Itinerary
Now a vibrant cultural hub, Brick Lane was once part of the heart of Victorian slum life. We'll talk about the poverty, overcrowding, and desperation that set the stage for the Ripper's crimes.
This quiet, narrow street hides haunting echoes of the past. We'll explore the Ripper’s connection to the area and discuss the living conditions of women like Annie Chapman.
Puma Court remains virtually unchanged since the 19th century. Standing here, it’s easy to imagine how easily someone could disappear into the shadows.
Many of the Ripper’s victims are believed to have visited this pub shortly before their deaths. We’ll step outside its doors to learn about their final hours and why this pub remains forever linked to the case.
A narrow, sinister passage where Martha Tabram was brutally murdered—possibly the Ripper’s first victim. We'll examine the clues and theories surrounding her death and why some experts include her on the victim list.
This was the site of a chilling clue: a bloody piece of apron belonging to Catherine Eddowes. Nearby, a mysterious message was scrawled in chalk, sparking controversy and conspiracy theories that still persist today.
Known as a haunt for vulnerable women seeking refuge, this church stood as a silent witness to the chaos of the time. We’ll pause here to reflect on how Victorian society failed the women now known as the Ripper’s victims.

Absolutely brilliant tour. Lauri was an amazing tour guide. Very friendly, knowledgeable with a good sense of humour. He kept the group captivated with his storytelling and his passion for the subject was clear. A great way to learn about an infamous part of history, also learning things we didn't know. Would definitely recommend.
What an absolutely fantastic experience! We thoroughly enjoyed the Jack the Ripper walking tour around Whitechapel, and a huge part of what made it so memorable was our brilliant tour guide, Barry. Barry was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic and clearly passionate about the history he was sharing. He brought the stories to life with his engaging storytelling and great sense of humour, making the tour both fascinating and entertaining, while always remaining incredibly respectful towards the victims and the tragic events that took place. What made the experience even better was that it wasn't just about Jack the Ripper. Barry shared so much interesting information about the history of London, the different police forces and the significance of various buildings, streets and landmarks we passed throughout Whitechapel. One little detail that will definitely stay with us is Barry explaining how to easily recognise when you're in the City of London — just look out for the distinctive painted bollards and the coat of arms on the street signs! It's something we'll now always notice when visiting London. Barry really made this tour something special. His enthusiasm, knowledge and ability to keep everyone engaged from start to finish were outstanding. You could tell he genuinely loves what he does, and that passion made all the difference. An excellent experience from beginning to end, and without doubt one of the highlights of our weekend in London. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting London, especially if you're lucky enough to have Barry as your guide. Thank you, Barry, for such a brilliant and memorable evening!
A very interesting tour and Filipe was a very good, knowledgeable and engaging guide! Highly recommend

Really brilliant tour, I learned so much. We had Dougal and he had a perfect balance of enticing delivery and knowledgable info and was very engaging. He really told the victims stories in a really respectful way
Awesome guy 1000000000000000000/10
Laurence was great tour guide
Wear comfy shoes!! There is a lot of information and a lot of walking. The experience is fantastic and extremely enjoyable. Elsie our guide was very knowledgeable and even my 13 year old daughter enjoyed. In fact she is the reason we did the tour.
A great guide with a big smile for horrific stories !! Thank you so much Laurie!
Hadi was friendly and provided fun intel about the city in between designated tour stops. He also didn’t shy away from present day comparisons to give a strong basis on why the victims were portrayed as they were. You can tell Hadi enjoys what he does to make the experience exciting for all attendees and he ensured all were accommodated. 10/10 would recommend.
Simon was fantastic. So knowledgeable about the histrory and a great story teller. 2 hours flew right by. Definitely add this tour to your itinerary, you won’t be disappointed!
We had an incredible experience with Haedi! The energy was fantastic, especially during the cold winter weather, and he really brought the experience to life. He took his time, patiently answered all our questions, and demonstrated impressive knowledge throughout. The highlight was his fascinating personal theory at the end about the Jack the Ripper cases and who he believed might have been responsible. It was an interesting and thought-provoking way to wrap things up! Highly recommend Haedi to anyone looking for an engaging, knowledgeable, and memorable experience!
Had a lovely experience with Hadi, very knowledgeable and included extra bits of information about the city. Well worth it!
It's very funny whilst imformatibe
Simon was a great tour guide. He gave a lot of interesting info about the gruesome murders but also fun trivia about the city and the Victorian era.
Simon was our tour guide. He was such a nice man and explained everything really well! we had a great time!
we had a nice time, our tour guide simon was really nice and i learned alot from this tour. i really recommend it
Hadi was a great guide! He was super informative, giving info of the crimes in a respectful manner to the victims. Beware, at the end of the tour there is a warning to see photos of the crime, he gave a trigger warning throughout multiple points and the photo was completely optional. I thought I would be fine, I was not. Please proceeded that part with caution!
Barry was brilliant, far superior to any of the other tour guides we encountered on our tour. He looked the part and made it very atmospheric, thoroughly enjoyed it, Thankyou!
Barry did an excellent job recounting the story in an entertaining way. A very enjoyable time seeing a different part of London.
