Due to special circumstances we got a combined Cotswolds and Stratford-upon-Avon tour. Great value for the money because our excellent guide Ash made sure everyone got to see the best of both tours, plus taking the most beautiful routes. It was a perfect day. Can highly recommend a day tour like this. Hope you’re lucky to get Ash as your guide.
What an amazing day Great tour guide Beautiful countryside
This is a really great trip but it’s a long day. There is only as much walking as you care to do as the cities are mostly self guided. Our guide, Nathan, was wonderful. He was funny and informative and patient and had a very relaxed manner. He was also the driver and he is an excellent one. I highly recommend this trip as it saves you the trouble of navigating the roads but you get ample time in 4 different towns. Comfortable van but get there early to claim a good seat.
This was a wonderful day trip. Amazed how we were able to get so much sightseeing packed into a day without feeling rushed. Elijah was the perfect tour guide. Great recommendations at each stop. Entire experience was an A+!
I’ve always wanted to take a tour of the Cotswolds and see the little villages. In my opinion, this day trip is perfect for getting a better sense of the area and figuring out which places you might want to revisit on your own later on. I thought the selection of locations was excellent, and there was plenty of time to explore everything at a relaxed pace. The Cotswolds are simply enchanting! Just be prepared for large crowds of tourists at the popular spots—it was quite difficult to snap a photo without someone else in the frame! 🙈 Elijah was a very pleasant tour guide with a wealth of knowledge. Many thanks to him, too, for getting us safely from A to B.
Nathan was very helpful during the whole trip and he was taking care of everybody. He also demonstrated a great level of communicational skills. I love the subtlety of his tones when introducing the touring sites. He also exhibited his rich knowledge on British history and literature.
We'd never been to the Cotswolds and this tour was a great introduction. We spent just enough time in each beautiful village. Our tour driver Nathan was the best!
This trip was amazing. I picked it for the stops at Stratford Upon Avon and Stow on the World. And it was wonderful. The guide, Ash, was great! He made good recommendations at each village. Definitely recommend.
Paul was a great guide. We loved the ability to roam around the stops on our own. Beautiful highlights of the English countryside.
What a lovely break from the hubub of the city! Bucolic rolling hills, grazing sheep, iconic vistas we have all enjoyed in the movies, bustling market places and quaint eateries. It was a rainy day, but hey! You don’t visit England for the fine weather! With Nathan as our guide, we never felt hurried and he gave us an informative and often comical commentary to compliment the overall experience. For anyone looking specifically for gifts of the Cotswolds, you WILL find them, but - READ THE LABELS, or you may discover you didn't get what you were looking for.
I loved this tour! I’m not a group tour type so the small sized group was perfect! Ash, our guide, kept us safe and comfortable on a bad weather day. He’s funny, very pleasant, and so knowledgeable. I would recommend this to everyone.
The Cotswolds tour was fantastic visiting a number of villages which were all beautiful. Nathan our tour guide/driver was amazing. He took great care of all who was on board the bus and i never saw him without a smile on his face. You can tell he is passionate about his work. Loved every minute of the day.
Nathan was a wonderful guide and driver, great humor and super kind and informative as well. I enjoyed the tour and the different perspective of England that I got.
It was a very pleasant tour through the Cotswolds. The guide/bus driver (Nathan) was pleasant, knowledgeable, and just about perfect. The bus itself was not wonderful. The seats were rather small, and the aisle was narrow. It made getting in and out a bit unpleasant. But it all worked in the end. It didn't hurt that the weather was good.
Ash, our tour guide and driver, did a great job leading us around the Cotswolds. There was plenty of time in each location. He was able to point out best places to eat, shop and where to find bathrooms. Ash used some back roads to keep us away from the tourist traffic and we were able to appreciate the beautiful landscapes. Just be aware some places are pay to pee, so have some 50p in your pocket or you will have to use your credit card.
We had a wonderful time. Paul was so knowledgeable and kind. We would highly recommend this tour. It was a great day.
This trip was amazing! Our guide was quite knowledgeable and gave us excellent directions. The greatest of the greats was the home of Shakespeare; the end .
Wonderful. Ash provided so much extra interesting info and commentary. Very entertaining and informative. Appreciate that he arranged to use scenic back roads and off-peak timing to avoid crowds.
Nathan was amazing!!! Very kind and informative. Good driver. Went above and beyond. Would recommend.
A bit rushed, but there’s no other way to see so much of the towns and countryside in a day. Amazing views in this small group that allowed us to take many of the backroads.
Great day traveling with a small group from London to Stratford upon Avon and the Cotswolds. Our guide Ash was very informative and tried to give the group the best tour he could in the time allotted. Bonus points for giving us tips about London and places to eat and also being a great photographer Enjoyed the day traveling to the beautiful quaint towns in the English countryside. Would definitely recommend this tour for a great day trip away from the city.
The Cotswolds are just as beautiful as in your dreams. On an overcast, sometimes drizzly day I was afraid the view would be disappointing but they were far from it. Absolutely stunning. And the guide was excellent. We had a wonderful day.
An excellent tour of the Cotswolds with Shakespere thru Get your guide. The trip was on time, with Ash being an excellent host. He explained all the details with jest making it fun. Just loved it and would highly recommend. A small coach made visiting some points possible.
This was a wonderful experience for us! As the first trip to the Cotswolds, it could not have been more perfect! Our driver / guide, Ash, was knowledgeable about the area, its history and made the journey memorable! The spectacular weather just added that much more to our day.
