Oliver and Elvio were great! I appreciate their kindness, patience, and professionalism. My friends and I were running a bit late to the meeting point because of delayed trains, but they waited for us which allowed us to have a memorable day.

Marvel at the cathedral’s spectacular stained glass windows, many of which have survived from the late 12th and early 13th centuries. Overlooking the River Thames, Greenwich is a stunning World Heritage site bustling with fine maritime landmarks. See the Old Royal Naval College designed by Sir Christopher Wren, and the world–famous Cutty Sark, a fascinating 19th–century clipper ship.
The Cutty Sark is a clipper ship built in the United Kingdom in the 18th century. A tea clipper, the Cutty Sark was built on the River Leven near Dumbarton in Scotland in 1869 for the Jock Willis Shipping Line. It was one of the last and fastest tea clippers ever built, having been built at the end of a long period of design development that had been halted when sailing ships were replaced by steam propulsion.
Founded in 1873, The Old Royal Naval College serves as the magnificent centrepiece of Maritime Greenwich, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Greenwich, London, described as having "outstanding universal value" and being the "finest and most dramatically sited architectural and landscape ensemble in the British Isles" by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Great experience with Elveo the driver and Oliver our Tour guide.
It was a nice tour with great sights. Elvio drove safely and Oliver was a good guide.
Depending on what you are looking for this tour might be better for others. The description is very clear that the Dover stop is only a photo stop which was okay. However, the stop choosen was not a very good photo stop. The guide in fact told us that there was a lovely beach and pointed to where it was. I thought we might stop there, but we did not. I would rather not have known there was a better stop. In hindsight, I think the tour would be better to not stop at Dover at all. Everyone seemed very disappointed. I think time at the other stops could be shortened to allow for a better view of the white cliffs at Dover. Everyone on our trip was back on the bus and waiting for our guide to return at Leeds and Canterbury. It should also be noted that the guide does not guide you at Leeds or Canterbury. Lastly, the boat ride at Greenwich it not a tour - we were on an Uber boat. I've done a boat trip before which was really nice to point out places on the Thames and thought this might be something similar. Given that we are on an Uber boat, I'm feel it's misleading to say that it's part of the tour. Overall, I would think hard about what you are wanting to see and accomplish in a tour before choosing this one. I could not recommend it.
This was a beautiful ride out in the English countryside. A wonder visit to Leeds with amazing history Beautiful Castle and grounds
Everyone was on time— the day very windy and cold— bus was 15 min late and excuse was “traffic” but everyone on the tour knew about traffic and we left early and arrived on time— the ride was extremely jerky- it seems the driver didn’t care about his passengers. He just wanted to get there (so he could be on his phone). Not enough Dramamine for the whole trip Once you got to Leeds, Canterbury and Dover you were on your own- -gave spiel on the bus but nothing when got there- very, very disappointing tour. Of course this is my opinion but I wasn’t the only one who got sickish from the bus ride— hard to enjoy scenery when you are nauseous
Just how to find Golden driver more easily Would probably skip time at Cliffs of Dover- just do drive by. 30minutes - not long enough stop
Had a fantastic day with Oliver! He was a great guide. Our driver was fantastic too! The sites were so memorable.
I had a great day trip! Guide, Oliver, was very friendly and knowledgeable. And our driver, Elvin (Alvin?) was great. Communication and transportation were smooth and went off without a hitch. And the locations were lovely (wish we had a bit more time at each spot, but that’s the nature of a day trip!). I would recommend Golden Tours to anyone looking for a good company to take care of the details for the day!
This was an amazing day! Our guide was knowledgeable and fun. Great voice!
The guide was very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to.
Sandra was an excellent guide! She was friendly, knowledgeable and organized. She made this trip special!
