Itinerary
Your tour will meet at the 189 Hercules Road (SE17LD). You'll get kitted up with a bike and helmet or tweed flat cap (optional). Secure bag storage is available.
Your ride starts with a loop of Archbishop's Park to get comfortable with your bike and to make any adjustments. The park is a popular spot for Lambeth residents and hosts a Zipwire in the summer months.
Lambeth Palace is home to the Archbishop of Canterbury and located on the south side of the River Thames, across from the Houses of Parliament.
You'll stop on the south side of the River Thames to see one of the best views of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.
Explore the quaint backstreets of Westminster, home to politicians, air raid shelters, and Lawrence of Arabia.
Pass through the ancient grounds of one of London's 'public schools' and find out what Winnie-the-Pooh and Shane Macgowan have in common.
Stand in front of Westminster Abbey, home of Coronations and Royal Weddings. *Note; Westminster Abbey is a paid attraction and we do not have time to enter it on this ride.
Ride around St James's Park, London's most beautiful Royal Park, home to pelicans and glorious flower gardens.
Stand in the middle of Horseguards Parade where military parades take place each year and see the Downing Street garden and impressive Old Admiralty Building. You may also catch part of the Horseguards changeover.
Ride up the Mall to Buckingham Palace home of the Queen. Hear tales of Royal history and gossip from your guide. And catch the best parts of the Changing of the Guard (on certain dates). *the Mall is closed to cars on Sundays making it an extra special cycling experience.
Ride under this pretty arch that marks the boundary of 'Royal London', and find the secret stone nose located underneath.
Trafalgar Square is the home of many iconic monuments, including Nelsons Column and the National Gallery. It's also the technical centre of London.
Visit London's only Italian style piazza, Covent Garden Market, bustling with shops and restaurants.
Stop for a pint of local beer (optional) at the Lamb & Flag pub in Covent Garden. Once know as the 'bucket of blood' due to its connect with bare-knuckle boxing, the pub is older than the USA and a favourite with locals.
Stop by an ancient Egyptian obelisk on the River Thames to also discover the story of London's amazing Victorian sewage system.
Ride past London's iconic ferris wheel, the London Eye. You'll stop briefly at the best place for a photo.
Cross the River Thames using a bike lane over Westminster Bridge. You'll cycle right underneath Big Ben!
Visit the Graffiti Tunnel under Waterloo Station, made famous by Banksy, and see street artists painting amazing murals. This is the only 'legal' graffiti zone in the area. And you'll also get to try graffiti yourself as spray paint is provided in the tour.

We had a great tour with James. He took us around the city to see many places we wouldn’t have seen on our own and his stories and knowledge of London was amazing. We stopped at a pub for a pint and then continued our journey. Very leisurely ride and we felt safe riding the streets following his lead. Highly recommend as a family activity.
Fun ride. Learned many fun facts! Ride was easy and enjoyable. Too many fun stops to mention! Edward was wonderful!
We just LOVED the bike Tour! Our guide, James, never Jamie, was a wonderful. The bikes were comfortable with an easy flat ride. I chose this tour over others because it stopped at a pub. As an added bonus, I got to wear a cute english hat. It was a highlight to our trip.
James is pleasant, entertaining, helpful and informative. Bikes are a fun way to get a small overview of London.
Excellent experience! Wonderful tour and overall time for our family of 4 with James. The bikes were easy to ride, even for this older woman with arthritis. I highly recommend everyone book this!
Our Tally Ho bike tour with Tom was our favorite activity of our entire London trip! We did the tour on our first day after arriving from the US early in the AM and it was stimulating and physically doable. Tom was an excellent guide and provided a detailed yet digestible overview of London history highlights. The ride allows you to cover a lot of ground efficiently and in fresh air. The route is manageable, not physically taxing, and felt safe. Highly recommend adding this to your London itinerary.
Our tour guide James was witty, energetic, and informative. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend it.
James was a great tour guide! Very knowledgeable about London history! I felt very safe biking through the streets as this was my first time biking in the city! Small groups which makes it more personable and less stressful! Thanks so much!
