Even in a freezing, windy, downpour, this tour is one of the highlights of our trip so far! Our guide Sara was friendly and knowledgeable. She knew the best vantage points and taught me a lot about the monarchy and the history. She was very patient and sweet with my daughter, who never left her side. 😬Would do it again!
What a disappointment. Do not take this tour if you really want to see the Horse Guard Parade and the Changing of the Guard at the Palace. Nor do you get--as much advertised---a photo standing next to the Royal Horseguards. What do you get? A picture before the Changing of the Guard with Buckingham Palace in the background, a short time watching the Horse Parade on the Mall, and then time to watch the Royal Horseguards away from the Palace. While the tour guide was excellent and very informative, most of the tour is spent walking back and forth across St. James Park seeing very little. Seriously. Seeing the Changing of the Guard is for many a once in a lifetime experience. Go with a tour that puts you in the best position to see that take place.

Amazing! Our tour guide was very kind and explained each of the palaces and took us to secret spots without much tourists to watch the changing of the guard. The horse guards were on holiday so instead of ending the tour 30 mins early they took us to Trafalgar square instead which was very nice of them. Everything was timed perfectly and explained well.

We were taken to four different spots from where we could see different parts of the ceremony. Our guide Eric explained what was going on and gave us a crash course in British history. He did that in such an engaging way that the time flew by. I loved his jokes! I would definitely go on a tour again with him!
Erik knew very much about the history of the guards, royal family and house the lived in. Also knew a lot about statues and noticeable places during the walk.

Rachel was great! She is a very knowledgeable and engaging guide . She explained where we would walk and the whole process and history of the changing of the guard. We went to a few spots to see the guard at various stages. We saw and learned so much more than if we just tried to stand in front of gates for two hours -we were front and center as the band played and then the guards marched from where they start around to castle- great use of our time dnd saw much more of the guard ceremonies with this tour ! Also enjoyed learning so much about the history of the process, the different guard units , etc. We got to see the house King Charles actually lives in ( not Buckingham Palace) and where Queen Anne lives too .
I feel terrible to say this…for future travellers…this tour is worth far more than $20USD. Highlight of our day! Best bang for your buck in London!
We had such a great time with Nick being our tour guide, he is very passionate about his job and history itself and this made us get really involved every single moment. It was amazing ! The guides are nice and welcoming. Especially, our group leader Betsy was really sweet and fun. I would definitely recommend! It was my 2nd time watching the ceremony, but had a better view this time. No regret!

Eric was a wonderful guide. He really knew the history and had a great way of telling the stories that kept it quite interesting. He was also fantastic at answering questions. He was great at finding the best spots to view all the different parts of tge changing of the guard ceremony at all of the palaces.
