Easy tour, doesn’t take very long actually and it’s interesting. Its location in the west end of Hyde Park is convenient.

We really enjoyed this tour! It is very informative and can be done as fast or slow as you want. A good fit for all types!
This is just an entry tour with audio. I was confused and looked for a guide to no avail. My bad but I didn’t know that.
We were disappointed with the lack of access to Diana's apartments and the lack of merchandise that was dedicated to her in the shop. This is where she raised the boys, very disappointing.
We enjoyed our visit to Kensington Palace. It takes you through the three different eras/sections of history there. They provide audio boxes to guide you through the rooms. There are plenty of stairs, but there is a lift/elevator available. The staff is friendly and helpful, and we even met "Queen Caroline" in one of the rooms. After you see the Palace take time to enjoy the gardens or have a cup of tea in the cafe.
We were there for the opening of the palace. There were a number of people queuing up, but it moved quickly. They give you a device with headphones to listen to the audio guide. I wish these places would let you download the audio guide to your own device and use your own earbuds, because their headphones cut in and out. I ended up unplugging the headphones and holding the device close to my ear to hear it. It wasn't just mine, many people were doing this. It wasn't crowded and people moved at their own pace which is nice and lets you see what interests you the most. It was interesting to see and there is a nice cafe and gift shop at the end.
A great way to spend a few hours in London. The garden grounds are half the fun and the self guided tour was quick and thorough at the same time. It peeked my curiosity and I later went home to watch Young Victoria. U can walk right to a fantastic neighborhood for coffee afterward.
We liked this better than Buckingham Palace. Kensington palace felt more like a home. The guides were outstanding. Be sure to ask them questions about the rooms you are visiting. We saw some rooms that never get put on tour which Emma’s nice.
On a trip to London make sure to see the inside of at least one palace. The gardens around the palace are impressive and relaxing.
What a wonderful experience for anyone that loves history. The effort that has gone into recreating the home of the families that lives in the palace is exceptional. I highly recommend a visit to Kensington Palace.
One word, disappointing, particularly compared to Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle. One got the feeling that very few of the rooms were open to the public - essentially some barely used ones in a rather drab and dreary old wing and it's hard to imagine why the place is called a palace at all. One collection of rooms focused on George II and we came away feeling rather sorry for him and his courtiers! Another focused on Victorias childhood which was similarly drab - no wonder she claimed to have an unhappy childhood. The third exhibition featured an obsure Indian princess that we'd never heard of and by the time we got to her, we were hardly motivated to find out more and went for a cup of tea instead. Rightly or wrongly, most people associate this palace with Princess Diana, and it might have been more appropriate to feature an exhibition around her. As it was, there was one photograph in the vestibule - that's all. We're chalking this down to experience to one palace we don't need to visit again. My advice - save your money for Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace or the Tower or London.
The tour of gardens was fabulous. Kate was a very knowledgeable guide, sharing a lot of information. She made the tour interesting and insightful. We didn’t feel rushed and had time for questions. Let us know what to expect from the Palace tour also. Again, terrific guide!!
Only problem was it was closed until Thursday and co. Sold us tickets for Monday. We were not notified but got a refund and we were able to go Thursday.
The self guided tour is enhanced by headphones that give you special highlights in each room. Arrive on time to get in line for entry into the Palace.
The tour was perfect. It was easy to follow and the headset and programs worked well. I would highly recommend it.
Great service and educational guides. More intimate experience. AMAZING and spacious park!!! Italian gardens are very peaceful.
Very easy. Very relaxed. Liked the self paced tour. The history was incredible. Gift shop and cafe were delightful.
We purchased an entry ticket to Kensington Palace through Viator and were very happy with the experience. Buying the ticket in advance saved us time as we were able to avoid waiting in the main entry queue. The ticket also included a self-guided audio tour with a headset, which was very useful and provided lots of interesting information as we explored the palace at our own pace. The palace itself was beautiful and fascinating to explore, but the gardens were also a highlight. We particularly enjoyed visiting the Sunken Garden, which is beautifully designed and is home to the statue of Diana, Princess of Wales. It was lovely to take some time to walk around the gardens and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and would recommend booking tickets in advance to save time and make the most of your visit
Nice palace but nothing special or different to see in my opinion but it was good to see Diana’s statue
Was disappointed. Was expecting much more. Pleased I was in London a few days as I felt this was a bit of a wasted few hours. Not what I was expecting at all. Another review said it was a bit like National trust property,I agree. I wouldn't have bothered if I had realised what it was like.
Take your time and enjoy all this museum has to offer. Lots to see and history to learn. Literally a Royal Treat.