Tally Ho was such an amazing experience and great introduction to London. We got lucky and only had us 2 in our group, so it felt like a VIP tour. We were able to just go with the flow and dive deep into the history. Husband's highlight was enjoying a cold pint in a historic pub. Pro tip: make sure to bring a water bottle!!
Fantastic day!! Katie was a wonderful tour guide, very entertaining. Great stories and she was very cautious for our welfare.
James is a great historian. He is very knowledgeable. The ride was fun. I highly recommend James for a bike tour.
We had a wonderful time riding through London with our guide, Edward! He has a wealth of knowledge and made exploring London by bike such a fun and memorable experience. We saw so much more of the city up close and personal than we ever would have on a bus tour. I highly recommend doing this early in your visit—you’ll see so much more of London while learning fascinating history and stories along the way. Thank you, Edward, for making our visit so enjoyable! We even loved our stop at the oldest pub in London and the Leake Street Tunnel—such a fun little bit of art and creativity!
Was a great way to cruise around London, nice relaxed pace, and heaps of really good info. Edwards knowledge of the history of the area superb. 2 farmers from Western Australia loved it.... Especially the beer in the "Sheep and Flag" and the Banksy graffiti. Thanks Edward
Amazing! Best bike tour ever! For kids and adults!
Katie our tour guide made the experience extraordinary! I have done other bike tours through London, but this was special because we were riding English made bikes with a tour guide dressed in an English costume playing British music and we rode through iconic places in London and learned about some of the history.
We loved Katie our guide we had a fantastic tour of London saw parts of the city new to me after many trips. Most of all our two teenaged boys really enjoyed it as well
Fun way to explore all the major sights of London with our most cheerful and charming guide, James! The route is all flat so very doable for all skill levels. Don't do a boring bus tour--this is way more fun!
Best part of our London trip by far! Nothing bad to say. Bikes comfortable, ride easy with the guide, great spots, amazing pieces of information and told in a story book kind of way, perfect amount of time, and easy going feel.
This tour made for a very fun morning out in London! We saw many of the highlights, learned some new things, and our tour guide James always had us in the right place at the right time to see the changing of the guard, etc.
A brilliant tour on super bikes with a fantastic guide. Can't wait to try out their Gin tour next time!
James was a fantastic tour guide! He kept things fun, safe and entertaining. The whole family had a wonderful time.
James was a delight! This was the best way to see all the sights in an engaging and entertaining format. I will not forget many of James's stories that will reinforce this as a memorable experience. I took our older children 18&20 and they loved it, especially the pub stop and graffiti tunnel.
Our family: 2 adults and 2 teens, had a perfect experience! We loved all the knowledge shared and the route was perfect. Especially the changing of the guards! The icing on the cake was spray painting our pets’ names in the graffiti tunnel. That was something we would not have been able to do on our own and made for a really fun memory.
Jason was a sweet and knowledgeable guide. There were unexpected road closures that no doubt complicated his plans but he handled the situation with poise and in good cheer! Real pro!
We absolutely enjoy our time out on the bikes with James. He was informative with lots of humour and interesting facts . We felt we saw lots of the iconic sites plus some extras that we wouldn’t have seen if we weren’t on this tour.. We loved the style of bike ,easy to ride and of course wearing the hats .
This was the absolute best way to see the bucket list London places, with an awesome tour guide. It's the perfect way to learn about the culture, get acquainted with the city, and have a pint with James! Highly, highly recommend.
Katie was so much fun and a wonderful storyteller/leader!! My teenagers loved tagging in the tunnel and seeing the sights! Thanks so much; highly recommend!
Great time and lots of fun. Would do it again.
This is a must do on your next trip. Excellent sightseeing and wonderful tour guides!
Everyone at Tally Ho was friendly, funny and informative. Jasper, our tour guide was great (5 stars). This is a great way to start your visit to London because of the multiple sites and ground you cover on your bike. My wife and I were able to plan the return trips we are going to make after getting a better understanding of the geography and locations that we are most interested in.
This is a fantastic bike tour. The bikes are easy to manage and fun to ride. James was a fabulous guide, interesting and very entertaining. We loved everything about it.
Freddie was an amazing guide! He was knowledgeable and fun, with a great sense of humor! The pubs were very nice with great ambience, history, beer! Highly recommend!