I was travelling for this tour from outside London, planning to be at the tour nearly 30 minutes ahead of the designated tour stat time (8:30). Due to delays, I unfortunately missed my connection and there was a 40-minute gap between trains, so I would arrive to the bus several minutes late. I phoned the company at 7:18 (over an hour before the start) letting them know and asking them if they could please wait for me. They said the bus could not wait, but advised me to go to the Golden Tours Victoria Visitor Centre at 7 Belgrave road instead. At the visitor centre, the supervising manager Richan (sp?) was extremely rude and condescending. He tried to give me a fake name “Joe”, refused to give me his full name after I asked several times, refused to give me the contact details for somebody above him who could potentially help me, refused to give me information on how to file a complaint, and joked that I could call or email the main office, but that email/phone call would come back to him. In the end he said he would send me a confirmation that I could use 50% of the cost I paid towards a new booking, and even noted my email address for that purpose, but (surprise, surprise) never sent me anything. I understand that the tour company isn’t responsible for delays of the public transport system, but (1) I would expect a reputable company to provide a reasonable accommodation for situations outside of the client’s control, and (2) adding insult to injury when a client is asking for help to resolve an issue was completely unnecessary. I’m extremely disappointed and do not recommend this tour operator to anyone.
Tour cancelled by tour company day before leaving. Called them , they will refund my money. Need to check on that when I get home.
Absolutely wonderful day thanks to our guide Zozo and driver Robert. Zozo was so informative and fun making each stop special and engaging.
Excellent value and wonderful long and varied day. Highly recommended. Big thanks to our fabulous guide Dan who took great care of us and driver Duma. Dan has a wealth of knowledge abouf the places we visited and passed along the way and told great stories to brng the history to life. The communications from Golden Tours prior to the day were clear and helpful especially the detailed description of how to find the coach at the beginning of the day. I knew exactly where i was going with no last minute panics. Thank you!
It was a fun day! Our Tour Guide was Oscar that day, and forgive me, but I don't recall the Driver, but both of them were awesome! Oscar was a conscientious and knowledgeable, looking after us as we had an unexpected delay at Leeds that day as there was a car event going on unbeknownst to all. But, it worked out just fine! our Driver was kind, as well, and a safe driver at that. There was another sort of delay with the Uber Boat, but again, Oscar was SO kind and it was out of his power to control. Honestly, the day was a very good day and we are happy we got to attend this tour! We got to see a great deal of some beautiful places that we otherwise could not have done readily on our own.
Peter was an amazingly knowledgeable tour guide. Mario G the bus driver was safe and courteous
Peter was awesome. His subject knowledge was excellent. Recommend you try to get him on your next tour
Since my English was poor could be the reason to not being comfortable with this visit. My rate is low but I can understand other people might have a different view so they were treated differently.
Kelvin was a wonderful guide! It was a beautiful day. We saw a lot and learned a lot, too. Leeds Castle and Canterbury were a pleasant surprise. Highly recommend!
Leeds Castle and Canterbury were amazing. I wish there had been a more scenic stop at Dover but all told it was a good experience. Peter was our guide and was very informative.
Oliver and Viorel made a fantastic team and helped make this day trip from London such a memorable experience. We visited so many iconic and historically significant places including Leeds Castle, Canterbury, Dover, and Greenwich, and everything was organized so well. It was an amazing way to see and experience so much in one day, and a great value too.
A really enjoyable tour with our bilingual (English/Spanish), knowledgeable, and friendly guide, Apple. We really appreciated the comfortable bus, small tour group, and interesting locations in Kent. The star of the trip for us was the Canterbury Cathedral. Greenwich and the river boat down the Thames was a great conclusion. Our driver, Sokol was also very helpful and did a great job keeping us on track and safe throughout the day. Will be looking for Golden Tours in the future.
Leeds castle was gorgeous and a good amount of time was allotted for it. Dover was a 30 minute stop to get a glimpse. Canterbury we had an hour and ten minutes to view the cathedral grab lunch and get back and we rushed the whole time. Canterbury seems like a town you could explore all day. Same with Dover. Oliver was very passionate and informative and John was a great bus driver. Overall a good experience especially if you are trying to squeeze in a castle, a cathedral, and cliffs all in one day this is the perfect trip for that. Just bring snacks and water for the bus.
