Excellent opportunity to see this famous ritual and it was fun. Our guide Katrina was excellent, she was fun and knew her stuff. It’s a lot of walking so be ready for that. We were a good distance from the front of the Palace, thousands of people were there. Huge crowds.

Itinerary
The tour begins at this impressive column dedicated to Prince Frederick, Duke of York. Your guide will introduce the history of the monument and set the royal context for the tour, explaining its connection to The Mall and ceremonial London.
As you walk down The Mall, your guide will explain its role as the ceremonial route used for royal processions, state visits, and major national celebrations. Guests will enjoy views toward Buckingham Palace and learn about its royal and political significance.
Your regal tour begins at the Duke of York Column, located in St. James’, where you’ll greet your guide, don a personal headset, and receive a historical overview of the Changing of the Guard ceremony. Many tourists make the mistake of viewing the ceremony outside of Buckingham Palace. However on this tour, handpicked vantage points ensure you get the best views of the royal tradition while listening to commentary that explains each part of the performance. Marvel at the shimmering coats of the household cavalry as their riders control the horses with expert precision; capture photographs of the iconic red and black attire of the King’s foot soldiers; and, move quickly between vantage points in a small group of only 15 people.
While passing the memorial, your guide will briefly explain the importance of King George VI and the Queen Mother, particularly their role during WWII and their impact on modern Britain.
The official residence of King Charles III (formerly home to the Queen Mother and Prince Charles). Guests will hear stories about its royal residents and its ongoing importance within the Royal Family.
A relaxing walk through London’s oldest royal park. Guests will enjoy beautiful views of the lake, Buckingham Palace in the distance, and possibly the famous pelicans. The guide can explain the park’s royal origins and wildlife.
One of the oldest royal palaces in London, dating back to Henry VIII. Your guide will explain its Tudor origins, its role today, and its importance in royal proclamations.
Your tour concludes outside of Buckingham Palace. Please note: The Changing of the Guard ceremony is subject to changes in date, time and cancellation at the discretion of British authorities. Cancellation due to bad weather is not announced before 11am. Even when cancelled, customers will still see a ‘wet change’ during which the guards march but without the usual music and parade.

Louise was so knowledgeable and made the experience really fun. I was surprised by how much we would have missed if we had of tried to watch the changing of the guard ourselves without the tour.
Michael was excellent-he had us in the right place at the right time and kept us entertained with great anecdotes and history.
This was a fabulous way to learn historical information and our guide, Michael, was very strategic in finding positions in advance to see the Changing of the Guard!
Our tour guide Katarina was beyond wonderful. She was informative without being stuffy or boring, she had a great sense of humor and got us to all the right spots for perfect viewing of each segment of Changing of the guards. I can't say enough positive things about this experience. We took many tours during our recent stay in London and Katarina was top notch one of the best guides I've ever had anywhere.
It was a terrific tour with wonderful narration of the history and terrific timing and viewpoints for the changing of the guard.
Excellent historical information presented by knowledgeable and engaging guides. Well organized, well paced. Impressive to see artifacts from 500 years ago. Yeoman Warder Gary was enthusiastic and entertaining!
Saw areas not normally seen with Palace Changing of Guard. However, the routine Changing of Guard was what was expected from brochure.
The meeting place was a little hard to find mainly because of GPS directing us through the side streets. Once we found our group we had a fantastic experience. Our guide Nathalie was very professional, knowledgeable and funny. She always knew how to position us in the best possible way to have the best view of the ceremony. If we were to watch changing of the guard ceremony we would have had no idea where to stand to get the best view. Highly recommend this experience with Nathalie.
We had Natalie for our guide. Great guide in explaining to us step by step of the changing of the guards. The parade was excellent and Natalie was great explaining to us on how the royal family works. Great job!
Wonderful tour. Our guide positioned us to see all the best views of the Old and New Guard. We never felt rushed and never felt crowded and the information she provided was very interesting and informative. Highly recommend!
Katrina was an excellent engaging and historically informational guide. She kept the pace up, kept our interest and moved our small group in time to see all of the special moments of the changing of the guard as they unfolded. Her commentary, good humor, ability to connect with all the participants and cheerful disposition made our experience memorable, engaging and fun.
Jo was an excellent guide. Very informative and she got us to excellent vantage points for up close pictures of the changing of the guards.
Our guide Katerina was witty, knowledgeable, funny and captivating. Katerina was excellent involing the group in the tour. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour which also included the exhibit Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style which was very impressive.
Tour guide very knowledgeable and very good storyteller. Very good information provided. Great historical events also provided.
Tour guide was great. Very informative and made sure all were safe and able to see the changing of the guards. She really made our day.
Outstanding tour with a wonderful guide named Christopher . He placed us in a perfect location at all stops and really knew his history . Very organized and friendly with the group
We had a great experience on the Changing of the Guard tour! Our guide Ian was fantastic and shared lots of interesting information throughout the tour. He made sure we were positioned in a great spot to see everything, which made a huge difference with the crowds. Ian was actually losing his voice that day, and since we did not have headphones, he still made a real effort to make sure everyone could hear him and did a great job. We were able to see the Changing of the Guard while also learning about what we were watching instead of just standing in the crowd. Ian was knowledgeable, engaging and clearly cared about making sure everyone had a great experience. Definitely a great way to see the Changing of the Guard while visiting London!
