Having travelled out of London and through countryside of Kent, the first stop will be the historic city of Canterbury, known especially for its Cathedral, which is the most senior church of England and dates back to the year 597ad. Take time to visit the Cathedral and explore the city centre.
Next we'll visit the pretty seaside town of Deal. It was here that the first Roman invasion landed in Britain in 55bc. A previously prosperous port, today Deal is regarded as a 'mini-Brighton', known for its charming high street, sea-front and pier. Take time to explore and have lunch.
The next stop is at the world-famous White Cliffs of Dover, one of the most iconic coastal location in Britain. This is England's closest point to mainland Europe, on a clear day you can see France! Here we have time to take a long walk along the coast path and absorb spectacular views.
Our tour guide Kevin was great! Very knowledgeable about every area we went through. The cathedral and cliffs are incredible! The drive through the countryside with Kevin pointing out interesting items was great.
Nigel is a great guide. He shared interesting history, suggestions for each stop and ideas for offbeat visits in London. And he has a great play list!
Nigel was absolutely the best! He was incredibly knowledgeable, not only about the places we visited but also about the history behind them. He was also very attentive to the group, always making sure nobody was left behind and that everyone could enjoy the tour comfortably. Canterbury was wonderful, and the White Cliffs of Dover were absolutely breathtaking! As we were leaving the cliffs, we also managed to stop briefly in a car park to take a quick picture of Dover Castle. It's a fantastic photo opportunity and definitely a must if you get the chance! Overall, a fantastic experience with a brilliant guide. Highly recommended!
Our tour guide was Liam and we could not have asked for anyone better. Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable, but he goes out of his way to give you the tips and tricks of how to enjoy each stop and the history behind places that we get to see and visit. I particularly enjoyed his British playlist as it really put you in the mood for each destination. Thanks Liam, we loved the tour!

Canterbury Cathedral - magnificent doesn't begin to describe it. If you can, it is absolutely worthwhile to have one of the voluteer guides take you around. I did, and it made the Cathedral experience one of my favorites of this trip! White Cliffs of Dover - breathtaking! I loved that we had plenty of time to walk along the cliff tops to truly take in the fresh air and views. This tour is a wonderful blend of history and natural glories!
Two lovely days spent in Dover. The castle is amazing and the white cliffs are beautiful. On Sunday we did the transport museum and went to Canterbury and went to see the most amazing Cathedral. Still lots to see, but we will be back.

I had an absolutely fantastic day on this tour with Tony as our guide. A great day if you enjoy more solo/independent exploration with commentary on the side. A good way to see a few regions as a taster if you are short on time. It didnt feel rushed but there is so much to see! Tony provided great commentary and stories along the way (as well as a fab play list). Im glad I went, and it was nice to escape the London heat! Would highly recommend.

Canterbury Cathedral, Dover Castle and White Cliffs are hidden gems. Pictures will not do it justice. You have to go there and experience the breath taking views. Our tour guide, Kevin was amazing!! Loved his energy and sense of humor which made the tour in more worthwhile. Highly recommend to add this to your list of things to see.
This was my second tour with Go Tours UK, and it’s worth the small groups instead of the large coach buses. We were able to see and drive through small villages and our driver, Len, was incredibly fun, knowledgeable and for a solo traveler, served as photographer. Amazing overall experience.
Christian is super funny and kind, he told a lot of interesting things about UK’s history. I suggest to reduce the time for visiting Canterbury and extend the time at White Cliffs, so people can enjoy more the walk and the view.
We’ve spent a marvellous day on the 14th of February doing this tour. Christian was fun, it combined interesting historic notions with his hilarious humor. Me and my friend felt very welcomed. A suggestion: I would reduce the time in Canterbury and extend the time to spend at the wonderful White Cliffs. We’ve also been the luckiest to get a day of Sun. Thanks again!
It was a wonderful tour made more interesting and fun with our tour guide, Christian. He was so knowledgable about England’s history which became lively because he injected wit and humor at every turn. We learned a lot while admiring the church and the majestic Dover cliffs. Highly recommended!!!
This tour was great! I went on the tour with my mom and my boyfriend and we all loved it. I was worried that the walk up to the cliffs might be difficult for my mom but from where we got dropped off, it was an easy and short 10-15 mins walk. Christian was a really great guide, giving us facts throughout the coach ride whilst keeping it light and fun. We had our own personal time to explore in Canterbury and Dover when we got dropped off, which I enjoyed as well as we could do whatever we fancied in that area. It was really good value for money considering how far we had travelled and the length of time was perfect as well as we had returned to our starting point before 6PM - so we had covered a lot in a day!
We had a really pleasant experience. Christian was amazing as the tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and always had insightful commentary about the places we were seeing on the bus, on top of sharing funny stories along the way. Being a small group also made the experience feel more personal and enjoyable.

I had a great visit to Canterbury - the cathedral is truly awe-inspiring and the oldest in the country, full of history and beauty. The volunteers were wonderful, offering friendly and informative tours that made the experience even more special. Our entertaining bus driver David was informative, fun and really looked after us. He provided a great pub recommendation at Kent and most enjoyed fish n chips at the beachside. Dover was a lovely contrast, with the White Cliffs providing peaceful nature and stunning views. I also enjoyed browsing the nice gift shop afterwards. Thank you for a fabulous tour.

