We truly enjoyed our tour and learned a lot about the East End and what life was like in that part of the city during that time. Interesting London Tour with teens
We met Judd at 4.30 and he was so welcoming. It was only a small group but it was excellent. Judd was very knowledgeable and was happy to answer questions. We even had a mini discussion of who could be the Ripper. I really enjoyed it and would definitely go on another tour. Loved it, thank you so much.

The walk provides so much more than just the biographical information of the 5 canonical victims of Jack the Ripper. A lot of social and economic background information of the London East End in Victorian England. Highly recommend!

This tour was amazing!! We found out on site that my wife and I were going to be the only people on the tour so we had out guide, Judd, only for us providing a private tour!! Judd made us walk the paths of the discovery of the five canonical victims, putting a very human context to a difficult topic, presenting the super rough neighbourhood of the time period which is an amazing contrast to the gentrified Whitechapel of today. We crossed on our path numerous other groups but we had the best! I started tours with Fun London Tours in 2016 and never wants to do business with any other; thanks Matt :-)

I went on his Jack the Ripper tour with my family, and each of us brought very different perspectives: one person was a film specialist familiar with Ripper portrayals in cinema, another a historian knowledgeable in Victorian social history but unfamiliar with the case itself, and I came as a devoted listener of Hallie Rubenhold’s Bad Women podcast and an avid social history googler. Matt tailored the tour seamlessly to our interests. He was incredibly knowledgeable about both the Ripper case and the wider historical and geographical context. He encouraged our questions and theories, helping us explore them with genuine insight and guiding us on an intellectual journey throughout. His ability to adapt and respond made the tour feel both personal and enriching. Beyond the core content, Matt was a brilliant storyteller and conversationalist. He brought the area to life with vivid detail, and his warmth and curiosity created a real sense of connection. Matt also adjusted very well to our time needs — we needed to leave 30 minutes early from the two-hour tour so my family could catch a coach back to Wales. He kept us fully informed about any content that would be shortened or skipped and asked our preferences throughout. It had been a long, hot day in London, and my mum has ongoing mobility difficulties with her legs. Matt adapted the pace and selected stops accordingly, ensuring the experience remained accessible and enjoyable for all of us. His combination of deep subject knowledge, flexibility, and personal attention made this an outstanding experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his tour.
A must-book experience for all true crime junkies! Matt was an absolutely fantastic tour guide, painting a vivid picture of Whitechapel life in the 19th century while walking our group to the various scenes of the crimes of one of history's most notorious serial killers. We loved our outing so much that my friends and I booked another tour with him later in our trip! The tour was also a fun way to explore the East End of the city, which has tons of hidden gems compared with the more touristy London hotspots.

Myself and 3 friends booked the Jack The Ripper tour and we didn’t know what to expect but we certainly wasn’t disappointed!! Our tour guide Matt was brilliant and made the whole experience so special. He was extremely knowledgeable and took us to all the places where Jack lurked and told us in detail of all his horrific crimes!! He also told us a lot about the horrendous living conditions in 1880 London. He was also very patient with our constant questions and photo taking 😅 I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour and we’re already planning our next tour with Matt and his team!! Fascinating tour- great host Matt. We’ve done a few of Fun London Tours before & this was just as interesting- full of facts, dates & individual details. The walk was very atmospheric too, wandering around the cobbled streets made it easy to imagine the area of that time too. Would highly recommend this & all tours run by Matt& his team.
