My wife and I travel fairly frequently with our 3 kids who are now 16, 13, & 8. Any parent knows that traveling with kids of different ages requires balancing their varying interests and different attention spans. Problem solved with having Larry as your private guide at British Museum. In a place that has a massive amount of exhibits and artifacts, that would have lost our 8 year old daughter in about 10 minutes, she was fully engaged and entertained (along with the older kids) for 3 hours and could have gone longer. Larry is an exceptional guide—knowledgeable, great way of engaging kids and adults, and a fun person. We rarely write reviews but our experience with Larry on this tour was exceptional.

Very knowledgeable guide. The museum is too big to navigate and see the most important artifacts. Having a guide is a museum game changer.
We had a great experience on our tour, this is a MUST DO in London, specially with Roberta, our guide, she know so much about all the museum and made the kid enjoy the time at the museum. She played a game with the kids to make it even more fun. Thanks Roberta for the time and the Tour!!!
We booked the tour well in advance, visiting London with our children (12 and 11 years old). The children enjoyed it very much. The guide Roberta found the right way to communicate and challenge the kids to spot interesting things at the exhibition. Excellent 2,5 hours - thank you.
Roberta was sweet, knowledgable and patient with my inquisitive 11 year old son. One of the highlights of our trip.
We loved the enthusiasm of our guide Roberta. I’ve been to the museum five times before and was impressed by Robertas selection of important objects.
The visit takes 2,5 hours, the group was small (six people) and the guide was great. It was not just a simple walk through the museum, Roberta made everything more palatable for the children and teenagers.
Roberta did an amazing job! Kids (6/9/12 yo) loved her and it was great information for the adults as well. She arranged a game which really kept the kids interested. Roberta was an excellent guide for our family. We will use Roberta and her company on our next visit.
We had a fantastic time with Roberta. My 10 year old (who absolutely hates museums and was not interested in this tour) LOVED it!!!!! We have been to many countries and many museums and this was the first one that was a hit all because of Roberta. She made it so much fun for him but also made it enjoyable for me, my husband, and my 15 year old. I highly recommend this tour. Take it with Roberta if you can!
Roberta our guide is the absolute best! Very knowledgeable and friendly. She kept the kids engaged throughout the entire tour.
I went alone to London and I had just one afternoon free to visit. It was the right decision to choose this activity. The visit by myself could have being not so interesting. The museum is Amazing and I didn’t missed the most important pieces.
Nice guide, knowledgeable and kept the kids interested. Saw key parts of the museum. Overall very overpriced and too short.
We had a great tour with Roberta who guided us to the most important exhibits of British museum . My daughters 8 and 10 years old loved it .
We're so glad that we visited the British Museum with Roberta. She was amazing, and I can't imagine having enjoyed and learned so much (or lasted as long!) otherwise. My family of 5 were all engaged and interested. Roberta's knowledge, enthusiasm, warmth are a winning combination!
We had our tour with Roberta on 7 Aug 2019. While entry to the museum per se is free, we still consider the money well-spent. The museum is just vast, with a lot to see and a lot of people, you may miss the "must-see" and even if you visit them, you may not appreciate the significance of what is in front of you if you go to the museum by yourselves unprepared. Roberta is a friendly and keen guide. She reached out before the tour to confirm the age of my kids and what their interests are, and keep the attention of kids by introducing a little game throughout the tour. Even my husband and I have learned a lot more with Roberta, albeit we have been to the museum before.
We went on the tour with Roberta and our boys are 10 and 12. We had an excellent time. They were highly interested and engaged in what we were learning. I would highly recommend this to families and children. Roberta is an excellent guide and she is very good with children. We would reach out to her if we go back to London.
Whole experience starts from easy booking, confirmation of meeting place and chat with a guide before meeting in front of museum. We came from Japan. My son, 9years old enjoyed key highlights with deeper understanding. A guide, Roberta-san is really professional in both knowledge and entertaining kids with little game and quiz.
Roberta did a great job showing the treasures of the British Museum and keeping kids and adults engaged throughout the tour. My son learned a lot and I don't think we would have had a similar experience just on our own.
The British Museum tour was absolutely fantastic. Our guide Dan did really well to select an itinerary that entertained us as well as providing us with a great deal of fascinating information. We really feel we learnt a lot and I know I can speak for my children too, they had a wonderful time and seemed utterly intrigued by the stories our guide told about the various exhibits. The fact that it was a small group tour meant that there were other people sharing our guide, but we all got on very well and at no stage did we think that we weren't getting enough attention. The tour was both educational and enjoyable and our kids loved it as much as we did. We can't recommend this tour, and our guide, highly enough!
Roberta was a fantastic guide. She did a great job keeping four kids under 8 engaged and entertained for more than 2 hours. She was so knowledgable and animated that at certain points other people (not part of our tour) would come and join in to hear what she was saying. Honestly, even for adults-only I'd recommend her. The museum is so large she made a great effort to show us and explain the absolute best of the best. Would do it again with Roberta next time we are in London.
Roberta was an engaging and enthusiastic guide for both me an my son 10 years old at the British Museum. Very good invester money!
I've been delayed from writing this review of our fine trip tot the British Museum conducted by Pinocchio Tours. Ours was a large family, diverse in age and interests: though the tour was especially designed for the three children in the party, three of the five accompanying adults had not visited the Museum before, and we all found it a focused and exciting way to introduce a place that, without intelligent and experienced guidance, would have been overwhelming to navigate. Our guide, Kathy Trevelyan, geared the journey toward our various interests: we saw the Egyptian, Classical, Medieval, and African exhibits, and i think everyone came away enlightened and entertained. Ms. Trevelyan was an exceptional guide, and the kids (for whom, ultimately, we chose this tour) were rapt with the stories and exhibits, emerging with new interests, things beyond their contemporary culture and the reach of their phones! I recommend this tour enthusiastically, without qualification.
We were five, ranging in ages 8 to 74. We were all captivated with Ingrid's tour the entire time, which was nearly three hours. My children learned so much, they were engaged and their curiosity sparked. It is impossible to see such a museum in a couple of hours and have a full appreciation for all it offers, but with Ingrid's tour we saw both highlights and other spots which gave us a rich experience. Thank you, Ingrid! You made our day.
Our guide, Kathy, was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and focused on showing us the highlights of the museum that the kids were most interested in. Often, I spend too much time on the little things in a museum or get overwhelmed and run out of steam before I see the big things. This tour kept us from doing that, as Kathy made sure we saw the best in the time we had.
