The Palace tour covered the part where Queen Victoria lived when she was a girl and when she became Queen before moving to Buckingham Palace. I wasn’t impressed with the rooms that we saw. Our tour guide gave us the tour of the park and also Hyde Park. I wasn’t impressed also disappointed that the memorial statue of Princess Diana wasn’t more visible. We only saw her from the back and the side and the statue was surrounded by overgrown bushes. It just wasn’t the experience we had hoped for. The Cream Tea and scones were the best part. I wish I had done the Buckingham Palace Tour instead.

We enjoyed our Kensington tour very much! Paul, our guide, was outstanding! He was knowlegeable & had a lovely wit! He was very personal, which made the tour much more interesting. We loved our Cream Tea!
We were so looking forward to this tour. To see the gardens and palace finishing with a cream tea! We found the garden tour to be satisfactory and the palace tour let down by the indifference of a number of their staff we encountered during our time there. On separate occasions we found staff to be almost rude. There were a couple of staff members in some of the rooms that we visited who where happy to share information and their knowledge, which was lovely. However this seemed to be the exception. We were denied the cream tea by the cafe staff at the end of our palace tour. We had booked and paid for this as part of our tour. The kitchen staff insisted that our guide needed to be with us in order for them to supply us with this pre-paid service. They would not honour our tickets. That was an unpleasant surprise - our guide was long-gone by that stage post the palace tour. So we purchased, as an additional expense, drinks so that we could spend a few minutes in the outdoor section. However the shine had well-worn off our visit by that stage. Oh, and the staff member positioned in the garden outdoor that early afternoon, we also found to be helpful. Not sure that I'd recommend this tour. Perhaps consider another palace or castle instead?
Our guide Portia was very friendly and knowledgable. We had an amazing tour! The gardens were beautiful with unique wildlife and even more interesting with Portia’s commentary. I also enjoyed the takeaway tea and gift shop. The tour had a really nice flow between locations and I would absolutely recommend this experience to others.
Doug was amazing! His knowledge about the palace grounds was fantastic. Frankly, we liked the garden tour better than the palace tour.