Leeds castle, Dover, Canterbury and Greenwich, Thames cruise... Stephen and Vi(driver) are very kind and good guides on 15 May 2026. I was impressed and happy to go around many places in a day. Specially as a Roman catholic person, I almost feel crying in Canterbury cathedral, overwhelmed! It is a beautiful cathedral.
The boat ride was disappointing overall. While the scenery was beautiful, the experience felt rushed and not very well organized. Staff communication was poor and the seating area was not as comfortable or clean as expected. It had potential.
I booked the Leeds Castle, Canterbury and Dover Cliff tour for me and my hubby! Worth it!...especially if you have David as your guide, as he is FULL of knowledge with the history of England! We had a small group of 9, which made it even better. Reg, is a great driver! He knew which lanes to go to/ stay on, as traffic got a bit heavier. We ended with a river boat/Uber boat ride, a bonus to see a wide spred of tourist sites along the way back to your stop. An AMAZING full day!
I’d like to tell you about it. But it didn’t happen. Twice. The first time they notified us with a few days to spare. The second day we found out when we were at the bus stop waiting for our bus, after paying $40 for an Uber to get there.
Lovely tour. Our guide Oliver was very friendly, engaging and helpful. The driver Reginald was very nice and friendly.
Oliver and Elvio provided fun commentary throughout the trip. The bus was comfortable.
Incredible experience! The highlights were definitely our guides, Amanda and Chen. They were extremely helpful and made the whole trip seamless and enjoyable. 10/10 highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a stress-free, amazing time.
Driver - Sokol and guide - Applelona were amazing. Applelonia was funny and informative which makes a great guide. Highly recommend this tour and the sights. Canterbury cathedral is a can’t miss.
Ride was smooth. Guide knowledgeable, engaging, friendly and helpful. Schedule allowed enough time. Would book again. Thanks.
I had a wonderful time on the tour with Golden Tours! Oliver was an excellent guide he was friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging and Reginald was a great driver who made the journey smooth and comfortable. Highly recommend this team for a fantastic experience!
First class tour! David was extremely friendly & very knowledgeable about every part of the tour. From the moment we departed we were given so much information about the landmarks we were passing & this continued right throughout the day. Our tour guide David & our driver John made the day a wonderful experience, one that we won’t ever forget! Thank you David for making our day tour so memorable!!
Great day trip from London to take in some beautiful sites in the South East. Our host (Apple) and driver (Lucien) were very attentive and knowledgeable.
The guide was very good. The boat ride on River Thames, it was dark by the time we got to the boat. So could not see anything.
Oliver did a fantastic job. The time flew by. Our coach driver was excellent. So much to see. Leeds Castle was exceptional and we got in as soon as they opened. The Battle of Britain Memorial was so cool and we could see the white cliffs of Dover and all of the way across the channel to France. The cathedral in Canterbury was vast and filled with history, plus the whole city was a blast to explore. We finished in Greenwich and a Thames Cruise back to Westminster which was a huge added bonus. Highly recommended!
I had an amazing experience on the Leeds Castle, Canterbury, Dover, and Greenwich Boat Ride tour with Golden Tours. The whole day was perfectly organized from start to finish. Leeds Castle was absolutely stunning — beautifully maintained and full of history. The guide shared fascinating stories that made the visit even more enjoyable. Canterbury was equally charming, and visiting the famous cathedral was a real highlight. Dover’s white cliffs were breathtaking, and we had plenty of time to take photos and enjoy the view. The boat ride in Greenwich was a wonderful way to end the day, offering great views of the Thames and London’s skyline. The provided snack pack was a thoughtful touch — just what we needed between stops! Our tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and kept everything running smoothly. The coach was clean and comfortable, making the journey relaxing and pleasant. Overall, it was a well-planned and memorable trip — perfect for anyone who wants to see some of England’s most beautiful and historic sites in one day. Highly recommend Golden Tours for their professionalism and excellent service!
