Was a very funny night! Went for partners birthday, great value for money, we was well looked after. Would definitely go again. Also great venue, drinks was decently priced especially for London. Thanks for having us.

Another great night on The Boat Show Comedy Club. This is second visit - and was as good as I remembered. Great atmosphere - bar on deck with dance floor is great and the view of the river at night is fantastic. Comedians brilliant ! Really enjoyed and will visit again in future. Excellent value for money - would recommend 🎉
we had a blast all 3 comedians had us laughing all night the lady compare was also hilarious food and service was fab too excellent value for money we were a hen do of 9 and we all very much enjoyed it as well as the dancing to old school tunes later in the evening thanks all we really did have an fabulous time
Good show and good experience
excellent value for money, very professional and top comedy including the host Jonathan Elston. Highly recommend.
Very good laughed the whole time great atmosphere
Went last night for my birthday. We had a really good night. Highly recommend. Not something we'd done before but would definitely do again. We had a drink and something to eat on the boat beforehand which all added to a good evening. If you're in any doubt, do it!
Great comedy show, good value for money and great location
Very good value and overall funny entertainment . I do my best to ensure I’m never sat at the front for obvious reasons, however we failed on this occasion, but must say we enjoyed the banter and humiliation by the host. Hal Cruttenden headlined and he was extremely entertaining as was Kelsey De Almeida. I have a lot of respect for the newbies, they are so brave to get up there !
We enjoyed the show! only downside was not being able to pick our seats and being sat under the air con for the show which was on full due to the heat wave, we’re were shivering! but the show itself was very good !
The comedians were so funny, haven’t laughed so much since I got divorced
Great night great entertainment will go again
I recently went to the Boat Show Comedy Club and honestly, it was a brilliant night out. From the moment you arrive, there’s a really lively, welcoming atmosphere. The venue itself is a bit different from your typical comedy club, which actually adds to the experience it feels more relaxed and less formal, like you’re in on something a bit special rather than just another night out. The comedians were the highlight. There was a great mix of acts, so the humour never felt repetitive. Some were sharp and witty, others more laid-back and storytelling based, but all of them had the crowd properly laughing. You could tell they knew how to read the room and adjust their material, which made everything feel natural rather than scripted. The crowd interaction was also spot on not awkward or forced, just enough to keep things engaging and unpredictable. Even if you’re not usually into being part of the show, you’ll still enjoy watching others get involved. Drinks and service were good tooquick, friendly, and not overpriced compared to similar venues. Overall, it’s a really solid choice for a fun night out with friends or even a date. If you enjoy live comedy, this place is definitely worth checking out. I’d happily go again.
Great time and great atmosphere!
This must be the best Comedy show in London. Great location ,have a drink on the top deck taking in the views over the London Eye before going down to the comedy show. We had four comedian last night ,all giving us a great night of fun and laughter, went home very happy .Good value for money
What a fantastic night of laughs from start to finish 🤩
Really good laughs, perfectly set up, you get escorted to your seats, which was unexpected but a nice touch
My girlfriend and I went to the comedy show as a birthday present - had the best time. Jack was extremely friendly and communicative in the lead up to, and on the night. Performers were all great and the general atmosphere was lovely. Staff were also great! Thank you Jack would definitely come again!
A really talented group of comediennes, just the right balance between humor and raw facts. Audience tends to be middle aged and above.
I'd never heard of the Comedy Club until I was kindly gifted a 4 person voucher for my birthday. Now that I've been once, I'll definitely be back, maybe even with same the three friends. In short, the venue was welcoming, intimate and the four acts were extremely professional and hysterically funny, as was the MC, who was there less to warm things up than to get them on the boil from the off. You can even disco the night away following the comedy sets! Might see you there, sometime.
My third visit. Excellent night out for a friend’s birthday. All acts were funny and entertaining. Great atmosphere. We loved it.
Extremely high quality comedy with loads of variety. Big belly laughs all night. Friendly, helpful staff. Can’t wait to book again!
