decided that if we ever make it back to London, Dave will be one of the first people we get in touch with for a repeat night. A huge thank you to Dave for an unforgettable night out in London that these kiwis will treasure always.

What a lovely experience being driven round London at Christmas, the lights, the hustle & bustle all in the comfort of a glass roof black cab. Dave’s knowledge of London is exceptional, you learn things about secret gardens, where films are made, the royal family, the Beatles it’s endless… he dropped us off at the lovely department store F&M so I could buy those lovely Christmas goodies & chocolates we even time for a stroll round Covent Garden 🫶 Dave offers lots of different tours & we couldn’t recommend him enough.💯 We look forward to our next family tour this year. 🤩

Just got back from the most amazing taxi tour of central London to see all the Christmas lights.Dave went above and beyond to make the tour memorable for us including my mum (who is disabled) .Inside the taxi was all decorated and made comfortable with blankets cushions snacks and drinks.Dave stopped at yhe most amazing places with such great knowledge of all London and even stopped in an area so my mum could get out and see a small light display from a safe distance she truly was made to feel so special ❤️❤️ I would highly recommend this tour and will definitely be taking another tour in the future 💪

Our driver Dave was not only our driver, but our historian, tour guide, and wonderful host! It was completely beyond our expectations! It was my mother's dream to see Christmas in London, Dave made the experience magical!

Christmas lights tour is such a fabulous night out for the whole family. We had a group aged from 9 years up to 81 years and we all had a wonderful time. The London lights were fabulous and so much nicer to cover a large area in the comfort and safety of the black cab. Dave is a fountain of knowledge and takes such care and attention before and during the trip. I really feel that he personalises each trip to his passengers needs. I have had the pleasure of joining Dave for a Harry Potter tour, which was also tremendous and lots of fun! Dave offers a wide range of tours which are all worth checking out through the year! I don’t think you could find a better tour guide than this man.

This was the best Christmas light tour we have been on. Dave was an excellent host and tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the light exhibits and their locations. If I could rate this experience with 20 stars I would. I booked the Christmas Lights Private Tour with David. He was simply amazing. I was with my 90 year old mother and seeing the Christmas lights in London was on her “bucket list”. Having explained this to David , he was able to customize our tour (due to her mobility) and did not disappoint. He showed such compassion towards my mom, and throughout the ride in his impeccably clean glass roof taxi, kept us both entertained with his incredible knowledge of the city. He also was able to manoeuvre the traffic with knowledge of all the side roads, meaning we really got the extra time to admire all the incredible lights throughout the city. The tour started on time, and David added on some extra time at no cost to take us to a pub in Nottingham that was known for its amazing light display. I cannot recommend this tour enough, nor express my sincere gratitude to this very knowledgeable, compassionate guide. I would recommend David for any tour he does, and plan on seeking him out for another tour on my next trip back to London.

We had a wonderful time our driver was very patient as he picked up, we had to change plans to pick up as trains were cancelled . He was knowledgeable and thorough. We all love it.

This was an absolutely fantastic tour! Dave was incredibly communicative in the day prior to the tour and was very accommodating in picking us up in two different locations. We had seen a taste of the Christmas lights in London in 2021 but this was an incredible and in depth view of the lights. We got to see so many places that we wouldn't have found on our own and Dave is so incredibly knowledgeable that we learned a lot of great information while we saw the beautiful sights. I would 100% recommend this tour, it was a wonderful way to see the lights in London! My only advice would be to book early because this tour sold out quickly!!

We arranged a tour with Dave to visit the beautiful Christmas light displays. We were met by Dave at our hotel and he introduced himself to each of us. We were a group of 4 women from the US, and Dave quickly discovered that we are huge Princess Diana fans. On the way to the lights, Dave took us to Princess Di’s residence before she married, which was in Earl’s Court near out hotel! We were able to stop and take pictures of the building. It made our tour before it even started! We then explored all the beautiful light displays in Central London, from his brand new cab, which was decked out in Christmas cheer! We have the most amazing photographs and this tour was so customized to what we wanted to see, and allowed for stops as we chose. I highly recommend a tour with Dave. It was the highlight of our trip!

