Tour was delightful! Due to trains not running in the Underground, we were a bit late and George, our guide, was very accommodating and patient! Thank you, George! George was very knowledgeable living in London his whole life. He gave us so much history and insider information. He knows the city and Borough market so well! We tasted phenomenal foods and even a pub stop! A fabulous tour that you shouldn't miss!

Veronica was a fantastic guide!!! Not only food but history as well!! Loved the intimate tour with just my husband and I. She was knowledgeable about the history as well as providing us with fantastic food options 🇬🇧🥰
Excellent tour of the market and great food choices. We appreciated the history background too. Veronica is a great guide.
Our guide Ciaran was exceptionally informative, funny, and knowledgeable; it was a wonderful experience, not to be missed.
I was between a two and three rating here but read on and decide for yourself. We started late which was fine, but it definitely got more crowded by the minute. I was hoping for a lot more from this tour based off the reviews and description about learning about the vendors / food sourcing but this tour with George? Fell a bit flat. I was hoping there’d be inquiries into what kind of food we were interested in and more about the diff stalls and vendors but it was a standard fare of 4 items and 2 pub stops. We never even learned the name of the 3rd food vendor. Sausage roll (great), fish and chips (fine), Mediterranean fare (prefer to save space) and humble and crumble (fine but I’d skip for something else). I was hoping for paella, pork sandwiches, chocolate strawberries and creme brûlée doughnuts but those can wait for another trip. George had good knowledge for sites but I would have preferred to hear more about the market and vendors or even vendors we didn’t eat at as in what else to try on a different day. A little overpriced for what it was. Also it feels like there could be a better relationship with the food vendors to avoid the line waits. I’d suggest a diff guide based on the reviews who feel like read their audience or try another tour.
We did a borough market tour through London bites organised by get your guide . Kieran was our guide and he was amazing . So passionate about the history and all the little stories he told us . Loved the market and tried lots of interesting foods . Argentinian enchilada, fish and chips , amazing sausage rolls , iraqien food and the best crumble ever . Kieran showed us the original site of the globe theatre and dozens of stories . Was the best ever .
Ciaran was an amazing tour guide. Funny, knowledgeable and very personable. The food spots he took us to were all brilliant, evidenced by the fact that everyone had a different favourite on the day! Cannot recommend this tour highly enough - we did it as a work trip but it would be great with friends or family as well. Finishing in the pub was also a lovely touch.
Wonderful private tour with Eric! Learned a lot of Borough Market history, including use of Borough Market in popular movies/film. Sampled many delicious foods, both savory and sweet, including traditional English and ethnic food bites. Enjoyed touring the market and all it had to offer. This tour was one of the memorable highlights of our trip to London!
Eric was an amazing guide and unbelievably personal and very knowledgeable. The food was delicious and well thought out. We never felt rushed and the tour was all we hoped it would be! We love that London Bites supports local and small businesses, green environmental approaches and a world for the future.
Erik was our tour guide. He was so wonderful and was so knowledgeable. We learned so much about the history of the area and the food was AMAZING. Erik brought us to places that were all fabulous foods, interconnected with the city, and supported local small businesses. Erik was so kind and friendly and catered the tour to our group (the food we like, dietary restrictions, etc). There is a great stop for Harry Potter fans! Thank you Erik!
Our tour guide, Trevelyan Evans, provided a very interesting and detailed history of Borough Market. His knowledge of the area and background of the political conflicts between the City of London and those outside the city boundaries were a fascinating insight of the start of the market to Monday day artisan changes. Of course the gluten free food was great too!
We enjoyed our food tour through Borough Market. Sofia our tour guide was so knowledgeable not only on the food but the history. We got to taste all flavors around the world and learn a unique history about the famous London market.
