Kevin was our guide and he was a brilliant historian. He gave us so much information on monuments, war hero's, royal families, etc. I wish we had time for additional tours with him.

Stephen was awesome! He stayed in touch the day before and the day of our tour. It was very easy to find him near Big Ben. He was very knowledgeable of English history but also kept it very light and fun! We actually did the 5-hour walking tour and it was great! Feel very comfortable booking this tour.
Excellent walking guide and very knowledgeable. Enjoyed learning about the local traditions and past history of London and England as a whole. High recommendations if you want to learn about local history and get a little exercise at the same time. Top recommendations.
Stephen was amazing and was very knowledgeable. After getting to know us in the first hour, he was flexible and made sure we saw sites that were meaningful to us. For example, we side stepped to see the Harry Potter door and where Jane Austen stayed after knowing I was a school librarian. When we said our son was a US Army member, he made sure he included military facts. He was interested in our curiosity! Would love to book more of his specialized tours.
Kevin was great! Great history & trivia about London. If I did this on my own, would have missed a lot. Lots of walking, fortunately we had good weather. Would definitely recommend!
We had the best time with Kevin. He is just kind of go with the flow and took us the things we enjoyed! I learned more ok this tour than any history class!
We were a family of 5 from Los Angeles, and we were lucky enough to end up with Kevin as our guide, and the tour was beyond expectations. It was raining and Kevin made the tour so interesting and captivating, we hardly paid attention to the weather! If Kevin doesn't know it or point it out, it's probably not worth knowing about. We have been on many tours in different places in the world, but this is one you won't want to miss. We covered practically everything there is to see in central London in a few hours. Book a tour - ask for Kevin and prepare to be "wowed!"
A great historical walking tour of all the best stops to see in London! Our guide, Kevin was a wealth of knowledge and worth every penny!
Stephen’s knowledge of London and history comes to life in this tour. We covered the government section including Buckingham and St James palaces, Big Ben and Parliament. We stopped in Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, China Town and finished at Piccadilly. Along the way, we ducked into quaint neighborhoods where famous artists and dignitaries had resided. Stepehen provided several little known facts about British royalty and military history. He possesses the ability to pivot as well if there is a particular spot or site you would care to see.
Our group of six had a great walking tour with Stephen, not even the rain could dampen the experience. The pacing was great and included plenty of insights and a pub stop! I would highly recommend this tour for the customized experience.
Stephen was an absolute pleasure as a tour guide. We really enjoyed the experience and could not recommend it more highly. Thank you!
What an amazing tour! Stephen was an incredible guide whose knowledge of London and its history is most impressive. At every turn, he taught us something new. I highly recommend his private tour over large group ones.
Kevin was a wonderful and very passionate guide who told us so much about the sites we visited. An enjoyable walk at a leisurely place visiting some off the beaten track places tourists would miss that locals know about.
We booked the 5 hour walking tour, Stephen, our guide was fantastic! We were able to see all of the typical touristy sites along with many of the “secret” gardens and places that only a local would know about. Stephen is very knowledgeable, we learned new many things about London. The pace was perfect, the jokes were funny! Thank you, Stephen
Can’t say enough good things about our tour with Kevin! He was spot on from start to finish. He has the knowledge and personality that make for an educational and enjoyable experience. Highly recommend for information and sights you won’t get anywhere else. Ask for Kevin.
This tour was amazing!!! Stephen was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He had so many unique facts to share and happily answered any questions. Highly recommend!
Stephen gave an absolutely incredible tour and probably knows just about everything there is to know about London. There are endless ways to personalize the tours and I do not plan on visiting London without scheduling one first. Such an amazing time for travelers of all ages, interests, etc. and cannot recommend enough!
Stephen is amazing and so knowledgeable about the ins and outs of London! My group had a fantastic time and really enjoyed his comedic timing. He went out of his way to make sure everyone’s interests were included. Stephen also has some insane lore that makes the tour a thousands times better. I was truly able to enjoy the history and importance of the buildings and monuments on another level thanks to Stephen’s expertise.
Stephen was our tour guide to see Big Ben, Parliament, the Changing of the Guards and the Tower of London- he was wonderful!! He was so knowledgeable and he had a great sense of humor. We learned so much about London and we had a great time exploring the city with him. I would highly recommend booking a tour with Stephen. Tara Calihan, Phoenix, AZ
Kevin is amazing! Very knowledgeable, honest and portrays his true love of history in London! Answering any question and gives you sneak peaks into other great tours offered.
We had an amazing time with Stephen. Lots of great info and lots of laughs! I will hope to walk with Stephen again next time I'm in London.