Ash was a wonderful guide through the beautiful Cotswolds! He’s not only an expert tour guide but a great photographer. My daughter and I had a fantastic time, and the bonus of lovely photos together to remember our journey through the quaint, picturesque villages of the Cotswolds.
Great trip. Ash, our driver/guide was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the area and the countryside. Very enjoyable and highly recommend Ash as your guide.
A great way to see these sights. Would have preferred one less stop in the Cotswolds giving more time in the others. Lots of great information and history provided by the guide. The scenery of the area was just beautiful
Strict timings but a very informative and fun experience, Ash is particularly entertaining. It is a fantastic way to be introduced yo the region.
Ash is the best tour guide. We were in a small group and Ash managed our time well showing us so much of Cotswolds. Gave us plenty of restroom and food breaks. Ash was funny and kind and took some really great pictures of us and took a beautiful group photo that he shared with us at the end. Best experience out of all the tours I booked.
What a fantastic way to spend the a day seeing and learning some of the most beautiful and charming places in England! Our tour guide and driver, Ash, was extremely knowledgeable, super enthusiastic and good natured. Not only did he give us tips, facts, and points of interest at each location, like where to eat and what to see - Lots of great places to eat and opportunities to shop or have a photo op - he also pointed out interesting things along the way too! He was also very happy to help anyone out with taking photos, and can confidently say does a great job at it. The tour itself is well worth the money, you get an entire day out in the Cotswolds, which is easily and famously one of the most beautiful places in England, and the stops are well spaced out and you get a good amount of time at each location. The coach is perfect for those like me that dont like larger crowds as it seats up to 17 people, and is comfortable, roomy, and air conditioned/heated. If you're looking for a day trip out of London, I'd highly recommend Shakespeare's Coaches!
The Cotswolds were beautiful and the countryside so pretty. Ash did a great job driving us and giving us all the info on our stops.
Ash was a wonderful guide on this trip. We learned so much and got to see so many beautiful places. The thatched roof homes and historic limestone houses and buildings are not to be missed. Our trip was made even better by the nicest group of fellow travelers. Highly recommend this tour.
Our driver/guide, Ash, was terrific…very personable, knowledgeable and a good sense of humour. We had a wonderful day in the Cotswolds and Stratford upon Avon. We walked 14,000 steps! I would highly recommend this tour.
Great experience! Very delightful and enjoyable. So much charm at every spot we stopped at.
Professional personnel and knowledgeable. Would recommend
First and foremost, everybody must do this tour. Ash was our tour guide! Just an endearing, kind gentleman. We were very blessed to have someone so knowledgeable about the Cotswolds! We have got to make it back to spend some more time in this area. Best wishes from Houston, Texas USA.
What a great way to explore the Cotswolds! Ash was our guide and timed our trip just right, stopping at many different villages, each with a unique feel. Each stop he provided recommendations of what to do and where to eat with just enough time to explore each stop. Not only did we get to see many beautiful spots, but he also successfully avoided several delays by navigating the backroads providing additional quintessential views of Englands countryside.
Well planned to give you exposure to more Cotswold towns than other tours. Ash was a great driver/tour host!
Let’s start with Paul, our guide. Very knowledgeable, friendly and understanding! He knew all the history, which is always a plus for me. There wasn’t a question posed that he couldn’t answer. I was very impressed by the Cotswolds portion of the trip! I had no idea what I’d be seeing and the entire area is stunning! Stratford was interesting. Quite a change from the beauty of the Cotswold portion of the trip. It was really a more traditional “tourist town”. (Still, definitely worth seeing and our time there was appropriate for what is available. My favorite part? Having a beverage in the oldest pub in England. Cheers!
Very personable, very knowledgeable and very entertaining. Paul made every customer on the tour feel like they were his only customer. Thanks for taking the pictures by the door for everyone
Our driver Ash was friendly, informative and patient, but I would have preferred a smaller group. The bus was not very comfortable as we were stuck at the back. It was a rainy day unfortunately, so that dampened spirits. The trip itself to Cotswolds' (2nd time) and Stratford-upon-Avon as well worth it for the beauty and history. We weren't too sure about the timing of stops (maybe being at the back we missed some details) Would have planned our day differently had we known that one stop was going to be a lot longer than the rest right form the onset. All in all a nice tour especially for first time travelers to the areas.
Ash was absolutely great! He made sure we had an enjoyable day and was very informative on all the places to see and eat while visiting. He insured our safety the entire trip! Would definitely do this again or spend more time im each stop.
What a lovely day. Ash was knowledgeable and the journey and history info was great. Much better than when I booked last year!
Worthwhile, charming, quaint, all the above apply to this experience. Ash, our driver was ebullient and full of energy.
What an amazing guide and experience. He was really knowledgable and gave us nice stories to remember. He also gave us good reccomdations on other places, restaurants, etc.
This tour was fantastic. From start to finish our guide Nathan was very helpful, kind and gave us explanations on all of the Cotswolds villages we visited. Some of the villages we had already visited like Bibury, Bourton-On-The-Water and Stow-On-The-Wold but nonetheless we had a great time. This was a day tour to remember thanks to Nathan and Shakespeare Coaches Tours.
A "grand tour" of several Cotswolds villages, the history and modern day sights are fascinating. You tour villages independently. Ii would have liked a local guided tour, but this arrangement left exploration open for discovery. Our driver/Bus guide Nathan made the journey wonderful with his onboard explanations and his terrific personality.
Paul is a great guide. Very knowledgeable about the area. Pleasant with people. Plays great music! Clean bus
We had a fantastic time with Ash. He was very knowledgeable of the area and kept us entertained with his stories. Van was very comfortable and plenty of time at the stops