Sofia is such a wonderful guide! She was so knowledgeable about the area and its history, showing us photos and old maps. We ate so much amazing food on this tour, including oysters, fish & chips, doughnuts and brownies. We even got fresh juices made for us. Sofia handled everything so smoothly for us and it was a lovely way to get to know this historical yet TikTok-trending corner of London :)
Having living in London for 3 years I have never done a tour so I finally booked one, no regrets! The tour was great! Borough market is beautiful, with plenty of history and great food! What the tour did for me was really ease my anxiety in such a busy place as a solo person and allowed me to take everything in whilst meeting new people and trying different foods, which was amazing! Have to shoutout my tour guide Sofia, she was wonderful! Very friendly and because of her, learnt so much history about not only the market but the food and surroundings! 100% recommend!
Erik, our guide, was a wealth of knowledge and extremely well-versed in all aspects of the Borough Market. His historical perspective and experience from living in the London area for so long really came through and we loved it. We also walked along the Thames and viewed numerous significant landmarks such as the Globe Theatre, Thames sightseeing boats, famous celebrity constructed buildings and numerous businesses near the market Warning! Do not eat prior to the tour. We had generous portions of many ethnic foods, all of which were delicious. This was a wonderful experience, not to be missed!
It was a truly delightful tour! I did not expect to learn so much while eating in the market. I gained so much knowledge from our tour guide, Sophia. She was so well-versed about the area, and the facts shared during the tour made my experience fun and entertaining. The food was scrumptious and everyone in our group of six left very full and content. I appreciated that Sophia kept us mostly out of the rain—despite the constant drizzle. She was flexible with the weather and mindful of our comfort for the duration of the tour. She even helped us find the nearest Underground station when we needed to get on our way!
I loved this tour. Our guide Sophia was the best tour guide. Her knowledge was impressive. Her personality was great. She was the best.
This was a wonderful tour, filled with delightful food, exceptional information, and friendly tour mates. Our tour guide, Sophia was not just competent and intelligent, but warm and friendly and I felt welcome and at home in London even though I am very far from home. I learned so much and there was more food sampled than I could’ve imagined. Thank you , Sophia! I hope someday, I can return the favor if ever you make it out to St. George!
Sophia was so great. You could tell she loved the history of the market. She was a great story teller, but the best part- the food. We would have never gotten that much food in that short of time. She was allowed to line jump and make things move along quickly.
It was very filling! We ate a lot, so definitely go hungry! And we even finished with a 1/2 pint of beer. Our guide was helpful and added in a lot of historical bits!
One of the best tours of London. Fascinating to see Borough Market and hear the history of London. Out amazing guide Trevelyan made it a truly unique experience. Don’t eat before hand.. you get lots of food.
Tour was amazing ... every stop was fulfilling (emphasis on FILL) and interesting. Our family of four gives 4 huge thumbs up ... please book this tour. You'll be happy you did and your stomach will thank you 😊
This is a must-do for foodies and non-foodies, alike (assuming you like to eat). Trevellian was an excellent and knowledgable guide, who capably shepherded us through the market. Great family experience!
Thanks to Trevellyan for a fantastic tour. We both loved the insight into Borough Market and the variety of food sampled on the day. Definately no need to have lunch after and even if you are from London you will learn a lot. Great fun, light hearted , easy pace and a perfect guide who made the day extra special , thank you !!
Very bad tour. Food was great, but 90% of the time we were walking to distant places just to come back in what seems to be a stall. Worst part is that it turns out to be ILLEGAL since the market doesn't allow unauthorized tours - security approached and demanded the guide will stop immediately, which was very embarrassing. Definitely skip.
Having a guided tour of Borough Market was much less chaotic. If we went alone we would have walked through trying to guess what the best food was and just left. It was so nice to eat from all different kinds of stands, learn about the history of the Market and London, and feel full at the end. Well worth it to have a guide if you really want to experience the best of the market!
Unfortunately Celia was unwell but in her place she sent the amazing Cara Withers. She was absolutely superb. Enthusiastic knowledgeable fun and very inclusive. The tour surpassed my high expectations in every way. All samples were generous and utterly delicious. The authenticity of the place came across very well and the passion of the producers and of our guide was impressive and infectious The group were soon bonded and we all got along as if we’d known each other already. That was down to Cara and her skills of leading these tours. We would recommend this with no reservations. Don’t eat before you go!!
