Guided Tour Of Harry Potter Film Locations Of Lacock & Cotswolds

We had a wonderful day exploring the magical world of Harry Potter with Simon as our guide! The tour through Lacock and the beautiful Cotswolds was a fantastic experience, filled with fascinating stories, stunning scenery, and iconic filming locations. Simon was friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic, making the whole experience even more special. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and would highly recommend this tour to any Harry Potter fan!

Visiting Harry Potter filming locations was one of the biggest dreams of my life. This was so emotional for me… I liked the most that our guide, Simon, is a big fan of the books himself. The trivia was so much fun. I wish I could spend more time in Lacock village to wandering around on my own but for my mom it was good amount of walking. Thank you Evans tours and Simon, my 11 year old self was chuffed to bits! 🌷

I would definitely do this again. Not only did Simon show us the filming locations of Harry Potter, but he made it very fun by adding trivia questions about Harry Potter but he also talked about other parts of History during the tour.

Our tour guide, Simon, was incredibly knowledgeable on the Harry Potter series and was able to bring to life the locations in the movies for our group. He brought a lovely atmosphere to the day.

It would have been difficult to visit these places on my own from London, so I’m very glad I joined the tour. I was also very moved to see the places and scenery that I had seen in the Harry Potter films. It was a wonderful and memorable experience.

Great tour! Simon is very friendly and keeps you entertained with Harry Potter facts or quizzes throughout the tour. All admissions were included + transport, which was great because if you’re trying to come to these places without a car from London, it will cost you an arm and a leg if you’re booking shortly before your trip…the tour is cheaper! The only thing I wish is that we had more time! It’s already a 10 hour tour, but a good chunk of it is driving to the locations. While the drive is beautiful, you don’t have much time on the ground. I understand with trying to do this in a day though. Simon did a great job with the time he had though - a lovely guide! Oh also, lunch options are limited in Lacock, I recommend packing your own sandwiches or what not.

An incredible and wholesome experience, to relive parts of my childhood was spectacular. The tour and the commentary from the guide Simon was absolutely incredible and well thought out.

Tour was amazing. Was only a group of 6 on mine and smallest group tour I’ve ever been on. It was so nice and really allowed for great interaction with guide. Guide Simon was amazing. So knowledgeable, very fun, and gets interactive asking trivia and keeps you entertained. He really brings a fun energy to the tour and provided London facts on the bus ride which was awesome. Really good tour for fans or I’m not so much but the person I went was and I still had a great day. Great mix of movie scenes and solo time to wander and explore. Great quality bus too and driver Martin was awesome.

The trip was delightful. The places we visited are a must-see for Harry Potter fans. Simon was a great guide, very dynamic and very knowledgeable, both about Harry Potter and the history of the places.

Interest, informative, enjoyable

Our kids are huge Harry Potter fans and named their two boys after characters, so it was fun seeing them interacting with Simon, our guide.

As Harry Potter fans, this was really enjoyable. We saw a dozen or so movie filming locations between Lacock and Gloucester. The village of Lacock is amazing to take a stroll in even if you are not a fan of Harry Potter. Simon l, our guide was very knowledgeable and was very descriptive of the film locations and what scenes they were in. He also have a lot of interesting historical anecdotes about the villages and other buildings along the tour.

Simon was wonderful! He had lots of information to share about both locations.

We like our tourguide Simon with a great hat :) I was afraid its going to be more to the history and not: the history was on the background, the main topic was Harry Potter. Just in the Lacock we would appreciate a more time, ať least +90 minutes. I know, the arrival would be not 18:30 but 20:00, still it worth it! Othwerwise it was a great trip!

Our Harry Potter tour exceeded our expectations. We saw interesting and beautiful film locations. We also enjoyed lovely countryside.

Simon, our guide, was fantastic! He mixed humor with facts and fun trivia questions for house points throughout the trip. He is very knowledgeable about the way things were done for filming which we wouldn’t have gotten had we gone on our own. We weren’t rushed so we got to explore the areas and had plenty of time for coffee and meals. I’m very happy we chose this tour and would definitely recommend it!

We had an amazing time on the Harry Potter tour of the Cotswolds. I wish I had booked more tours with Evan Evans. Simon made it so fun and was incredibly knowledgeable about Harry Potter and the filming locations. We had extra time to explore on our own as well. What a great day. Can’t recommend enough if you are a true Harry Potter fan.

Simon was knowledgeable and fun! He made our tour so interesting. Included facts about the areas and history instead of just Harry Potter. Malek was a very safe driver. The weather was hot on our day so it was great that the coach had air conditioning. We had plenty of time to explore each area after the guided portion. We'll worth the money!

Simon was very knowledgeable about HP scene spots. He was prepared with scenes on his phone that proved the location was correct. The day went quickly.

The tour was fantastic, showing off highlights of both the UK and the Harry Potter movies. Our tour guide Megan was an absolute joy to have with us as she explained much of the history of the places visited, as well as what locations the various scenes were filmed in. She was also incredibly accommodating of the needs of the group. It was an absolute blast of an experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in both Harry Potter and the history of the United Kingdom.

As a solo traveler, I truly appreciated that Megan went out of her way to take photos for me throughout the day. After giving everyone free time, she would even wait with me for the crowds to clear so I could get the best possible pictures — something I didn’t expect but meant so much. She shared great insights and fun facts about the films, kept the day running smoothly, and made the experience feel personal rather than rushed. The locations themselves were beautiful, but Megan’s care and knowledge really elevated the whole tour. If you’re a Harry Potter fan — especially traveling solo — this tour (and Megan as your guide) is an absolute must.

The chore was incredible. Our our guide Megan and our driver AJ we’re both fantastic.. Megan was full of incredible information and Taylor, the tour to exactly our interests.. she was helpful and supportive every step of the way and need the tour even better. This is a must due to work the village was quaint and like a picture. The cathedral was gorgeous and ornate.. If you’re on the fence, don’t be book this tour

Beautiful tour and having a guide made it a huge learning experience. Megan was an excellent guide --thoughtful, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. She answered all our questions, showed us exactly what the potter-heads wanted and gave us plenty of free time to explore including recommendations.

Simon was a pleasure to have as our tour guide. He kept the long ride interesting and his little pun jokes were great. Lacock Abbey and Gloucester cathedral were breathtaking and very worth the ride!

Was really awesome, was good to see that potters house and the corridors of hogwarts were real, and not a movieset. Good explanation of the city.

I loved her enthousiasm. Her fun facts and and knowledge about the harry potter scenes shot on the tour locations. also she gave us some quiet time in the bus where she wasnt talking. Most people were taking a nap anyway, so that was not a bad idea too. We also had some time to explore the areas on our own.

This was the highlight of our girls trip! Seeing the actual filming locations and walking the halls where our favorite movies were filmed was just amazing! Our tour guide, Simon, was so knowledgeable and truly made the tour. He had pictures and videos of the movie so we could see the clip first and then “walk” in the actors’ shoes in the real location. It was truly magical. We all appreciated the Harry Potter quiz questions throughout the tour by Simon and especially enjoyed the sorting quiz. Cannot recommend this tour enough!