We had a great afternoon at the British Museum thanks to our guide Roberto. She was able to engage a 16, 15, and 11 year old for over 2.5 hours--no small feat. She made the museum very manageable by showing us the hightlights, and had fun and interesting facts for us to grasp and retain what we were seeing. Afterwards, and unprompted, all three kids said how fun it was and way better than they thought it would be!! My youngest felt it was almost as good as the "wax museum" he had just been too ;) Thanks Roberto--we would have been lost without you!!
The British Museum tour was a wonderful experience for me and my family ,Our guide Roberta kept everyone engaged through out the tour and was amazing. She had good rapport with the kids .I would totally recommend it to anyone who would like to have a quick tour of the British Museum
The idea of taking the kids to the British Museum was a little overwhelming. It's huge, there's so much to see and not to mention the amount of people. So, getting a kid focused tour was just incredible. The whole way throughout the tour, all the children were engaged, curious and generally interested in what they were seeing. In our group there were 5 children of different ages but our guide Roberta handled them all with no issues. You could tell she likes kids and vice versa. She involved us adults too and we all learned a lot from doing it together. Overall we had a fantastic day.
Claudia was wonderful and kept the kids well engaged and took us to see all the highlights of the museum. She taught us all how to appreciate the details of the masterpieces. Highly recommended
he tour at the British Museum was a wonderful experience. It was the first time we had visited a museum with our children (aged 7 and 10), and we were not really sure what it was going to be like. The museum is huge and we were worried it might be a little overwhelming for us, but thanks to our guide we saw all the museum's main attractions and we learnt a lot about history in an easy and enjoyable way. It was a fascinating and entertaining experience for my children as well, and I thoroughly recommend visiting this museum with a professional guide such as ours. The tour was perfect!
Had a wonderful tour with Denisa. She did a great job tailoring the tour for our kids of varying ages (7-13).
Me and the kids enjoy it so much and Roberto was a tour guide. She did a great job to engage the kids.
This museum is incredible, but it can be overwhelming- especially to kids. Our incredible guide, Roberta, made it exciting, informative, and interactive. The whole family was engaged, right along with the kids. This was the perfect choice for us and I truly can’t recommend it enough. It is a must!
Our tour guide Roberta was amazing! She was engaging and at the same time entertaining. Everyone including the adults had a blast.
Having a guide focused on the children was beyond helpful. The museum is so large and so crowded it would have been daunting on our own, especially overwhelming for the children. Our guide provided context for the displays and pointed out items that we may have missed on our own--items of particular interest to my history obsessed grandson. She organized hunts for items to keep the interest and make it a bit challenging--and fun! I'd definitely recommend this tour and our tour guide.
This was the best tour we did in. London. Roberta made the British Museum come to life for me, my wife and especially our kids. She is so enthusiastic about the Museum, and everyone feels it. This is well worth the time. It will engage your kids. I highly recommend it
Our family with 2 children took this tour because it looked promising. It was indeed very interesting, informative and quite enjoyable. Everyone had a good time, especially the kids. Denisa was very patient, kind and informative. The British museum not something one can cover in a couple of hours, but Denisa took us through some key areas and exhibits and it was very good. Heartily recommended, especially for families and for groups on a time constraint.
My family including 5 adults and 4 children, ages 9, 10, and 11, spent a delightful morning at the British Museum with Roberta as our guide. She made it fun by creating a game in which the children had to earn 100 points by finding certain items in the various galleries we visited. Once the items were found, Roberta gave an age-appropriate history lesson. We hit the high spots in the museum in an efficient manner. She was fun and the children responded very favorably to her. At the end of the tour, they had earned a prize.
Having the British Museum tour with Roberta was a highlight of our trip to London. She is so good with the kids and had them fully engaged for the full two hours! They learned so much and we made the most of the visit. It would have been impossible to manage on our own. Thank you so much!
The visit was very complete and the children enjoy the visit, our guide, Roberta, explain everything with a language appropriate for little children and engaging the children with cooperative games. They have a great time in the museum.
We planned this so we would have a good tour of the British Museum with our 10 year old grandson.. We were joined by two sisters from Spain.. Roberta, our guide was wonderful with them.. and the kids were so enthusiastic..
Our tour guide was very nice, she kept the group of kids and parents entertained and interested at the museum. She even had a detail to give the kids a little surprise at the end of tour; which they loved!
We visited London on spring break. Two kids 5 and 9 years. We traveled one or two a year overseas. Always looking for kids tour in every city. This one was a great catch. Our tour guide Roberta was very nice and delight with the kids. Worth the price and the time.
Roberta did a wonderful job with our tour of the British Museum. She kept our 8 year old son interested in the tour. We were able to see some high points of the British Museum including the Rosetta Stone. Communication was great. The office reached out a few days before and Roberta personally texted us to confirm our time and meeting place. I would highly recommend this tour and Roberta. Thank you!
Roberta led my family of five (kids ages 13, 11 and 9) on an afternoon tour of the highlights of the British Museum last week and it was amazing!! I am so glad I booked this tour because while I love museums, my kids usually do not. Roberta brought the ancient civilizations we learned about (Assyria, Greece, Egypt, etc.) to life by challenging the kids with games and questions about the art/artifacts we observed. The museum can be very overwhelming (especially for kids) but Roberta selected just the right types and number of items to talk with us about to keep us engaged and having fun. I would recommend this tour for anyone visiting the museum, but especially for families with kids.
We had an excellent tour with Denisa and I know my boys (ages 13 and 10) got so much more from the experience than if we just walked through ourselves. She engaged the boys (and four adults) in a way that made it fun, accessible and memorable. Highly recommend.
We have done this tour with Roberta, who was very professional. She sent a message one day before the tour's date to confirm the time and the meeting location. She was on time. The tour is planned to suit kids with ages 10 and above. Our younger daughter didn't find it interesting, but the 11 yrs and 14 yrs children enjoyed it and found the information very useful. There was a little game to search for some presented items, which the kids liked as well. I am sure there were many more interesting things to see in the museum but time was limited. Roberta was nice to the kids and competent. I would recommend if visiting the museum with kids.