Borough Market is a MUST DO in London! It's a perfect combination of amazing foods across many cultures, getting a taste of that 'locals experience', and the opportunity to go as deep as you like on its history. Trevelyan was our tour guide and was 5 star outstanding. Very knowledgeable, personable, and prepped quite a few of the experiences for us ahead of time. It may have been overwhelming for us if we showed up at Borough Market without a guide. Also of note, one of the four of us on the tour was vegetarian, and the tasting experience was easy to cater for that. More cities need something like Borough Market!
The tour was the best Great guide Sophia History and great personality we had lots of fun. The bites were great tried savory n sweets. Full after tour What a great experience Would recommend this as a must Just a big thanks
Lovely experience of Borough market in the morning, before it gets too crowded. Great food and Garry told us great stories about the market and the area.
Our guide,Gary, was a wealth of information and we got to experience a variety of foods. The quality of which was top notch. You won’t leave the tour hungry. Highly recommend the experience. Another thing that made the tour more memorable was Gary’s sense of humour.
Great tour by Trevelyan. He was a fantastic story teller, interesting with his facts. Food was amazing. The market spectacular. Would have enjoyed a cocktail in stead of dessert on the tour, but overall would highly recommend.
This was an outstanding tour. Our guide, Erik, was full of information and pleasant to be with. The food choices were amazing. We tasted some very British foods, Fish and Chips and Sausage Rolls. We had Indian vegetable Samosas. We even had empanadas. There were several sweet treats and, of course, tea. Making arrangements with James was easy to do. He made note of our dietary restrictions. I will, certainly, do another tour on our next trip to London.
This was so much fun. Great stories - food related and market related. Good pacing. Excellent variety in tastings. Good knowledge in terms of the random questions as well. James is very personable. Small group made navigating around the market easy. Come with an empty stomach! Would definitely recommend.
We did already many food tours around the world, but this one was really outstanding. Apart from a really large variaty of food (british, argentinien, iraqui, ...) - the amount and quality of food and drinks was exceptional. You are afterwards really full up, and ladies might even skip some bites. Our tour guide Anna (we were her first ever clients on this tour) did a great job. We can fully recommend this tour. At the first sight it seems a bit expensive, but you get great value for it. Stephan+Simona Germany
Sophia was such an amazing guide thru the borough market! She created a delicious tour that matched our interests. We learned so much about the history of the market and were able to try some many delicious bites! Thanks for a great morning!
Eric was an amazing guide. The entire trip was filled with a delicious variety of foods, fun information, and a fun crowd to hang with in an unfamiliar place.
Fascinating, history, and flavor filled tour! Our guide, Trevelyan, was extremely knowledgeable, funny and kind, and he made the history of the market, and London, very interesting to see and hear. He was also patient with our many questions and our goofy senses of humor. There were many opportunities to try food we'd never had before, which was great! I would highly recommend this tour and guide!
For his first time, our tour guide Eric was great! The food was amazing and the history was interesting. My personal favorite was the sausage roll
An amazing history and food tour through the market. Gary was a very informative, enthusiastic, and friendly guide! I would suggest anyone go on this tour for their trip to London
Highly recommend this tour Gary our tour guide very informative and easy going food variety very good great way to see area around borough market
Gary our guide was very infirmative and went out of his way to help us. The food was good with a great selection
This tour with Sofia was great! She was knowledgable, fun, and did a great job adapting to the needs of our group. She knew the ins and outs of Borough Market, and showed us the highlights of the market and the area. The food she selected for us was excellent - we had trouble choosing our favorite at the end of the tour! We left the tour feeling full, and having had a great time, thanks to Sofia!
This tour was amazing. It turned out that we were the only 2 on the tour, which made it very personalised. Trevallian was a great guy and very knowledgeable whilst having a laugh. We covered a lot of ground both within the markets and the surrounding area and were so full by the end of our tour that we certainly didn't need lunch. I would have no hesitation in referring you ...great fun thankyou.
Very enjoyable day, with delicious samplings. Really enjoyed the mini historical lessons as well. Recommend to everyone.
It was a really great tour. Sam our tour guide provided us with information and delicious food! Highly recommended!!
