Matilda was our guide and she was wonderful. She didn't shy away from the controversies surrounding the exhibits; if she was very factual about what was occurring with the exhibits, why they were occurring and both sides of the issue. I learned a lot and the exhibits were wonderful and emotional for me because some of the exhibits belong to my ancestors and my people

Our tour was great from the beginning. Matilda met us right at the meeting location, and instantly her energy and excitement were contagious. We learned surprising facts about ancient artifacts, and Matilda has a touch of humor with all of the educational stops to keep us engaged. There were two stops to use the restroom/refresh, which was nice. We had a later tour, so the crowds were a bit busy but died down towards the end, which was when we went to the most crowded artifacts, which was great. We would highly recommend this tour to our friends and family visiting, and hopefully they are lucky enough to get Matilda as their guide!
Our guide, Matilda, was well-organized and very informative. Museums this large with extensive exhibits can be quite overwhelming but she kept us focused. She was a joy to be around and had a passion for her subject. It was a great experience.

I booked this tour after arriving in London and finding I had a free Friday afternoon. I have been wanting to visit the British Museum but understood their collections were vast. I was looking for a small group to get an overview of the highlights of various collections and this was the ticket! Our guide, Darcy, met us early at the easy to find location outside the front of the museum. He was very engaging informed (he works at the museum but this was an afternoon off) so he was very knowledgeable. He gave us a great choice of items to see in various sections and provided insights onto those items (which were almost all on my bucket list for the museum). At the end he offered to take us to any items of interest that had not already been covered. We needed time to think about that (note to plan ahead to take advantage of this offer) so we thanked him and took a break before exploring the museum on our own. Great way to get a toe in the water!

I have visited with a husband and a 10 year old daughter. Stephanie was an absolutely amazing guide, she made the 2.5 h tour engaging and relevant. Extremely knowledgable and very funny, she adapted her style to her audience and did an excellent job altogether. British Museum can be overwhelming, if you make a trip to London it is very much worth it to visit with a good tour guide, to make most of your day.
Our guide Matilda was exceptionally knowledgeable and took us to all the key highlights of the museum. Especially loved the Rosetta Stone and the details she had on the artefacts and some of their history. We highly recommend Babylon as we have also used them for the Louvre in Paris. Their guides have been excellent.
We had the good fortune to have Mathilde as our guide for 2 1/2 hours in the British museum. She has a superior depth of knowledge, is extremely personable, encourages questions and answers all of them. She is enthusiastic and maintained her energy level for the entire 2 1/2 hours. She was highly organized and steadily worked her way through all the aspects she wanted us to see and discuss. She is an intrinsically focused learner. She shared if someone asks her a question and she does not know the answer, she goes home and searches out the answer. Mathilde is a top tour guide.

Show up 15-20 minutes early so you can get right in as there was a long queue because of the tapestry showing. Great time, so much to see. Had a semi private tour with Stephanie and she was amazing!!!

Our guide, Darcy was outstanding. It ended up just being my wife and I, so it was a very personal tour. He covered all the major exhibits and gave so much information and history on them. He even covered so much more like other sights around London and the UK to help our visit even more enjoyable. Great way to see the highlights in this huge museum! Darcy did an amazing job! It ended up being just the two of us on the tour, Darcy made sure we saw the highlights and ask what we wanted to see, answered all our questions and not questions just about the museum. He was very knowledgeable and excited about the exhibits and honestly answered our questions.

Our 2 1/2 hour, weekday morning tour of the British Museum with our guide Nathan was terrific! We had no problems finding the meeting place, and had just 5 total people in our group. Nathan expertly guided us through this beautiful museum and not only gave us relevant historical info about important artifacts, but also had entertaining stories which will stick with me long after we return home. Especially enjoyed the library, the Sutton Hoo ship burial and his story of the Rosetta Stone. Nathan recommended the museum restaurant for lunch—and it did not disappoint! Overall an amazing morning (even though we were still a bit jet-lagged!)!