A wonderful tour with an enthusiastic and very friendly guide Danny. The tour really brought to life the history of civilization over many centuries. We got much more from the visit with a tour guide we could have wandered around aimlessly for hours without Danny and understood even less.

I'm from Kuwait and It was my first visit to the British Museum with my young daughter (age 10) so we decided to take a guided tour to see the main highlights..I made the bookings through TripAdvisor..and few hours later I received an email to inform us about the name of our guide and the meeting point. One day before the trip I received a WhatsApp message from our guide Danny, to confirm the meeting point next day. He was on time and our journey which took 2hours and a half started. We were the only ones with him..so it was really a VIP tour . It was simply amazing..Danny was soo informative and so sweet with my daughter . He had a soft globe ball which showed all the countries and gave it to my daughter to use..showed us alot of things on the iPad..the information we received was beyond our expectations..didn't get bored even for a minute..we kept talking about this trip for days ♥️♥️ I highly recommend this tour especially for people who really want to know the story behind everything...thank you Danny 🌷

Sarah was a wonderful tour guide for our 11 year old son! She was very knowledgeable and he couldn't stump her with any hard questions! She also has a lovely disposition!

The British Museum is overwhelming for anybody, but especially for kids. Denisa was a wonderful tour guide who condensed some of the most important highlights — the Rosetta Stone, Egyptian mummies, Parthenon marbles — into fun, digestible chunks for our 11 year old daughter. Two hours is the perfect amount of time before their attention starts to wane. Really enjoyable and definitely worth the money!