This past August, I had the pleasure of visiting London with a group of nine friends, and went on an exceptional walking tour led by Stephen. His captivating presence and remarkable ability to engage each of us with a wealth of knowledge—from history and architecture to fascinating insights into James Bond and Harry Potter—made the experience unforgettable. It was undoubtedly the highlight of our trip. I look forward to doing it again on my next visit to London—if only we could have Stephen accompany us everywhere! I cannot recommend this experience highly enough—10/10!
Stephen and the tour were incredible!! One of my favorite things in our whole London visit was this tour! Stephen, our tour guide, was very warm, personable, knowledgeable, lively, and entertaining - would have spent all day following him around and listening to his fun facts about even the most inconspicuous buildings and landmarks; he made everything remarkable! The tour was engaging and very personalizable - we did some standard walking tour mixed with 2 pub stops and I thought it was the perfect mix of educational and super fun 🤩 Any themed tour by Ye Olde England Tours is certified to be good - don't miss out!
Stephen was easily one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had! He was extremely knowledgeable and seemed to know everything about everything in London while also keeping it fun for our group. His tour was the highlight of our trip in London!
Stephen was an amazing guide! He was very knowledgeable of the area and all the sites. We had a great time!
Kevin was a phenomenal tour guide. We walked from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, seeing tons of sites in London from Big Ben to the Tower of London. He regularly asked if I needed a stop but was happy to march on. He also added a ton of fun anecdotes to the history he shared. Fantastic!
We had an amazing private walking tour with our guide, Stephen. Stephen was punctual at our hotel as agreed upon via text the day before. He is a very friendly, genuine and authentic person. His extensive breadth of knowledge of sites that we visited was impressive. I asked many questions and he managed to answer all of them. Stephen was very patient and stepped up to the task of letting my tween see and pet some horses. I would absolutely recommend this company. I look forward to taking more tours in the future.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! This tour takes you past all items on itinerary and you get so much more. Guide Stephen is highly knowledgeable and a Freeman of the City of London (we learned what that was on the tour). Great info on history, royals, Parliament, churches, modern buildings and great places to eat. Stephen also made recommendations on opportunities to take pictures and even took pictures of us so we didn’t have to miss the background with selfies. We did this our first full day in London and the rest of our trip we ate at restaurants, including a pub from the 1600s, all recommended on tour. We did the 2 hour extension and if your feet can handle it, well worth it. Walked 11 miles that day and learned how to navigate all key tourist areas. We will book a private tour with Stephen each time we return to London.
We did the extended walking tour and absolutely LOVED our time with Stephen. His depth of knowledge of both history and current events made our tour fascinating and fun. We were in London at a really interesting time (between Prime Ministers!) And he answered ALL of our questions...which were many for these curious Americans! We'll be back in London next summer with our kids and will definitely book with Stephen again and recommend him to anyone who wants a great tour of London.
I scheduled this tour on my birthday and boy was it worth every penny. Kevin was incredibly personable and hugely knowledgeable about London's main points of interests. I loved every minute of the tour and I'll definitely be looking to have him as a tour guide for future trips to London!
I havent been to london in about a decade and we had the best time roaming around the city with Kevin. He knows the ins and outs of both the history and the streets of london. I loved the stories he had about moments of the past and how he cited what'd happened in random spots we'd walked to. All in all, a great way to start our trip!
Steve was amazing!!! Full of fun facts and interesting stories. We really enjoyed the pace of the tour and how many hidden treasures he showed us. We have travelled Extensively and have done many tours, by far this was the best. Worth every penny! Can’t wait to have The privilege of another tour with Steve.
This was a fantastic tour and Simon a very knowledgable tour guide. Although we had been there for a few days before our tour and walked by some sights, Simon answered all the questions we had and added points and facts we would not have know about (with lots of humour). The tour covered a lot and probably one of the best things we did.
I would recommend this tour to everyone visiting London! the tour guide was extremely knowledgable and never felt by any means boring. He catered directly to our liking and seemed to know everything about the city. We were extremely impressed by all the various opportunities he made us aware of! I wish we had another day in the city to explore all the options. I loved how the guide was always informing us about information and history of the city, I feel like our family had never learned more about any place we have visited! I would recommend to anyone visiting to definitely go with full energy, and be willing to follow the lead of the guide, I was astounded by the quantity of things I had never known before, yet perfectly catered to what we wished to see.
Simon really made our tour special. He showed us everything we asked for and even more. He was considerate of our time constraints and got us exactly where we needed to be on time. He kept the pace quick but also was very patient with us taking pictures, asking questions, etc. 1000% would recommend if you’d like an insider view of London!
