The tour was amazing. Our guide, Sarah was knowledgeable and so nice. We recommend her for a tour in French. The way that she brings to story of those women is compassionate and we are moved by her description of the way of life in those days. We were so happy with this tour with Sarah, we strongly recommend. From the 2 sisters from Quebec, Canada😃

Absolutely wonderful experience, the Guide was spectacular
I must say that my recent Jack the Ripper walking tour was very informative and the level of interest for the group was excellent. Ted N
The Jack the Ripper tour was one of the highlights of our trip. Our tour guide Andre was funny, knowledgeable, and did a fantastic job with a very large group. It's a lot of walking but well worth it. After the tour, we stopped at the infamous The Ten Bells, which was highlighted during the tour, for a pint.
Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and really engaging. The tour was good, but our group was very large and some of the walking between stops seemed to take longer routes than necessary to fill time
My wife and I went on the tour guided by Mick, and we found him knowledgeable and passionate about the Ripper case. It was interesting to visit the various locations of key events, although of course only Mitre square is actually still there. For an interesting and reasonably priced activity in London for someone who’s in to true crime this was ideal.
Such a great tour with Andre. He is so passionate.
I loved the experience, but it was very difficult to find our guide and our group because there are multiple Jack The Ripper Tours going on Simultaneously. We received a vague address and nobody could seem to help us. We walked around asking shop owners and finally found the group. It was truly aggravating. Other than that, we loved it!
Sinead was brilliant Highly recommend
Excellent guide 715pm till 9pm on Thursday thoroughly enjoyed well knowledge and great insight always wanted to do this glad picked ripper vision thankyou
A wonderful and fascinating tour made all the better for our tour guide Mike, who's knowledge of the events of that era were superb. Open to questions but he covered every event in every location with such knowledge questions were rarely needed.Would love to return on a dark evening in the autumn / winter with the 1888 fog rolling in. Thoroughly recommended.
Pleasant and lovely pace ...more than we expected..considerate to all needs and still respectful to local businesses and tourists
I purchased the Jack the Ripper tour for my wife which loves true crime. Our tour guide was amazing, knowledgeable, he even dressed the part of a detective which was cool. He had great energy and was super engaging the whole time. He shared cool bits of history that added to the story. We would highly recommend this tour for anyone who loves true crime, history and the obscure.
We had a fantastic time on our tour with Mick! He is incredibly knowledgeable about the area and subject and made sure he interacted with all of us and answered any questions. The pictures/projections were a great addition and really added to the feel of the place and story. I also liked that he ensured we all knew how to get back safely and waited around for any questions. I have purchased his book, so looking forward to diving more into the subject!
The guide was friendly, approachable, easy to follow, and started right on time, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the tour itself didn’t quite meet my expectations. Much of the experience felt like long stretches of walking with relatively little discussion, and many of the stories focused on locations far from where we were actually standing, which made it hard to feel immersed in the area. I was hoping for more unique insights and connection to the locations we visited, but much of the information felt similar to what could be found in a Wikipedia article or online summary. Overall, the guide was great, but the tour itself was less engaging and memorable than I had hoped.
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour and found it absolutely fascinating. As a Ripperologist, our guide was highly knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the subject. His enthusiasm brought the stories to life and kept us captivated throughout the entire experience. My only minor observation, which did not detract from the quality of the tour, was that although the guide was professionally dressed, his suit jacket was not clean. It was a small detail, but first impressions can make a difference...
This was a great, informational tour with lots to see and learn! You can tell the guides are extremely knowledgeable and cover the victims’ lives and deaths with care, while also highlighting the morbid parts that fascinate us to this day. Rob did a wonderful job and was a super engaging guide!
The guide was very passionate and knowledgeable about the subject! There was more walking than talking tho so that detracted a bit for us.
This tour was soooo fun! Peter was such a great host!
We had the great good fortune of having Rob giving us our Jack the Ripper tour. You could tell right away that he is a historian with a deep knowledge of Jack the Ripper and all the mystery surrounding him. It was a thorough and informative tour. Rob answered all of our questions and showed us a glimpse of London that we may have never seen. Very, very impressive. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone.
There was lots of walking with the storyline jumping around a lot. There were interesting moments, but not enough to recommend the tour. The "rippervision" was a joke.
Really good experience - Mick was so engaging and knowledgeable about JTR and the streets around Whitechapel. We did the afternoon tour so started off in the light but finished in the dark - Ripper Vision helped to bring some of the history to life as many of the buildings have long since gone - it was over 150 years ago tbf.
Our tour guide was Alan and he did an awesome job at explaining everything!
A great 2 hour walking tour in Whitechapel with Mick, who knows everything about the ripper. Interesting info we had never heard and gruesome pics, coupled with projected photos in the darkness of the alleyways makes this tour atmospheric and a perfect ripper tour.
Very knowledgeable and personable guide taking you through the heart of the area and key sites where it all happened. Willing to take all sorts of questions
Very interesting walk made more atmospheric by the use of a projector showing scenes of the time. When you turn the corner from Whitechapel High st into the first dark cobbled lane it all becomes very real. Rob was very knowledgeable running through all the theories - go and make up your own mind
Fantastic experience Mick was extremely knowledgeable. He was also polite, funny and looked out for the group navigating the back streets. Highly recommended.
The tour was really interesting, our guide Peter seemed really knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the subject. He also went at a good pace for me, as having some mobility issues I dont walk very fast however I could keep up with the group. In the advert I had seen for 'Ripper Vision" the participants were wearing virtual reality type vision masks. However Peter used his laptop, projecting photos, newspaper cuttings etc, from the time on to the walls in the many locations. This was probably better as our tour, being at 5pm was in the dark and altogether putting on & removing masks would probably have been messy. A tour really enjoyed by all 4 of us.