David was such a fun host and made an inclement day so fun, he took us to the best viewpoints and gave us warm anecdotes or stories. Highly recommend!!🇬🇧🇬🇧
Booked tour changing of guards London. Got to meeting point early and never found tour guard. Waste time and money. Terrible customer service
Did not see changing of guard as advertised.
This was a really disappointing tour. The price is low and I guess you get what you pay for. I assumed we would see more of the actual steps of the changing of the guard but that was not the focus. Seeing 2 steps (the march and the part at the barracks) and we got almost no information about we would be seeing. The guide Joseph was more interested in his performance and told stories that had no relevance to the ceremony. It was also really inappropriate for him to mention multiple times how much he hated the King and hoped he would die soon. Really ruined the experience. I would recommend the tour operator use him for non- royal related tours if at all.
Very good guide with a lot of experience
Cecily was a wonderful tour guide. Not only was she informative but she had a wealth of interesting stories! We liked having the earpieces to hear her plus she spoke slowly and was easy to understand.
Our guide dud a nice job of keeping the group together abd waiting for the slower people. It would have been nice if the Changing of the Guard sequence was told to us up front. We had no clue why we were running g from St James Palace to Buckingham Palace to Wellington Barracks. Plus when we booked this tour it said we woukd have a great view at Buckingham. That was NOT true. We were far outside the gates and couldn't see anything. The entire thing was confusing.
Amazing experience, guide Peter was very knowledgeable and took us to great view points, he really knew his role well. We had a blast.
Peter was fabulous! Could not have asked for a better guide. Highly recommend
Lesley was very knowledgeable and took us to great views of the Changing. We wouldn’t actually have taken this tour had we not needed to buy tickets for the Queen’s Wardrobe! But, it was worth it!!
Angie was a wonderful Guide showing all the attractions with wonderful detail and dash of humour. Really great half a day spent in London
Peter was an excellent guide (older gentleman with funny wit). He was knowledgeable and made the whole tour fun. Would go again on another tour with him!
Great tour indeed. Highly recommended
David was funny and knowledgeable
Peter the guide was great 👍 recommend 👌 this guy very good
The meeting location was easy to find. It was nice being that ours was on a Sunday, the main road was closed so that made getting around that much easier. Our guide Aaron was delightful! Our tour included the optional upgrade to do the royal mews, and Queen Elizabeth II exhibit, which were both so neat to do as well. The changing of the guard is a lot of walking, so be prepared!
Great experience with Nathalie, she got us all the best spots to watch the changing of the guard on a Friday.
We had angie - she was lovely . She provided some amazing facts and history and the tour went really fast. Would recommend if you enjoy history
Wonderful tour. Ana was very informative and engaging.
The tour was excellent and very informative. But what really made the difference was our guide, Jay. His energy, enthusiasm, and communication skills made the experience interactive, relaxed, and truly enjoyable. I would happily join another tour led by him. I would have liked the guide to join us inside as well, but the audio guide was also useful.
Our tour guide, Jay, made the experience even better than expected. So much knowledge but even more personality! One of the highlights of our time in London.
Our guide Voytek was incredibly knowledgeable and gave great insights. Great tour but be prepared to walk some distance and the tour goes for approx 2 hours before you enter the palace.
The tour guide (Jay) was totally AMAZING!🤩
Our tour guide, Louise, was knowledgeable and fun! She ensured we had a great spot to view the changing of the guard by Clarence House and then again at the Royal Barricks.
Excellent tour!!! Highly recommend. Our guide Michael was incredible...extremely knowledgeable and funny.
Jay expertly navigated our group through a very busy area managing to park at great vantage points to take in the action.
I had such a lovely experience! My ticket included entrance to the Kings Gallery for the Queen Elizabeth In Her Style Exhibit and it was a smaller group than the others that met at the same time. Ian was my guide and he was marvelous! Very knowledgeable and funny - the perfect traits for a tour guide. Because we were smaller, I think we got to stop at a few more places on the way to the Palace for some more info since we could quickly move. Would very highly recommend!
Cecily was not a good guide. She seemed bored, did not get us into position to see the first part of the morning changing activities, and had no idea what to do and seemed to not care when a member of our group sustained a trip and fall injury on the tour. At the entrance to the Royal Mews, which we and the rest of the group had paid for as part of the tour, we all had to stand around waiting for about a half hour while somebody else from the tour company came down to exchange vouchers for tickets. I would not recommend this company/experience.
Sooo worth it! tour guide was great, so knowledgeable and helped us find the perfect spot for the best views. so much fun!
Louise was a great guide. We had a fun & informative experience stopping at great vantage points. Louise made sure that we maintained front row positions at all times. I walk with a cane & another gentleman also had a mobility issue, but we were able to keep up easily. The tour is a great value & I definitely recommend it.
Great tour Gide, very clear and forming commentary, truly enjoyable tour and you will get many chances to take great pictures.
This is a great way to see main parts of multiple charging of guards (different locations that go on simultaneously)! Our guide was very knowledgeable, told great stories and was personable! Highly recommend.