We had a great evening and Dave is the best tour guide. He communicates so well before the day and as a visitor to Uk from New Zealand left me with a very good impression. My Uk son and I did the tour together and felt very well looked after. Dave is a true professional and his passion and knowledge shine. Really lovely and informative tour of London with Dave. Dave was very friendly and shared so many interesting facts about London and took us through many streets and squares sharing stories and history related to all of these places. Highly recommend it to everyone and I would happily do it again!

Large glass roofed taxi with a very knowledgable Dave, our driver/guide for the evening, took 5 of us on a lights tour of London. We were comfy and cozy with rugs provided if necessary, along with water and snacks alongside the bubbles and nibbles picnic we brought with us. We traversed the many decorated roads of London and were shown places we could get out and walk around, take pictures - including the amazing one under a sky Angel in the middle of the road. Unusual scenes such a statue of Twiggy or the field of lighted white roses all accompanied by interesting snippets of information - rivers flowing over canals, for instance. If we had any specific places we wished to see he was able to accomodate. We went midweek and London did not feel crazily busy. Nice toilet stops were factored in ensuring our total comfort. A wonderful experience had by these 5 passengers.

This was the 2nd tour we have done with Dave and it didn't disappoint. Such an amazing afternoon out for the family. Dave picked us up at home and dropped us back; there were so many highlights and sights to see. I can't recommend it highly enough!

I booked a Christmas Lights tour with Dave for our family trip to London with my 10 year old son and my parents. The tour was perfect for us and Dave was very accommodating when it came to my dad needing the ramp to ‘hop in and out’ of the taxi. He showed us places we would not have got to on our own and my son absolutely loved it. I would 100% recommend Dave’s tour if you’re ever in London at Christmas time.

We recently did this tour with David & I highly recommend it to anyone visiting London during the holidays. David picked us up at our hotel & spent 3 hours showing us all the iconic Christmas light spots plus some hidden gems we wouldn't have found on our own. There are many opportunities to stop for photos. This tour is so much better than the big bus tours. The busses stick to the major roads. A cab can get into the smaller side streets where the gems are. I will be recommending this tour to all my clients visiting London. Thanks David. I hope we meet again the next time I'm in London.

We had the best outing with David for the Christmas Lights Tour! The cab was plenty big enough for 6 of us and delivered great views out the panoramic roof. David was fun, friendly, informative, and super accommodating. He offered much advise for our travel during Covid restrictions, and went above and beyond in the communications before our trip. We were a group of four ladies visiting London from the United States. We were fortunate to use David's Cunnington's Black Taxi services on two occasions. First, David picked us up at Heathrow Airport, handled all of our luggage, and then waited while we had to get a Covid test on arrival. He then took us to our hotel before returning that evening for our Christmas Lights Tour. We were extremely pleased with his services. He is very professional and super friendly. If you need a tour guide or pick up service in London, he's your man! We will undoubtedly be using his services again.

We had a fabulous afternoon/evening touring the Christmas lights all from the comfort of Dave’s spacious cab - especially on such a cold day! He is so knowledgeable and shared many stories along the way. He also managed to manoeuvre us away from the traffic congestion. Highlight for me was everything ! Dave took us on this tour as well as the Big Sights tour, and both were fabulous. He was very accommodating and tailored everything to our interests. He also brought our two teenage daughters to and from the Warner Brothers Studio Harry Potter tour. They both felt completely comfortable with him and said they chatted and had a good time with him the entire ride. The next day on the Big Sights tour he made sure to bring us to some Harry Potter locations, which the girls really enjoyed. He is a great guide and a funny and informative person. He also took great pictures for us! He clearly cares about his job and his clients, and it shows! Book it!

A wonderful evening, touring the sights and lights of London. Dave is a font of all knowledge with excellent facts and anecdotes to share. It was such a treat to be ferried everywhere in the luxury of the cab, singing Christmas tunes as we went. We did all the things we wanted to do and see - and more!