The actors were friendly and approachable, my dad was very excited that he got to meet the "Queen", after they taught him how to bow. The sandwiches were also pretty good. When you leave be sure to go up the garden path behind the drink stand as there is a lovely surprise statue and water feature hidden in the hedges.
Beautifully preserved place. So much history. Loved sunken garden with late princess Diana statue.
Perfect visit! The audio guides, available in multiple languages, were invaluable in helping us understand and fully enjoy the visit.
When booking it said there was a exhibition about Diana. There is NOT, that was sooo disappointing. There was n exhibition about Punjab sisters, which was nice. Victiora's exhibiotion was nice too, funny audioguide. But I realy came for Diana. Even the golden gates where up to restauration. Foto is the only thing in the palace of Diana
This was our first visit to Kensington Palace, I was surprised as I thought it was going to be a lot bigger. It was very interesting to walk round and you could get the head phones for a talking tour round the rooms. The gardens are well kept and nice to walk round. Princess Diana’s garden is here and that is an impressive garden to look round with the statue in there.
Small but interesting. The Victoria childhood part is fun. The female staff in the cafe exit was bit rude and unprofessional.
Very interesting tour. Easy to find entrance...just look for Queen Victoria statue. Friendly staff at entrance and very good audio headset
Great tour guide- kind and knowledgeable. High yea quite good. It should have included a palace entry ticket regardless.
Nice. But its just a recorded tour you listen to. They did provide little stools to sit on. It was very hot in the palace but they tried to cool it with fans.
Lovely place. But no reference to Princess Diana which was a shame considering her stature and she also resided there.
It's not worth the money you spend.Room 1 has 3 tiaras on display. The place is not lit up in the rooms nothing much to see including dirty old carpets. They have a small room showing princess from India why ?? When people pay to see the so called Fake Royals, nothing special to see
The staff was wonderful and so knowledgeable. Be sure to ask any question you may have. They are a wealth of information.
There is a self guided tour with a headset. Be sure to look at the garden too! The Princess Diana statue is lovely.
We enjoyed the tour and thought the tour guide Philip was very knowledgeable and equipped to lead the walking tour. It was an amazing experience!
I loved the palace and gardens, but mostly the stories of the guides insides different rooms of the palace. We found out how queen Caroline died and about the morning princess Victoria became queen. Very informative and fun!
It was interesting historically but didn’t take three hours as was indicated when buying the tickets. Not sure it was the best value for money.
Interesting visit of the Georgian rooms of Kensington Palace as well as Queen Victoria‘s childhood apartments (beautifully restored). An additional exhibit on three Anglo–Indian princesses was included and was fascinating too. There is a nice cafe and gift shop. The price includes the entrance ticket so you can enter the palace anytime on the day you book for. There is no guided tour included. but there is a very good audio guide.
Nothing other than be in line for your appointed time. It doesn't take more than 90 minutes to two hours to view everything. Don't miss the Princess Di garden before you leave.
We were very underwhelmed by the experience at the palace. The positive was the garden with the Diana sunken garden being a highlight, but the inside of the palace is totally lacklustre. It was more like a second or third rate National Trust property. Don’t expect any rooms with important furniture and richly decorated. Having been to Chatsworth recently the contrast couldn’t be greater. We thought it was expensive and wouldn’t recommend it.
So happy we didn’t pass this up! Absolutely loved every part of the palace! So stunning from start to finish! Rich with history and truly a great experience! 10/10
We very much enjoyed touring this beautiful and historic palace. Less regal than Buckingham Palace, but still impressive.
Disappointing. We expected to see more about the modern Royal Family and especially about Princess Diana. The sunken garden was beautiful and peaceful and the gardens lovely.
I was expecting more relevant and current information and content. The audio tour was informative and it’s 3 different tours. Expect about an hour-2.
Buying the tickets through viator were perfectly fine and easy to do, highly reccomend. As for the attraction, it could have improved air conditioning, went during the heat wave and it was miserable. Newer sections were good.
Having recently visited Arundel Castle I expected something similar with lavish grounds and full rooms of items. What I found was standard garden areas and rooms with very little wow or interest considering the history. The exhibition of The Last Punjabi Princess was also underwhelming and sparse. The jewel room was three sets of jewels and most other rooms were filled with only a handful of items. Expensive tickets considering the lack of items and detail.
Entry tickets only . Highly recommend . It’s beautiful . Love the garden tribute to Diana was beautiful
Not to crowded. Friendly helpful staff. Value for your money. Must see if you visit London. Gardens very nice.
Audio tour is only of the historical part of the palace, but was very interesting to see the history there. You can buy tickets there but this let us skip the line and walk right in
The building is interesting and the story of William and Mary is clear. I was sorry there were so few rooms and so few period furnishings. The last princess of the Punjab exhibit was excellent. And of course the gardens are super.
