There is never enough time to see everything. So don't waste any time and make the most of the trip.
A wonderful day spent in the English countryside, even though there was light rain for most of the day. Sam, our tour guide, had many interesting stories about the villages we visited. He also gave several lunch options in Oxford during the trip.
Took a pretty long mini bus ride to get there. It was a rainy and very cold day. But the charm and sights of this historic town quickly made it a very memorable visit.
Fantastic guide. Really loved it.
The guide was subpar and didn’t really provide any information on the towns or history. We also didn’t have a ton of time at the cities Buford or Burton on the Water. Please note that this is not a guided tour. You basically get dropped off and told where to pick up the bus. The Viator description indicated we would get a walking tour in Oxford and that did not happen. You don’t even get a good description of the places to even figure out where to go.
It is a lovely way to spend the day and get outside of London. Loved seeing Oxford and the Cotswold. Giles was a great guide
Our driver John and your guide Tiger (yes that’s his real name), were amazing! Perfect end to my first trip to the UK. If I book a tour again it’s because of them
Excellent introduction to The Cotswolds area - Oxford was great with our guide, Giles, providing a nice optional walking tour before free time. Giles managed a large group very well and was charming and full of history!
Friendly and engaging driver and guide made this day tour very enjoyable, informative and interesting .
We absolutely loved getting to see the Cotswolds and Oxford. Our tour guide Trish was super sweet, funny, and informative! She did a great optional tour of Oxford that hit the highlights of some of the popular buildings. It was a great way to see these cities without having to get a rental car and worry about the stress of driving. Michelle did a great job driving our bus especially when there was a road closure and she had to navigate the country roads. It was super impressive!
Our guide Gilles was phenomenal. Well planned. Perfect amount of time at all spots. Highly recommend.👍👍👍👍
Great day with the bus trip broken up into smaller trips to allow rest breaks. Tiger, our guide for the day was first class and just full of knowledge his ability to give information was very helpful, you will have a mire thorough understanding of the UK after listening to Tiger, beautiful day snd destinations eith a guide to match. Only drawback was the coach have massive signage on the bus windows advertising their company name, this took away from our experience as,taking photos from the bus was hard and looking through the signage all day made the relaxing trip not as relaxing as it should have been. They need to remove or shrink down the signage to allow better passenger viewing as the trip is about us and not the company.
You got a bit of the cotswolds and more of oxford …with a nice tour of oxford with our guide Giles…he was great
This was such a great day, I enjoyed these towns massively. Our guide was friendly, transport was really great. I do wish we had more time in the first two towns as they were more small business focused whereas a lot of the college town was souvenir shops. Definitely recommend.
Giles, our tour guide, was excellent. Great attitude and very knowledgeable of all the areas/stops, The Cotswolds was a beautiful town with lots to see, good shopping and food/snacks. Oxford is excellent for pubs and restaurants. I recommend getting out of the city to The Perch for lunch or dinner Leave plenty of time to get back though, as there are some bottlenecks on the way back,
Please discontinue the Buford stop on the Cotswold/Oxford tour. The only item to visit is the old church. Extend the Oxford visit with additional stops for areas to see.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. Tour was informative he kept everyone on time.
Wonderful, interesting tour.We visited 2 Cotswold villages in the morning, Oxford city in the afternoon. Emily was our guide, Ed was a driver. They did great job in looking after our group ( there was 32 of us).Emily is a cheerful and friendly guide, I really enjoyed her commentary. She gave us tips and suggestions what to do and visit in London..
Amazing tour! Easy to find where to go, Giles was a great tour guide sharing knowledge about each place. Highly recommend.
We thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Trish, our tour guide, was very informative and approachable. I wish we had a little more time in Oxford to explore the colleges.
Trip was nice. Bus was horrible the seats were too small. I’m only 5’8 and my knees were crammed into the seat in front of me. It was even worse for taller people. Recommend more time for the two Cotswold stops and less time in Oxford. Guide Amy and Bus Driver, Toni were awesome!
Perfect - liked the schedule and team
Tour was as advertised. We would loved to have had more time in Bourton-on-the-water and less time in Oxford. Our guide was Jen and her walking tour was very nice. She asked people to be timely and warned at every stop that the bus would leave if you were late getting back to it. Someone was late at every stop. No one was left behind even when the man was 15 minutes late returning.
The trip was good, as our guide was informative and entertaining. There is a lot of walking involved, but it was worth it to see the villages of the Cotswold.
I’d say the tour was equivalent to the cost. You really need more time at each location but with a tour like this you only get a short amount of time at each spot. I’d come back and spend more time at each location. The bus was not as comfortable as a bigger bus as leg room was less. The ride was not as comfortable either. It did have usb charger though. The bus wouldn’t start at one location and we had to leave later which reduced the time at another. You really don’t have a lot of time at each place to do much but a general look around.
Wonderful scenery, the small villages, Oxford. Comfortable bus. Nice guide and driver.
Long drive and not quite enough time in the Cotswold villages. Would have liked to spend more time in both villages. Oxford was very interesting, our tour guide Giles, was funny, helpful and very informative.