A truly unique and perfect way to explore London. Our tour guide James was knowledgeable, pleasant and charming. Don’t think twice, book this tour! This is the one. This is a different and personalized way to visit this great city.
It was a lovely ride. Ola a ripper guide.
Katie, our tour guide from Tally Ho, provided the best overview of London! She was super friendly, extremely knowledgeable, made us all feel safe at all times, even in the crazy London traffic, and above all, she had the best sense of humor! We all agreed that she should do stand up comedy. Thank you Katie for giving us the most memorable tour of your beautiful city!
Lucas was a great guide. We had a great tour seeing some well known sites as well as places off the beaten path, all with a good story thrown in!
We had a great time on our bike tour with Katie. The vintage bikes were not only beautiful but rode incredibly well, making it easy to get around the city comfortably. This was such a fun way to orient ourselves to London. We covered a lot of ground, explored different neighborhoods, and learned so much along the way. Katie struck the perfect balance of history and storytelling, keeping everything engaging without feeling overwhelming. Stopping for a pint along the way was a great touch! Also I’m not sure I’ll ever order a “stiff drink” the same way again, you’ll have to take the tour to hear the story behind that one. Highly recommend this tour if you want a unique and memorable way to see London.
Our tour guide Kathy was absolutely fantastic!!! She was funny, personable and had wonderful stories about every sites we visited. The pace of the tour is perfect and so is the itinerary. This was the best tour I experienced while in London. Highly recommend it!
It was a fantastic experience and a definite highlight! James was so great at giving us facts while making it fun and engaging. I LOVED how cute the bikes were at the whole biking thing experience was very British! Would highly recommend to anyone in London who wants to see and get to know the city and get some exercise in!
We had an amazing time with Katie. She was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Great tour covering a lot of the main sites in the Westminster area and the bike ride was lovely.
Edward was fantastic! It ended up only being my friend and I on the tour so it felt private. We got to see so many sites and Edward was great about taking our photos and giving us any additional time we wanted. We had a great time and would highly recommend to book this tour, you will not regret it!
This bike tour was the highlight of our trip to London! Our guide, James was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and fun, sharing fascinating stories about each landmark we passed. The bikes were comfortable and well maintained, and the route was a perfect mix of iconic sight like Tower Bridge and Westminster and quieter backstreets, we felt safe the entire time, and the pace was relaxed enough for everyone to enjoy the scenery. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun and unique way to experience London. We’d do it again in a heartbeat!
Edward our tour guide was great!! Bike tour was beautiful and loved all the different areas it incorporated and history Edward shared
A brilliant tour hosted by the amazing James. As a Brit myself I still learned LOTS of interesting stories - and I saw some familiar landmarks from new and different locations. The tour was perfectly paced and the bikes excellent. James effortlessly kept the group together and thoroughly entertained us. I'd definately 100% recommend Tally Ho to anyone and would do this all again with friends.
Was a great way to not only see places but get some history on them. James was our guide and was excellent. The ride was fairly easy and the bikes simple to use. The baskets made it possible to include a coat, snack, etc.
We booked the Landmarks & Gems tour for October 17th. Our tour guide, James, was an absolute gem. We were both nervous about biking through London (haven't been on bikes in some time!), but James made those nerves disappear. He provided lots of interesting tidbits and hilarious jokes, all of which made the experience much more enjoyable. It was a perfect way to start our trip, and gave us a great first impression of London.
Jack is a fun and knowledgeable tour guide who engages the group with local insights and occasional history trivia questions. Bikes were Pashleys, a respected British brand that are an easy ride. No gears. It is flat terrain. We came away with lots of British history and, moreover, an understanding of London from day one. Enjoyed the stop at the Grafitti Tunnel and the chance to do some spray painting. The pub visit changed my standards on ales for good. We highly recommend this tour!
This was a really fun way to see a lot of major London sights in a short period of time. Our guide, James, was knowledgeable, funny, and did a great job making sure our group stayed together. We had a group of 9 people which was not too crowded. Definitely would recommend!
Fantastic combination of exercise, learning and entertainment. James is incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. Loved the hats!!
