Wonderful afternoon tea. Disappointing tour of pace. One main road on shut. Was expecting there would be so much more to see.

Itinerary
Start your royal London tour at the Guards Memorial, where your guide will introduce the British regiments that guard the royal palaces.
Settle in for a front-row view of the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace. While most tourists jostle for space in front of the palace, they'll actually miss most of the main event! Instead, your guide will lead you to the perfect vantage point to see the full spectacle of the New Guard's arrival with a band, and share interesting insights about this celebrated British tradition. (if option selected)
From there, stroll through the beautiful Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, where you’ll see iconic landmarks like the Diana Memorial Fountain and the Albert Memorial. Along the way, your guide will bring London’s royal history to life, sharing tales of the monarchy, famous figures, and royal dramas to fully immerse you in this staple of British heritage. (if option selected)
Before your self-guided tour of Kensington Palace, you'll indulge in a traditional afternoon tea at the Orangery, complete with scones, sandwiches, and more in a delightful baroque setting. (if option selected)
Your final stop is Kensington Palace. Explore this historic residence at your own pace with an audio guide to imagine life as a young Queen Victoria in these grand surroundings.

George was very knowledgeable about the history of London. He knew exactly where to take us for a great view of the changing of the guard and the hidden gems in Hype Park and Kensington.
Danny was a great guide. The tour was a lot of walking and full of great information. Learning about all of the different residences was awesome. The Afternoon Tea at the Orangery was fantastic. It was a great tour but be prepared to walk a lot.
Guide to as knowledgeable about the royals and had a great tour from changing guard at Buckingham to Kensington Palace. Lov d the tea experience at end. Highly recommend.
Our guide Danny was an absolute blast. Very knowledgeable and gave us a great experience. I would highly recommend.
Ollie met us on time. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He didn't rush us. And he answered any questions we had. It was a very enjoyable tour.
My rating has nothing to do with our Tour Leader Deirdre who was excellent. I expected to see the three things highlighted in the title of the tour, not do a Grand Walking tour around the park system of London. I have a bad back and after watching the Changing of the Guards we proceeded in walking a great distance to see monuments, around a big lake, through a garden (which was nice) until finally ending up at Kensington Palace. A total of 14,570 steps. My back was killing me by the end of the tour. Had I known there was so much walking involved I would NEVER had taken this tour!
A lot of walking but well worth it. Kate showed us wonderful places in the garden. The tea was a lot of fun and a well needed respite before going into the Palace. Kate also told us lots of information about the Palace before entering.
Our tour guide Charo/Shadow was awesome! She was fun, informative and very kind! There is a lot of walking, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes!
It was a lot of walking, involving approximately 3.5 miles. So be prepared and wear comfortable shoes. The tour guide was nice and shared many stories and historical facts. The meeting point address in the tour description was incorrect. It would be easier to find if there were a picture of the memorial we were supposed to go to.
Guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. Saw a lot of good sites. Soldiers parade was fun. Tea was great.
Amazing tour! Becki was extremely informative and friendly. Thank you so much!!
Great tour thanks to our guide, Judd! He shared lots of interesting commentary during our trip and was a lot of fun to spend our time with! I highly recommend taking this tour with Judd - you won’t be disappointed! High tea was a delight and the Kensington palace tour was wonderful!
Lots of walking so wear comfortable footwear Phill our your guide was fantastic.. very engaging and knowledgeable.Enjoyed his stories.
Danny was a wonderful guide who explained the sights and history. There is a lot of walking which was fine for us and Danny was very attentive and patient. The pace is relaxing Nd the tea was a nice highlight.
Ollie was absolutely wonderful!! We had the most fantastic morning with him walking by Buckingham palace, through green park and Hyde park and onto Kensington palace. He was a delight at tea to explain the different the sandwiches and treats. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!!
Such a splendidly lovely young lady! She was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her subject matter. Wished she could point out all the treasures in London while my sister and I were visiting! Becki is a treasure!
Becki was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We saw so much since Changing of the Guard was canceled due to extreme heat. Having afternoon tea was lovely and delicious .
Excellent value for money. Lots of walking and interest with Sharan who was our guide. She did a great job
Very nice and friendly! Private tour and got to see new parts of london I haven’t seen
Kate was our tour guide and she was great. The tour involved a lot of walking which left only small bits of time for each stop. Kate did a wonderful job of telling us the history but the time crunch really limited us. It was cool to see the changing of the guards at Buckingham but it’s important to note that you don’t get to stay long or get close as you have to stick to the tight tour schedule. Tea at the Orangery was lovely and a highlight of the tour. The tour does not include a guided tour through Kensington Palace, but the palace was our absolute favorite!! The information and displays were so informative. The Punjabi Princesses exhibit was by far the best exhibit we have ever seen.
Great way to get to Kensington palace through the parks All up there is alot of walking. It is flat and 2 drink stops along the way. Wear appropriate footwear And umbrella for hot/ warm and rainy days would be recommended.
Becki went above and beyond for my son and I. She mixed good conversation with great knowledge, was ok with our quick walking pace. And even adapted the tour a bit to show us more because we were running ahead of schedule. This wasn’t just a tour. This was us learning from someone proud of their craft and making a friend. I would absolutely do this again.
George was great! My family was severely late getting to the meeting point, but we were able to find the group after asking many other guides. He welcomed us and caught us up. Pace is great, and the little cafe stop was a bonus. Ice cream is always great in the summer! Tea was also fun. A perfect amount of food for a mid day snack.
Sharan was great! Very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Would highly recommend this tour
Ali did an amazing job. Would recommend this tour for anyone
We had a great experience even with the high temperature causing the Changing of the Guard to be canceled. :( George was a great tour guide and kept us entertained with many stories during our walk.