Our guide Charlie was EXCELLENT, he did a fantastic job, oh gotta give a shout out to Ed, our driver. The villages were fantastic, I enjoyed experiencing the villages and getting a taste of the environment. All fives from me!
Beautiful day and our guide tiger was very helpful and informative .
Absolutely recommend this tour! James was the best guide ever and I so totally joyed Oxford visit .. ! The coach was so comfy!
Outstanding tour! Our guide, Giles, was sensational at telling stories about the area and specific towns of our stops while weaving in some facts that emphasize the history. John, our driver, kept us on schedule to maximize our time at each (3) stop. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and learned the history of the region along the way. We would definitely recommend this trip and the Giles/John team!
Too touristy, just visited the shopping area . Bus was too tight. It was hard to see the view out if you had a aisle seat.
Great tour. Our tour guide James was full of great info. Pace was comfortable and stops were very scenic. Really enjoyed it.
Great trip with a wonderful guide who gave us a lot of information and history throughout the trip. This is my second time on this trip and I enjoyed it.
It’s a lovely relaxing day in a serene village. We had time to walk throughout the village, shop or stop for tea/coffee and pastries. We also traveled to Oxford University where we were able to explore some of the campus. We then had free time to explore on our own. All in all, it was a great day. I should also mention the bus was comfortable and special shout out to our tour guide and driver who made the experience truly enjoyable.
Wonderful experience exploring the idyllic villages of Cotswalds followed by the hallowed grounds of Oxford. The tour guide, Emily, was knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks to her, we were also able to book an additional tour of the Christ Church college while at Oxford. The length of the tour was ideal with several breaks and time to venture out to places at our own pace.
Excellent and informative. Such a beautiful village and Oxford was lovely. Amy the tour guide was a wealth of knowledge. it's a full day though planned well. Back in London in time for dinner. A must do.
Enjoyed this tour very much! Being a solo traveler with limited time, this tour allowed me to see TWO towns in the Cotswolds as well as Oxford. A bargain for what you experience! Sam was a wonderful guide and John was a safe driver; they made a great team. Overall this tour is a great 'taster' for those who are planning on exploring more places later. The bus was also comfortable, which made for a pleasant day trip!
Sorry to write the tour guide Emily was very rude and not friendly as a guide….she was arrogant to answer when me or my wife asked or requested any thing to her….most of other passengers with us in bus were also not happy with her behaviour Tour driver was good and friendly and tour was satisfactory over all
Lots of fun being able to freely explore different spots. Our host Emily was wonderful, she was such a joy and was so kind, and very knowledgeable! I really liked her suggestions for things to look for and things to do at each location
Charlie was a wonderful guide. Very cheerful and informative without being too intrusive. Rob was a very skilled driver and we always felt comfortable and safe. I would highly recommend this tour to others.
Great experience, Cotswold was fun and beautiful! Oxford was amazing and our guide gave us lots of information about the building we walked by
Trish was a great guide and made the day enjoyable. We felt we were in good hands with her and Dianna, our driver. he pick and drop off were convenient. We strongly recommend this day trip from London.
We loved this trip! Our tour guides, Charlie and Rob, were excellent! Incredibly friendly, fun and knowledgeable. They both had excellent recommendations for food, sweets and shops. Oxford was neat, but the highlight of the day was the Cotswolds, particularly our second stop at Bourton-on-the-Water. What a charming town! It was picturesque with the early fall weather. We had some delicious ice cream at a lovely Italian outdoor ice cream kiosk. After shopping a bit, we sat on a bench under a willow tree and admired views and the small town atmosphere while also enjoying a delicious scone from Mrs Rolt’s Tea Room. We could’ve spent the entire day in this town. If you need a small town getaway from the bustling city, book this trip. Highly recommend.
The Cotswolds-Oxford trip was a perfect one day trip- the Gloucester pick up location was very convenient for us and the whole trip was very punctual. We got a few hours at Burford and Bourton on the water - which was perfect to get a flavor of the Cotswolds. The second half day was at Oxford which is so gorgeous. We got about 3 hrs here - it was a good spot to catch a bite and explore the university area. They dropped us back around 6:30 at the same pickup point. The tour guide, Amy, was excellent and knowledgeable and I highly recommend her 1/2 guided walk in Oxford.
Amy is an amazing guide, Cambridge graduate with exceptional vocal and professional presentation and public speaking skills! She gave us an exceptional high quality information peppered with engaging storytelling about many things, to name just one a twist about a mass expulsion of students from Hereford College over a pub timing and a college curfew, which we did not know. That was a funny thing to learn. We highly recommend this tour!
What a lovely way to spend a day in the Cotswolds! Our friendly and informative guide led us through 3 Cotswolds villages with plenty of time to get off the bus and explore.
The tour of Cotswold and Oxford was value for money. Cotswold is calm serene and beautiful. Oxford of course is a must visit due to it's historic relevance. Amy was a wonderful guide whose infectious enthusiasm kept the whole trip interesting with her humour clarity and good cheer The trip was well organized, the Coach comfortable and punctual Best way to round off a memorable holidayin England/London
Nice and lovely trip , Sam is a great guide and chill person. The trip is brilliant and worth it but i guess an addition of some sort of activity would make it more fun .