We had a great time on our walking tour of London. We saw Parliament, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Westminster Abbey, and even the changing of the horse guards where one member of our party got some extra attention from one of the horses! Stephen was very knowledgeable and told us a great deal about the things we were seeing. He met us at our hotel and led us everywhere we needed to go saving a lot of time and planning on our part. The day before we had another company cancel our tour we had scheduled with them which led to us doing some unplanned wandering and seeing things such as St. James Park which had originally been scheduled for this tour. Stephen was great about being flexible and adjusting on the fly to show us things we hadn’t seen yet. This made for a great day and I recommend doing it early in your stay to get a feel for the city.
Kevin was absolutely wonderful Not only was he so informative on the facts but he told me so So many wonderful stories I am still telling my husband all Of them ❤️❤️❤️❤️ We spent almost four hours together and it was honestly the most enjoyable way to start my trip in London! Just wonderful! Ask for kevin!
Stephen was a wonderful tour guide. He showed us so many sites in London in a very short period of time. Stephen had so many stories that were interesting and humorous. Would highly recommend his tours. Could not have had a better experience!
Stephen, He was early for the walk and very knowledgeable. He was so friendly and we learned a lot about England. It was one of the best tours we have ever taken. I highly recommend him for a tour of london. Found out he does several different kinds of tours so there are so many to choose from. He has written several books on history of England and was one of the first private tour operators in England. We had so much fun walking the streets of london and learning about all the little ins and outs of london.
Kevin was a great tour guide! He’s a local that grew up in London. He tailored our tour to our interests and was enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge with us. He had tons of little funny trivia information that you would never learn from a book or online. He also gave us great recommendations on where to eat and visit after the tour. I highly recommend this tour to get accumulated to London.
Our guide, Kevin, was extremely knowledgeable of everything he showed us but also of random questions we asked of him. We viewed popular places and hidden gems! We also got to see to see a royal leaving St James Palace! Everything was quite brilliant really!
Great way to learn about London which is truly an incredible city. Get Stephen as your guide. He was very knowledgeable and modified the tour for us as we went based on what we wanted to see. The flexibility was very appreciated. A must do if you are in London.
Stephen - our tour guide was gracious enough to meet us in our lobby of our hotel. From the start he had the most positive and incredible energy and engaged us well over the 3 hour time limit of this tour. Every corner of London, Stephen was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what he was telling us. He modified the tour for our liking. This was the best time we had in London. I strongly recommend contacting Stephen for a tour of London if you are in town. It’s worth every penny (pound!) Even thru some rain we had the best time. Thanks Stephen!
I cannot rate Stephen, the tour and his knowledge highly enough! The guy is a walking encyclopedia of history with a whole load of personality and sense of humour not to mention humility chucked in. We were pretty vague in terms of outlining what we wanted other than 'we would like to see the sights and some interesting stuff'....not exactly an easy brief! He met us at one of the tube stations and from the get go it was explanations about the big stuff and bits of info here and there, making us look up, down and around. My husband and I have 2 boys, 9 and 13, and Stephen did amazingly well at keeping them interested and focused and whilst my brief was lame, he was quick to pick up on what we wanted and what the boys were interested in. He picked up on the fact that rude and gruesome and weird was a hit and he sure hit the mark with hitting us with many facts that enthralled them. It wasn't just about the main sites, it was about learning about the stuff that ordinarily you wouldn't even know was there or would have walked by and thought nothing of. I am now eager to book another of his tours and have a friend who wants to go and is going to take us too and I can't wait as there was so much more we could have learnt (husband has a bad leg so shorter than we would have planned). I literally would recommend Stephen to anyone because I KNOW that they wouldn't be disappointed regardless of agerange. In fact the best review ever and confirmation of how awesome he is is that the 13 year old said " It was incredible, I thought I would get bored, but I wasn't bored once!" Now that really is confirmation of being the best tour guide ever! Thanks Stephen.
Spectacular tour and fantastic tour guide! Thank you Stephen! This was an epic experience.... a jam packed adventure and the best way to see London. It was fun, informative, and over way too soon. Stephen was extremely knowledgeable about this beautiful city and it's history and he delivered the information with a kindness and heart full of love for his home. I highly recommend this tour and any other Ye Olde England Tour....I am ready to return and book my next tour ASAP!
Met with Kevin as arranged and with no hassle. Communication was excellent and he immediately put my fiancé and my minds at rest. Very knowledgable and interesting throughout the day and the time just flew by. A very easy guide to spend time with and a cannot recommend enough. Many thanks, George & Vic.
Fantastic tour and tour guide! Stephen was awesome! I would highly recommend! Dry professional and kept the tour interesting. Very good value for the money.
Great way to orient ourselves to London on our first day. Kevin was a wonderful guide, informative and entertaining.
Kim and I had a great day with Kevin. We learned so much that we didn't know about London, various sites, Royal Family, etc. Kevin is a walking history book.
From the moment we met our guide, Kevin Pearman, it was a great experience! He showed us and told us so many things about London that we would have never known had we walked around on our own. It was a great day. Would do it again!
