Itinerary
The journey begins with a visit to the charming market town of Woodstock, one of Oxfordshire’s most attractive and historic destinations. Steeped in history and renowned for its elegant Georgian architecture, Woodstock offers visitors a delightful blend of heritage, character, and quintessential English charm. Take time to wander along its picturesque streets lined with independent boutiques, antique shops, traditional inns, and inviting cafés. The town's rich past is reflected in its beautiful buildings and welcoming atmosphere, making it a perfect introduction to the timeless appeal of the English countryside. Enjoy exploring at your leisure and soaking up the unique character of this delightful Oxfordshire town.
From Woodstock, we journey into the heart of the Cotswolds to the historic market town of Stow-on-the-Wold. Situated at one of the highest points in the Cotswolds, Stow is renowned for its impressive market square, honey-coloured stone buildings, and welcoming traditional inns. Once a thriving centre of the medieval wool trade, the town today offers a delightful mix of antique shops, independent boutiques, cosy tea rooms, and historic pubs. Visitors can also discover the famous north door of St Edward’s Church, framed by ancient yew trees and widely believed to have inspired J.R.R. Tolkien’s depiction of the Doors of Durin in The Lord of the Rings. Take the opportunity to explore this enchanting market town at your own pace, uncovering its rich history, architectural beauty, and unmistakable Cotswold charm.
The final stop brings us to the charming village of Bampton, nestled among rolling countryside and known for its traditional limestone cottages and peaceful village green. Bampton’s historic parish church, St Mary the Virgin, and its quiet lanes lined with characterful homes perfectly capture the enduring charm of rural England. The village is also recognised as a filming location for the beloved television series Downton Abbey, offering an added point of interest for fans of the show while remaining an equally delightful and authentic Cotswold experience for visitors discovering it for the first time.

Thx to Robert & Callum for a nice day
We truly enjoyed our guide, Robert, and the historical information he shared. Michael Angelo was our driver, and performed with skill! Both gentlemen were a delight and we highly recommend visiting the Cotswolds!
Tour is good. Lot of driving. Robert the guide and Gary the bus driver know their way around. They give you time on your own to walk around and look at the buildings, with recommendations for where to eat.
Lovely day in the Cotswold Area. Robert our guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable and walked us around each town. Gary our driver was very attentive and got where we needed to be.
My mom and I had a great time on the guided tour to the cotswalds! Our driver Gary was awesome and so was our guide Robert. We learned a lot and saw so many cool things that we wouldn’t have known about if we had went by ourselves. We would definitely book another tour with them if we come back to England!
The Cotswolds Guided Day Tour was very nice, tour guide was very personable but I wish we would of gone through a village with stone houses and thatched roofs. I had done a tour several years ago with another vendor who visited a village of this sort. Maybe you could suggest another tour of yours which would provide such a village.
Fantastic driver and guide! A wonderful experience!
Absolutely terrible experience, my tour was cancelled with less than a weeks notice, booked well in advance and couldn't change dates as my daughter works on a tight schedule, we booked as liked the itinerary and to cap it all to rebook something similar would cost another £74,and they only offered a full refund, this is absolutely not acceptable and extremely disappointing, so now we have no day trip at all to look forward to
We found Angela was extremely knowledgeable on the history of London and the Cotswolds area which made this tour really enjoyable.
Angela and Gary were great. The towns were wonderful. The stays were well-timed.
Guide Gary was wonderful! Ride by Gary was smooth.
Great experience! Robert and the driver were absolutely great! Highly recommended
We had the most magical day ever! Manon and Menton did a phenomenal job taking us to all the most beautiful places in the Cotswolds and I will forever remember our day! THANK YOU!!!
Enchanting itinerary, embellished by a lively, engaging guide who is prepared with passion (Robert).