We had a wonderful tour with George!
We had a wonderful day on our guided Kensington Palace tour, Changing of the Guard and a delightful high tea experience. Deidra was an outstanding guide—knowledgeable, friendly, and fun to be with. Everything was well organized, and the high tea was the perfect finishing touch. A fantastic way to experience some of London’s most iconic traditions. Highly recommend, especially if you have Deidra as your guide!
Danny was an excellent guide born and bred here. Very nice, personable, and knowledgable. This is an extensive walking tour that was amazing. I felt like I saw two days worth of sights in this 5 hr tour.waling through three parks, passing by palaces, Danny explained it all. Having tea at Kensington was splendid. Lovely setting in Queen Anne's Orangerie. Enough food and tea for all. We had a small group of nine people ranging from 10 years to 75. Danny kept us all entertained. He showed concern that everyone knew how to get back to their destination. His direction got me to the proper underground to my hotel. Also there was a woman with a recent foot injury, and I had an unexpected, recent back injury. Danny was very considerate and we both finished the walking tour. Danny, if you are reading this I have made it back to The Shakespeare Pub near my hotel, and I am enjoying a lager. Here is a toast to you. Thank you for a great day!
Amazing! Excellent knowledgeable guide!
Highly recommend this excursion! Our tour guide was engaging and informative. So much information and we got to see a lot of things!
Sharan was wonderful, getting us to the best viewing spots for the guard change and providing with lots of knowledge about the history and locations.
This was an amazing tour! Sharan was exceptional and very informative about the history of the areas we walked. Be prepared to walk!
The guide was excellent. He knew his stuff and communicated well. I had 2 issues with the tour. 1) the meeting place is confusing. I had a taxi drop us off at the address, but the address is a long street. The actual meeting point is by the memorial statue. 2) the description says 3 miles walking. It was actually almost 5 miles. So if thats alot for you, think twice. The tea was lovely and we were in good position to view the guards marching back from Buckingham palace. It is not the actual changing of the guard at the palace. Still fun to see though
It was wonderful!! A lot of experiences packed into a half day!! Ollie was knowledgeable and made the whole experience fun for everyone! Would definitely recommend the experience and our awesome guide, Ollie!
Fantastic tour! Saw the changing of the guard parade, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, Kensington Palace and a lovely high tea at The Orangery!
A lovely walk through the parks and nice afternoon tea. Kate was very friendly and knowledgeable. A very enjoyable experience.
An informative and well structured experience. Katie our guide was knowledgeable and provided a variety of details that added context to every site we visited. Overall a wonderful experience, made more so by Katie.
Becki was wonderful. Her in depth knowledge was outstanding. Plus her tips for vantage points was extremely helpful.
Sophie was a real pleasure! It was a warm day and she made sure we were able to take breaks in the shade
Take this tour with Shadow! We had a private tour with her, exceptionally friendly, and easy to be with. Not to mention she has a Masters in history from Cambridge. She showed us everything. Wonderful education of the gardens, palaces, changing of the guards it was incredible. She had so many wonderful bit of history and fun mixed in with the tour. Highly recommended.
The exact same thing that happened to Jerry, happened to me. We were told to meet at the Guard Memorial, but the street was closed off so we had to walk there. We arrived at about 5 minutes before the tour start and saw no one except a different tour group. We called Viator and after holding about 20 minutes, they told us the tour started and we could not join them. So we went to BP and watched the guard change. This tour is not necessary. Viator wouldn't issue a refund so I will reach out to my credit card and dispute. Since Viator books local tours, they don't stand behind it if the local company leaves without you. All our other tours were fine.
Danny had his hands full with our tour…the state’s opening of parliament shut down a bunch of the pathways and roads. We didn’t see the changing of the guard but we saw a TON of royal processions! It was amazing and an unexpected experience! Fantastic! Danny stayed calm and composed throughout despite the unexpected road shut downs and rain. Our group had several persons that were not physically ready for the pace of walking…any complaints from them is because they booked an event they were not physically prepared to do. Danny accommodated as best he could and was pleasant the entire time. He had wonderful facts and energy for the entire event. Thank you!
Danny was a fantastic guide! Super knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. Would recommend this tour to anyone!
Best tour that I have ever been on! I highly recommend Danny of Walks tours.
Yet to receive refund for partial tour cancellation
Our guide - Peter - was amazing!! That being said the changing of the guard was cancelled and no one let us know in advance or we would have changed tour date/times. Tea at the Orangery was only so-so. A British member of our party said it was a very scant service and you share tea with the group, you do not get to enjoy with only your party. Tea with strangers isn’t what we were looking for on our honeymoon. You will do a lot of walking - around 5 miles - and you will learn and see a lot so that was great. Again Peter was a true highlight of our whole trip.
I’m sure most viewers won’t get to see this review. If you put the meeting point address in your “maps” the actual location is about 1/4 mile off. They “request” checking in 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour. After locating the meeting point, because we weren’t able to find the meeting point and check in we discovered the guide left with the group at least 5 minutes prior to the start time. Since we had 3 hours to “catch up” to the group, I asked to forgo the tour and just attend the tea. But they would not I allow us to participate in any of the tour.
Imagine my surprise when I arrived for my group tour and the other participants for whatever reason had not arrived so I got to do this amazing tour 1:1 with Danny. I was made to feel most welcomed and very comfortable as we embarked on our walking journey together. Dani was so knowledgeable and entertaining and amazing at his job. It was lovely to be able to share afternoon tea and have fantastic conversation. Either in a group setting or 1:1 Danny is marvellous at what he does. Thank you so much for a memorable day. This will be one that I’ll remember for the rest of my life. Thank you!
