If u are looking for something more personal than the usual headphones when u visit a museum then I highly recommend this tpur. It is a small group tour and when I went yesterday I was a group of 1!! The guide, Guy, is young in years but he was extremely knowledgeable: full of interesting facts and data on Churchill, the War Rooms and WW11. The perfect guide. An excellent couple of hours and well worth the money.

Itinerary
Step inside the secret underground headquarters where Churchill and his government directed Britain's war effort during the Second World War. Explore the Cabinet Room, Map Room, Churchill's bedroom and the maze of offices where ministers, military commanders and staff worked through air raids and some of the darkest days of the war. Your historian guide will bring the rooms to life through the people who worked here, from Churchill and his senior commanders to the typists, secretaries, map officers and telephonists who kept this extraordinary underground world running. See rooms left much as they appeared when the lights were switched off in 1945, and discover the decisions, tensions, personalities and everyday realities behind Britain's wartime leadership. The visit also includes the Churchill Museum, exploring the life and legacy of one of the twentieth century's most famous — and complex — figures.

As this would b my first visit to the Churchill War Rooms, and I don't visit London very often, I wanted to do justice to my visit. I was the only member of the group and, although Guy is very young (mid 20s), he was extremely knowledgeable and the perfect guide. I genuinely couldn't have asked for anyone better and would highly recommend him to anyone wanting a good insight to Churchill, the War Rooms and WW11.
We had an incredible visit to the Churchill Ward rooms, large we due to our tour guide, Adam, a history Ph.D. Although his thesis was done regarding World War I, he had an extraordinary grasp of both World War II history, and the role of Winston Churchill in connection with both wars. Adam was not a stuffy academic – he was relatable, relatable, authentic, friendly and humorous.
Our guide Andy made the experionce. He was knowledgeable and informative. He really guided us to the highlights. And hearing from an England perspective was illuminating as Americans. If I could give 10 stars I would. And I recommend this tour, with Andy as a guide, to anyone. I felt like I got a college history course in 2.5 hours.
The tour and Churchill War Rooms were amazing. Sheldon from How To Do History was very knowledgeable. His information and stories brought this time period to life.

We had an excellent tour with Sheldon. Very easy meet up in Whitehall with a walk across the street to the Churchill War Rooms and Museum. Sheldon was very personable, very knowledgeable, and very entertaining. He provided just the right amount of information, and also was able to answer questions or go off on tangents. The tour was just about exactly the right length for us, and then we spent a little more time on our own in the museum. Overall, it was a great experience.

Andrew is a wonderful guide and amazingly well-informed. Much of his knowledge was a bit over my 11-year-old’s head but he still kept him engaged. It was great to get more details and back stories than are covered in the typical audio tour.
If you enjoy World War 2 British history, this is a very nice tour. It said 2 1/2 hours but I think it was closer to 2 hours, which was perfect. Andy, our tour guide was very knowledgeable about British history.
It helps to have some knowledge about WWII and Churchill. There is a lot of information to cover We enjoyed the tour and Andy’s guidance.

Our tour guide, Andy was extraordinary! So knowledgeable about Churchill, WW1 and WW2. He was extraordinary accommodating to us less mobile seniors. I highly recommend this tour.
Andy was our guide. He is very personable and knowledgeable with all aspects building up to ultimately the Churchill story and the war room. Andy's insider slant is refreshing and points out things most cannot capture in a self guided tour.
Andy’s knowledge of the World Wars and of Churchill and all the significant players of that period was impressive. He left us educated and informed. A tour any history fan should do.