Booked the Boat Show Comedy Club for our work Christmas do. The boat is a fantastic venue, the acts were extremely funny and had every one of us laughing heartily. They were all very different but equally funny! This was my first time at the Boat Show Comedy Club, but I would definitely recommend to friends and will come back myself! The staff were friendly and welcoming - Jack had called me prior to the night to talk me through what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised to receive the call and felt like we were in good hands from the start. There was enough time in between acts to grab a drink and have a chat which worked really well for us. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and said they would go again :)
Fantastic funny night, all four comedians were great. The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable with a nice level of engagement with the audience, hilarious and edgy but not offensive. Very comfortable and well positioned seating - we were celebrating some birthdays and Jack made my friends feel special . The night was so fun we stayed for the nightclub, afters few drinks on deck soaking in the night lights on the Themes. Thank you for an entertaining and fun night loved by all!
Amazing evening. All four comedy acts were brilliant and we were belly laughing most of the night. The show ran smoothly and the staff were really friendly. We stayed on the boat to be in the night club afterwards which worked great. All in all a fantastic night.
We've been here a number of times and this visit did not disappoint. Fantastic service right from booking the tickets, to the show itself and I even had a prosecco delivered to our table, for my birthday. Lovely little touch. The comedy was fantastic, real laugh out loud, eyes streaming type stuff! Great night and a perfect way to celebrate my birthday! Thanks all!
Celebrated my 50th with a group of 21. I couldn’t have found a better place! This venue ticked all my boxes; great value for money, table seating very well thought out, great host (Jack made my experience faultless) not forgetting the hilarious comedy out the icing on the cake! Standout food comments went out to the chicken wings, cod and chips, crumble and re dang bites and burgers. Will certainly be coming back. Thank you all at the boat show.
It was an okay show. The host was great but 2 out of 3 acts were average. We were also in the back row and it was hard to hear and see so I don’t think we got the full experience- especially for the price of the ticket.
Absolutely LOVED the Comedy Boat Show ! We dined in the restaurant first and food was delicious. Such a great atmosphere and a bargain price too. Do it !
Excellent organisation and communication from Jack. Lovely place to dine before moving into the comedy room. 4 excellent comedians and great MC. Great value night out.
Fun night out, well organised and funny acts, would definitely do it again. The location was good and the food up on deck before the show was also good.
Seating was an absolute joke staff appeared to be reserving seats for friends , we were sat right at the back couldn’t see much . Staff quite rude and unhelpful would not recommend at all Do something else while in London .
Don't expect the show to start on time BUT, once it does watch out because it will leave you rolling in the aisles. But, that's just a figure of speech because it's to confining to have any aisles. Perhaps laughing to hard that your tears will be flowing and containing laugh driven farts will be your biggest problem
I booked a few days before. Great communication. On the day I received a text to confirm still going & any special requests/celebrations. I like seats being allocated All the comedians were good & the atmosphere was brilliant with a full house full of customers. 10 minute walk back to Waterloo I'm already looking forward to my next visit !
This was the best night, best comedy I have seen, amazing views and music after the show. The whole vibe was brilliant, would highly recommend
The comedians were lame, very disappointing. Left after the third act. Boat was nice enough but the bathrooms were smelly. All in all, disappointing evening.
Absolutely brilliant night with my 19 year old daughter. Diane Spencer made us reel with laughing all round brilliant experience. Would recommended to people with a no holds barred sense of humour
Outstanding experience in stellar location directly in the river. Good bar and fish and chips. 8 local acts with good host. Great entertainment for those who like new and upcoming comedians. Glad we went.
We booked for five at the Comedy Show Boat Club for my daughter’s 30th, not really knowing what to expect as we’d never heard of any of the acts. But they were all hilarious! Lovely cozy venue, with the gentle rocking of the boat, and a great atmosphere all round. Went to the lounge at front of the boat for a post-gig drink with incredible views of the Thames and London Eye. Brilliant night! Would throughly recommend.