The tour went smoothly. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Basically we were dropped off at Canterbury, Deal, and the White Cliffs and told to meet back at the bus at a cerain time. Not quite what we were expecting, but a very nice experience. The guide, David, did a very good job.
We really enjoyed the day. Our driver and guide Liam was very knowledgeable and we also enjoyed his British bands playlist. We wandered around the old town of Canterbury which we found very interesting.. Lunch at a pub in Deal, a drive through Sandwich and on to white cliffs of Dover which were absolutely fantastic. The trip was great! Canterbury was beautiful. Our driver, David, was very knowledgeable about the history behind the cathedral and British history in general. Bonus, he sang for us!! The White Cliffs required more walking and it was very windy so wouldn’t recommend for someone who is limited physically.
This tour is essentially just transportation to three locations. Nothing noteworthy or interesting about any of the sites is provided. There seems to be a lack of knowledge of the sites. The website website and we code card provided did not work. Disappointing. Canterbury: main shopping area with major shops you can find everywhere else. Boring. Cathedral admission not included. Cathedral visit was ok, but tour guide information would be much better. 2 hours allocated for this. 90 minutes is fine. Deal: useless. Run down seaside town. There are two small castles nearby. Walked to one, it was closed. Those should be the focus, as it is unique history. Cover white cliffs: Beautiful. More time should be allocated here. The driver told us there are stairs going down to the beach (Langdon stairs); everyone was excited; and then no one could find the stairs. I think the tour driver actually didn’t know. Finally found the gift shop keeper who told me that they are actually not stairs, he tried to describe them, but I think his description was not sufficient to find the path to the beach. This was a big let down for many of us. This would have been the highlight. I’ve done many tours via TripAdvisor in England, all wonderful. This one is a disappointment.

This was a great day out expertly guided by Kevin. His commentary on the areas visited was very insightful and his tips for tourists were practical and much appreciated. Plan your day in Canterbury to make most of the stop there if you don’t want to pay the entrance fee for the Cathedral. The White Cliffs of Dover were spectacular and it was good to see the busy English channel port nearby. I’m so glad I did this day trip with Go Tours. Well organised and professional outfit. This was a really great tour. Our tour guide Kevin was a wealth of knowledge and I don’t think most people on the bus appreciated it. The White Cliffs are spectacular. Wish we could have had more time to explore there. Canterbury is a beautiful town. The Cathedral is pretty amazing. The little seaside town of Deal is quaint and had good Fish and Chips. I am definitely going to book with this tour company again. It is more intimate with a small group. Hopefully I get Kevin again and next time I will sit up front so I can have conversation and learn more. All in all a great tour 10 out of 10.
This tour has potential but under delivered . maybe it was partially due to the rain, but the Cliffs of Dover were not as impressive as we thought they would be. Canterbury was also not as impressive nor met our expectations. The tour did not wow us, wasn’t enough on guidance , history or places of interest . Not a fulfilling trip, it was basically drive to Canterbury go on your own visiting the town get back on the bus go visit the Cliffs get back on the bus.
Just enough time at each location! We were amazed at the beauty of Canterbury ( buy tickets to the cathedral online while on the bus… so you can go right to the gate and not have to wait in line when you get there) and the White Cliffs. Make sure to be prepared for any type of weather… umbrella, jacket, sunglasses! Our guide Jamie was GREAT… he was professional, knowledgeable, entertaining and patient. We had a family that spoke Spanish and thought this tour was in Spanish… however was in English. Jamie was amazing to accommodate them speaking as much Spanish as he could… kudos to you Jamie! This was a great tour: highly recommend!

We took a day trip from London to Canterbury Cathedral and the Dover clifffs. The driver/tour guide (Len) was wellcoming, easy going and his commentry was interesting. The trip was well organized and the Cathedral and cliffs were beautiful.
Len was fabulous and the tour very safe and enjoyable. The temperature of the bus was good, Len was a wealth of knowledge and very pleasant. He’s an asset to the company. He taught us a lot and is an excellent teacher with humor and a lot of facts. Canterbury was quaint and my favorite. Deal was ok, I didn’t find it special. The weather was Perfect and the cliffs memorable. Thank you and go on the tour!

I missed the trip because I got there 7 minutes late due a to labor strike. The tour left because they could only wait 5 minutes because of the strike traffic. I messaged them I was running late due to strike delayed traffic. I was told they don’t look at their messages promptly. They sent me a message that I didn’t see until I was on my way but that was not excusable for me. I was charged for the trip. I had trouble reaching this tour operator 2 weeks before the trip. I contacted Viator about the problem and their response was to “contact the tour operator”. Beware.
Great tour with Liam. He was a knowledgeable guide and also provided a great soundtrack for the trip. Canterbury and Dover were both beautiful places, and Deal was lovely for a lunch break.

Charming shops, rich history, and great places to have a bite. Not too crowded or over-commercialized. We could have spent several more hours enjoying this town.