Really enjoyed the tour, thank you
Our guide was very knowledgeable and engaged us for the whole duration of the tasks. He attempted to ensure we could all see and hear him, at times this was difficult, simply due to the noise levels at night on the streets of London. He did a good job, and we all got a drink and some chocolate, so that was a bonus. I enjoyed the favourable talk around the female victims and their backstories.
Lorry was very knowledgeable and charismatic, very enjoyable tour. Would recommend a warm coat
This was a very unique and informational tour. It was quite chilling going around white chapel in the dark seeing the places where morbid history has morphed into modern society. Our tour guide Linda was phenomenal and was very lively and theatrical. She blended information and story seamlessly.
Great guy, deep in detail, would recommend to anyone. Thank you
Hadi was amazing! A super informative and engaging Jack the Ripper tour with endless extra facts, history and recommendations for the city!
We didn’t know much about Jack the Ripper prior to this tour but tanks to our excellent guide, Hadi, we learned a lot!
Definitely worth your money and time!
Hadi was a great guide. Fun and really interesting Tour
Cedric was terrific! He did a great job not just telling the story, but also using the walk as an opportunity to show off some unique architecture and history which he (and we!) found personally interesting. As someone interested in the Jack the Ripper story, this was an unexpected plus, but this is probably most valuable to people who aren't sure they're into the story--i.e. if your spouse/friend/family wants to go but you're not sure how you feel about the true crime aspect, rest assured there will be plenty of other interesting tidbits that will keep you engaged regardless! And if you are there just for the JtR stuff, don't worry--he doesnt skimp on the story at all, his great presentation and knowledge of the city is just a great plus!
Laurey was amazing! He was so lively and lovely and really enjoyed doing it! Amazing!
Dougal was a great guide; very knowledgable and approached the topic with the nuance and sensitivity it deserves. Would recommend
Cedric is really good!!!!!!!
Tom did an amazing job with the Jack the Ripper tour
As weird as this might seem, it turned out that I attended the wrong Jack the Ripper tour. But this error proved to be a blessing in disguise because Cedric invited me to join this one instead, which I'm glad he did. This tour was absolutely brilliant and although I knew certain aspects of the history of Jack the Ripper, even I had to admit that there were aspects of it which I knew nothing about, like the fact that one of the victims was stabbed near the eyes. (sorry if that grosses readers out here, but where Jack the Ripper is concerned no one can sugar coat what he did) But I also noticed that some of the guests were feeling a bit sick about some of the murders which Jack the Ripper did, but Cedric wasn't sugar coating it and this was especially true about the murder of Mary Jane Kelly and even though you can see photos of what she looked like when she was discovered, gruesome doesn't cover it. It is seriously beyond disgusting. One of the photos of her remains was in colour, but I warned one of the guests that even the black and white photos is worse that the colourised version. One unusual fact about Cedric is that he is originally from Switzerland, more so in the French speaking region. This is ironic because I'm also half French and I was talking to him in French as well as English during the tour. He then asked me why I wanted to go on this tour and I ended up telling him aspects about Jack the Ripper which although maybe a myth or legend, could very well be true. Some locations with regards to Jack the Ripper are rumoured to be haunted by some of the victims. One location is 29, Hanbury Street which was the scene of Annie Chapman's murder and her ghost is rumoured to haunt that location. Another which although we didn't go into is The Ten Bells pub. This one is rumoured to be haunted by Annie Chapman and Mary Jane Kelly. (the rippers final and youngest victim), as well as other ghosts. I always felt that there must be certain locations with regards to Jack the Ripper which have a paranormal connection and being a paranormal enthusiast who has studied this subject for almost 40 years, he found it extremely fascinating. So did some of the other guests who I also told this to. Another fact he wasn't aware of is that there is a Jack the Ripper museum which I told him and the other guests are worth a visit, but because it's the size of a house is quite easy to walk by and miss it. This is a brilliant tour and I credit Cedric with his passion in telling the story and his knowledge is the GOAT. If you ever go on the tour and Cedric is your tour guide, you will be in for a treat. But be warned this tour isn't for the squeamish and as I stated earlier, Cedric won't take prisoners he tells it like it was. He won't sugar coat one of London's darkest and most gruesome pieces of history, and he has no reason to. Heide my warning, this tour is not for everyone. If you are squeamish or have a sensitive disposition then this isn't the tour for you. The subject of Jack the Ripper shouldn't be taken lightly. It is beyond gruesome and nasty, so you have been warned.
Barry was an amazing guide, very knowledgeable, showed pictures of the victims, answered questions and gave a great summary. Worth every penny and the time flew by.
Cédric was a gem! Came solo on the walking tour while in town for the first time and it didn’t disappoint. He kept the groups engaged and was clearly very knowledgeable and excited about the topic. 10/10
Our guide Hadi was very knowledgeable about the incidents that occurred, as well as, providing other information about historical landmarks and back story to life in and around London at the time.
Hadi was lovely! Knowledgeable, polite and a good sport!
Barry real knew his history! Very informative and interesting. I would highly recommend .this tour!!
Was very fun and interesting bringing up good bits about the general area