Toured with Oliver and Alex. Thanks to Alex for getting us around safely. This tour should be renamed the scenic tour. Leeds, Dover, Canterbury were all beautiful as well as the countryside between them all. The shuttle bus was big enough for small parties and even had a toilet which fortunately went unused. It would be nice to get a photo op of Dover Castle if possible.
Appolonia, our guide, was amazing...she provided so much information on each destination, and she did it back to back in English and Spanish for our small but mixed group. The bus was not full, so we had plenty of space to spread out. Reggie, our driver, did a great job of navigating and getting us to each location safely. I would highly recommend this tour We had the perfect amount of time in each destination.
The guide, Stefan, was extremely friendly, and looked out for his guests needs the entire time. We had ample time at Leeds, Canterbury and Dover, but traffic caused our group to miss Greenwich. Because the size of the group was so small (13), we were able to take a luxury shuttle, not a large bus.
Due to traffic I missed an original tour I booked w another company; I ran into Danxia who was tour guide for this tour that was scheduled to depart which was perfect for me so I switched. I am so glad that I did, Danxia was so gracious and nice on top of that she’s an ultimate professional, she really takes prride on what she does, so knowledgeable about London and the places we visited that day, very well versed in Culture politics and history, I’ve learned a few things on this tour. Danxia treated us with utmost care and respect she checked in on each of us several times that day to make sure we were ok. Captain Ashley also a professional he drove the bus with care, in short I couldn’t be happier that I stumbled on this tour with team Danxia and Ashley, don’t have enough nice words to say about them, you will be in good hands if they happen to lead you on a tour. Learned so much about Leeds Castle, Canterbury and Greenwich. The nice surprise was at the end we got off the bus and onto water taxi to give us a chance to get a glimpse of London on River Thames, highly recommend this tour
The tour was good. The only downside was that half of the tour was in Spanish. Understandable, but lessened our enjoyment. When I asked if we could stay on the bus and skip the boat portion (mainly because of the difficulty finding cabs because of the Underground strike and rain) our guide argued with us saying that we would have no problem finding a cab. I know that not to be true because it took us 30 minutes to get a cab to go from our Kensington hotel to the tour at Victoria. In any case our driver, Kee, spoke up and said that he was driving past Victoria and was happy for us to ride with him. Kee was wonderful. When he found out that our hotel was close to Harrods, he said that was on his route as well. Kee was engaging, fun, informative pointing out all the attractions as we proceeded towards Harrods. He couldn’t have been nicer and was a godsend given the Underground situation. To give our guide credit, she was able to move our seats in the coach closer to the front. I am very hard of hearing and this certainly helped. The people in the rear part of the bus where we were initially seated ( because of the cab situation) never stopped talking in Spanish and one was obviously ill with a bad cold. So it was very good to get away from them. I give our guide full credit for our being able to move us. My only real complaint was her arguing with me when I asked to stay on the bus. That’s when Kee stepped in in offered to take us to within walking distance of our hotel which was on his route. Kudos to Kee!
Fantastic day! We saw so much, but never felt rushed. The guide was wonderful and kept everyone on time and safe.
Totally enjoyed the experience. Huge thanks to our tour guide Kelvin & his driver Suko. Extremely impressed, professional approach to our journey. I will rebook further tours with the group because of this experience. Once again thank you so much.
Tour team Kalvin and Soko (driver). Kal in was absolutely amazing! With his knowledge, professionalism and energy, he gave us so much information at each sightseeing spot and on the bus. Highly recommend the tour
Very pleased with the tour of Leeds castle. And also with the driver John and tour leader Apple were very professional and helpful!
It was an incredible experience with the loveliest tour guide Apple and driver Zaw who took us from London on this wonderful tour. I really liked the detailed history, guidance and friendliness which Apple showed on this tour. It was perfectly timed and executed by the team. Also, the snack pack was really good with all the must-haves and snacks that were needed. I would really recommend this tour to anyone who is looking to enjoy a day outside London.