What a shame this visit was. We went as a hen party and on the journey over we had a card game with silly but friendly dares, this caused us to be giggling when approaching the boat show. When we entered the security said instantly that we were intoxicated and wouldn't be allowed in. Although he said we would get a refund we offended and confused. They take 5 pound deposit from all attendees to ensure no heckling takes place. This instant entry refusal made us question what type of comedy show this was or why it was so strict. After convincing the manger that we are not drunk, but were laughing at the wrong time she let us in as long as the bride to be removed her sash and her bride to be crown (seemed unfair as they knew before hand we were a hen party) the 3 stars are for the comedy act who were very good. But with such a strict experience we felt awkward to laugh to hard or join in which is the complete opposite of what the comedians want you to be. The manger later apologised for the misjudgement but it had already left a sour taste. I would say as a comedy show its as good as other on land, but they do have a lil disco afterwards with cheesy pop songs. I may have had a different experience with a different entry, but im not sure it would have been more stars anyway. Shout out to the amazing bar staff though, friendly and welcoming.
My experience was memorable and amazing thanks to Jack, who solved an issue with my tickets with professionalism and kindness. The comedy was great and enhanced by the amazing setting on the Thames. I am truly touched by the kind and thoughtful treatment we received from Jack, would recommend and will certainly be returning for more comedy nights.
Always a good time, great acts and great atmosphere as well as being easy to access, they have Asahi on tap too!!!!!!!!!!
We purchased tickets via Central Tickets, however, due to this were treated very rudely. Firstly we were placed on seats at the far back corner where we could not even see the stage. After complaining to two members of staff we were moved to seats, also in the back row, despite there being numerous free seats nearer the front. Following further complaint we were firmly instructed that "because we hadn't paid for the tickets (which was not true) we could not complain about our seats". We were shocked at being treated like third class citizens and so rudely. We have never previously had a negative experience when booking via Central Tickets and other venues have treated us politely and equally to other attendees. Our whole night was ruined. I have been to many comedy clubs in London and elsewhere. I have never experienced any other comedy club that chooses to allocate specific seats to customers as they arrive. No other club feels this necessary. In the Boat Show, carrying a clip board seems to have gone to someone's head, as she flounces around deciding where to sit people. A completely unnecessary, very divisive and non-inclusive policy.
We had only 2 nights in London and we booked Comedy Night on the River Thames with high expectations for this intimate dinner and comedy venue. Dinner was fine and we then proceeded to the comedy show. After we were seated and waiting for the show to start an announcement was made that the show was cancelled! We heard the comics in the back so it wasn't for lack of performers. The audience was about half full for a small venue. No explanation by management. So disrespectful to the patrons and the comics. Of course we got our money back, but we wasted our limited time in London. Management apparently does not believe in "the show must go on."
Staff was great, lots of good interaction with the audience. My wife and I really enjoyed ourselves. We would certainly recommend for things to do while visiting London.
It’s a bar, it’s a restaurant, it’s a first class comedy show n it’s on a boat on the Thames! Best Friday night out at a very reasonable price in a long time. MC was welcoming & witty, engaging with the audience from the start. 3 comedians with time to grab a beer, a comfort break or some fresh air in between each act. A fantastically funny night. Will be a return visit when we’re next in London Town!!
Very funny show. I really enjoyed the emcee. She was hilarious, got the crowd involved and had great energy. I brought my 18 year old daughter, who surprisingly enjoyed it as well! Would definitely recommend.
great show and night. we at the restauant on the same boart while waiting for doors to open. restaurant was ok. the comedy club was amazing. 3 comedians and we managed to understand most of the local jokes and accent...they run this a couple of times a week and for so many years. i guess it depends what comedianas you have each night but i assume they pick them correctly. the host was hilarious as well.
The Boat Show is just the best comedy night in town. Having celebrated its 25th Anniversary last week with a stellar line up, it's one night you can guarantee for a belly full of laughs. The boat setting gives it an intimate feel and amplifies the fun and laughter. Get there early for some good food on the other side of the boat. All in all, it's a fab night out and the views are pretty good too.
Let me start this review by saying (I never give reviews normally) this was so superb an experience they deserved credit and much more! Had some of the best comedians I have ever had the privilege to watch. Christian Knowles the MD of the company who manages the comedians was just so glorious. Jack De'Ath and Ally Wilson not only professional, but lovely and over-worked by audience requests remained so, and they handed me a glass of prosecco for the 25th birthday celebrations of the show (so that gives a hint how good it is!) and in my opinion will remain . It is a joy and a breath of fresh air and brings happiness back to comedy.