Andre was absolutely fabulous. He has dedicated a large part of his adult life to this heinous mystery. His personal research is fascinating and I learned such more about the different theories behind who the ripper may have been. It's a must do walking tour! Wear comfy shoes and a warm jacket if you're going in winter.
A very informative and interesting tour with some good visual aids to help along the way. Our guide, Rob, was very engaging and clear with his description and presentation. Thank you for the fun experience.
I would throughly recommend this tour. Mick, our tour guide was amazing. Very informative, he made sure to engage with everyone on the tour. Very witty, he made the tour very interesting with pictures etc. He also made sure that everyone knew how to get back to the train station which we greatly appreciated.
Our guide Mick, was clearly very knowledgeable on the subject. If there is anything I can suggest for improvement, it's to perhaps highlight the significance of each spot before going into the details, to make things even clearer. Overall, really appreciate having been gone on a Jack the Ripper tour with someone who was clearly very passionate about the history, and about ensuring accuracy.
It was a great experience! Mick the guide was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. We hit all the spots and regardless of the typical London weather, we’re entertained beginning to end. Nice ending at the Bell pub and the “Ripper Vision” wrap up. Buy Mick’s book!!!
A very good walking tour lasting 2 hours with lots of history included. KlareV was a friendly and knowledgeable guide. We had the advantage of a small group.
Interesting perspective on the Ripper murders. Being in the actual locations lend a certain creepiness to it.
The Guide was very knowledgeable but the overall experience was not what we expected. We spent a great deal of time walking around to areas that had no bearing on the Ripper experience. So we decided to leave the party after 2hours without experiencing anymore than we already knew. We found that too much of exsisting area had changed and been replaced which made it hard to imagine the true story of the Ripper.
Super way to spend Saturday! Mick was an excellent guide- entertaining, knowledgeable and genuinely charming. My daughters were sceptical to begin with, but they were quickly hooked on the story. Mick was happy to answer questions, (and I had plenty!). It was great to hear him give his spin on the all important "whodunnit" Highly recommended, we all came away with smiles on our faces having learned something new. Book now, you won't be disappointed
The tour was comprehensive, with a lot of information given on the background of the victims, and the manner in which they were killed. RipperVision (projection of images from a handheld projector) added to it, more than I expected, especially given that we did the 5pm tour in august, so it was still daylight. So why only three stars? Harry, the guide, was fluent in his delivery, but pretty jaded. He’d wrap up each section by abruptly turning and walking briskly to the next stop. He didn’t really seem interested in engaging with questions, generally responding with “good question, we’ll be getting to that later”). Also, and he was pretty clear about this from the beginning (though I wish they’d been a bit more clear on the website when I booked, because this wasn’t my primary interest), this is a tour for people who want to hear *all* the gory details. How were the victims killed exactly, how many knife wounds, which body parts were targeted, were they dismembered/difigured, and if so, where were the body parts found? There just wasn’t that much historical context. What was the press saying? How were the women viewed, either as prostitutes/alcoholics (while alive) or victims (dead). Did people blame the victims, the killer, or both. He did mention police forces (which had been established decades earlier), but really only in passing. What methods did they use?
The tour guide had excellent information and stories of the time. He did a wonderful job retelling the history.
The tour just felt flat and there was so much walking for very little to see. On reflection though, considering the reign of terror was nearly 150yrs ago, I shouldn't have expected to see much. 2 streets from that era were still there that were connected to JTR, but you had to have a good imagination to put yourself back in those days. The tour guide had faultless and incredible knowledge, so credit to him, but would I recommend the tour, don't know if I would
There are precious few illuminated visions but they add juice to the narrative. We're not rubbernecking fools but we gad a 12 year old granddaughter along. She enjoyed the talk. Us - we would have not gone. Guide was properly dramatic but subject was not intragel part of London
A very insightful tour of the Whitechapel area and its gruesome history. Our guide, Rob, was engaging, funny and very knowledgeable. It’s an hour and a half walk around the streets of London with some projected images to give a look at how the exact spot you are standing on would have looked in 1888. Well worth your time and money.
Our guide, Andre, was really entertaining, lively and well informed (despite the searing heat - if it's warm, take yourself a bottle of water!). It was fascinating to see some of the actual places that these gruesome, unsolved murders took place in historic London. Really enjoyed learning about the theories behind who The Ripper could have been. I have my theory, but I recommend going along to see which you think is the most likely...although we'll never know for sure!
Excellent fun, lots of information if you are interested in this subject. You get to walk around and see to the best of their ability the places where the murders were committed. Guide was animated so kept everyone engrossed.
The guide (Alan from Nottingham) was mose excellent. He kept the large group corralled and informed over 2 hours. His knowledge and narrstive was extensive. There were many other groups working the same route so it did also involve movement coordination between guides.
Fun way to see a different part of the city. All the events happened relatively close to one another so there's not as much walking as on other historical tours. Docent uses a projector to show historical images onto the sides and ceilings of current structures that now stand to give you a sense of a century-ago. There are some autopsy photos so wouldn't bring small children (unless they're into that). Enjoyed the cultural and historical bent of the tour as well.
This was an exceptionally interesting experience, perhaps not for young children . We had a young female guide who conducted our walk , her presentation was excellent.
If you know the story of Jack the ripper . You will learn nothing new. I was was expecting to see the sites, but there are none left Not sure why they call it a tour of nothing. Ripper vision was a joke
Sam. Our guide exceeded our expectations by a lot. He was extremely knowledgeable as well as personable. Great guy. I would love to hang out with him and talk more about the Ripper.
We had a great time with our guide! (Harry/harold/henry? Very blue eyes) he was super knowledgeable and had a great presence.
